I purchased this because I wanted to support you all because the first art set is AWESOME. Why did you want to be like the infamous procreate!? There is already a bunch of art apps like it. Yours was different! I was so happy to find artset BECAUSE it is more intuitive and NOT like Procreate. I love the the brush you move to decide how much paint you want in it! It was awesome why did you change that. Come on guys you had a great program, you could have improved on, not fallen down into the s***** Procreate rut. Be ye different so wrong wrong wrong. Thank the art gods you kept the original.

Being a working illustrator and having every quality illustration/painting app available (Procreate, Adobe’s Range, Affinity, ArtRage and more..) they all have their pros and cons and here is where Art Set excels... Brush engine. To lay down a 3D painted s***** is quickly becoming better and better and right now, Art Set has beat out ArtRage in that corner of performance and realism. I cannot hit this with the full 5 stars yet (and will once a few additions are made) due to the lack of some critical options like a cropping tool, gesture controls like two finger tap Undo’s as well as better UI integration of existing features like deleting a mask (had to guess a little to find that dragging it away from the layers panel deleted it). I was happy to find the new version of Art Set as I have been keeping an eye on it for updates as the old versions were just a little to gimmicky for me to pull the trigger on a purchase. I’m happy with the purchase now and hope to see more updates in the future. I could see this going very far if it offers up some essential document management features. TL:DR Pros: -Brush engine beats ArtRage (not as many options as Procreate) -Best traditional look for 3D painted strokes -Major Improvement from previous versions Cons: -No Brush Pressure Sizing option (always starts with a fine rapper) -UI is uncluttered and that’s great but also leaves you missing access to some widely used options for quicker workflows. Awesome job team, looking forward to further updates!

I am really loving this new version. I miss the look of the old art drawers with the real looking supplies, but this runs more smoothly and has many more features. I especially love the watercolor... wow! It’s hard to find good watercolors in digital programs for tablets. Most feel fake or are tricky to work with and require tricks and extra steps. In this app, you just paint and go. I also love the ballpoint pen and the paper textures. It’s also nice to be able to select a canvas size. Thank you!

I just uploaded art set for yesterday. At first I was disappointed that I have to pay to unlock it, but I’ve been exploring this newer version while comparing it to the previous version and I am enjoying it so far. Thank you so much for the update, and for allowing to keep the previous version without interference. I was afraid I would lose my art work, which I didn’t!

I am pretty crazy about the earlier app Art Set Pro. Art Set 4 has great features, including some great natural media tools, but it cannot really replace the original app. And the tools have significant lag— that is, the brush s***** appears late and follows behind where your finger or stylus is on the screen. Also, some canvas or canvas sizes seem to slow down the paint tools a lot. I am not sure if that is related to canvas resolution or not. I will definitely give this app 5 stars if you fix the brush lag and allow for use of all the canvas presets. It’s a great app, it just needs a little ‘tuneup”. Thank you for the work you have already done.

Thank you for explaining the dark mode bulb which helps quite a lot for more high contrast fonts - but think the default font might still be a little darker though but this solves most of it for me. Tremendous excellence & vision throughout Art Set 4. Glad the other versions are still there as they each have different strengths I rely on. Thank you for responding.

It would be awesome if you were able to include support for Wacom’s Fineline stylus support in a future update. I love your app and have both this as well as art set pro. The most recent update improved performance on my air2 immensely and since I can not use an Apple Pencil I am still holding out hope that you will consider this. Thank you

How can an app purporting to be for traditional artists ignore a color system? Painters need three things, something to paint on, a brush, and PAINT! Artists need color management tools and this has none. What’s worse they got rid of the color mixing tool that was unique and fantastic and replaced it with, well, nothing. There is a page with preselected color, a page simply called palette with a few preselected colors but no info where they came from, how to add new palettes or save old ones, no way to import palettes from other paintings or apps, and absolutely no info how to use anything in the color section of the so called manual. If there is a way to manage color it is extremely well hidden! Greatly disappointed by what could have been a real breakthrough update.
