Easy to use, lots of options, meaningful reports. Perfect for exploring alternate retirement plans.

I have been spending years refining my financial/event planning model in Excel. I wanted 2 things: verify that my model is accurate and a better/quicker visual way to do what-ifs. I entered all my assumptions into the App. The Graph showing when my money would run out matched my spreadsheet to the year! My spreadsheet is much more detailed on tax calculations, so I basically had to guess a effective tax for both Fed and State and entered that. Features that would be nice: -Store results on DropBox such that the different devices can access the scenarios -Separate Fed and State Tax input -A program for the mac…I’d pay up to 40.00 if it was bug free. -I think of events as objects that I would like to cut and paste. My current method is to list all kinds of events on yellow sticky notes. Then for a "what-if” scenario, I set them along a timeline. Then I enter that into the App. If the App could have that kind of concept, that would be cool. I was annoyed about the limit of 3 what-if scenarios, but I got over it.

This app is terrific: very easy to understand, manipulate and digest results. It lets me run alternative scenarios based on changing parameters that my spouse and I are considering pre-retirement (income, expenses, investments, returns, etc.), which is both unique and valuable. Plus, it's fun to use!

Greg41, no idea what you are talking about. Never pinged for more $$. This app by far most flexible and SMART retirement planner available. So many scenarios with instant feedback. The email feature is awesome. Easy to understand. Flexibility in scenarios like change retirement income after X years or same with rate of return. Easy to show spouse with supporting graphs, charts and tables. THANK YOU!!

Still need an iPhone version. Would work great on iPhone 6S Plus in landscape orientation.

Of all of the retirement apps I find this one asking more specific questions and goals based on your lifestyle, income and spending habits. I also like the chart that shows where your savings will be based on your input of longevity after retirement

I have been using this for multiple versions....great, simple yet effective app. Author continues to be responsive to ideas. Here's a question and idea: What is the net retirement spending row in the details section? Can you also list the total income in future dollars and today's dollars? Can you also define the sequence of which source of money is used...eg taxable first, then Roth/tax free next, etc?

I'm near retirement and trying to get my head around when to start drawing Social Security and in general trying to figure out how long will my money last. This tool really helped me understand the impacts of delaying Social Security and figuring how much I can draw down from savings. Great for comparing different assumption sets. I haven't looked at a lot of other retirement apps but this one does everything I needed. Wish I had it when I was 40.

Simple to use, but detailed enough to quickly run many different scenarios. The input information seems to ask just the right questions. It's eye opening the calculation of how much today's dollar will cost in 30 years. Most of us can't predict the markets, but this program helps explain how well the market needs to do to afford to retire. Very highly recommended!
