Love the new look that doesn’t detract from the orientation and functionality of my beloved 12-C

Update: Gave option to restore classic look. Thank you - a responsible developer. Original: It used to look and act just like an HP 12c. Now it doesnt. Please bring back what I paid for. This is absurd.

I’ve been using a “real” HP12C for close to 35 years and am very comfortable with it. This application is faithful to the original right down to the “running” status while the “calculator” searches for solutions. There are other calculators out there that calculate the time value of money but for those of us of certain age that began our careers with HP products, this is a comforting app to find. It’s a great value when compared to the HP version of the same thing. It’s my go to financial calculator for the iOS.

The new layout took a brief learning period but I've found I like it. I use this app or my 1983 HP12c multiple times nearly every day.

I am in business and Ican usually get along with simple math. But sometimes things get complicated. What I know beyond the basics I learned from the HP12C owners manual and the back of the unit. I highly recommend the 12C.

This app worked great on previous iPhone versions but I have trouble punching certain numbers on the iPhone 8 Plus.

I love my HP 12Cs—but I don’t always have one with me. Having this app on my phone is almost as good as a real 12C—but at a fraction of the price . Thanks for developing this app.

I replaced my HP12C years ago with this app. It is true to the soul of my old HP12C. I started using it in grad school for my MBA and never looked back. This app is the only way to go for the business needs I had. I retired now and still use it for all my calculations. I’m so glad they fixed the old look. I prefer that over the new look hands down.

I purchased the 12C when it was first available and I consider it the standard for financial calculations. The 12C app is a near perfect emulation and having the convenience of having it with me almost constantly is extremely helpful. I have used the app for over two years and it has performed flawlessly!

The pictures show an HP-12C look on the left, and that’s what I bought. A few months ago, I noticed that the look had been changed. Now it looks like the second picture shown in the App Store. I didn’t like it, but I figured so long as it worked I’d still be happy. But it doesn’t work. The keys have become “sticky,” and as a result you can’t just tap keys and keep moving as had been the case. I would like the old HP-12C look, but particularly I would like to see the calculator work correctly. I would have rated it a 5-star App prior to your change.

We need to be smart with our money. Learning to use this calculator, you will brush up (or, learn for the first time): the time value of money, opportunity cost, amortization and more. The Rule of 72 can get you close, but compound interest is too important to guess at. This nails it. Deciding of buy or rent a home, how much to save, when to retire, this is THE tool most popular (since the 1980’s) with people who get paid to give money advice. Nobody cares more than YOU about your money, so check their answers! Don’t worry about money, be confident.

The title says it all! I am quite pleased to have this functionality on my iPhone and iPad. I have the original hp device, but normally the Vicinno emulation is more convenient. My only complaint is as follows: the “key click” appears to be disabled on my iPad. Works fine on the mobile phone.

Learned to use reverse polish hp3c financial calculator in business grad school. Loved it. This is a clone and great to have on my phone.

I’ve had an HP12-C since they came out and it still works, but I don’t always have it with me so I need an app to emulate it on my iPad and iPhone as well. I’m so used to reverse Polish notation that other calculators are cumbersome. This app does the trick and it works very well.

I have been using a 12c for years and once you replace it, it costs well of $80 for a new one! This one is great.

Great 12c emulator. I have yet to find anything in my usage which is different from my handheld calculators. Recommended!

Don’t like the new format. Buttons aren’t as easy to press as old format.

But now I’m have some technical issues using it on my iphone xr . . . once ipen I cannot get out of the app like i do with any other app!! Other than that it’s a great app!

I’ve use an HP 15C since my first year of college. RPN is a hard habit to break. I had bought a 12C for B-school and that stoped working properly a year after it. This app always works as a good calculator should. Still have the original 15C still works like a charm, use it every week at least.

For those of us who learned financial calculations on the HP12C, finding an app that mirrors the 12C’s functions is fantastic! I used to carry my 12C into work. It’s so nice not to have to do that anymore and to have my 12C on my iPhone, wherever I go. The app works well, almost no lag time between punching in a key and response. I’m very pleased with it. Money well-spent!

Functions exactly like the hand-held HP 12C I’ve been using professionally for over 35 years. Very helpful to have access to the calculator anywhere I have my iPhone.

I like the way the calculator operates as it maintains the original RPN operation. The app has always looked exactly like the original HP12-c. However, the latest update to this app changed the overall appearance and I would much prefer to have the original HP12-c appearance as before. This is why I gave it a four star rating instead of five star. Please change it back.

Does everything I want a HP 12C to do. Company offers good support and updates. Pretty simple does what it’s suppose to do.

I use the calculator everyday and find it very easy and indispensable.

I paid something like $4.99 for this app several years ago. For the last month it has failed me completely, no matter rebooting my IPhone and/or rebooting the app. Apparently they want us to re-buy the $14.99 version is all I can figure. But I mistrust the new version because it could fail in the same ways since it looks to be similar and then I’ve wasted even more money. Very disgruntled about this.

I used the physical HP-12C for years and it is still around somewhere in my house. It was my goto machine. This emulator is a perfect soft version and has a bonus portrait version. I love the portrait mode.

Just like the real thing, just faster and more beautiful, and always with you (without the second device!). Buy it already.

The last two 12Cs I bought became unreliable within a few months. Maybe I was just unlucky, but that was troubling. An unreliable calculator is not just useless, it’s dangerous. I still have an original 12C I got 20 years ago — and there’s nothing like it, but I have rather lost faith in the new ones. I have used this app on my iPhone and iPad for about six months, and it appears to me to have worked perfectly. Plus you can’t beat the price!

I use this exclusively on my iPhone. As a senior banker I don’t even carry my 12c anymore. But need this on the Apple Watch now

This Vicinno calculator does an excellent job emulating the timeless HP-12C that financial professionals know and love. Its functionality is comprehensive, and the app seems to be better supported than HP’s emulator apps. If you want the HP-12C on your iPhone, this app is a good choice.

Just upgraded my phone and with that upgrade, it does not rotate to vertical view/calculator, and does not use full screen on iPhone X in horizontal mode. Also, I note that others have had issues of screen freeze. I had that issue before the upgrade, but lived with having to occasionally force quit. With these new issues I need to look elsewhere.

No stars!! I hate the classic HP format!! No instructions on how to get auto rotate to function!! Wasted a half hour on this!! How do I get a refund???

The calculator has worked well for years, but has just started freezing on my iPhone X. Have to reboot the phone to exit. Please fix.

Works just like the HP 12 C. However, unlike the newer, lower quality workmanship of the HP 12 C, the buttons on this app never skip a beat. (my first HP 12 C I purchased in 1990. It listed for 17 years. The new were HP 12 C calculators have c***** keys that don’t always respond to the touch.)

I love this virtual recreation of my old HP-12c from biz school at UCLA. "Reverse polish notation" rules and this app on my phone lets me wow my financial planning clients anytime/anywhere. Highly recommended.

I tried several times to store data in one of the memory locations on the calculator, a function I need in order to use the calculator for a class I’m taking and it doesn’t work. I contacted support and I’ve yet to hear back from anyone! I’m in the midst of a class and I need the calculator. I can buy the HP version (now I wish I would’ve) but these people need to either fix the problem or refund my money. AND BY ALL MEANS, RESPOND TO YOUR CLIENT’S EMAILS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am completely unable to be “conversant in calculator” unless it’s an HP-12C or other like HP model w/the reverse Polish notation deal.. you know.. 1 Enter 2+ to get 3, because I used it in school and then later in finance jobs.. and I’m hopeless without it. This app duplicates EXACTLY all of the familiar functions AND looks exactly like my HP-12C which I usually don’t want to have stuffing up my purse or even suitcase. So! I ADORE this app! It’s perfect! And of course, it’s in my phone ready to roll, even if I only need to add say 5 numbers! Easy peasy! But I can also do %change questions in a sharp. I love it! 5 stars+!!

The new version isn’t practical....the number and function keys are not responsive to touch.

I love this app and use it many times a day. Since upgrading to the X, while in the app the screen locks and doesn’t allow access back to the home screen. Please fix! It’s an awesome app.

Prior to the changes of the hp app, my calculator was working just fine. Ever since the change, I have a difficult time with the bottom buttons. I have to press them very hard in order for them to register. I use this for work and it is annoying when I have a customer on the phone that I am trying to get them figures. I wish I could get the old format back. I had no issues with the calculator before.

If you don’t like this app you didn’t have an HP12c. For me both are fantastic.

had this app for several years and it always worked very well Now when I use it it freezes my phone and I cannot get out of app I must restart my phone I have deleted it from my phone and to want to know if there is a glitch or is HP blocking the use

Maybe I’m a purist. But I don’t like the new look. Calculator works perfectly but like the original look of my actual calculator. 5 stars if it had kept the original look.

I usually do not write reviews but the latest upgrade practically made this calculator useless. It is very slow and almost non-responsive to number entry. If I can give it minus stars, I would give it minus a million. Save your money and stay away!

The old format was great. I have used a hp12c for almost 40 years. This app i loved was the best ...then they changed the format and imputes Respond poorly. Actually not happy at all...going back to the real thing now for most part!

The landscape mode does not take advantage of the XS Max.

I’ve GOT to use basically the HP 12-C calculator format. I used it in grad school and later in banking and bond rating careers. It’s bad to say but if it’s not “1” Enter “2”, I can’t get to three on a calculator anymore. They used to call it reverse Polish? polish? Notation.. no matter.. I need it. I have a real HP 12-C at home but I’m not always at home or with a carry-all bag and this exact replica of the keyboard complete with the same functions.. including the % change key with the delta sign.. my fave.. well, I just love having it with me in my phone. I’m doing a lot with photography now and it’s incredible helpful to have this very machine with me at all times. Love the “STO” functions (store) and then STO 1/Enter, “REC” (recall)2..(-minus) which gives you, without an equal sign (=), day your gross profit # on a run. So easy peasy. Love it..& you can store it without setting up a whole sheet. It’s great for personal numbers. LOVE IT!Many thx!

Please don’t download if you have an iPhone X. This version does not work with it. Once you are in the app you will not be able to go back to home without restarting your phone.

As a Realtor I have used the physical HP-12c for 30+ years. It has been like an extension of my arm. Don't know how to function without it. To have it as this App that works flawlessly on my iPhone and iPad is wonderful. One less tool to carry. Thank you!!

Doesn’t work on iPhone Xr. Calculator locates on side of screen so you can’t access all the buttons

This app provides me with the ability to have the calculator that I used throughout my engineering career at my side for the rest of my life.

This app equals a 12 c in my hands. All the functionality of the real thing with less to carry. It is great!

Stop working after about a week. Sent email to developer last week. Still no response. They fixed the app. Never contacted me directly. I am pleased with the app now. Don’t have to take my HP 12c out of the office now

New version seems to be slow and have to make sure it registers the numbers. Sometimes I have to hit a number multiple times...very frustrating and wish it still looked like the actual calculator

The original 12-C look as an option is now back, buried with the settings menu. It’s not quite the same as the old Vicinno app, so 4 stars not 5, but it’s close. The black-on-black design is gone and good riddance to a flawed aesthetic. Unfortunately it took weeks to get get back to where it was.

For financial calculations the app works great. I hardly use my HP anymore as the phone app is just as good.

When the Classic look disappeared I was upset. The new look at first was too dim. They fixed it quickly and told me the Classic would be back soon. Now that the Classic look is back, I am having a hard time choosing between the two. I have a real HP-12C, so the Classic look, for me, is visually consistent.

I’ve used HP financial calculators my entire career. I’m so used to the RPN that an “=“ on a calculator gets in the way. Having the app on my iPhone makes carrying a calculator unnecessary. I just wish the iPhone’s battery could last as long as the actual calculator! By the way, I found customer service to be very responsive. This is a “must have” app.

This is the best RPN (reverse Polish notation) calculator I’ve found in the App Store. If you don’t know what RPN is, please do some research before getting this calculator. RPN is a more efficient input method than a traditional algebraic calculator but takes some time to learn. This app functions much like the HP12c. I use an HP12c daily in my job in finance, but it’s nice to have the app handy when I’m somewhere without the physical calculator. Great app!

For those of us raised and dependent on the HP12C, this has been a great addition until the update. In fact, my actual 12C hasn’t come out of my briefcase since I got the app years ago. This is just too easy. Unfortunately they just “upgraded” it to a new look. Keys are the same, but the background is completely different. I contacted them to see how to bring it back and was told they are working on having the classic view as an option. Ordered new batteries for the old 12C in the meantime... Update: The old familiar look is back as they promised. Thanks. I have been using this app for years, and it works just as well as the real thing.

Used to work exactly like an hp 12c with identical Format. However they changed the format so it’s only portrait. Also the manual is not available except with an inline link. But when it worked it worked exactly like a 12C.

Just updated today (10-11-18) and the keys look terrible. Makes the app unusable for me. It’s been 5 stars up until today. 11-8-18: Thank you for listening to users and returning the classic look!

Update, 11/2018: Several items are now implemented, others not. Also wish there was a switch to toggle back to old HP calculator appearance. Upgrading from 2 to 3 stars. ——————— Update 5/2013: None of the items in previous post below have been addressed... In addition, it would be nice to have a way to copy figures into clipboard memory to allow pasting into other apps and vice versa. (Copy implemented, paste into calculator is not.) I'm still hoping. ——————— Initial, 5/2012: I would like to see the text on the keys light up when the corresponding yellow or blue function keys are pressed. Wish the orientation were 180deg rotated when on an iPad (it's upside down if one uses a rolled smart cover. (11/2018 now implemented.) Buttons could stand to be enlarged a bit too. When in a Mac app widget coming?

This used to be perfect. But something has changed where I have to hit the zero key multiple times to make it enter. Same is usually true with the STO and RCL keys. If this changes back to the way it was, it is perfect. If not it’s really too frustrating to use.

I’ve used this since it originally came out. Exactly as expected (if you used the original). Asked for the old look back, but now am getting to like the new look.

After decades of carrying my HP12c around, I’m done. This app meets my needs and I’ve got one less gadget to tote.

I dislike the updated version of this so much! Have used it for many years and no longer want to use it.

Please go back to the previous version or let us know why you had to change to this??? I don’t like it. I hate software updates just for the sake of change as an engineer. If it works it works and a calculator should only be a calculator that works as intended. Changes often result in other problems and then another update and then more problems etc etc etc. Was this done in a effort to make more money somehow? Thanks for the retro update of the hp calculator. Not exactly like before but it works much better than previous version. Don’t change what works please and thank you.

Great emulation of the classic HP 12C!

I have used an HP12C most of my professional career even worn the numbers off the keys. This emulator is faster and more convenient on my iPhone. I purchased an older version that apparently updated and the new interface looks and works great. Thank you!

HP logic takes getting used to and this app follows that logic perfectly. As an HP nerd, I love it.

As a 35+ year user of an HP 12C I am extremely grateful to have that familiar look back! I appreciate how quickly you responded to the feedback. LOVE this app!

I’ve been using the 12C since my college days in the 80’s, and it has been a great tool. This app is reliable and has been one of my top ‘go to’ apps for several years. I like the vintage look - thanks for bringing it back.... old habits die hard.

I’ve used the HP 12C for decades. This is almost identical. Love it.

They made significant changes making the buttons harder to press and looking completely different. I would not have purchased this app if it looked like this current version. I find myself using the Apple Calculator instead of this for simple calcs. The RPN throws me off making me hate this app even more.

I’m a real estate broker this is my go to.

I much prefer the old design to this new one. Previously, the design was exactly the same as the HP12C calculator.

The landscape mode does not advantage of the XS Max. Portrait mode should have buttons in more manageable configuration. For example, the Enter should be bottom right.

This is an excellent calculator app, with the look of the old 12C restored. The 12C look is not only pleasingly retro, it is also simply much clearer for seeing the buttons etc. It uses reverse polish number entry, which is easier for chains of calculations when you’re used to it.

This is close enough to a 12C for mortgage calculations but the zeros don’t register all the time which makes it very frustrating. I would give it a 5 if that were not the case.

Was great until changing to black with no key contrast. Now hard to use. Please change back. I used it all the time!! Now will buy the HP 12 C.

Have used the HP 12C for years. This modernizes access, and puts the most logical calculator in the place where I can use it most—my iPad.

I have had this app for many years but it has not been updated for the new iPhone X. The calculator is no longer the full size of the screen for the iPhone X and the screen freezes.

App need update. Works fine in iPhone 7. It’s actually great. However app freezes with my new I phone X can’ t exit app and need to restart iPhone X to dismiss app. Please fix

Had no problems with this fine app until getting an iPhone X with iOS 11 - the app works but it freezes the operating system so the user can’t exit the app.

You may don’t understand but the only reason that I bought this calculator was the HP 12C design. More over when you have a Finance background where the 12C was part of our lives. One of the thing that upset me is these developers writing me for more than a month telling me that an update is coming where the 12C would be an option to change. Two updates have come, and that option is not there. If that option would not be included, be honest and say it.

The App is now sticking!!! And then we can’t continue with Calculating. The New Update of iOS 9 now has 1/2 the keyboard missing when your phone is turned a certain way. Please fix this developers and send me an update to update this review please. I love this App Otherwise it is an Accountants dream. And it sure beats having to carry out HP12C everywhere with our phone.

I bought this because it looked like an hp12c they did change the look but works just as good.

I was hesitant to buy this app fearing it would be a compromise. It is fabulous on my iPhone X and just seems to always work. I get answers faster than with my 12c and it is more convenient to have a single device. The interface is now perfect and will take less than 15 seconds to learn.

How can a great app turn into such a disappointment after the latest update. The design is horrible. To the developers’ credit, they corrected a problem that caused it not to function

I am used to the HP 12C presentation that existed before its last update, I do not understand why they changed this format. I am very upset with this change.

I have your calculator on both my iPhone as well as my iPad. I used to buy(for $89) the hp12c handheld calculator. No need to anymore. Your program is soooo much less expensive & I always have my phone with me. Keep updating. The 1st 4 days of the latest update the calculator wouldn’t work on my Iphone, just my ipad. Thanks for correcting that so quickly. I use it for finance, mortgages, and lease payments. Yes I was able to write the program to do leases. if anyone needs the leasing program let me know.

Great redesign. Much better and cleaner layout. Love the instant flip from horizontal to vertical. Can do multitasking on phone much easier. 👍👍👍

New design looks like crap! Please change it back. Weeks have past and no change. Where is the update??

Please bring back the authentic HP12C look. The new interface is awful. The keys all blend into each other and it’s very difficult to use. I used to love your app, but this new design makes it awful. Will need to look for an alternative if you don’t fix it soon.

I miss the actual HP12C version. By definition a Classic is not meant for redesign. Every third key I touch doesn’t register. There are decimals where commas should be and vice verse. I just want to go back to the last version which you guys nailed perfectly!!!!

Very unhappy with the new UI. I liked this app because it emulated 12C. I know you say the old UI is coming back. Will update my review when it does. Where is the promised old UI??

This app does everything just like the HP 12C in my office. But for a very small price I can use it on my phone. Yes, I preferred the original interface, but can understand why they had to change it. It doesn’t make much difference because all the keys are in the same place if you use the landscape view. I’ve started using the portrait view instead and actually like it better. If you’re an HP 12C fan, you will be very happy with this app.

My hp is on my desk & this is on my phone. Besides, I never did much care for equal signs. One small thing, no button outlines on the most recent update.

The entire reason for using the app was the familiar layout. The new layout adds nothing but takes away a lot.

I concur with the other users that the new appearance is a change for the worse. Visuals do make a difference in finding the right keys and even in hitting them correctly. Pls Bring back the old style, or at least allow the option Second: unfortunately I can’t confirm this because I can’t find my old physical 12c to test, but the annuity/roi calculation for non-integer years looks incorrect. Consider Pv=-1000, pmt=150, fv=250. For n= 10, i returns 10.37889, when n=11, i returns 11.209213, but for n=10.5 returns 9.41321. Doesn’t make sense since the result should be between 10.37889 and 11.209213. I confirmed the two integer n values using excel rate() function, but excel returns 10.81886 when n is 10.5, which is more sensible than your app .Several years ago I confirmed that physical hp 12 c, formula in 12 c manual, and excel all give the same answer for fractional n, but your current app doesn’t match. Sorry I can’t test further right now but this info should give you enough to get started. Revision: I’ve since researched the second “bug” issue and discovered that (a) the app does indeed replicate the physical 12-c calculation, and (b) there is some disagreement within the financial community on the proper way to handle fractional n, with both sides having plausible logic for their formulas. So even though I disagree with the answer given by your app, it apparently replicates the 12-c, so I have to withdraw my description that it is a bug. Overall, this has been a very handy app which I’ve used for years, and I’m looking forward to having the classic gold interface reinstated. Thanks!

Vicinno may be listening to the chorus of moans regarding the new design, but their promise to bring back the original look as an option is still unfulfilled. The new design is virtually unusable to me, in the fairly normal lighting conditions I’m in the keys are harder to see. About to give up and sorry that I recommended this app to many others.

It's not very readable with the change from the HP12C look we're all used to. I can't understand why you would change such a great thing 😕 Change it back! YOU WRECKED THIS APP! IM SORRY BUT AFTER ALL THESE YEARS I'M ABOUT TO DELETE IT. YOU CAN'T READ IT FAST ENOUGH. IT'S A CLUTTERED MESS. CHANGE IT BACK PLEASE.

Fine calc but old design preferred

New version has “keys” that “stick”. Bring back old version.

I loved the original 12c and have used it for a number of years. With the latest update, removed the look and feel of what I originally purchased, and even worse, they keypad numbers don’t even work. You have to press very hard (on some) numbers, and the decimal point doesn’t work.

Not a fan of the new look. Does not mimic the old look of the HP 12c, and the interface is slow and clunky. Would like to revert to old look.

Alas, one day I opened up my iPhone and found my old hp12c calculator had been replaced by this new app. It is laid out the same, but when you tap on numbers, I.e. 1000000. It is slow to respond. Subsequent taps as rapidly as you would normally type as ignored. You have very slowly enter numbers. Please fix. Otherwise, it looks and operates as the old hp 12c.

When I tap on the keys it takes between 1 and 8 taps to get a number to enter, always random, any ideas on how to fix that? Also, as some others have mentioned, I would like the 12c look again instead of what you changed it to.

The "0" and "." keys do not work. Touching them does not enter anything on the calculator.

Great app w developer that cares about user experience

If you’re looking for or useful functional financial calculator with all the features of the traditional HP 12 C this is the calculator to invest in. I’ve been using a 12 C for decades from Hewlett-Packard. The original handheld calculator’s were high-quality superior products with innovative functions and quality workmanship. The latest versions are not likely to last very long physically and the workmanship and quality have become profoundly sad. I now want one device that works on my iPhone and iPad that I use throughout the day. The HP products are not supported with updates with the changing operating systems from Apple. They have annoying key clicks that you can’t silence without turning off all the sound on the iproducts, how pathetic is that. This is the calculator to buy! It’s supported with the latest operating system, there are no annoying key clicks you can’t turn-off, and the full functionality of the calculator is available no matter which way you turn your device to use it. The only complaint I have is the delay when you open the product because the developer runs an ad... but I am more than satisfied with the functionality of the product. Recommend you give it a try before wasting money on HP products that are no longer professionally supported.

Stop working after about a week. Sent email to developer last week. Still no response

This calculator is great. It's like taking my 12c with me all the time. Suddenly I see this new icon on my phone and see this lunatic, modern version were you can barely figure out where the buttons are and everything seems moved around. You had a the perfect app and you killed it. Bring back the original look! UPDATE... Thrilled to hear that your bringing back the original design! Put back the five stars on my review!

Does nor auto rotate anymore. Does not look like 12c anymore. The hp12c look was one of my reasons for buying.

Ok. After a week, the app works. But I agree with the other comments. It’s a poor UI design. Did they do any market research to ask if anyone want to change? Was this in response to HP making claims on design? Bring back the old version, it just worked.

What a h*** is this new design. I’ve payed for this App just for HP 12c design, but now it’s just like a child app. I hope it’s fixed soon.

This is an update on my review. The developer responded very quickly to my issue. I sent them the analytics. They were able to correct the problem and issue an update within 24 hours. Pretty impressive. I still would like the original look of the HP 12C which they claim will be out in a couple days. This was my original review. This worked great before the update. Now I can’t even open it. I have the latest version IOS 12. Why change the look? It is suppose to l be the HP12C.

I’ve just figured out what happened to my 12c app, which I’ve used and loved for years. With the last upgrade the icon design changed and I thought it had been replaced by something else. (I also see that HP has its own calculator app in the store, and I assume they own the design.) So, are the buttons on the new version where they are supposed to be? Yes. Do they still do what the are supposed to do? Yes. Can I get used to the new design and font? Yes, of course. Glad to have it back.

The newest version with a new look and icon is not good. Bring back the old ! It worked flawlessly for years.

This “improvement” damaged both the look and usability of what was perfectly good app. I’ve gone back to my “physical” HP-12C. Glad I kept it.

I have used this app everyday for years, new update Will Not Open!!!!!! Had to delete app and reinstall to get to work, new color layout very hard to see? Don’t understand why change?

Well you fixed the crash problem and for that another star. However, this new interface is NOT what I paid for. I can live with the different skin, but far prefer the old HP12 skin as I have had an HP12 on my desk and have been using for the past 10 years. I use this on the road. Now the new problem is, "It's Not Full Screen!" Please fix, and better yet, go back to the old. Sometimes change is not good.

The redesign is dark and difficult to see all the functions, and use. It looks like a fluorescent jellyfish. I am not looking for cute or avant-garde. I am looking for functionality and professionalism. I am embarrassed to let others see it.

I changed my mind. I complained, they reached out to me—within 1 week. I sent them the crashing info they sought, and they fixed it within 24 hours. Impressive. Good app. Get it.

I won't be using this. Bring back the original. Did you lose the original code? Why would it take a few days to bring it back if you had it right for years? Is his a millennial joke at improvement? Did (I hope so) heads roll? People fired?? I paid money for this years ago can you spell “class action lawsuit”?? I give negative stars -************!

I bought this app years ago because of the product and how it worked, and I loved the calculator. This updated version won’t even open up for me. I tap the icon and it takes me back to my phone home page. Can’t even utilize it now. This needs to get fixed!!!

For those of us raised and dependent on the HP12C, this has been a great addition until the update. In fact, my actual 12C hasn’t come out of my briefcase since I got the app years ago. This is just too easy. Unfortunately they just “upgraded” it to a new look. Keys are the same, but the background is completely different. I contacted them to see how to bring it back and was told they are working on having the classic view as an option. Ordered new batteries for the old 12C in the meantime...

This has been a great app. My sole purpose was to have a virtual 12c. Now you messed up the classic design and darkened it way down. Please revert!

This calculator was perfect... I used for years without a glitch. Today the developer changed completely the interface into some u*** disgusting piece of garbage. I want my old calculator back.... this developer is not honest and will sell you a Mercedes Benz and give you a Volkswagen

This app does not work on iPhone X! Please fix.

I am happy with their calculator - it is a perfect replica of the HP Financial Calculator. However my disappointment is in the fact that I had to purchase this twice since my previously purchased version from 2014 would not update. From my conversation with Apple, Vicinno didn’t apply the update to the previous version meaning that the old version became worthless in IOS 11. I reached out to Vicinno but never received any reply. This is a nasty way to treat customers that buy your products that pays your salaries.

Used this until I found “Financial Calculator” for 99 cents. Literally 20 times faster and makes better use of screen real estate. Sure it does have that nostalgic feel, but all the same buttons as an hp12c.

This financial calculator is an absolute must if you’re in any kind of business involving borrowing or lending money. Also, if you’re working in real estate development or leasing of anything you just have to have it. It’s a great replacement for my old HP that I carried for many years. Now it’s on my phone!

Doesnt recognize swipe - only way to exit the app once launched is to reboot phone.

You can’t close this app on iPhone X!!! You must reboot your phone to get the app off the screen! Very annoying!!

This app worked exactly like my physical 12c and was great. It stopped working when I moved to I Phone X with IOS 11.
