I have been using this app for a few months now and really enjoying it, up until today when I went to login to input a fill up and I have been signed out. The app keeps telling me that my email is not a registered user. Now I have lost all of my previous data and have no way to log back into the app. 😡😡

This is the only app I have ever used where I need to pay for location services. I use the android version also and never had to pay for location services.

Subscribed for a year and then i try using the app and its telling me theres no account and I need to pay. Just give me a refund -___- to tired to be dealing with crap

Been using this app for + 7 years. You changed it and started charging, in US Dollars. How do I handle this as I am in South Africa.

Great app. I love being able to track my fuel mileage so simply!

You can’t type out a sentence in the notes area. You can only see the word you are typing until you close the text screen. Really? How did that get past testing? You also can’t select more than one photo at a time without digging down one at a time into your collection. Provide a select option so I can quickly grab all related photos and put them in the service entry.

I've always tracked my gas and services manually. This is much better. However, I don’t need the upgrade so I wish I could turn off the ad in the beginning

I have been tracking every mile from day 1 with Fuelly. I really like the app, it is easy to use and helps me monitor the amount of time I spend on the road. It is helpful to teach my mileage but I have found that being aware of my fuel consumption keeps my foot off the accelerator. I found this app while designing a lesson for my math class and I love that aspect of it too. You are able to access the data users input online to show statistics about different cars which made for a really cool intro to normal curves and standard deviation.

I have reported a number of issues via the app such as incorrect positive and negative fuel mileage differences. Also have reported a new vehicle that I added won’t sync. YES, I have checked my spam folders. Gas Cubby was great before Fuelly took over. Also, notifications do not work.

Keeps track of mileage and repairs. If you miss a fillup, that is no problem as you can tell it that you missed one. You will probably find out that your vehicle doesn’t get the mileage that your computer is telling you.

I’ve been using Fuelly for over a decade now. I’ve kept track of almost all my vehicles over the years. It’s really helps to show the records when it comes time to sell the car. 10/10 I recommend it to everyone I know.

Good App. But the fuel efficiency tracking needs improvement. They would need to use vehicle fuel capacity to improve it.

Great for tracking fuel mileage and recording services.

Want the fifth star? Add a month by month breakdown of the averages for fuel prices, efficiency, etc. Right now, Fuelly shows my average fuel cost to be $2.18/gallon. That’s because I ran in the South and had a great month in January; since then, gas has risen close to $3.00, and my industry has suffered a slowdown, so there’s no way I’m paying 15c per mile anymore. It would make things easier for me if I had better cost/mile information.

I give this a awesome review. I have been keeping track of my fuel mileage for all of my vehicles very accurately with this app. It always helps me to remember when I need to do an oil change. Synchronizing the data. And downloading the data to my email. I have been able to keep track of everything. I even lost my at one time. With the new Mobile home. I contacted the app and they sent me the date it and everything was good. Even though I had everything printed by email. It’s always good to back up to iCloud. Thank you thank you thank you. Happy day to everyone.

Easy way to track fuel expenses.

App is feature full, although sluggish on an iPhone 6 Plus. The biggest problem I have with it that the notifications are inaccurate, inconsistent and can’t be relied on. The dev should really fix this issue. It’s very easy to reproduce just by using the app and I see others have reported the same.

Easy to use app where I can store fuel and service info. Gives a great snapshot of those car ownership costs.

I paid for this app YEARS ago when it was Gas Cubby. Now the features I’ve used since then and those since it became fuelly are locked behind a premium subscription service? What the absolute hell?

The app doesn’t tell me my actual mpg it only showed me my mpg one time an then saved it an won’t tell me my current mpg junk I’ll just stick to doing it on myself on my phone

The best app for keeping track of my fuel costs

The earlier version was more clear & intuitive to use, but overall still a good & useful app.

I have been using Fuelly since 2013, and as a person who loves data, this app is fantastic. I not only store fuel-ups, but I also store every bit of maintenance I do on my cars here. Whether it’s an oil change, intake hose replacement, differential fluid, etc - the reminders work WONDERS for letting me know that it’s time to perform routine maintenance again. I love being able to see how many miles I’ve driven my car, and combined with Blackstone Labs Oil analysis tests, this combo will keep my car running great for many, many years. This is one of the top 4 apps that I suggest to other people (along with ScannerPro, Last.fm/Spotify, and Wunderlist), because it provides so much utility to me. I happily pay for premium, because I just love this service!

I’ve been using this app I know 6 years never had a problem. But last year I got bit by mosquito and contracted West Nile Virus. I almost died I was in the hospital unconscious for 6 weeks my brother said I put in the wrong code to open my iPhone while I was in the hospital and got locked out of my iPhone and could not unlocked until I got home to hook it up to my iMac to restore it. After that I did reinstall a lot of app but not this one because I couldn’t drive. Fast forward to today when I was wondering when the last time I filled up my vehicle it synced all my data but said I had to pay for the app again. Said could not restore purchases. I emailed support today maybe they can help me. This is really a great app but now it’s wanting me to pay again. Oh and it was August 10 2017 the last time I filled up. As of the date of this review is December 13 2018.

Bought this app before they had a subscription service and though the app works well enough I’m constantly asked to upgrade to their subscription service. The only options are to subscribe, review plans or “skip for now”. That means they intend to keep asking in perpetuity.

Been using this app for years. Wish it had more stats like it use to but it’s been a reliable app. One of my favorites. Keep up the good work dev team!

Liked the GPS Location station identifier - Until free version no longer caters for it therefore 4-stars... I like to recommend the application to all my family and friends because I love using it! Excellent for logging my vehicle records against it as well have the safety of the backup in the cloud should I lose my phone - I can restore logs going forward... Thanks for a great app!!

Very easy to use, yet comprehensive

Super useful to keep track of your milage and fuel expenses. Love it!

Can’t seem to put in a location of where I fueled up. Was there an update that removed that option for the free version? If so, what else don’t I have access to now???

I’ve never review an app before but this one deserves special recognition. The Free version at least continuously forced pop ups to come up with Safari which sends you usually to the App Store to visit a sponsored app of theirs. You don’t even have to click on an ad! Heck you don’t even need to touch the screen. It does it all by itself! And I do mean it’s continuous. Back to back to back if you go back to Fuelly. Sometimes it’ll open a pop up in Safari that will route through multiple redirect web addresses just like your favorite spam website on your PC. One page ended up giving me a iOS popup to call a 1 800 number that was somehow linked in that spam page. Seriously? I was thinking about paying for a premium version, but NOPE. No thanks.

Very advertisement heavy and constantly prompts you to upgrade but why would you want to. It has half the features as other fuel logging apps

This is an amazing app with amazing people who respond to me fast with solutions to my problems, which come from me not knowing what I'm doing sometimes, the developers yes those guys are patient with me until they correct my s**** up, how do I thank people like that? With a five star review that doesn't come close to being adequate enough . Thank you for this app that I've been using for so long and have a lot of information on it I'd hate to lose.

I used the original app, and it works fine. This new business model is terrible. I was supposed to be grandfathered but when I tried to transfer my vehicles, all my data is gone. Very disappointed to loose all the data.

This app used to be a great companion to the website, but now features that were free prompt you to buy a subscription, such as selecting the gas station location. I get charging for premium features, but this is still free on the desktop site, so you might as well just use that rather than the app.

What the “F” is wrong with you developers? I paid for a “lifetime” subscription over 4 years ago. Why do you continually update this app, s******* over the “paid” app users, limiting usage, constantly chasing the all mighty $. This app with the most recent “update” is now completely unusable, endless cycle of adds rerouting me to various App Store games???? All the “hard closings” and reopening, delete, reinstall, fails to get me back to an add free application that I can actually enter my data. I have officially now had it with this now piece of c*** money grabbing application. You have lowered yourselves to developer s*** seeking subscriber based income. Removing all usefulness from this app and discarding your “years long user” base. Good f-ing riddance..!!! Fuelly Deleted.....

Suddenly recording fuel up location is a premium feature. Time to find a different app.

You now have to record your full odometer rather than just the trip odometer & let Fuelly track for you. If you miss a fill up, it won’t calculate. No thanks—in my new car the odometer isn’t readily visible even. I’ll go back to old school, tracking it in a small note pad in the glove box.

The easiest way to track your fuel cost

I purchased this app before it changed to Fuelly. After migrating to Fuelly the ads came back and the app will not send me an alert for my oil changes. I set a reminder for an oil change by distance every 5000 miles and it does not pop up with anything. I even tried creating a new test vehicle and entered fake records just to test the remind function. Still nothing. I cannot find anywhere to email or call for support only a forum that you have to create an account so you can post your questions only to have a bunch of other users just like myself who know nothing and are trying to figure this app out.

We use this application to log all of the fuel that we use in our motorhome and all of our other cars. We like to keep track of what it cost for us to travel across the country and what we use locally. It has been flawless ever since they put the information on the cloud. I love this app works beautifully.

This app allows me to keep track of my spending on gas and see how efficient my driving is. Love the fact that I can add multiple vehicles and get service reminders.

when i come to the end of the year it shows me how much i’ve spent but it doesn’t total all amounts. other than that it serves as a good record keeper

Unusable. I cannot enter data on the app because it keeps opening the app store asking me to download Shein fashion online app. Used to be great now it’s full of ads.

Recently Fuelly started, at random times, redirecting me to apps in the App Store or to websites in Safari. It’ll redirect 5+ times in a row (as soon as I go back into Fuelly, it’ll redirect again, making the app temporarily unusable). And on top of that, sometimes it redirects me to p*** ads in Safari. Seriously?!

Update 01/02/18: I bought this app years ago. Now they want me to pay again to get rid of ads and use premium functions. I have emailed support for this app several times now and they will not even email me back. Where's that awesome customer service you brag about? The app used to be great and then it was bought out by another company. Lost YEARS of logs on my vehicle! 8 years or more of logs gone. Was told by the old company that there was no way to get them back and that they have nothing to do with the new app owners or the app anymore. I want my money back! Thanks for losing all my data. I paid for this app to keep my data safe, not to get bought out by someone else and dump all my stuff and not even get a sorry. Update 09/26/18: So it took almost 9 months to get a response from the company that Owens this app. They only responded to my review and not the emails I had been sending since before the review. The claim they have never received any emails. Interesting that almost a year later you respond with this claim. Their response, force close the app and this should fix it. Also to email their support for more help resolving. 1. Obviously force closing does not fix the issue. I’m even on a new phone and still have the issue. 2. Why would I trust your support to fix this if I email you when you haven’t responded to multiple emails. Your customer support may be the worst I’ve ever seen. I threw away my money on this app. I’m sure a future update will find away for you to get people to pay for this app AGAIN. But not me. I hope everyone can see your laughable reply to my inquiry to you through the App Store so they can see for themselves how terrible and obviously unhelpful and virtually non existent your support is.

Android has a quick record Fuelly app that is super easy. Where is the iOS version?

Used to be a great app until putting a location with your fuel up now requires premium subscription. At least announce a change like this in the release notes - don’t just spring it on long time users to strongarm them into buying the premium features.

After many years and much loyalty to Gas Cubby, (then grudgingly- Fuelly), tracking five vehicles over the years I'm sad to leave this app. I only wanted a digital log book. But now Fuelly has jumped on the subscription bandwagon and removed some formerly standard features. Some functionality is also gone. For example I often import US vehicles into metric based countries. So I fill up in gallons, pay for liters, track MPG and cost per liter. Can't do this anymore. You're either metric or not now. So I found another free app that can do this. Sorry Fuelly good luck with your mainstream business model.

Update 2: Apparently we are at the end of the troubleshooting stage for finding out why notifications are not working for the app. What was suggested to fix it? ‘Delete and redownload the app. Oh, that didn’t work? Nothing else we can do.’ My impression: we don’t know or care enough to actually sort out your issue. I asked if they were going to do anything else we can do to try and resolve the problem, but they said this is all they can think of. Also, as a response to the developers ‘check your spam folder’ comment. I check my spam folder every day. I never received a response to my first request for help on this issue. Thanks. Update: After going to their website and submitting a request for feedback to another product, I was directed to submit through the app. After that I did receive a reply. There is hardly any access to control settings within the app. It has an option to provide feedback in the app, it uses your email but I have tried many times and never heard anything back. I do not see an option to see how long I have remaining for my subscription, I thought this was a decent product and wanted to support that, but it now seems I was incorrect. One of my biggest issues is that the notifications for service reminders do not work on the app, I only see that it hasn’t told me when logging into the desktop/web version to read the forums for a solution. Not acceptable.

Guess they changed free app again. Now it won’t let you put in location where u bought fuel. Keep restricting what you can use on free app. Not sure how much longer I’ll keep using as not functional and not worth paying for just to keep track of gas mileage.

As I was typing # of gallons, the app kept trying to open a window to p*** site even though I didn’t press on any ads. Just ridiculous. App team- Please fix this glitch and make sure ads of this nature are not allowed on your app

But the constant pestering to subscribe gets old after the third or hundredth time. The subscription option needs to back the heck off on the repetitive appearances. All it's done is get me started looking for a replacement app. I purchased one of the original license versions and honestly do not appreciate my license being changed to where an ad (for the subscription) is pushed so heavily. The developers need to seriously rethink this. It's bad enough they share your data that gets uploaded to their website for sync purposes.

My Insurance company contacted me and tells me they know how many miles I’m driving per year on my vehicle. When I tell them I was using Fuelly, they said that the Developer sells my information to third party companies and thats how Insurance companies get it. I will delete and stop using this s***** app. The developer denies this but its interesting that my insurance company knew the miles I logged in the app. I also did not have sharing features on. I no longer use the app. I have no idea who’s doing what.

With each update the free version seems to lose another function. The most recent one I’ve lost is the ability to add the gas station or service station I’m using. This used to be automatic then I had to put it in manually. Now I can’t do that at all so I put it in the notes section. If the developers want everyone to pay for a subscription, then just say so. I’ll look for another app although I liked this one before these cheesy changes.

I have no problem paying for an app, and depending on what type of service or tool, a subscription as well. I don’t, however, believe that something as basic as fuel tracking (even with attachment options) rises to the level of requiring an annual subscription. A $6 annual subscription (assuming no growth in the subscription) at 3% inflation in perpetuity has a present value of $200, which is a bit steep for me. Subscription for Spotify or Netflix with constant value-added, new programming is justified; fuel tracking - not so much... Recommendation: charge a reasonable one-time fee for the app instead.

A recent update made it a premium feature to add location to a fuel up.

Wish I could give it zero stars. The following has been a problem for over a year. This last few previous versions broke the spinner that is the alternate to the number pad. Since I use the spinner to enter my mileage and find it invaluable because it shows the mileage of the last entry, and helps me to know that I am entering the mileage for the right vehicle in the app, plus I just find it to be easier to use, the loss of this functionality comes as a great blow to me. As a result I pulled the last version that the spinner still worked out of my computers trash can and downgraded. Unfortunately that version is not compatible with iOS 8 or later. Now the developers claim that the spinner is no longer compatible with iOS 8 and above. To this I call B***. I am using iOS 7 and the spinner was not working in the last few versions on iOS 7 either which indicates to me that the problem is the coding. I realize you rewritten the app only to make it even less user friendly. I rarely record my fuel purchase while at the gas station yet the newest versions of this app insist on getting location data. The app then uses the location data to suggest which station you are filling from. And even while standing next to the pump the app could not suggest the correct station. It stupidly insisted I was nearly a thousand feet down the road at an Arco when I was at a Costco. Never mind the fact that the app never lists a Costco as the station at which you are filling. It rejects it as invalid when you try to manually enter Costco as the station. I think it is time to look for a new fuel and service log app.

I’ve been using this app for years. Do you now require a paid subscription to add the location of the latest fill up?

Really like the android version of just using this until I get rid of this iPhone.

Fuelly is a great app except for an issue that just occurred. While trying to enter my gas fill up info, Fuelly went 3 times or more to try and got to the App Store for another app. It finally stopped and I was able to enter the fill up info.

I’ve tried at least 10 fuel/maintenance log apps. I’m crazy obsessive when it come to tracking maintenance and fuel costs. This is by far the best app I’ve used. The interface and especially the ability to store in the cloud separate from iCloud. Thank you to developers for creating such an amazing app.

Was a great app, but with updates, they keep removing features that were free and moving them to their subscription app. Becoming more and more useless.

This app is helps me keep track of my mileage, and is supposed to produce maintenance reminders, but it doesn’t anymore.

I purchased this app before it was named Fuelly and before the owner instituted a subscription model. It worked then and works now quite well as a fuel and auto maintenance tracker. -1 Star: Unfortunately, when it converted to Fuelly, some of the options were not afforded to those whose previously purchased the app and instead require and on-going subscription. While I find that frustrating as a user who already invested the advertised price into this app, I get the capitalistic nature of the subscription model for app developers and their overhead for continuous development. - 1 Star: My main annoyance with Fuelly is its regular advertising for premium subscription-based features upon app startup. I’m not even trying to access those features. I get interrupted using the features I’ve already paid for with the ads to pay for more. Makes me want to find another app, but I’ve got so much history with Fuelly that it would be time-consuming to migrate elsewhere. The the Fuelly devs: if you’re listening, please remove the apps that get in the way of non-premium features and please consider giving premium features to those who bought your app before you went to the subscription model.

“Upgrades,” that offer no additional features and force my data into their hands are both creepy and unwelcome. Ads mean the user is their cow. They use the data you generate to make money. And if they claim they aren’t doing that today, it is presumably in the works. Why else would they want to “sync and store,” my personal data. Unless the whole point of that is to hold my data hostage for their subscription fee. Maybe it’s both. Update Nov 2018: Every iteration is another iteration of fewer features while still holding our data. I reiterate that their support and customer service is (at best) dodgy. This could have been a fantastic product that I’d have gladly given money to, if it didn’t feel like extortion. I am looking for alternatives. I do NOT recommend this product.

Will it ever be possible? There are hundreds of of that are either free or one time payment where we’re paying yearly subscription to keep records of our fuel usage yet I see developers do not update this apps in months!

I found this version harder to input data. And why do I have to now log in each and every time I open this? If my credentials have changed why not point this out so I can correct. Maybe I just don’t see what’s wrong. Help me out on this how bout it.

Since the update I can't login and it can't find my email address. I've been logging data since 2010 at least. Worked fine till now. Not sure what to do.

What on earth have you done with your app?!!?? You’ve destroyed it. I am so angry with your app and your company. I have been using your app as a paid customer since the first version of Gas Cubby (before it became Fuelly). Once you changed the app to Fuelly, your app has gone down the tubes. Recently, I discovered my password no longer worked and I have had to register a new password for the third time. Syncing constantly stalls and fails. I’m constantly forced to log in. And today, after having to re-register for a third time (and being greeted with what appears to be a phishing pop-up ad on your website), I learned that your app and server have not recorded any of my entries since March 2016. More than a year of data has been lost including major service I had on my car. You have the temerity to push me to upgrade without showing what benefits doing so would offer. I’m furious. Pencil and paper would be more effective than your app. Consider me to be an ex-customer.

I recently lost some data that we were in putting on Fuelly. I received a email on the matter and it was restored. The data that we need is from December 2017 to current month we did not get that data. Jerry
