upgraded because of high sierra and have been using omnigraffle pro for 5 years. If not already using omnigraffle, find something else.

I used to use Omni Graffle because it seemed to do things really well. Now my version 5.4.4 is crashing upon start, and this new version is giving me an automatic layout that is simply stupid. It's misaligned, has arrows crossing, and put a box at the very top along side the start, despite it pointing to a circle at the very bottom of the graph. I will not be spending money on this.

There’s upgrade pricing and there’s complete robbery. Why on earth should longtime customers have to buy at the same price as brand new users. I know the App Store doesn’t make it easy to do upgrade pricing but it sure makes it easy for me to drop this app for something else. Good-bye forever Omni Group, it was great times while it lasted!

This is my go-to flowcharting program for years and years. Then one day they slip in an update and lock you out of your own program to force you to pay for something I didn’t want nor need. Shady business practices. How do they get away with this????

I don’t use Omnigraffle much, so I was shocked when it kept crashing over and over. This lead me to realize it doesn’t work, and there’s a new version. Fine. So I download it, it’s another $200 for the same features I had???? And there doesn’t appear to be an upgrade from “OmniGraffle Pro”, which I purchased years ago from the store? I’m a product manager, I understand product lifecycle issues. This is not acceptable. If the OS changes, go back and fix your app. You chose the pricing model, you live with the consequences. I’m seeking alternatives.

There is really nothing as powerful as this app I have run across for making design diagrams the exact way I want. Some programs are faster and more pre-built, but when I want something to look like I want it to look, this product has no peer. I find diagrams to be one of the most important tools for communication, a picture is worth a 1000 words is not far from the mark. This app requires some investment in time, but for me, it is well worth it. Thank you for making this app so powerful and pleasing to the eye.

This is such a scam! I cannot even download my purchase because it keeps downloading version 7, then it says go look for my previous purchase version 5 or 6 but that’s not even available anymore. This is not the cheapest appt to just lose access to!

Bought this last summer, now I don’t have access to it since it upgraded. This is FRUAD, and I will be calling the BBB on their practices, and request that Apple Store pull all of their packages off Apple Store. This company needs to be sued out of existance. DO NOT BUY, STAY AWAY FROM OTHER PRODUCT THEY SELL.

I agree with Kaizoku0506. I had a paid version of OmniGraffle Pro. They tricked me into downloading an "upgrade" which then replaced my old version for which I already paid. Then the "upgrade" ran out of demo time and told me I'd have to pay for it. So now I'm left with nothng that is functional. Which means I lost all the work I did in the previous version. NOT HAPPY.

The tone they set is that we can't help it if our app wont work well if you download from App Store. However, I think they put the app on the app store, didn't they? I have never had this experience with any other App I have gotten through the App store. They should take responsibility for their customers experience and fix it or allow the affected customers to download from their website instead without having to repurchase the software again. If they arent happy with the deal they struck with Apple, they shouldnt take it out on us poor paying users!!! My 2 cents. My recommendation would be to definitely not buy through the app store!">

I have used this app for several versions and I used to be a big believer in it. However, the past several months the experience has become unbearable. Every time I go to use it I encounter an error that says the application is damaged and cannot be opened. So, you have to follow these steps (from Omnigroup's help page) "1 - Delete the app from your Mac via the Launchpad app. (In our experience, deleting is more effective than merely dragging it to the Trash or by other methods.) Within the Launchpad, click and hold on the app icon, then click the black “X” icon that appears. 2 - Log out of the App Store on your Mac (Menu Bar >  > App Store, then Store > Sign Out). 3- Reboot your Mac. 4- Reopen the App Store, and log back in with your Apple ID (Store > Sign In). 5 - Click your account name or photo at the bottom of the sidebar to see your past purchases.
