Ba Financial Calculator Pro App Reviews

Calculator works great...but the app only works in portrait mode and does not support split screen or overlay features build into iPads rendering it pretty useless if you are trying to use it for work on the iPad. It would also be nice to be able to view/export a register and amortization tables like the other BA II Plus app.

App is good and mirrors my BA II Plus. Developer needs to incorporate multitasking, split screen and landscape functions so calculator can be used alongside other apps namely a note taking app to enhance efficiency.

Works the same as my old calculator that I had for years. I use it to compute loans and investments. Very handy. Make sure that you input payments as a negative ( - ). Very handy to have built into my phone! And a lot less$$$.

I was going to buy the app for the TI ba II Calculator this calculator gives you Most of the functionality for free plus it’s on your iPhone or android and you don’t have to lug another device around however if you think you need more or specific functionality you can purchase the TI app for around 15 bucks I personally didn’t see the need to do so since I’m in front of pc all day and can use MS Excel for advanced functions

The calculator functions are great, but it really needs leverage multitasking on iPads. I end up taking out my phone during class to use the app on it rather than being able to use the slide over app feature on my iPad. With that addition, it would be a 5 star app.

Almost all my finance students use this app instead of the real BA II calculator. it works fast and reliable. it is really convenient since every one has a phone. anytime anywhere to calculate a finance problem with it.

If you are familiar with the TI financial calculator, this app is for you.

Fraction of the price for a physical calculator and just as good.

I used TMV calculations extensively in my undergrad Finance degree and this calculator is a godsend. If you want to do PV, FV, annuity calcs, discount rates etc then you need this app.

Used this calculator to study many times. It works great and is a fraction of the cost of buying the same calculator in the store.

Costs less than half the price of the TI version and has performed the same functions.

Many of the buttons, like the 0, don't work on initial tap. Very frustrating.

This is a great calculator. It was obviously made to replace the Texas Instruments 35 and it does it very well !

So far so good! I'm studying my MBA and this app is really useful, the only improve i could recommend, is to include a line to show the formulas or the values that we are writing, it will be easy to follow every detail on the calculation process.

Remember: this is BA II Plus Professional app with more functions than BA II Plus. This is the only BA II Plus Professional app. other apps just emulates BA II Plus.

Thanks for the update still have a problem with buttons that don't line up with the touch points. Zero button is always hard to press on the iPad.

This BA II Plus emulator works just like the real thing. I haven't found an error or difference between it and my actual BA II Plus yet. Keep up the good work!

Good program, which I use a lot. The two features that need a fix: 1. In the Edit mode, the program frequently freezes during the process and won't respond to taps on the screen. One can often clear this by going to a different portfolio, doing an edit there and returning to the first portfolio. This doesn't always work. Usually happens after the first couple of edits, not the first. Interestingly, it is worse on my iPhone 5 than on my iPad mini, but it happens on both. 2. The App still can't accept option positions. As I have many options, this always throws off my portfolio value, and also makes me have to sign into my broker's app to see what's going on.

You pretty much have a BA II+ in your pocket at all times, but for cheaper. Awesome interface, works just fine for me. 10/10

I have relied on it for a couple years. it works like a charm. do yourself a favor to buy it. it is perfect for any financial professionals or students.

After an update I needed to delete and reinstall but all good!

Absolute defiance for all those teachers who said you won't have a calculator in your pocket for the rest of your life. This is just like the real deal. Plus there are tons of you tube videos that have tutorials for calculating TVM and CF with the real Calculator. Works the same on the app.

Didn't have my BA II with me. This app was not very expensive and did a great job in a pinch.

Ah man, it says compatible with iPad! Nope, not in the normal keyboard orientation. And there's no split screen mode either! You should disclose all iPad limitations so that we don't have to pay for it to find out! I need to have the calculator open alongside my browser.

The app has potential to be fantastic. However, I discovered an instance where the calculator got the days between dates wrong. I double checked it with an actual TI BA 2 Plus as well as Excel. And yes, I double checked the day count convention. If the calculator can't get that right then it makes me wonder what other errors there might be. There is also a problem with the bottom row of buttons on the iPad version. You can only press the top half of each button. The bottom half of the buttons do not register. Finally, I emailed support about the above problems and never got a response. That was the final nail in the coffin. I will be asking for a refund.

Just like the real thing. I use it all the time for my CFA study. No more worrying about forgetting my calculator!

This app works like the real Ba II calculator, but with more shining UI and easy-to-use features. I use it on my iphone and ipad, which are always close to me. worth every penny.

If you need a calculator for getting tvm and cashflow, this could be perfect substitute goods. It is almost same as Ti BA2 plus.

I can't press directly on number "0". I must press on word "MEM" to show 0 on screen. Please fix it.

This app doesn't work. I have reset it multiple times and it won't perform basic TVM problems correctly. Complete waste of money.

iPhone 5 makes the keys much easier to use. This app means my calculator is always with me.

Hmmm...$60 versus $6. Figure that math out! This does exactly the same thing as the calculator without having to carry one more thing around. Money well spent!

I just got this app so I’m still experiencing it but I bought this app based on the assertion that it has the ability to Store numbers in memory (a simple and clear cut function!). This function does NOT work!! You can store a number and retrieve it only in the same session. If you leave the calculator and return, all stored numbers are erased. Not like the real calculator by any means. Very unhappy with this misrepresentation!! I wouldn’t but this app!!!
