My main gripe about the app is that there is a small delay in the animation when you place your stone. (Compare with the responsiveness of Tsumego Pro) The UI is messy and not very intuitive, but I got used to it. The actual content of the app is very good, I’m having fun.

Loving the App. I love how the CPU gets harder/easier based on your skill level.

through extended research, beyond just the game, i have figured out for the most part how to score the matches. The issue arises in the game when certain points on the map are awarded to a player with no clear explanation as to why. Even according to the tutorials provided by the game itself the scoring is contradicting. Maybe its’s just my ignorance? i cant seem to find an answer

This app is not what it claims. There are no interactive tutorials. Just html pages to slog through.

This app does NOT teach you anything. It merely supplies essentially what is a digital book of rules about the game. It does NOT show you how to play and give you various exercises to solidify the lesson (as it states in the description). I want my money back!

It's impossible to learn anything. It's very aggressive and there are no easy settings for beginning players to get their bairing. Just pure annihilation. If you are trying to learn go, I recommend Tsumigo Pro. Don't bother with this until you've mastered Go and are looking for a challenge.

I have wanted to learn this game for the longest time. This app has a smooth fluid interactive iBook-like tutorial and wonderful fair gameplay. My only issue is that the tutorial does not really explain how to win the game, but via the numerous in-game tools it is possible after a few gameplay experiments this is possible. Keep up the good work!

This is a good Go app, but suffers from two major problems in "autohandicap" mode. 1) The AI gets smarter at the same time as you lose handicap. This leads to level transitions where you will win 90% of games on one level and lose 90% of games on the next level. Thanks to point (2), you can be stuck in this boring, frustrating loop for a very long time. 2) The automatic downleveling mechanic makes it very difficult to adapt to the new difficulty. Once you go up a level it's very easy to lose three times. The fact that I then have to spend 10-15 minutes winning three easy games to get back to that challenge kills my motivation to keep playing. My suggestions to the dev: - Double the number of levels to make the difficulty curve smoother. When a player levels up, take away a handicap stone first, then make the AI smarter, and alternate from then on. - Make automatic downleveling optional. Let me hit my ahead against the wall if I want to. If the concern is that someone could accidentally win 3 games and advance, increase the number of consecutive wins required to level up as a function of consecutive losses. It's true that I could simulate these rules by using manual handicap instead of automatic, but I don't want to have to keep track of these things myself.

always wins by a wide margin even with "auto handicap" (it doesnt support a true go handicap). biggest waste of $3 on the app store BEWARE!
