UI is laid out well. Easy flow to input transactions

I’d had the free app for years, with a few total data losses, but always kept it. I didn’t want automated entry like in Mint (I figure I’m more conscious of spending if I have to enter it.) After a recent upgrade finally got my balances to match, I upgraded to the paid app. After changing to a new phone, my data was lost AGAIN! Get your s#!t together. I’ve used the last few years of data to budget and now it’s all gone!

Update: having trouble syncing to a new device. Takes forever, times out, and then no expenses are on the new device. I sent a help email too, but this is really annoying. I started using this app almost 2 years ago. I didn’t really know where I was spending my money. With the knowledge I had I was able to understand the possibilities of what I could and couldn’t buy and where I could cut. With this info I could clearly talk to my accountant and my bank and I saw that I was able to buy an apartment... in Paris. I’m still using this app after knowing. After buying. After renovation. I still want to know. And when I travel it is fun to see my savings. When I travel with friends they can clearly pay me back what they owe and I can pay them. It’s a great monitor. But I’m switching to another app because I couldn’t transfer everything to my new phone. Very disappointing. This was my best friend. Now we have to break up.

I’m very disappointed in this app; I’ve relied on it the past years & just recently cannot access of my expense. I’ve been a premium customer all this time & will unfortunately discontinue using this moving forward!

Before the update I was able to sync across my iPhone and iPad I paid for this program and now I can’t sync across my other device I bought before their expense and they stop their support to higher iOS making their app unusable. This will be the last I’ll purchase you software.

I like having the ability to organize with categories and subcategories. I also like that I can type in the payees instead of having to use location services.

I love this app. It helps me stay on top of my spending and the ability to look at spending categories is convenient. Definitely easier than managing/teaching an app that automatically links to your bank accounts what your financial life is like. Some suggestions: Please app split screen support for iPad. Its silly i can’t use this app side by side with a calculator Please add full resolution support for iPad Pro 12.9. Most importantly, PLEASE add the ability to search by categories. I want to be able to search a particular category (lets say “coffee”) and see all the transactions for it in one place without having to scroll through all of them.

This is a very good app if you are looking for help keeping a checkbook register on your phone. I would like to see an option to create recurring transactions for both expenses & income that would be entered in the account & an upcoming list so you can decide when to enter the transaction. Right now the recurring transactions are just for expenses and only show on the calendar (which I don't use). Credit card accounts do not show a available credit. No option to differentiate between credit card or bank account.

Still has a lot of core functionality/User experience issues. For example, items from the budget itemize list doesn’t update when swiping from week to week. I see the same items. I like the app, but very buggy. One of the main reasons i haven’t gone premium. Causing me to shop for other options.

I have been using it for several years. I love it when it doesn’t act up which it does sometimes but usually it works great. Simple and easy tracking & logging.

Note that the free version now features obnoxious whole screen adds. I’ve been a user since version 2 or so and it worked well for me ... however the latest interface revamp has me looking at (though not yet for) alternatives ... the new entry screens are ... less than intuitive to me and some of the things I actually liked (and didn’t even really notice) are now gone ...

Sync just stopped working and I am stack with this application now without backup. Since then every update is “minor bug fix”. What about major ones? Anyway, reached out to support and since haven’t received a single reply from them. Not even acknowledgment of request and It feels like I am stuck in rabbit hole now. If I remove app it I will lose data and If I don’t and if phone crashes I will stay without all my months of transactions. And yeah, I am premium user.

I used to use an excel spread sheet to keep a running total. This is much better and mobile! So much better without the ads also.

Could be a great app with some small tweaks. For example adding the option to edit daily recurring transactions like every 20 days.

Like the simplicity on design and use. Would be nice to have a way to view YTD spend on the Budget screen. Also would like to be able to view total spend by Payee.

It glitched 2 years ago and i almost lost all my data. But luckily it was backed up Anyway, i been using this for over 5 years and i have no complaints. It does what i need. I like how its not like the automatic ones that connect to your bank account...

I love this app! It keeps me accountable for my expenses . I know when my bills are due and my app reminds me when those bills will be taken out .

After uploading the update it will not allow me to open up the actual budget categories . It goes back to the home screen every time I try.Also just tried to go into every category on left of the main screen and they all go back to the home screen.

Terrible convoluted redesign. Lost all data 3 times now and have been using for 3 years. Sync function has never worked properly. As soon as you get a new iPhone you have problems and lose data. Worse with every update design and UX wise.

Self employed and this helps me track all my money and makes it easy see everything weekly/monthly and yearly. Strongly recommend!

I had another basic tracker before this and while the layout did take some getting used to, it was totally worth it! This even has a category for pets and gifts, which are areas some trackers don't separate out. I love that I can create my own categories too!!

I have no complaints. I can enter the items I need and keep a running balance so I can track my monthly expenses.

This latest update keeps the ads to a minimum, which I greatly appreciate. I’ve been using PE for a few years, and I recommend it to all my friends and co-workers. It’s easy & fast, and helps me keep my budget on track. You won’t regret it.

This was the first budgeting app I downloaded, I tried others and eventually came back to it. The updates are great, is easy to navigate and just detailed enough.

Completo sencillo e intuitivo

4 stars for ease of use, functionality, and reports. However, I have to watch an ad every time I close it for half a second to see another app or even double tap the home button just to peak at another app, without even closing this one! Really, really annoying.

Annoying Advertisements

I've loved this app for years but the latest update makes me want to ditch and delete. Held off updating this because the last time I did I lost everything - and they still haven't found how to update and app and keep your data! When this app works it's very useful - just a plain basic checkbook. This app makes me want to go back to paper. Everything I had, all expenses, all balances...just gone, unbelievable. UPDATE 11/24/18: Developers never responded to any email request for help thru their app. I knew not to update this app because I lot everything about 3 years ago with an update, however I got a new phone and new iPad so I didn’t have a choice except to cross my fingers and pray they fixed their update issues. Nope. Now I’m gone for good and will tell everyone I can NOT to use this app because in the end, they’ll lose all financial info. After years of using this app, I’ve deleted and have purchased another to use for checkbook.

I really like this app because I can log all my things with a label of my choice and use a the budget tool too. It does need some minor improvements in the budget area and accounts area

I’m usually not one to write reviews on apps, but I have to say this definitely helped me manage my finances. It’s simple to use, you can create categories and set monthly/weekly budget for each category! My only complaint is that when you set a budget to a monthly basis you can’t individually set another category to a weekly basis, for example. Other than that the app is great and really easy to use!

I love this app

This is an Amazing app to keep track of all my transactions. I've had it for almost 4 years now but the only problem have with it now is that when I fist got it i paid $4.99 for the full version. Now it says that It would cost me $7.99 If I want the full version for this update and any upcoming updates. I fell like I should not have to pay again if I paid once already. When I paid fot the app I paid for the full version, not for the update.

Easy to see the balances of expenses and income!

This is the second time that they upgrade the app and then I loose almost all my data or a change to a new phone and doesn’t get back up all 👎🏻. I am looking for another options - another app

I like it a ton. It fits best with any budget and is the best I've found for keeping track of expenses and having many different accounts.

This is extremely helpful with keeping track of bills and my finances in my accounts! Been using it for a few years now on both apple and android and the iOS version is so much better!

Easy to use and does the job

I use this app every day to keep myself well budgeted. It’s not fancy, I simply use it as a glorified envelope system, but it works! Like I said for a free app I use it everyday and it helps me keep my finances on track!

Generally this app is my go to for managing my expenses and tracking them in categories. However, when trying to use recurring expenses/bills it causes a lot of issues with entries being repeated. In particular, if I have to move a date the recurring item will be duplicated and it messes up my totals. Consequently, I must enter my items individually in order to maintain flexibility with my dates. This is a common issue for most apps so maybe not something that is easily solved programmatically.

Pocket Expense does everything I need but for tax purposes, I wish I was able to print things for my accountant. Unless Im missing something, this option isnt available on my iPad app. Thanks.

The time intervals for the reports need to be checked. They don’t give the exact selected interval
