There is doubt that your Grubhub is horrible. You are a food delivery company that doesn’t have enough drivers to pick up food and deliver it. My food sat ready at the restaurant for over an hour an a half. And then you canceled the order after all other food options in the area were closed. So I go without eating for the night and what do you do? You gave me a coupon to use your garbage service again sometime in the future. In the event I want to wait several hours for food that will undoubtedly be delivered cold, I can now get $10 off. Horrible company. Horrible business model. Why would you even accept orders if you don’t have a driver to deliver? It’s completely ridiculous. Also, you tip in advance even if there is a high likelihood that your food arrives late, cold, spilled or not at all. Highly recommend any other service available.

The coupon codes never work

Horrible, horrible, horrible! This is the second time I’ve had issues with this company, if you can’t deliver consistent result don’t do this kind of business. They offer less than horrible estimated delivery times that usually show up over an hour over that said time! Like is this serious? Just stop offering your service to areas that you obviously don’t care/ don’t have control over when it comes to quality. I could have saved myself the wait time and tip to your horrible staff and got it myself. Don’t offer convenience when you can’t deliver it!

Every time I order I wait for hours and nothing comes, they are ver quick to charge me tough. Just an app is not enough is the restaurant is working with other 5 apps and their own site no wonder my orders never go through. Just not worth to give my data and payment information for nothing. Yes you don’t own the restaurant but the whole point of you existence is that they send the order anything besides this is an optional. Cheers

Habitually late. If your food says it’s arriving at “estimated time” be sure you add on another 30-45 min. Never again

After using Grubhub for over a year, I have to finally admit to myself that it has completely gone downhill. It is clear that customer service does not care about the actual customer, and is willing to constantly blame the restaurant when in fact many times it is actually GrubHubs error. We tested this theory at my best friends restaurant, where I ordered a meal to my house, but was standing in restaurant when I did so. I was able to glimpse my order as it came through. It was interesting, first of all it is difficult for them to read the notes section. So when you make a special request, not all restaurants see it the same. There were other inconsistencies across the board. My most recent issue with trying to use the app to order lunch from my favorite restaurant. Over and over again the app kept telling me that my bank was having a problem with my method of payment. Funny, there’s a whole load of money in there. I have had this problem in the past. In fact, with Grubhub it seems to happen often. I don’t know what it is about their system communicating with my two separate banks. I tried for over an hour to place this order, each time being told that there was a problem with my payment. I tried multiple cards, multiple bank accounts. I remembered that another popular app Head just recently added my favorite restaurant to its app. So I went and placed my order on that app, it is already on its way and it is been a measly 15 minutes since I ordered. Oddly, that app didn’t have any problems with my payment method. And ironically, the entire thing that I ordered was cheaper through the other app then through this one. I keep hearing how another app has higher delivery charges. I don’t know how that’s possible, because my total with everything I ordered was five dollars less. 🙄 Grubhub it’s time to step it up. It didn’t used to be this bad.

Very well rounded app easy to navigate. Enjoyed ordering from a few of my favorite hometown restaurants. Delivery drivers are friendly and the food is hott! Will be using again and again.

Ordered at I love Pizza with a promo code of 50% off. After 10 minutes received a msg. that order is cancelled and promo code is not longer available! nice scam..

I won’t find my place where I live

I paid for an order from wawa it never came and Grubhub refused to refund me. At first they said it wasn’t delivered and also claimed that driver could find my address. I ordered from the same place twice this week and no problems, but today there was apparently an issue.

Think twice before using this service. They will deliver only part of your meal, then say sorry but you’ll have to pay more money for us to deliver the rest because we made no effort to verify what we were picking up. If a package delivery service did the same thing they would be out of business immediately, but since GrubHub is convenient, we put up with it. Don’t.

Like the app a lot, only negative is the delivery times seem overly optimistic as compared to when it really arrives. But will keep using it!

I made an order at 11:30pm and my estimated delivery time at first was 12:09am to 12:20am then changed to 12:45am to 12:55am. It is currently 1:18 am and I still haven’t received my food I hope I can receive a discount or something for having to wait a very long time.

senseless. why is it neither the site nor app are designed to only show you whats open now? countless times ive found places that are already closed in my search results and have even clicked into them to place an order before finding out they were closed. seems so basic & intuitive to apply that sort requirement by default, no?

When trying to chat with customer support, it takes far too long for anyone to answer. It says you are number 123 in line and it takes forever for anyone to answer your chat questions. I could have ordered dinner...waited a half hour for it to be ready...and walked to the restaurant and back in the time it takes for the customer service to respond. Other than that...I have enjoyed my experience.

I just downloaded and opened the app only to find that there are just two restaurants from which to choose. Quite disappointing to me. Subway and one other, hardly what I had expected.

Great service and food.

Every regional location has a different leader for food delivery, grubhub is the clear leader here in Albuquerque. I recently had to use the other option available and received cold food. Used this app enough to say i have confidence in every order i send to grubhub, in Albuquerque.

This is not the first time this has happened. I ordered food to my job. The website was not up to date so I had to place a second order for the same restaurant to get the food I wanted. Then when the food was delivered I was given the wrong order. I was told to contact GrubHub so I did. This was at about 7:30. It is now 9:00 and I still have not gotten my actual order, I was given an attitude by the driver and the person I have been talking with is supposedly getting me to a specialist to figure this out (1 hour since I was told I would be connected to a specialist) and they only want to give me $20. Unprofessional drivers and unacceptable solutions. So angry. Never again

The app is very easy to use and navigate, but when I placed my order, GrubHub never delivered my food, and never contacted me about it. The restaurant had to call me and tell me that GrubHub never sent a driver. The restaurant eventually sent a waitress to deliver my food. GrubHub was a bummer.

Works well when things go right. God forbid the restaurant is backed up or the driver picks up the wrong order or driver gets stuck in traffic. You will be waiting and waiting and waiting. Then you call the restaurant who throw their hands up or at best are willing to remake the order if you pick up yourself. You will get 0 proactive status from Grubhub. In fact you can’t even find their support number. This has happened once too many times with me.

The drivers do not deliver the food door or don’t even get out of their car. One time, I waited over an hour and had no update that I called Grubhub only for them to inform me that there were no drivers in the area to deliver my food.

Much better than Uber eats!!!!!!! & the drivers seem nicer and less creepy

Fairly easy to order Food with many choices for home delivery

I’m generally a big fan of Grubhub, but my food was over an hour late. I had to call grubhub, they had to track down my driver and when all was said and done, my food was delivered cold, and arrived an hour after the 8:15pm-8:30pm time I was promised. Also note the restaurant from which I ordered is only 15 easy blocks away. I don’t mind having to wait for my food, but please work on accurately estimating delivery time or communicating late orders to the customer.

Ordered from here a few times and they lack customer service enough to call you when your order is going to be an hour late to let you know. Had to call the restaurant myself. Be warned!!! Better options for delivery.

I tried GrubHub for the first time, yesterday. The gentleman was waaay slow in delivering my order, which was less than 12 minutes away; however, he was super nice. I decided to try again today and see if yesterday was just a glitch. I will find out soon! Wish me luck!

However I don’t like Grubhub because for some reason i I think i get blacklisted and atleast they don’t tell me why.

Major scam!

I live 2-3 miles from about 20 popular restaurants but my GrubHub app only picks up two Chinese restaurants and one of those is further away than the others. Why is that?

3 of the last 6 orders I have placed have been canceled one hour after I placed them. I was given a 40 minute ETA when placing the order, heard absolutely nothing, then suddenly get a call saying my order is canceled because they can’t contact the restaurant. “Why did it take an hour to notify me of this?” was the question I asked each time. They had no answer. I have switched to uber eats and haven’t had a problem yet—and it’s usually cheaper!

Three times I ordered with Grubhub, three times my food was an hour late, or more. There are other food delivery apps out there, far better. I gave Grubhub three chances, I don’t need to try anymore.

Do not use! They have THE WORST customer service EVER. I ordered food from Denny’s and was told my payment was declined, but it wasn’t. I never got my food and they stole my money. The supervisors wouldn’t help, they didn’t give me a promo code or put the order through on their side or refund me anything! Not even an apology!! I was told they weren’t going to help and if I wanted my money to call my bank. So rude and unprofessional!!

I’ve tried Grub Hub twice now and both times have been horrible. Both deliveries took well over an hour from time of order and the food was cold by the time it got to me the first time. The second time the driver brought the wrong food, and then said it was the restaurants fault and there was nothing they could do. Said I would have to call and try to get a refund. I’ve tried a rival food delivery service going to one of the same locations and it took well under an hour and the food was still fresh and correct when I received it. Will not be using Grub Hub again in the future.

I wanted to try this app so I entered my address but it said it wouldn’t even deliver in my area

I am not the type of person that writes reviews But I couldn’t let this go unheard. When my order was delivered “not all my food was in the bag”. Thank goodness I check before the person pulled off. When I said to Grubhub delivery person “This isn’t all my food”. The delivery person said “ This is all they give me” in a Nonchalant attitude, then told me I need to call Grubhub and then drove away. I called Grubhub they customer service was Great. They refunded they money for the food I didn’t received. But I believe that if your delivering food you should check and make sure everything is in the bag period! This is the reason why I will never use Grubhub again or suggest anyone I know to Grubhub. It should be a requirement that Grubhub deliver should check the order before delivering anybody food.

My Delivery driver was great. She was very nice and friendly. On time. Everything I asked for she delivered. I didn’t get her name. But, thank you again.

It looks sharper and more well put together then the website.. but it pretty much ends there. 4 out of 5 orders are late. Yes, it’s better than Uber eats who has zero customer service.. but I expected a lot more.

I never got to use my 12 dollars off because my order to canceled

I’ve attempted, twice, on two separate occasions to place an order for delivery at a restaurant 1-1.5hrs prior to the cut off time for breakfast and twice the restaurant has waited until minutes before cut off to announce that they are canceling my order. GH isn’t to blame, but it starts to reflect poorly on them. GH- Please advise the establishments you deliver for that if there is an issue with completing an order that a respectable time frame to notify of a cancellation should be adhered to?

I ordered Indian food and it has now been almost 2.5 hours. The Grubhub team refused to refund my money even after I told them what happened and I’m honestly so surprised. Deleting the app immediately and do not recommend downloading - a shady and disappointing app at best! You’re better off on UberEats and Postmates!

So many clicks to do the simplest things; website and app do not seem to communicate; so many restrictions on their coupons (and only explained in the fine print or when trying to apply the coupons); I used it, but going to try competitors cause using this app was just painful. Try harder!

I used app for very first time today. The food took over 2 hours to receive from the restaurant. The food was ready from the restaurant in 20 minutes but no driver from Grubhub. What a horrible service for the customer and the restaurant. The food arrives cold and stale. I would never use this service again. I had to give one star because Zero was not a choice.

It’s small, and very specific to me, and probably not a GrubHub problem at all, but I love sauces. I love them so much. And it would be great, just amazing, if you could get any sauce as extra from the menus. I’ll pay $0.50 or even $1 for extra dipping sauce. The notes don’t always get read and it just, well, bums me out when it gets to me, and it’s not exactly what I wanted, and then what? And then I’m stuck with soup. That’s what! Seriously, it’s the only thing I would love to see changed.

I filled my cart up for an order and when checking out a promo code was applied, however, upon checking out I was charged instantly but my order didn’t go through. I called customer support and the guy was useless. He couldn’t give me any solid answer as to what happened, how to avoid it from happening a second time, or how he can help. He told me to log out and try again. I had asked if there was a specific payment I needed to use and he said no. I did Apple Apple. I logged out and replaced my order again, and the exact same thing happened. I had to call back again and after being on hold it went to a survey and ended the call with the agent. So now I have two orders submitted, 2 charges, and no food. DON’T USE THIS APP. There are clearly better ones out there that won’t freeze your account.

Tried to use the app. When checking out I had a password issue that forced me to reset. When trying to do so, I got a “no reset claim” message. Was told by customer service that “I have no idea how to fix this”, and was given an email to message. I try to use the app and have to wait days to do it? Nope, app deleted and I moved on. Good luck making it with this level of customer service.

Apparently there's no participating restaurants in the city that I live in I was very excited to use this app apparently it's a no go for anybody in Muskogee Oklahoma which is a fairly decent size city oh well

Loved Foodler used many times. Esp being able to order for specific delivery times. With GH have been really disappointed. Several failures leaving unhappy family. Maybe it’s just where we live but can’t rely on this so deleting this app now.

Delivery is horribly inefficient, always late, and frequently missing ordered items. Also, GrubHub customer service is non-existent when trying to have orders, or charges corrected.

Restaurant and food is amazing. Poor delivery service. Food was ready for about 40 mins. We called the restaurant and they said the driver wasn’t due to pickup for another 20-30 mins, when according to the app the food was already 20-30 mins late. That meant our food was going to be cold and sitting for about 1 hour. Grubhub said there was nothing they could do about the order. Will not be ordering from Grubhub again. At least call your customers and inform them of the delay. Ill stick to doordash and ubereats where customer service is better.

I am a very patient and understanding customer but grubhub’s customer service is absolutely horrendous. If an item is missing I was informed by the customer service that there was no way of getting my incorrect item unless I placed a new order. I informed the rep that the missing item didn’t meet the minimum order requirements and also I’d have to pay a new delivery fee and tip. Only after holding for another 15 min I was told by a supervisor that I could in fact get my incorrect item re delivered. I’m so disappointed and probably will stop using this service in the future. I understand people make mistakes but a company should at least rectify the situation for their customers.

I ordered from here for the first time and it was devastating. The order took more time to even confirm and then later some technical issues . The restaurant sent a message that order is ready to pick up and it was weird because I scheduled delivery not pick up . After arguing with the restaurant they set a delivery which never arrived. The driver car broke down and finally they asked me if they should send another driver and before i could answer they said we have cancelled the order . A person is super hungry and has ordered something and then you get this type of treatment is so irritating and disaster. Also they did not even give me the same amount of discount coupons after the cancellation. My order got cancelled so which means the discount coupon should be applied for the next order right ? How can i trust such app which has given me so much trouble and then obviously i would prefer other apps that i have used earlier with no issues ever with same options ,same delivery fees, better tracking and commitment. Anyways i think i will continue with doordash because atleast i know i will get my food on time and its super simple to track .

Decent delivery

Ordered food from a local bar and the driver never showed up and now I’m out $6 buck for a tip to a driver that never showed

First order was tonight, was given an ETA of 7:26-7:36. Thirty two minutes after I ordered the app told me they were still preparing my food, sandwiches. I called the restaurant and they informed me my food was ready 15 minutes ago and they were waiting for the driver. They also told me I should contact Grubhub and cancel my order. I contacted Grubhub, was on hold for 4:35. When they answered their was one minute to have the food arrive at my house from the original ETA. The customer service rep tried to get me to keep the order at least 3 times stating the time window was still going to be met. I explained to him multiple times that the driver can’t drive 6 miles in 30 seconds. He proceeded to “briefly” put me on hold. Came back over five minutes later and again tried to convince me driver would deliver in time window. Horrible experience, never had this occur with other food delivery services. Zero stars!!!

I ordered through grub hub and got a confirmation email with an estimated delivery time. I waited an hour and then called the restaurant. Maria said we were out of her area. No call no food. They said that they called grub hub but I didn’t receive a call. Very disappointing.

First order was delivered wrong. Customer service didn’t know how to rectify. Said they would call back, but didn’t. Won’t be using Grub Hub again.

I don’t usually get my food on time. I ordered yesterday at 8am and finally canceled it around 10am even though it was supposed to come to me 40min after ordering. Got a free meal from calling grubhub though so I’d say they have good customer support and thats why there’s 1 star.

Everything was great, the sushi rolls were top notch. The order was correct, everything was still warm when it arrived.

My food comes Before or right on time they give you good recommendations

I’ve had so many issues with delivery and receiving orders from them. One I ordered a pizza and received it torn all up and shaken up in the box. Second I ordered a sandwich and never received it, when I called GRUBHUB they said I already went and picked the order up (why would I use GRUBHUB if I wasn’t going to have it delivered). When I asked to talk to a different customer service agent because the current one wasn’t helping with the issue he hung up on me. I was never able to resolve the issue. I’ve had multiple issues with GRUBHUB so now I will have to spend more and use the local delivery service in my city.

I keep getting an error message when I try to order with the app - something about filling in the required fields. If I’m ordering something with no options, what is there to fill out? I’ve signed in and ordered online with no problems, so I’m pretty sure it’s the app itself.

Don’t get me wrong, grub hub is cool. I’ve ordered from this app plenty of times. And each time I’ve gotten my food after two hours of placing the order, by then all the food has nearly gone cold. I’ve given this app a lot of chances and each chance has let me down. Could be the restaurant or the people that pick up the food..not sure but all I know is that im no longer ordering from here again!

This app is the worst. I’ve always had to wait more than 1 hour for the food to arrive no matter how close the store is, that’s fine but there are so many times that the food never arrived. It takes forever just to wait for the online service too. guys get another app. I’ve never dropped comments on any apps before but this one is so bad that I just can’t let go.

My food was never delivered and I have yet to receive a refund or even a response. Apparently something similar happened to a friend of mine. SAVE YOUR MONEY!!

It used to work. Got an update today and now it crashes every time I try to use it. Even tried to use the website on my phone and it kept redirecting me to your app that doesn’t work 👍🏽 was gonna order from you but seems I can’t 🤷🏻‍♀️ oh well. Back to DoorDash I go.

Usually pretty good but they really messed up recently. Our food never showed and when we called the restaurant they said someone from grub hub was supposed to pick it up and deliver it and that it had been sitting there for over an hour. When we tried calling Grubhub we were put on hold. Still resolving this at the moment but very upset. Also I can’t find where to review the restaurant on grubhub about the issue.

DO NOT USE THIS APP!! Scammers/Thieves!! I tried ordering but the app said it could not go through, but they charged me anyways!! I tried to replace it, and the same thing - the order did not go through , but they STILL took my money. TWICE. When i called customer service they refused to send the order anyways, and DID NOT give me a refund!! They STOLE $160 from me!!! This app is a SCAM do not use it!! their customer service line is a joke. they did absolutely nothing to compensate me, mind you I was on hold twice. I was knot able to get that money back for a few days because the bank had to take 3-5 business days to sort it out. This app is Horrible.

On the first page, it shows no minimum & a fee of 3.99. When I went to enter & place my order it shows a fee of 5.99. Which is correct?

What is wrong with PayPal for your app? Every other time it’s not processing my order. I then need to change my payment method to place my order. I only want to use PayPal.

Downloaded and placed my first order this evening with Taco Bell. Everything with the order process went smooth and said I should have my order between 8:43pm-8:53pm. At 8:57pm I called the restaurant because the app didn’t say that my order was out for delivery. The manager was very nice and stated they had literally just received my order on their screen and apologized profusely and advised that I contacted GrubHub. I called GrubHub and the system said my wait time should be less than 2 minutes multiple times. At 11 minutes into the call a gentleman came on the line and immediately started to blame Taco Bell and was quite rude. I was extremely frustrated at this point and all he offered initially was a $5 promo code. At 9:12pm my ordered was delivered while I was on the phone with customer service. My drink was incorrect and the food wasn’t the best. So one meal was refunded and I was given a promo code that is worthless to me because it will be a cold day in h*** before I spend money with GrubHub again. Thank you for showing me a service not to use.

I’ve used Grubhub in the past. They seemed reliable. Lately it’s been the opposite. I’ve placed repeated orders that were never sent to the restaurant. Poor customer service is an absolute deal breaker.

App doesn’t allow for real time tracking like Postmates. Also, bad that it has you add tip PRIOR to getting your food. If delivery is good, then tip is good. If bad, then why tip the driver for bad service? I sent info before about wrong order and poor service and was given a discount code (no actual apology about poor service or app design). Finally decided to give them a try again and tried code. Expired. Plus, when this order was picked up the app automatically then said the order was delivered. Luckily, the driver said he was on his way. I couldn’t track in the app so when he came he rang the doorbell and woke up the baby (entire reason I wanted to track order and be outside when order arrived). Poor app design. GrubHub would be good to hire people who designed the Postmates app. I have had very few issues with Postmates and the two times I have had problems they have responded very quickly and made it right. Too bad the restaurant my wife likes only uses this poor service for delivery.

I ordered a salad and it never arrived. I had to call and cancel it I was waiting for hours. I don’t blame the restaurant, I called and they had my order easy but the driver never came.

Every single time i order from here there’s an issue. I cant track my order, there’s no update of when it’s left the restaurant. There’s no update if my order is on the way if there’s an extended wait time.

I’m gluten intolerant, so that’s the first thing I look for. It’s unbelievably frustrating that restaurants that do have GF options don’t come up in the search results, and restaurants that don’t have anything even close do. I spend 20 minutes looking for food and then abandon in disgust. Yet another feature Grubhub has managed to s**** up. I miss Foodler.

I’m done with grubhub. The order is incorrect probably 30% of the time, and instead of correcting it they offer partial $5 refunds. I don’t want $5, I’m hungry and I want the food I paid for. This has happened one too many times, so I’m doneski. I highly recommend Blue Apron. It’s fresh, healthy, you learn to cook, portions are generous, it is reasonably priced. Most importantly, you get what you paid for.

Downloaded Grubhub to check out the options as an alternative to UberEats. I attempted to use a promo for $10 off my first order, which would’ve made my order $21.52, however I received an error stating that I could only use it on my first order, so it didn’t apply. I was confused, as this WAS my first order, so I emptied my cart, and went to pick up food the old fashioned way. Upon checking my bank account, I was charged $21.52 for my non-order. The order was never processed, there’s no record in the app, however I was charged. I reached out to customer care to notify them of this issue, and received an auto-reply stating that they have received my email and would have my issue researched. Here I am almost a week later without hearing anything else from them. Seriously, give me back my money immediately.

This app always acts up when it is time to use a discount code outside of one that they email. If another app provides one or a company, I receive endless error messages and need to contact customer service for resolution.

I started using the app roughly 2 weeks ago and had no problems. Then about a couple days ago after an iOS 12 update the app will no longer function correctly. Hopefully it can be resolved soon.

I’m a teacher. I usually bring my lunch, but today decided to order from Grub Hub. They listed a restaurant in the wrong delivery area for my school and waited half an hour to cancel the order. This made it impossible for me to have lunch; we only have a short window to eat. They are hanging onto my money for a few days, though. I’ll be deleting this app as soon as my money is recovered. Now I understand why restaurant owners have told me they hate Grub Hub.

My order wasn’t made because the kitchen closed at 11pm and the app said 11:45pm so now I paid with no refund!!!

So first time using Grub hub, ordered food through yelp. Requested a later delivery time instead of ASAP thinking they would have plenty of time to deliver there On time. I requested for 630pm delivery. Got my food at 730. Contacted Grubhub to find out what was going on at 645. I intentionally requested my food to be delivered because I was at sports classes with my son, thinking this will be easier for me. Well I had to wait to chat with the tech, after some time they said they were trying to call the restaurant and no one was answering and thought they were closed. At this point I called the restaurant myself and got an answer right away. They said the food had been picked up. At 730 the driver comes driving extremely fast down a residential street and brings the food. I will never use these people again. It would have been much easier and less of a headache to pick it up myself. At least send a message saying the food will be late and give me an option of cancelling!

Disappointing, second time ordering from them the driver forgot an item it was a $20 or so order and I tipped 20%. I had to call GrubHub and after waiting a while they told me to wait for a call back with a resolution. They called and I admittedly missed it, however I called back and had to go through the process again. Eventually was told the driver would re deliver the order to my house, but asked that I meet them at the curb.

I was given a $250 gift card bcs I had a bad accident and am in a wheelchair. We used the card once for $80 for one meal. Today when I tried using it again for a $70 meal I am told I can’t, because I have used my card already. This is not right!!

i ordered soup from a place literally 4 blocks away because i have the flu and my order sat on noodles & company’s counter for over 2 hours because they never sent a driver. finally after being on hold for 5+ minutes a driver magically got sent the SECOND i got taken off hold. love having the flu and nothing to eat

Convenient on those day you can’t get away from the office or those nights you just don’t want to cook and don’t want to go anywhere.

My order was over an hour late twice, so I’m never using this again. The app doesn’t tell the drivers to pick up the food fast enough and glitches often. My food was cold after sitting there for over an hour, and when I asked for a refund, they refused to give it to me and I basically had to argue with the customer service rep to get any money back for my inedible order. Inconsistent delivery, bad customer service... use any other delivery service.

When Grubhub took over x delivery service company they did away with all incentives. So you earn nothing for loyalty nor do you ever receive discount codes for future orders. They need to improve this

ordered my food and didn’t hear a WORD for 2 HOURS called the restaurant and they said my food was ready but the driver never came. I called to get a refund and i can’t even get a CONFIRMATION NUMBERRR. She told me to wait “3-5 business days”. I’m highly upset and i will NEVVEERRRRR use this c***** app again. I should sue for false advertisement and emotional distress.

Door Dash has so many more restaurants to choose from but they also have too many hidden fees. Grubhub would be the best if they just added a few more restaurants.

The only reason I’m not giving the app a 5 is because some menus are hard to order from. IE combos you can’t mix and match, some soft drinks aren’t available. It should be more user friendly.

Where has this been all my life??? This app allows me to search and see ALL the restaurants that can be ordered from! This is a MUST have for travelers! Used this app while on vacation, all restaurants had menus with pictures and prices of food items, able to pay for meals,delivery cost,and Tip all at one time! I had the food delivered to my hotel lobby, this allowed me to try various local restaurants and cuisines! 5* is just not enough for how wonderful this app is!

I’ve ordered twice from this app and each of my orders were canceled . I’ve waited over 1 hour and 45 mins for food that never came . Then I call customer care only to receive someone who barley spoke English and lied and said the driver was on the way to pick up my food . Only for 20 more minutes to go but and they canceled my order for what and gives me a 5 dollars coupon. The first incident I didn’t even get my money back and this was either . I have diabetes and I have to freaking eat and you guys have wasted my time. If u want dependable people use Bite Squad , Postmates or Uber eats at least they keep their word on delivery and satisfaction. If I could give zero stars I would . Unbelievable !!!!!!!!

It is the first time that I use grabhub to order delivery. It was for a company event. The APP and website are easy to navigate but the delivery came almost 1.5 hours late. There was not much commutation other than automatic text messages providing faults ETA . The drinks should showed up at 12pm but it was not the case. I called up the drink place at 12:45pm to confirm and they said the drinks were ready but no one has picked them up yet. We end up sending out a coworker to get them. Little did we know the grabhub guy arrived at the store and grabbed the drinks few minutes before our coworker. It was not a great experience and lack of communication. I’ll be hesitant to use the App again.

You need more options in bowling green. Add chipotle!!!!

I placed my first order with Grubhub and the delivery driver scammed me. He said he delivered my order but didn’t and then wasn’t reachable when we tried to contact him. Grubhub refunded my full order and I placed it a second time and the sweetest delivery driver delivered my food promptly.

I have switched over to postmates after I ordered lunch to my work and it took 3 and a half hours to receive one arepa. Postmates gets it to me in 30 mins. 😑 when I called grubhub they said it wasn’t assigned to a driver. So my food was sitting cold at the restaurant and I was hangry by then and mad it took so long. Grubhub has progressively gotten worse. longer and longer waits and missing parts of the order so don’t do it to yourself if you’re in the raleigh area at least.

Door dash told me they can’t refund my money even tho I never got my food they said the driver tried to contact me but that isn’t true so download uber eats instead

I want to know if there’s a way to see if a driver is available,I did called the place and the Person said they have a driver coming because they didn’t have a driver at the time so pretty much I waited almost 3 hours for my food.

Worst App ever used. They do not have a control over their customer service and delivery. The restaurants and the Grubhub customer service doesn’t work in coordination. The app doesn’t have the data updated correctly. Everything is a mess.

I tip according to service. And I usually tip in cash to home deliveries. So I take great offense that I am required to put a tip on the order. I cannot place an order without including at least a 15% tip. I cannot place an order with a zero tip. Therefore I cannot tip the driver in cash. Nor can I tip the driver less than 15% if he s****** up my order or the food arrived cold. I am, in fact, tipping a driver before I even get my food. That’s not a tip. That is a service charge. That means I am paying for the drivers employment. Because GrubHub requires the tip.

It won’t let me give negative stars. Absolutely horrible customer service and absolutely horrible drivers. I tried using a.m. something other than BiteSquad, which failed. Miserably. They won’t refund my money as I sit on hold now for a half hour and counting.

Ordered from here many times, typically when Uber Eats delivery costs are extra high. Overall, I shouldn’t have continued to order from here after experiencing so many issues. Specifically, my last order was 2 hours late and I wasn’t able to contact the driver myself. I had to call customer service and they contacted the driver. I was told he would be there in 10 min (the gps map of his location showed he was on the other side of Seattle for an hour when the restaurant I ordered from was only 5 blocks away). He still didn’t get there for another 30 minutes. I was given a $10 promo code but it wasn’t worth the 3 hour wait. This is one of many times the delivery time was far past its estimation. I have also had orders cancel an hour after placing them for unknown reasons and I would be stuck having to order elsewhere with additional wait time. On a few instances they still charged me and I had to waste my time contacting customer service for a refund. Overall, there are more reliable apps out there.

I had a promo that gave me 10 bucks off. I had no clue what it was but it got me excited to order again tomorrow with the money I saved. Didn’t work with my payment method (debit card). I have used the app multiple times and Ive had only trouble. The restaurant will not take the order and grubhub will not communicate that with me. So Im waiting for an order that will never come. I have to call the restaurant and find out that they cancelled the order. This has happened atleast 2 times.

What I mean is, if it weren't for this app, I wouldn't be able to order half of the types of food I can get through Grubhub. I work on my own for 10 hours in a storefront and cannot leave, and places that will bring food to me are VERY limited. Thanks Grubhub!!!

The people apparently suppose to deliver my food never came. This is an extreme waste of money and a poor business management. I will never use Grubhub again.

After placing a delivery order & confirming the order the status changed into pickup mode. Bigger problem with that is there’s no way to change it in the app you have to call or chat with support. The first wait time was about 8 minutes. Support figured out the problem then changed it to delivery then asked for the delivery address. I opened up chat just to make sure it didn’t change again. The support said it was still in pick up mode so they called the store to tell them. I checked the app and the delivery was changed to the default home address and not the address I gave them. Fortunately support staff stuck with it to ensure it got to us.

I’ve ordered from several different restaurants in both the Bay Area and LA counties... they must hire the most incompetent people. Either I get the wrong food item or they deliver to the wrong address; without confirming the orders been delivered. I do get a refund, but I’d rather NOT have to use the app again... DoorDash is world’s better, or try Caviar.... EzCaterer for larger groups

I placed an order for Taco Bell because tbh I was too lazy to leave my house and get it. I didn’t expect it to be that great by the time I got it, but again, I didn’t really care. Would have been great to have gotten it at all, but nearly two hours after placing my order (which gave a wait time of 35-45 minutes and was never updated), I got a text saying my order was canceled, for no apparent reason. I had been put on hold prior to getting this text, so I didn’t bother waiting on the line to hear their excuse. My guess is that they didn’t have enough drivers, which is what my friend was told the first time we tried to order through this app from another restaurant. It makes me wonder how long food actually sits around at these restaurants before GH is able to find someone to pick it up... Never had this problem with Uber Eats so I’ll just stick to them and actually get my food!!!

I had three worst experience with grubhub. First off if you can’t see your past order history something is wrong. They marked my delivered as delivered by the driver but this was a lie it was not delivered. I then spent 2 hours on the phone trying to refund my order that never got delivered - they gave me a courtesy refund for their s**** up - courtesy - lol. They need to spend more money on service and not tv commercials. Go use another service you will be let down for sure!!!

Not only are the fees associated with the delivery too high, but the service is unreliable. I’ve ordered from Grubhub a number of times, and they’ve each had their problems. This past time (and the last time I’ll be ordering), I waited an hour and a half to have my order cancelled.

I love the GrubHub app! It’s so easy to use, much easier and clearer than trying to make an order by phone. And it’s great to see all the restaurants in my area in one place! And to have a good idea of how long the wait will be before I make my decision. Took a star off because once in a while the menus tend to lack descriptions/details. Are the potstickers veggie or pork? Can’t tell, so I just end up skipping them ...

Being blind I wish there was a lot more accessibility included in this application. It works though.

Ive used this app for years. I loved it, it never failed me. It was easy and seamless but it does not compare to uber eats or door dash. Recently I’ve had to cancel orders because they never arrive. This app has failed to catch up and I’m sorry but I’m deleting it.

The app would not let me use my points and Amex quick checkout. Had to use my paypal account instead which was very inconvenient since Amex gives points for using this app. Please fix this issue!

This is a long story, but I’ll make it short. I place an order, 30 minute ETA. 1 hour passes. I call support to ask what’s up. She says she’ll figure out what will happen for me and call me back. I agree. Restaurant I ordered from calls me, I answer. ‘Hello?’ I say, and they hang up. I call them back and say I placed an order about an hour ago from GrubHub. They tell me they made it about an hour ago and that nobody came to pick it up. I call GrubHub support. They tell me the restaurant was supposed to have drivers available, and they were not responsible for this problem. That it was the restaurant’s fault. I ask for compensation because I waited 1.5 hours for food that was never coming, and nobody made sure it was ever coming. They offer me nothing. I ask to talk to someone higher up. They tell me to hold. I wait 10 minutes and am asked to hold 5-10 minutes more. I say never mind, just email me. I’m still hungry. I call the restaurant. They inform me that GrubHub normally does the deliveries. The restaurant offers me the food for free. I ended up just driving there myself and picking up the food, which was the opposite of my intended outcome considering the nature of GrubHub’s business. Long story short, waited 2 hours and ended up picking up my own food as my first experience here. Spent ~20 minutes on the phone making back and forth calls between the parties to figure out what was happening myself. Grub hub never compensated me for this experience, only insisting it wasn’t their fault— that it was the restaurants (which it was not!) 1/5, would rate 0 if I could

I order from places on my block and everything I order is always hours late. So late that it’s gross when it gets here.

I literally tried to order my pizza with the same card 4 times, 3 times it claimed I was declined and the last time it went through and processed. All for it too charge me double time, so now I have to call my bank to get this reconciled.

I don’t live in a rural area- the area I live in is well populated and shouldn’t have a shortage of drivers. Nonetheless, every time that I order food for my fiancée while I am at work, it can take anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour longer than the estimated time. The restaurant we usually order from is right across the street! The drivers also often refuse to actually deliver your food, instead insisting that I come out of my building to retrieve it. If I was willing and able to leave the building for food, I would have driven across the street and paid way less! My advice- don’t tip on the app, tip in cash. When you pre-tip on a card you have no control over the service you receive.

So I have used Postmates usually. I actually like it. So I thought Grubhub is similar so give it a try. However GH has been the single worst use of this type of experience. Uber eats, Postmates, and even the local places apps all far outshine here. I don’t know what process there is to become a delivery driver. But I’ve basically had food stolen numerous times. The driver will wait 2+ hours to pick up food then just leave with it and go home. Oddly with the app running. So I can watch it real time as my fries are eaten by a faceless dot. If you don’t immediately contact grub hug after placing an order you often find the restaurant never sees it. So you get to wait that extra time too. I understand this is convenient. But if you’re going to have a system, it needs to work. I can’t be giving people food for free here. I also hate that I can’t tip the driver after. There is no incentive to do well - so just oh then better maybe? Or let me tip later. Idk great idea. And it works on other apps seamlessly. Here, it’s to much work. I’d rather not

Today I ordered from GruHub 2 times, first time was cancelled 2nd order the driver took our food and stole it, called them to make the complaint and called applesbees, unbelievable!

I used to get promo codes all time, almost every week sent to my email. I haven’t gotten one sent to me in months. ): I’ve been using DoorDash instead because delivery is free and saves me more money.

We ordered from a Chinese spot in new York while were working and vacationing. The order went through and the payment was processed, but when we called the restaurant they never got our order. We called Grubhub to get a resolution and they told us our money would be refunded in 24 hours. We were happy with that, but 2 days later we still had not gotten our money back. We called again and told us so many different things. They said we had to wait 48 hours, then 3 to 5 business days, so many different answers. We still do not have our money. They didn’t care about helping us, they just wanted to tell us whatever so we would get off of their phone. Bite Squad is awesome please use them instead. My experience there has always been excellent. Grub Hub really needs to stop taking money if they don’t care about customer service.

I would say every second time I order on Grub Hub I have a major issue. The app is really nice but the business is terrible. This latest time after an order never showed up I had to call 4 times to get the money returned. They told me they’d refund that night, but literally called again and they apologized, and said “now we will do it.” They kinda hoped I’d forget/get to busy. And this is just the latest saga. I hate Grub Hub. Stupid me for continuing to use them.

I placed an order for breakfast at 8:50 in the morning through Grubhub and I’ve used their app before this time was different. My food was never delivered to me and I called the Grubhub care team and the restaurant and they told me I couldn’t receive a refund because my food was prepared on time. IT WAS NEVER DELIVERED and Grubhub is a food delivery company. Don’t waste your money on them

I have no idea how this app / company gets decent ratings when on my first experience they took TWO HOURS to deliver my food!! They could have told me in advance and cancelled it so we could find dinner elsewhere but they literally waited from when I ordered at 8.30pm to 10.20pm for me to call a second time demanding to know where my food was?!!! Where on earth am I gonna find food now at 10.30pm?! The only thing they offered was to give me a 10USD code for my next order like WHY WOULD I EVER ORDER WITH THEM AGAIN after starving thanks to their bad service for hours on end?! They should have REFUNDED me for this as food 2 hours late is worse than cancelling in the first place. NEVER EVER ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY.

Missing one whole meal, customer service offered refund in 1-3 business day. But I can re order and have a promo code. Keep up the PHENOMENAL work.

The food preparation was soooo slow.

I have received no less than 10 emails about $10-$15 off delivery when signing up with the app. When I go to enter the promo, it says for first time users only. I have never used the app, and yet am told my account info is associated with another user? Irritating.

Food is always on time

We missed the phone call to pick up the order. We called back immediately and it went to the customer service. We explained it was showing delivered on the app but it was not. The customer service rep said he would speak with the driver. 10 minutes later he calls back and says the driver can’t come back?!?!?! What kind of employee just says no I can’t go back and they just accept it. Also instead of refunding us they have us two $25 promo codes that you can’t even use at the same time to pay for the meal we just payed for.

I’ve been getting blasted with promo emails, so I finally decided to use one. I thought I had an account already, so I tried resetting my password. It told me the email was sent, but I never got anything (found out later I didn’t have an account yet). Not sure I’ll use it much anyway, as the fees + tip ended up being about half the value of the food (before the promo code).

Was better before. Lately when I order it takes well over an hour and had to cancel an order before that was over an hour and a half and no food. Need to fix the ridiculous lateness

Made an order for the first time thru GrubHub to get food delivered for my lunch at work. 4 Whoppers with no pickles. Not a difficult order. Pickles with make me physically sick, and I have trouble eating anything pickles have been on (can’t just take pickles off). Got my food on my lunch break... 4 regular Whoppers. No time to get new food made, I didn’t have anything to eat the entire 10 hour work day. Literally the first and last time ordering through GrubHub.

Extremely easy when you are working at a job site to order food for the crew.

This service is the worst of all the delivery services. Your food will show up late, you are forced to tip for terrible service. No way to rate a driver. Will delete app and not use this service.

Riddle me this... Today I used Grubhub for the first and only time. I placed my order through their service like you normally would and proceeded to checkout. On the checkout menu a coupon for first time users popped up for 10 dollars off. I clicked the option and the payment processed with an error message. I checked my banking information to ensure all went through and sure enough the payment processed. I waited for a bit thinking my food was on its way and an hour later nothing showed up. Concerned I called their help line and the employee confirmed my account has been charged, however, their was an error so I would have to pay again. When I asked why they can’t apply the payment they have already received the employee told me that’s not how it works. So essentially they processed my payment, confirmed it went through, confirmed I wont be receiving what I payed for, and they have a hold on my money for 5 days. Back to my original comment ; so riddle me this why would anyone use this service when the service they provide is fraudulent and inferior to their competitors.

Our order was over an hour late, driver drove miles out of his to deliver, when it was finally delivered he handed us a bag and said check it because I more deliveries in my car and I don’t know if that’s yours. We opened bag and opened boxes, wasn’t our order. So he takes that order back to his car and grabs ours, missing our drinks. Didn’t make me feel real good that we touched someone else’s food and then he went to deliver it. Made me wonder where our food had been since he drove so far out of his way. When I tried to contact customer service, the 1800 number had a wait time of more than 15 minutes and when I finally got someone on the app thru chat he was very unhelpful. Said he wouldn’t refund anything but the drinks...when I mentioned that he brought someone else order in our house and then delivered it he said nothing and left the chat. Long story short, use another app!!!

The last 4 times I’ve ordered from grub hum, my food has been at least an hour late and the food has been soggy and cold. Never ordering again. RIDICULOUS. Order from elsewhere.

Their delivery drivers are the worse!

Grub Hub is a great app to use. It’s just that some of the stores who use grub hub have terrible service. Overall I love the app and I will continue to use it. Just make sure you read the reviews of the places you order from.

Foodler, who GrubHub purchased allowed you to invite other people to add items to your order, it would also track what everyone owed to the pot. Grubhub does not have this, but it’s otherwise okay.

This app is total garbage. I tried using it twice. Both times, the order was cancelled AN HOUR after making it... an hour. They even confirmed the order through email. When customer service called to tell me the order was cancelled (for no reason btw. The restaurant was open and there should’ve been no problem), I told them I’d be reviewing them a 1-star. He could care less. So ridiculous. Use Uber Eats or Door Dash instead.

My food was good, delivery accurate and the girl was sweet. The only downside is the ETA of my delivery kept changing. It was estimated 35 minutes, then 45, and it ended up taking an hour and a half to get my food.

I have never written a review before but I feel like I need to now. First off, how can you not have any way through the app to contact the driver if something is running late. Secondly if I have to call customer service I want them to do more than just say “im sorry for the wait your food probably isn’t done yet”. I called the restaurant to see if they were still making my order and they said it had been done for 15 minutes but no one had picked it up yet even though my order was accepted by someone 15 minutes earlier. Since I couldn’t contact the driver myself I had to call grubhub and it’s hard to explain your problem to someone who I can’t understand of them understand me. Needs more work.

I most likely won’t order from Grub Hub again. My first order, I ordered from Taco Bell. Was a half hour late. So I called. Waiting on the phone to speak with someone for 10 mins. Finally got to them. She called the driver. Driver wouldn’t answer. Driver didn’t answer. She said to re-submit my order and she will give me a promo code for money off and a different driver. I re did the order. Then I contacted Taco Bell to make sure they would make my food fresh. Tech Bell said that they have 6 orders waiting to be picked up by Grub Hub. But they would make my food fresh. The same thing happened the second time around. Called customer care again. It was the same driver. They said that the driver was 4 hours way in a whole different city and that she won’t be able to deliver my food tonight. Told me they would find another driver. I asked how long would it take, they said they don’t know, it’s just when ever a driver accepts the order. Canceled everything and hung up. Never ordering from Grub Hub again. Worst first experience.

Fast courteous service with a smile!

I honestly can’t remember the last time I managed to place an order that went through without an issue. The food is usually delayed/late, orders are often wrong, and most recently I was charged for an order that the restaurant never received so no food was delivered (I’m still trying to convince Grubhub to refund my money for that one.) To make matters worse, the customer service reps are entirely unhelpful and unresponsive. Needless to say, Grubhub has an enormous number of problems and I’m done giving them a chance to prove me wrong.

I saw grubhub’s coupon online so decided to give it a try. As I’m writing this review, the first order I made is already delayed by more than 40 minutes and still not delivered. The ETA it suggested is not reliable at all. Right now I’m still waiting and feeling starving. Very disappointed!!!

Literally have like 4 restaurants that will deliver to my address and I don’t live in the middle of nowhere. I miss foodler, this never happened before. They repeat the same restaurant over and over to make it look like there’s more but there isn’t.

This is my first time using this app and it offered me a $10 promo code for my first order of $15+. I tried to apply it but it said it only works with your first order. This *was* my first order! Idk what went wrong. I literally signed up right then and there and it had the coupon applied for me but didn’t work when I tried to finish checking out. I would like my $10 discount.

My husband and I have used Grubhub at least 7 times now. We have ordered from numerous restaurants. Occasionally we have asked for customized orders, and most items we asked for were straight-forward menu items. Every single time we have ordered, at least one or more items have been missing. Tonight, we ordered from Taco Bell and only received 2 of the 6 items we were owed. We immediately contacted Taco Bell and the woman who answered the phone happened to be the one who had bagged our food. She remembered placing everything in the bag, even listing every item solely off memory. She assured us that she had placed our correct order in the bag and handed it to the driver. We then contacted Grubhub, and they then contacted the driver. Our driver told Grubhub that he had handed us everything that he had been given at Taco Bell. Grubhub has always made sure to refund any missing items in a timely manner, but it’s frustrating that we have to receive a refund rather than receiving the food we ordered. We pay a fee for the convenience of having it delivered, then end up having to drive to the restaurant anyway just to get everything we originally ordered. Grubhub has good intentions, but the drivers are either careless or clueless, maybe both. There’s no way 4 items from our order mysteriously went missing between the restaurant and our house. I see this as Grubhub drivers getting an easy free meal—tell Grubhub you gave the customer everything you picked up, Grubhub reimburses the customer, and you as the driver get to eat fries, tacoes, a drink, etc. free of charge cause no one will ever know.

When an order doesn’t go through for whatever reason, you get charged multiple times. As soon as you click order it charges you, even if there is a problem- for example, my coupon code didn’t work with my payment method but it still charged me FIRST & then the screen came up which said I had to choose a new method. This has happened before for other reasons i.e a restaurant being closed at the time, etc. Then if you want to still put the order through, it charges again. Ridiculous- this needs to be fixed so I don’t need to wait days to have my money back on my card while the charges are still “pending”. Otherwise my food has always been on time or even early and great service every time but this issue needs to be fixed

I would not recommend using Grubhub if your hungry as I’ve now twice had them cancel my order after waiting over two hours, it’s ridiculous. Don’t waste your time on this!

Ordered 2 hrs ago with an estimated 35-45 min delivery time - called to see about cancelling at the 1 1/2 hour mark and was assured that the food was on the way - was promised a $10 coupon. The restaurant is less than 15 min away - currently on hold - if you can’t handle the order volume - take a lesson from OrderUp and don’t take orders you can’t fulfill - at least they are honest when an order is placed with them - wish I could give negative stars - forced to give a star to make the review stick- how sad

This is the best — period.

You need to be able to tip AFTER your food is delivered (the way Uber does). Not before. You don’t know how good or bad the service is until you receive it.

Are use these guys often… The drivers are friendly and professional. They always arrive on time. The food is always hot always hot.

With all of the other delivery apps out there, don’t waste your time and money ordering through GrubHub. In my experience their customer service was terrible. After a botched order we were promised a refund that never came. After multiple follow up attempts we were finally told the refund would arrive only to not get the full refund we were promised. I’ve never experienced any issues with other delivery apps and am kicking myself for giving GrubHub a chance.

The app is choppy, not easy to navigate sometimes.

I usually order McDonalds via UberEats and the food arrives in about 20min, preparation AND delivery. I was craving Burger King this evening so I gave GrubHub a go. Should’ve just stuck to McDonalds... The Burger King I ordered from was a five minute drive away from the McDonalds but the arrival time keeps being delayed. The drive should take 10min, why am I waiting more than an hour? The estimated time said 30-45min, which I thought was reasonable. It’s now telling me I have to wait another 30min? At this point, just shut this app down... All the five star reviews on here are fake and bought too, the service is terrible, the app interface itself is terrible. This is my first and last order with GrubHub. Switching back to Uber immediately.

I tried ordering something and it gave me an error 500 on their website, yet it was working earlier; Grubhub needs to fix this immediately. I was having a bad day before this which got worse when I wanted to order food but couldn’t.

The app works great. The service is terrible, with drivers who outright lie about slow and missed deliveries, and customer service that blames the customer instead of working to resolve the issues. I’ve only had ONE order that arrived as ordered in more than two years of trying. Do. Not. Bother. It’s a good idea poorly executed by this company.

Constantly crashes. Never connects to the server. I type in “burger” and it gets no results. I click on a restaurant in the list near me and it says it can’t find it. All the promos and deals you give are worthless when the app doesn’t work.

I've used this app a lot in the past and rarely had any trouble, but starting today I'm having an issue where any restaurant I choose gives me a "we can't seem to find this restaurant" error, making it pretty much impossible for me to order from ANYWHERE. Please fix ASAP!

I have a discount with Grubhub that why I thought give it a chance today. I order my bubble tea from ding tea and the estimated time is 35-45min. And have been waiting for an hour but the drinks is still in process. Does any store need almost an hour to make 3 drinks ? I would rather go bought it myself and not waiting an hour and more. Won’t ever use Grubhub again.

As a college student, I use meal-ordering apps more than I should, and I usually use GrubHub as a last option, for these reasons. Whenever I order food from GrubHub, it is always EXTREMELY late, or it never gets to me. Tonight I ordered Taco Bell at 1:10AM, knowing it closes at 2AM, I didn’t think it would be a problem. It tells me it’s going to arrive by 1:57AM, and I see the money has been taken out of my account. I go outside to wait for it at 1:50, and I don’t hear from my GrubHub driver until 2:25. He tells me that the Taco Bell “decided to close” and he couldn’t pick up my order, and that it was being cancelled. When I asked about it saying that it would be to me by 2:08AM, he told me again that it decided to close, and that it wasn’t his problem. This is the SECOND time this has happened to me, and it has been my 5th and last time ordering from GrubHub, unless something is drastically changed.

There have been several orders where the status says it is being prepared. A minute later the delivery driver is calling me. They should have a process where the status could sync with the restaurant and driver. I also found that Grubhub prices and delivery fees are more expensive than other services like UberEats and DoorDash. When you decide on a restaurant, check if their competitors app to compare.

Had an awful expedience with these guys. They delivered the wrong food order and then told me to reorder (and wait another hour) instead of trying to make things right by working with the restaurant to get my correct order to me ASAP. Giving me a refund for your mistake doesn't do me much good when I'm hungry - I don't want my money back, I want the food I ordered.

Not as bad as in the past but after waiting over 1.5 hrs for my order (app said it was “being prepared”) I finally got a notice that my order had been cancelled with no explanation. Deleting the app for the second time and won’t be using it again. Third strike and you’re out.

Does this app/company seriously expect to make money and compete with Ubereats running their business like this? The delivery fee is $8 even if the restaurant is literally 5 minutes away from your location ... compared to a $4.99-$6.99 delivery fee from Ubereats (which by the way the amount you pay for delivery w/Ubereats is determined by proximity). Then this app requires that you to tip BEFORE you receive your food and SERVICE.. Excuse the h*** out of me but when did tipping become something that is expected rather than EARNED. This literally gives the driver no incentive to provide great service ... at all. However, with Ubereats you tip after receiving the food and service. I’ve never had a problem with Ubereats arriving within the timeframe and if the driver is running a little behind they always call and keep me updated. They always deliver to my door, unless I’m at work because it’s difficult to do since I work at a hospital and people often get lost. I ALWAYS tip and have no problem with doing so but definitely have a problem with giving a tip before services are rendered and feel like I’m being forced to do so. If the company is reading this and wants to stay in business , please take notes from Ubereats and treat your paying customers better. I didn’t even have the chance to use the app because I was so turned off. I’ll stick with the better option for now... Ubereats.

75% of the time I order from Grubhub I regret it. This evening we’ve been waiting over an hour to get Taco Bell delivered. Yes, over and hour for Taco Bell that’s 5 minutes from our house. When I open the chat option for customer service it says there are Once we’re done using all the apology credits we’ve received I will be deleting the app. It’s too bad too because they have more options than Ubereats. It’s just not worth the frustration.

You know why you losing costumers because you don't pay the driver's so all the driver's work now for caviar and doordash ;)

Exceptional service that stands behind their service. 99% of my orders perfect. I have had a few orders that did not go smoothly and GH was the platinum standard in customer service.

I’ve never liked grub hub much but lately their practice of advertising a ‘deal’ and then telling you that you aren’t eligible at checkout has confirmed that they are dishonest and the only thing they are grubbing for is my money.

We are prisoners of the app .. their support did respond .. but could not fix the problem.. this is not a dynamic app set up to serve customers.. but u need to fit into their app model .. so app centric vs customers centric .. but they are good .. but can’t help u need to fit in .. good customer service but of no use to fix any issues

Grubhub canceled my order, and gave me a promo for my next meal as a way of saying sorry. But when I went to use the promo, it didn’t work. Pretty negative experience.

If I could give grub hub 0 stars I would, but minimum is 1 star. I feel like grub hub needs to have a better system, I ordered from Applebee’s and after waiting 1.5 hours I call Applebee’s and they tell me no one has picked up the order. I then call grub hub and they said no one was in the area to pick it up so they canceled it, which would’ve been fine if I knew that an hour and a half ago so I could have ordered from elsewhere, by the time grub hub got back to me everything was closed. And they only got back to me because I called. And they weren’t even apologetic, it was just like “your money will get refunded”. So I would say to just pick up your own food or you might be missing dinner or making a very late dinner because they didn’t follow through.

Ordered Taco Bell and it took over an hour to get here. Part of my order was missing. Ordered from Uber eats from another restaurant that is similar distance away took half the time very consistent as well as it was super easy to track my order. Grubhub couldn’t give me an accurate eta it kept changing every two seconds by 10 minutes.
