More than half the time the app doesn’t work. Constantly have “error” issues. Can’t watch liveTV.

It is so horrible that I am speechless

This app is really disappointing. It's very slow and it fails many times. Certain programs have commercial after commercial and barely any air time so it takes twice as long to watch it as it would be if you watched it on regular television. It's truly a disappointment for such a large network to have such a poor running app with today's technology that's available out there. I could go on about all the different things that it does not do however it doesn't seem to get any better.

I get Just what I need when I use The NBC app. Have not had a single problem or issue. Easy to use and navigate. Great Aesthetics and Overall Excellence. It is Elegant in its overall operation. Very Happy 😁

The NBC app tells you that a particular show is free to watch and then it locks it after season one. This is called bait and switch.

I feel if you have the app you should be able to watch all NBC episodes. They shouldn't be locked. Not everyone pays for other servers. I am finally getting to watch this is us from the beginning. I hope NBC doesn't stop the free episodes- if they do I won't get to watch them all. If you want people to watch your current shows, all episodes should be available to view. Who wants to start a show that's been on for two years?? Other than this gripe I like the app. I love the blacklist and we usually can't get a good signal. I love being able to watch it the next day thru the app.

Why even have an app when after a certain amount of time you’re locked out? You wither have to sign up, which only gets you 3 more episodes, or link a provider. Who wants to do that?? The app is there so you don’t have to do all that crap. Also, this app is not user-friendly. Tried to watch heroes, and am very disappointed.

I only got this to watch this us but app is great but it has it cons because it constantly tells me to sign in to my link provider. It also only gives you three credits. Either than that it great watching on my phone.

We have this app on our Apple TV and it is AWFUL. It has always had glitches and continues to do so despite updates over the last several years. The menus constantly freeze up, sometimes they never load and you have to restart the app and when it does work it is incredibly slow. It also freezes up our Apple TV for about 15 seconds when you close out of the app. No other app does this on our Apple TV so we know it’s not that. It also glitches at commercials and will play a few seconds of a commercial and then start over several times before completing the commercial. Sometimes you have to pause and un-pause the commercial to get it to play through so you can get back to your show. Wish there was a way to watch a few of my shows that are only available to watch through this app. TERRIBLE.

I like watching shows on there but it keeps stalling and buffering it is very annoying

I enjoy the app. when I am away from my tv and dvr. With my job, I spend a number of hours each week just waiting around. So, it comes in very handy. I especially enjoy watching new shows that I have seen advertised, but haven’t had time to watch at home.

“Live stream” yeah okay I tried to watch SNL last night and it kept playing an old news report. That’s not live. Garbage. What’s the point?

Very easy to use and great for watching your favorite shows but sometimes during an episode of something it will randomly pause for a good minute or two. Other than that it’s great

I got this app to check out a show that looked interesting. I'm now deleting this app because OMG the number of commercials was ridiculous! Hey NBC, this is not TV, this is the internet. Playing 3 minutes of commercials in a row isn't happening. At all. EVER. Good luck with your old and out dated business model. I'm going back to my Netflix and Prime apps simply because I don't have to be tortured with long "commercial breaks" from the last millennium.

Just downloaded app in September and binging on Dateline episodes. I’ve had no problems at all and can search for any episode and start watching immediately- not sure why other reviewers complain but runs smoothly for me

I really hate this app. Downloaded it... won’t play a thing. And when it does decide to work, it won’t go play on my smart TV. Really? Really. At least Netflix and CBS allow that. And CBS has better shows. Way to fail, NCB.

I can only Watch episodes on my iPad. It won’t allow me to stream from iPad to TV, like I do with Netflix. Also when I’m on my iPad, it won’t allow me to play a game and watch, like I can do with Netflix.

I can watch when I want too.no matter what interrupts the station weather news or the tv itself. I wish it was on sooner 9:00 is late, I think it could be shown sooner!!!

This app is great. Since NBC and Dish can't come to an agreement we don't have NBC on TV in our area

The app on Apple TV has gotten more and more unstable and slower over time. I keep expecting an update that helps but it just gets worse.

I’ve had this app for many years and it used to be good but for a while now it has been terrible! The app loads very slowly and it’s incredibly frustrating. For that reason I only use it every so often hoping that this will be the time it’s fixed. This app could be great. Please fix it!!

I’m very satisfied so far but it’s only been 2 days

I go to the website to watch an episode of a show that I missed. One thing that is most annoying are the ads. Instead of having an app that just provides the show itself, you still include the commercials. I understand it is necessary to include them when the shows air on tv, but to keep them on the app, I find them to be ridiculous. Even when I record the shows on NBC, I do it because the ads can be fast forwarded and the flow of the show is not interrupted.

So I can only watch using my cable provider, etc. Ok, Netflix and Amazon Prime it is. If your shows don’t show up there, they will not be watched in our household.

I had no problem with this app until the most recent update. I can no longer stream shows from my phone to my tv. I can watch from y phone no problem but the second I connect to the tv the screen turns black and refuses to play. I’m very disappointed because NBC has a lot of shows that I love to watch but unfortunately now I can not.

Just trying to watch Rise over here to relive some Siremy moments and it’s gone. Taken off. Forgotten. This app is a waste. You don’t give us a season 2 then try to erase it completely? Really? Horrible

I downloaded this APP to catch up on program episodes I missed. The only issues I’ve had is slow buffering on occasion when I’m watching a show. Otherwise, it works well!

NBC app skips sooo bad on iPad and iPhone. All devices are up to date and very newer models. The app skips so bad that I miss whole scenes of shows and nothing will fix it or help me to catch up on those missing scenes. So annoying, please fix soon.

Free over-the-air TV is nearly impossible to watch on this app without a cable provider? NBC: NO! I won’t sign up for anything to unlock your episodes when I can just turn on my ANTENNA TV and watch without the hassle....deleting!!

I have direct tv and I don't get NBC right now due to a contractual dispute in my area. I am so frustrated because I can't watch the new season of the voice and this is us, shows I really look forward to. I downloaded the app and was so excited to watch my shows but when I am prompted to put in my cable subscription provider it's not gonna work anyway because I don't get NBC right now. I'm fully frustrated! Other than that the app has worked just fine for me so far.

This is easily the worst application I’ve ever seen. Not only will it not play the live feed (yes, I have a TV subscription), but moreover, the customer service or lack there of is appalling. It’s been almost a month later from me sending them a troubleshooting email and I still don’t have an answer or response as to why the live feed won’t work. Take your business elsewhere, this developer clearly doesn’t care. If I could give 0 stars, I clearly and happily would.

I’m super busy and whenever I want to binge watch my shows I do it through this app. Well now this new version does not allow me to do so anymore. The episodes will not play whenever I connect it to my TV. This issue just caused me to look for other shows from other channels.... I will miss my nbc shows ... ohh well ...

Great app to catch up on latest episodes of shows. The app tends to freeze over WiFi and cellular connection.

Very simple to use limited commercials

I used to be able to see several weeks of Days of our Lives. Now only the episodes in the current week are listed. I am missing many episodes, even ones I was in the middle of watching. The latest update was AWFUL! Please fix it.

Can’t use this. Tried to download to watch This is us. It requires I choose a device provider. I don’t have one because they all stink and I’ve cancelled. I watch tv with an HD antenna now. I can’t even get in to see how badly the app works like everyone else says.

Connecting iPad to tv gives you a blinking screen. I guess I need to wait the Manifest to be posted on foreign websites to watch it. High quality there

My livestreaming of the app hasn’t worked for months. I get an error stating that if this continues then to contact them. I made two attempts contacting them but never received a response. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app but it still isn’t working. Super annoying.

One major issue is that if you have a phone like the iPhone X or higher, and you watch the live stream of NBC, it is stretched viewed to where the top and bottom is cut off. I tired to see if there are any ways of making the video aspect the correct ratio but so far I haven’t found the solution.

I have spectrum so I have no problem ...I’m able to watch my programs at my convenience. Love being able to use my iPad instead of having the tv on generating heat in my room.

This app was developed so a 4 year old could navigate it. So easy to move from show to show, and the tile organization is fabulous! So easy to use, even a caveman can use it!

I’ve been attempting to sign in for 2 days to watch live TV. My service provider is being shown when I enter the app but it still wants me to go through the sign in steps. I get the code, go to the web page, enter the code, sign in with my provider and then I get the page that an error has occurred and you can’t reload the page to try over. You’d think a company as large as Comcast would have this figured out by now.

App freezes and disconnects when paused for more than a few minutes and makes you start at the beginning of the show again.

I only use this app for one show (since everything else is on Hulu), and there so many bugs on this app that it isn’t worth watching the show anymore. The app doesn’t always load properly, will stop & have to start over mid show, & sometimes it won’t even work. I end up waiting for six or seven episodes to add up and then binge watch it all at once. At this point if they can’t fix the app soon, it would be less frustrating to just stop watching the show & delete the app.

This app would be great if only the audio matched up to what was actually showing on live tv.

I have consistent live stream issues in both the iPhone and Apple TV app. Rarely works

Have you removed all of the descriptions of episodes? How can we navigate through content if there are no descriptions? Just thumbnails and titles? I’ve stopped using your app...

So my original TV broadcasting will not show Days of our lives only at midnight and I watch it on this app and catch up and I also love to watch dateline at night this app has been my me time thank you NBC for your wonderful shows and this app!

Said can watch live TV but without cable service provider account, it would not work, even though signed up a profile with NBC. Local live TV channels are free so what’s the use if have to pay for cable to stream free TV?! Lousy!!!

I am convinced there is someone there that doesn’t have a real job other than to make the app worse and worse and worse I was forced to update and nothing was wrong and now that I updated a day ago nothing is playing and all I see is video playback error you guys are a disgusting an unbelievable people that really have nothing to do then to frustrate people and force updates that don’t really need it

Would be great if it worked without freezing & crashing constantly. I thought it was my internet at first, but if I back up in a program, it will freeze in the exact same spots again, and all other streaming apps work fine. Every time the app updates, I hope it will be fixed, but never is.

Full bars 5G WiFi Conmection and AGT not only plays with 1 hour worth of ads but it keeps freezing every 3 minutes. Great concept but app’s streaming capabilities needs serious improvement

The shows are good the streaming is bad. It takes the app at least 5 times to get through 1 add. I am ok with adds if they would play all the way through. I counted and one time an add started stopped went back and started again in different places 20 times. If the adds just played I would give a higher rating. Update: I doubt I will ever buy or use any of the services advertised since I have to watch the same adds over and over and they keep skipping back. Also, the app has now started skipping back into the show after the adds start. All viewing pleasure is gone.

Got the app so I could live stream the Michigan/Notre Dame football game. Linked to my cable provider with no issue. Although why should I have to since it’s NBC’s broadcast and not my cable provider’s. Anyway, I could see the game but could not hear the announcers the only audio I could hear was the crowd and referee. Then went to watch the Today show this morning and their voices were so soft I could barely here them, and on many occasions they were being overshadowed by some kind of background music. Oh but the commercials work just fine. What the hell????

Do they realize it’s 2018? Are the developers just lazy? This is the worst streaming app I have ever tried to use. It doesn’t recognize my cable provider (Xfinity - says it’s not included in my package and it absolutely is), doesn’t recognize my chromecast 90% of the time, takes 25 seconds to rewind 10 seconds, and when I tried to submit feedback it doesn’t recognize auto correct so it took me 5 minutes to type 3 sentences. Omg fix your app for the love of God

At first the app was great, now I have had it about 4 weeks and it is terrible - streaming, after viewing 8-9 commercials the stream goes back to the beginning and the stops 30 seconds in! No matter what you do it does the same thing over and over 8-9 commercials, starts from beginning, 30 seconds in freezes -this happens over and over. Like right now it is 5 pm and it is showing News from yesterday over and over. After 8-9 commercials, starting the stream over again, 30 minutes in, it freezes. On and on so now it is time to delete!

App has been down for 5 days through direct tv now. Cannot find anyone to contact & emails to nbc are a waste of time as no one responds

When I’m on live TV you can’t hear the people talking. Everything else you can hear. I know my audio is setup properly. Plus every other LIVE TV app I use works fine and can hear everything. (Even CBS live TV.) What’s going on here? Seriously.

It is at least the fifth iteration of this app and it demands weekly reauthorization on the AppleTV and their website puts you into an endless loop of entering the seven digit authorization code on the screen, only to do nothing. I can’t think of an app that makes itself so hard to use. My experience is with this app and xfinity in the ST Bay Area.

Use to love it. Now it’s so slow and closes randomly it’s just annoying. Updates don’t help either. Other apps work as expected and I updated phone.

With CBS I can login with Facebook with NBC you can’t. Plus I Don’t have these providers login. I Left after I Used my up my credits

Worst app ever. Never have I had to jump through more hoops to watch a show that is free to watch on television. This free credit BS that never resets after it has been used, basically forcing people to create fake email accounts just to be able to view more.. This app is not worth a second of my time.

I downloaded this app a few weeks ago and was excited to watch season two of Trial & Error. However, the CC setting is apparently broken - no matter what I try, the captions will NOT go off. I’ve tested a few other shows, the problem continues there. Based on a google search, lots of people are having this problem but I haven’t seen any solution yet... Help?? I tried reaching out to customer support but the email was rejected because “the address does not exist.” Would really appreciate this being corrected - I’m not going to waste my time trying to watch a series when I can’t see a quarter of the screen because of captions that I can’t turn off.

Slow. Slower than slow. It’s the slowest app I have on my phone. Can’t even give it 1 star. Huh. Tried to send my review but it won’t send. Guess I have to give it a 1, but it doesn’t deserve it.

I’m so sick of broadcast channels thinking their content is so special that younger generations coming up will pay for it as a single channel or cable get a grip. No way, there is so much content out there it’s just not needed. If you want to compete you have to open it up. You don’t have a choice in a viewers market that isn’t going away anytime soon you have to step off your high horse. Get a clue Universal you just aren’t that special. You and your dated marketing ideas. We’ll all just wait for whatever show to end up on streaming in a year or two, we are patient like that. You and CBS and everyone of the broadcast channels that run too many commercials anyway. Luck to you and your stock prices. Wrong choice wrong era.

I’ve been trying to watch live TV on this app for weeks. I’ve emailed multiple times to get it fix and no one has responded. What’s the point in offering live TV through your cable provider if it’s not going to work?!

Every 10 minutes there’s a barrage of ads and usually it’ll resume to about a few minutes ahead from the original pause. I have to go back, and I another round of ads for going back a few minutes. Another significant thing is that it won’t save where you last left off, and you know what that means: additional ads. There are more aspects that could be worked upon, such as switching to full screen which’ll take several seconds but overall the app is eh. Wouldn’t recommend it :/

Tried watching Saved By The Bell, but there are 5 commercials before the episode even stars. The video has a white blurry like tint across the middle of the screen. Episodes freeze, and when you try to play or go back, it fast forwards the video while the audio is way behind.

NBC app was great! Now ,since last update, it will not play videos at all. It just freezes and flashes on the TV screen. Please bring back old version because it was perfect. Fix this issue please or no ones getting paid because I can’t even see the commercials that companies pay to put on your app!

I really used to enjoy watching shows on this app. I am not sure what happened in one of the latest updates but the app constantly freezes. You can be watching a show, it will freeze and then skip ahead. Very frustrating and it also crashes quite often.

In my opinion, this app is useless. After being directed here by another link so I could watch AGT because I had missed it but, guess what, AGT could not be found. I see no benefit from installing this useless app.

Logging into my provider is an infinite loop. It says successfully linked then goes to a blank player with no content. It never shows that linking actually works, I need to keep linking but it does nothing. The android version on my phone works, but not the iPad version.

I've enjoyed watching Nightly News with Lester Holt if I happened to miss the night before broadcast. There was an update today, I thought it would be fixed, but no, the last one I can watch is on the 19th. Where is last nights and tonight's show? It's frustrating!

The NBC app WAS awesome. I was able to be in the kitchen casting to my Google Chromecast, but now it won’t allow me to view live TV consistently.

The app is trash. Very poorly designed. Like how we can't rewind, or how ads play even after you just got through with ads sometimes. Idk. It's pretty c*** but how else am I supposed to watch the good place season 2 you know?

I love the actual network and most of the shows on there but I cringe when I have to use this app on my iPad. It is so slow and freezes multiple times and shuts down during your show. Please update it already. Every other network has decent running apps. .

It takes a long time to load compared to other station's apps. Sometimes it just bounces me out and I have to close the app and start over again. Once I finally get to where I can get the show running it works great after that.

This app is so slow to load—every. single. time—that I open it and then go do something constructive while I wait to watch a show. And the number of commercials is ridiculous, even for a free app.

This is a highly not recommended app. I understand all the commercials and i’m ok with that but after them the show is freezing. Restarted the app several times just to watch 5 min of a show. Go f... yourself

I only use this app to watch Dateline. It’s hit or miss if it works; I frequently get an error message to re-authorize, which I will do, and then I get the same message. Then the next day, it will work, then an hour later it doesn’t work. Please fix the issue!

Just plain terrible

I was excited about this app because I hadn’t watched the last season of snl and I could finally watch it but the app keeps crashing and the closed captioning won’t turned off. Watched the episode with Bill Hader and then uninstalled.

There are so many things wrong with this app, but I’ll just name my two biggest pet peeves. 1. You can’t fast forward without using the slider. You guys have a button to go back 10 seconds but not forwards? The slider is impossible to use on tony devices such as phones. 2. The captions won’t turn off. I don’t want captions, my hearing is fine. Whether the caption button is blue or white, the captions stay no matter what I do...

I have probably spent more time watching commercials than actually watching shows. Nobody likes your commercials, NBC. They're not even funny and they're redundant.

10 minutes is much too long for the app and the program. would watch more often. Rated 1 star for this reason. ss

Not as simple as every other streaming app.

Our old-fashioned TV/cable doesn't allow for recording/DVR, so this is our only way to watch shows we like but missed in the night they ran. Frustrating to have to wait for them to be unlocked, but usually worth the wait

you can watch NBC on basic antenna tv, but the majority of episodes are locked unless you log in with a cable provider????

NBC has become a station that reports opinions and hear say rather than real news.

About once a week I have to relink the app to my provider, Direct TV Now. Why? And yes, the number of commercials are driving me away.

There are like commercials every 7 minutes maybe they should only put it once in the middle! And they aren’t short commercials there r like 10 u have to watch and it is just a waste of my time.

I tried to watch on Chromecast. It was successful for one episode then couldn't get the next episode of the good place to play. Downloaded the app on my firestick. It worked, but there are 5 commercials every 5 minutes. A ridiculous amount of commercials for a twenty minute episode. This app belongs in the bad place.

Good-I can link to my cable provider and watch episodes anywhere. Love that I can get caught up or watch shows that I hadn’t seen before. And the app works well. Bad-it doesn’t have early season episodes for some of my favorite shows. And, OMG, how many add do we have to see?! It seems like you see one scene and then over to 5 ads to watch.

Whoever designed the app is horrible. Very hard to navigate and the streams typically cut out before an entire show is complete. Do not bother. Better off using an streaming website than this garbage app.

I normally stream shows I really watch and love.... although I enjoy the programs, I have a problem with your annoying messages showing on my screen. I have always been connected to WIFI..... why your site insist I should be connected to cellular...... what's up with that?..... a failure on your part that needs fix?..... it would be nice and enjoyable to watch the program without annoying messages. I am sure there are plenty of people having the same issue. Other than that, NBC app is great..... just get rid of that pop up!

Every time I start a show I get an error message. I’ve downloaded and deleted app a couple times nothing has fixed it.

I really love this app but I don’t really think that the ads are into my liking when in a episode of my favorite show. I hope that will change soon. Thank you

I would use this app more, but there are 2 problems. First, many of the episodes for each show are locked unless you pay. Second, it’s missing one of the network’s most popular shows. E.R. ran for 15 seasons, but is noticeably absent. The entire series should be available for free on this app.

Can't hear anything when watching live Today show. Then when the commercials come on, it's so loud it about blows your eardrums. Not sure why there's no volume, but so far I've only noticed it on live Today show.

This app in general doesn’t work on any of my devices... IPhone, Roku, or Fire TV.. just loads/ buffering or freezes completely. Thought it was my WiFi original , but does the same thing at my parents house as well. Disappointing as there are many shows on NBC that I wish I could watch.

I use my iPad a lot and am enjoying the NBC app for a lot of the show I watch.

NBC App streaming its own content works well until the ads, that’s when the buffering starts turning 4 minutes of commercials into 8. Fix that and it’s all 5 stars.

Even when I’ve got three bars and stand right next to my WiFi router, videos take ages to load. I’m not using cellular right now and it simply won’t work without it.

The app is okay but I am annoyed that I have to re-login to my DirecTv Now account everytime the app updates. I will start not updating in hopes this resolves the issue.

I watch good reality shows like America's Got Talent, World of Dance, and The Voice.

I watched a 30 minute show and it went to commercial break 6 times. 3 minutes every break and that’s 18 minutes.

This app gives you less than you can get from other sources from the same s***** content provider (Comcast NBC).

I love the actual network and most of the shows on there but I cringe when I have to use this app on my iPad. It is so slow and freezes multiple times and shuts down during your show.

This app is great for watching shows I miss when I’m at my dads house. My parents very recently got divorced and at my dads house I have a tv that doesn’t get cable and I love watching AGT, so I downloaded this app and I love the shows on here. But there is the problem, none of us can activate the our cable company. It’s not this app’s fault, but we don’t know the password and I only have one credit left. I wish it would give me more credits or I can earn them in some way. As soon as I can I will connect the cable company on, but I would love to see a way you can earn credits. I would say it would be very popular for people in my situation and it would be great for advertising some of the partners to NBC. If someone is sponsoring the app, it would benefit everyone (and of course by that I mean the sponsors and watchers). I would understand if this wasn’t a possibility, but I would still love to see it. This is a great app.

Hello, I am wondering where the closed captioning is for some of your streamed episodes. I properly turned on the accessibility function; although, no other app requires you to do this. This is an FCC requirement. Please comply for your Deaf and Hard of hearing audiences.

Very very slow to open with iPad Pro and latest update. Then very slow to start streaming after finally opening and choosing a video. Been that way for quite a while. Now, closed captions are showing and you can’t turn it off, even selecting and deselecting the CC feature!

The live stream feature is terrible - the main reason I downloaded the app and its beyond not functioning. From tv to phone the audio and video never match no matter how many restarts or resets. Don’t bother with this app. Just wait for the episodes on Hulu.

I’ve used this app for a while now to look at Dateline and Shades of Blue. Sometimes i turn on the closed caption whenever it’s a little loud around me or if i didn’t catch what someone said. Usually i’m able to swtich them off when i don’t need them but now they’re on the entire time. I’m not sure if this is a glitch or what.

I have had no problems with the app! If I want to live stream it does what is it suppose to does not freeze or have other issues!

I realized that the NBC Original “I Feel Bad” will be the best show in America for viewers.

It takes a long time to load compared to other station's apps. Sometimes it just bounces me out and I have to close the app and start over again. Once I finally get to where I can get the show running it works great after that.

I normally don’t write reviews, but this has got me so upset. I only downloaded this app to watch AGT, and watched first few episodes of the season, but it is telling me I have 3 tokens and if I want to continue watching the season I need to use a token an episode, then what happens once I run out, probably need to buy more tokens, greedy people, aren’t you making enough money off the commercials we have to watch???!!!!

I've been watching major and minor channels using apps for along time, and NBC is the most user friendly easy to use app out there. There is an improvement I'd like to see : when one show completes, the app sends the viewer to a random show. If I am viewing a series, I'd like to see the next show in the series.

Overall I like the app. I gave it a 3 star rating because when I’m finish with an episode, with most apps it would automatically start the next episode, or you can click on “start now”, (I have chrome cast by the way) well when I do this nothing happens, it just sits there. I have to literally close the app out every time and then reopen app and start casting again to watch the next episode..kind of annoying.

Stalls every two minutes or so on an Internet connection that tests at 79MBs.

My internet is slow, but it’s so incredibly frustrating to suffer thru the show I’m watching being so blurry you can’t distinguish f***** features, and then the commercials play in clear high def. It’s like they are buffering the commercials while you watch the show to make sure they are clear. No other tv app I use has this problem.

I know commercials are what pays for the app. However, some people are willing to pay to enjoy the app without commercials so they should create an option for those people 😁

I have to regularly delete and redownload this app because it will randomly kick me off my Verizon account and lock everything. Then the live stream will randomly disappear. Total garbage.

This app is almost superb. But, the volume varies greatly between programs & some ads. I watched my local news. I had to have my phone volume all the way up, but I could hear it ok. But, when nbc nightly came on , i had to put on headphones & have the volume all the way up. In one nbc nightly segment the background volume over powered the news reader. The volume does that on many ads, too. You can hear the background sounds, but the main announcement is totally silent. This is the only TV app that does this. I’ve used just about every other tv channel app available to me. The nbc app is the only one i have volume problems with.

I reached out to support stating that I was able to watch my shows for a couple of month and now seeing a screen that does not have the play button. I have uninstalled and reinstalled a few times and it still does not work. I can watch the live streaming but that’s it what I want. Support reached out to me after a month and ask me to send the screen shot and they would help me. It’s been over a month and no response.

I don’t understand. For one, I have to keep logging in with my cable provider credentials, I have to keep resting the watch over cellular option and most frustrating of all I keep getting kicked out of the show I am trying to watch for no obvious reason whatsoever. You’ve gotta be able to do a little better with this app. Please?! I am giving it one more week then DELETE. Thanks. Dawn

I’m so happy this app works with chromecast but it’s a little slow 🙈

This app constantly hangs up or just turns off mid show. It rarely will play more than 10 minutes straight. I have tried it in many locations at all different times. It NEVER works as well as other apps I have. Please, please put a fix in for these issues.

So the app works fine and I really enjoy using it with my cable provider. But, for what whatever reason, it totally messes up my Siri. When I play a video and then ask Siri a question she will not allow to speak and will remain that way until I completely close the app. Very strange, but overall not a huge issue.

With CBS I can login with Facebook with NBC you can’t. Plus I Don’t have these providers login.

The progress bar disappears when locking your phone and using chrome cast so you can’t fast forward through the show

Both this app and the NBC 4 app are absolutely terrible for streaming. I continue to use them because I love NBC, but this issue has been happening for years and it’s infuriating. I use chrome cast to connect when streaming Live TV and every few minutes it freezes and often will turn to just a black screen and you need to restart the app multiple times for it to come back on. Please fix this!

App is fraudulent and nearly worthless and causes unnecessary stress to most users because its description neglects to inform you of the requirements or cost to use it.

This is a horrible app. I watched season 1 of “The Good Place” on Netflix and loved it. They didn’t have season two, so I decided to hop over to this app since I was left on a cliffhanger. I was super excited to watch it, but the screen was just black. The time was going by, but nothing was happening. I skipped to ten minutes, and still nothing! Then, out of nowhere, a commercial came on, but I was already ten minutes in. When I went to the beginning, the same thing happened. Then a commercial came on again. Right after the commercial, guess what!? It froze! This app is dysfunctional and won’t work. Please fix it

I got this app to watch agt. I couldn’t even make it through 2 episodes... I actually counted... there were 11 acts in the episode and 59 commercials. It’s no wonder people try to find free streaming or downloads online. The networks cannot seem to realize how much they ruin the experience for people.

If I could give it half a star I would!! I use a lot of network apps and this one never works for long.....you seriously get to watch 10 min (if you're lucky) of a program before its goes to commercials only to never return to the show!!! Or better yet when you are trying to watch a show and it just flips to a black screen and then to your screensaver..... Apparently no one reads these reviews or they just don't care about how awful it is!!

After X passed away, I got this app to watch some shows and try to get over my manz passing. Honestly this app gave me so much aids it’s ridiculous. Like I have so much aids, so much. I tried to watch a show and received a notification that said “nah b.” Like thanks NBC? Legit nhokay bud. I was just tryna get really really d**** and watch this is us, but “nah b.” This app made me an overall worse human being. Aside from the aids and becoming an overall terrible person, the app is like kind of average. Like if your down with the aids and a bad experience I’d probably cop.

For the last week I have tried and tried to watch videos on the app and it no longer works. It’s become a waste of space on my device. So much for being able to watch my shows when I want now. I submitted a complaint and never received anything back. I’m very unhappy and disappointed.

Besides crashing a LOT this app is so slow and extremely difficult to use. One would think NBC would be able to get an app to work correctly.

Sorry to type this but the app needs work. A few bugs need fixing and there are way too many commercials. The shows are already extremely long but you have a commercial every 3 minutes it’s ridicules, I don’t think the app is worth it there are less commercials on tv. Your lucky I gave you stars.

I used to watch an amazing show called Timeless on this app then NBC foolishly cancelled it. Therefore I have no more use for this app and will be deleting it.

I like this app I wanted to binge watch Superstore but when I got to season 1 episode 9 it said that I ran out of free credits and I don’t have a cable provider so how do I get more credits so I continue to watch the show/ episodes that are locked ?

I love that the shows I want to watch are available, but if you leave it sitting on pause for too long and then try to play again, the app goes blank and basically restarts. Sometimes after 3-4 commercials it will start the program back up where you left off, other times it starts it from the beginning. Frustrating!

Asks me to sign in every time I open the app. Even though I have xfinity it tells me my tv provider doesn’t allow streaming. Then his can i sometimes stream and other times not. Stupid and frustrating!

Shows aren’t consistently uploaded timely. Also, not only does the app often sign me out, but it doesn’t always accept my credentials even when inputted correctly.

For some reason I can’t watch Days of our lives. I tried watching Friday’s episode and it won’t play? The app has been working great before this. I also couldn’t get the schedule to come up last night either. I think there needs to be another update? Can you please fix this?

I do like some things on this app better than some other apps for the other networks. I agree that I enjoy the 10 second replay. If you shrink the screen, the synopsis is right there. It also has a link to the live stream and I don't have pay extra or subscribe to see tv in the app when my kids are watching Netflix. However, I do also have to log off and restart. I must say that it is something that is happening with many apps like VUDU, and Netflix. A recent problem that I think all the apps are in need of addressing.

42+ commercials to watch one 1 hour episode is insane, You are competing with Hulu and Netflix not to mention other smaller streaming services all of which have eliminated or nearly eliminated commercials there’s no reason to try to force us to watch that many commercials

I have some of the best internet in the country 100x100 Mbps through fiber optic internet, every video app I have ever used works perfectly, while using this app, the commercials work flawlessly which I absolutely hate, but the shows get blurry, they freeze constantly and sometimes just don’t play. Also this app would be a lot better if they would offer a commercial free plan. But the playback issues is the biggest downfall to this app.

Can we get a better update for AppleTV. It doesn’t matter if I try to scroll through the shows or click on a show, but it is taking forever to load so I can actually watch something. Never mind the ongoing...and very annoying issue of having to log out of my TV provider and log back in, to watch something.

I have never opened this app before but wanted to. I'm now stuck on rehab from broken bones and was thrilled how easy it was. All I needed was my cell number from the account. It also works with knowing the email associated with the account or the account number. From there I got steps that walked me through. And what a life saver from boredom!!! I got to catch up on my favorite shows I missed, and can start the season I didn't watch. I was able to pause, and come back to start where I left. Yes, there are 3 commercials to watch during a break, but since this is a free service, I did not mind.

This app is EXTREMELY SLOW to load. I watch tv using my data all the time. CBS, ABC, and FOX all work fine using only phone data. This app is so bad. No idea why it doesn’t work like the others.

I really enjoyed watching the Live Stream of local news and NBC shows. Unfortunately, about two weeks ago, the service started to not work properly. When I click on “Live Stream” the same minute clip of “Early Today” plays highlighting an NBA game from last month. I really enjoyed being able to watch live programs. I use the NBC app to catch up on shows that I miss, due to life. I have Hulu, but it doesn't have everything. I can't get cable due to my rural location, so this helps me to enjoy my favorite shows when I can't be home to watch.

Updated it to the new version that is supposedly fixed and it’s still closing during a show.

I couldn’t stream their videos in my phone’s Safari App, so I thought maybe the app would work. I can’t stream videos in the App (on an iPhone 7); there isn’t the slightest hint whatsoever that any video I try to play in app is even trying to load. In contrast, my HBO & YouTube apps stream just fine.

I love the NBC family of shows but the app just continues to get worse. Please please please allow shows to go from one episode to the next so MAYBE the app won't crash between trying to catch up on a series. I have been forced to try new shows on other networks because the NBC App will not work!

Tried watch live tv on the NBC App this evening and finally gave up and watched another network on DirectTV Now. No buffering issues there, and speed test on my internet connection was fine. Issues occurred both on the Apple TV App and on the iPod App, so it is certainly attributable to the NBC app. Please fix this! Seems I am not the only user having issues with NBC.

NBC you should be ashamed. This is a platform for ads not watching a show. Tried to watch SNL and there were 5 ads between each sketch.....they were the same ads as well...over and over. Shear torture.

Don't like you have to be a cable network subscriber to login. I don't use Facebook or subscribe to cable net work. I subscribe to internet through a cable network but I can't login unless I have a cable login and password. Doesn't seem fair.

This isn’t a good app at all. Would be nice to be able to access the NBC Live Stream without needing a TV provider. TV provider? It’s 2018... who has cable these days??? If I had a TV provider, I wouldn’t need the NBC app. CBS All Access lets you stream “Live TV” for a small monthly fee. Brilliant!

I really enjoy the app but I do get irritated about all the locked content. NBC is a free channel so why do they want to charge us to watch certain things.

Can’t get my password changed

Play and rewind functionality work fine. However, if you pause a video, you can’t restart it; you have to re-load the video… which means re-watching the ad that precedes it. I’m using a four-year-old iPhone 6; maybe it works better on newer devices, IDK.

I have to keep downloading and deleting and redone loading the app twice a week since something changed on NBCs end. It is annoying. You can’t pause it or pick your show. You can only delete and start over.

I like seeing recent NBC shows, but I wish I could access the great sound of my Sonos system without seeing a frozen frame from the show’s title sequence ghosted under the video, intense enough to make the video hard to see. I’m in the west coast but I’m getting New York stations. No way to reset tv provider or anything else to get me to the right time zone and cable provider. Live tv gets error message. Deleting for the last time.

It's ok in the beginning because I miss some shows and I get to watch it free but then you need credits and sometimes it says error so I would delete the app and the download it again to watch my shows I don't know why but this has to many problems and they need to do better

Love this app, today seems so many shows on and at the same time so I love I can watch one and then come here and watch what I couldn’t the night before, love keeping up with the voice and other shows.

I’ve been trying to watch Xena, and it’s been giving me some issues on different episodes. Only says there has been a problem but doesn’t tell me what.

Downloaded the app to catch up on Good Girls and at first it was great.... then it started freezing up and skipping parts ahead! Definitely not gunna recommend an app that doesn’t work! Do these people even read our comments and “TRY” to fix the problem!!

I have had this app downloaded on my phone for quite some time. However, I have never used it. I have Netflix, so I can watch The Office all I want. But I saw it on the NBC app, and played a couple of shows and noticed that all of them were just clips. I’m trying to figure out why I can watch some shows, but some shows are just three minute clips, and you can even choose all of the seasons and all of the shows in that season… So why the clips? It seems Saturday Night Live is the same way. Why can I not watch the entire shows? I gave the app five stars because it is very well developed I think. I have signed in correctly with Dish Network and I have also signed in with my profile, so that is not a problem. But I’m not going to deduct a star from the app because it may be something that I am not doing right. I will check with support and see if it is something I’m doing and can fix. Otherwise it is a great app. I have an iPhone 8 Plus, and nothing ever crashes on me. I hear other people, not necessarily for this app, talk about things crashing. I’ve never had anything crash on me, not even on my 6S plus. If you have a cable subscription, take advantage of many of these applications that you can sign in with and watch tons of shows, especially past seasons that you may have missed or else would like to watch again. If anyone knows why Saturday Night Live and The Office are just showing three minute clips please let me know. I will update this if I find an answer.

OMG I love NBC I’ve had it for years. The quality is amazing! They add new shows as well as shows on tv I totally love it! When I sign in and try to play an episode I get a message saying I don’t have access on this device. Annoying because I know my TV providers carries this channel.

This app needs to be fixed. It takes me multiple tries to link my Verizon fios provider because it keeps going to the actual Verizon home page instead. Then after that I can’t even watch the live stream. I’ve tried everything. I’m done with this app.

This worked fine until a few days ago. I stopped being able to link my provider and then applied the update when that was supposed to fix the problem. It doesn’t!!!

The app freezes up or shuts down when attempting to cast a show to chromecast

Frankly, there should not be any commercials because I am using the app under my Directv subscription. But in any case, there are a ridiculous number of them.

It will be nice if they finished designing this app so you can watch live TV Also it would be nice to watch stuff live but unfortunately this app will not show things live like for example I wanted to watch a show it is supposed to start at eight Eastern standard time which this app is supposed to be showing things at that time and instead it changes to Pacific standard time saying that it will be on at that time when it won’t because the show will be over with

Has lots of problems, but we are thankful To have a way to watch a couple of our favorite shows for free. I do wish they would change it where you could eliminate the shows that cost money, you have to wait a week to watch a new show and then you only have a couple weeks to watch it before it goes away from the free option. Also, My daughters comes from a divorced home, and I see that other people have a similar problem. ... It simply won’t let you connect with your provider. Not sure if this is the provider or the app causing the problem, but I quit trying along time ago. Wasted dozens of times trying to enter the information he gave us. Never worked. That said, beggars can’t be choosy.... So I am glad to have a way for my daughter to be able to watch your favorite shows, the voice or the dancing shows. So thank you for that, nbc.

Until about 2 weeks ago I had no issues connecting my provider. Despite an app update 3 days ago to fix this issue, I am still unable to link my provider. This app is a waste of space.

If I hit pause I have to completely close the app to get it to play again. It has been like this a month. Otherwise I would have gave it a much higher rating.

Usually the app works great. What’s with the network error. Come on nbc get with it

Every time I try to sign in with my provider it keeps telling me incorrect email or password when I know for a fact it is the correct email and password. I even changed my password to get it to work and nothing. I deleted and re-downloaded the app and it’s still giving me the same error message. I’m using a iPhone and I didn’t have this problem before. All of a sudden it’s not letting me login and watch what I want. Please fix. The only reason I gave it one star is because of the problem I ran into.

Do not try to watch a show on this app, it will make you have to restart the episode every time. I cannot wait until I finish watching the episode my teacher assigned so I can delete this s***** and awful app.

Great except it won’t let me ‘Link to Provider’ for liked shows.

It’s not asking for any money nor to set up an account. I love it that I can just watch. No hoops to jump thru.

You can’t go back or move fwd. also if you have to stop in the middle of an episode it makes you start over at the beginning and you can’t move it fwd to where you left off. Also there is like 3 min of the show your watching and 5 min of Commercials. It takes 1.5h to watch a 45 min show!

April 3, 2019: Was a great app until 3 days ago when it began just generating an error message when trying to watch the Live Stream or any shows. Have already used the link in settings to report twice, no response or correction. Have uninstalled the app and reinstalled, logging back in for tv provider. No change, still doesn’t work. Disappointing service and response. The app is currently useless. Update: It is now April 9 and this app STILL is not working. Update: April 18 and there has been no change. App still not showing live stream or videos. Location services do not appear to be working anymore either. There has been one app update since this issue began which solved nothing. Update: May 6 and this app STILL is not working. That’s 5 weeks+ now that it has been 100% non-functional.

You would think that NBC being a very huge network they would at least be able to figure out how to play video on the apps. Doesn’t matter if it’s on a cell phone or if it’s the Fire Stick app or ROKU. The app freezes and doesn’t play at all. So disappointing.

I seldom write reviews, but this app is so bad I felt I had no choice! I can barely get through a program without the app just closing down. I must really loud several times just to get a program to start playing. I get air codes all the time. I don't have this issue with other apps of the same nature. Please improve this app!

IN MY OPINION, BIG MISTAKE CANCELING RISE. You had a golden opportunity to educate people and use this medium for helping the youth of our country . So many of our children are struggling with addiction,( drug & Alcohol) sexuality, ( trans, gay, queer) pregnancy, broken homes,parental relationship, school. You had it all in one story line and the ability to develop EACH characters personality but you BACKED OUT! Was it money?? No following, who did you check with . I (school nurse & teachers were never contacted. Pathetic decision. Bye Bye NBC.

I really enjoy the freedom of being able to watch my shows when and wherever I want.

So I’m watching Superstore on the app on my IPad and every single time I move my iPad, the app crashes. And I don’t get why? What does the effect of moving my iPad have on the app?

I can’t believe that you’re going to take the blacklist off with TV I am so disappointed that is one my absolute favorite shows.

I used to love using this app but as of late it doesn’t work and I’m pretty certain that is true for all NBC-Universal apps as the one for Bravo stopped working too! I’m surprised that such a huge company has 3rd graders developing their apps... I’ve tried contacting them and their responses are ridiculous... Enter your service provider information then restart your WiFi... 1st your shows used to be free if you waited a week, so my cable provider information is irrelevant, 2nd I’m trying to watch these shows outside of my home, so I can’t just reset someone’s public WiFi, if I were at home I’d watch the shows on my tv, not my phone... it’s your app! My other tv channel apps word just fine.

I have deleted the app and reinstalled it and the “live stream” plays an nba basketball telecast...and nothing else. Fix it!

Constantly crashing, commercials playing where there shouldn't be breaks, hitting the "rewind 10 seconds" button and it bounces to the beginning, taking forever to load, forgetting where I left off, closed captioning sometimes has errors or is delayed/ skips words. Sometimes the "continue watching" section isn't there. So i have to go to the whole list of shows and that page takes forever to load. Why are there so many bugs?! Could be a great app if the developers did a little more trouble shooting.

This app is awesome! I can watch all my shows when I’m on a plane or when I’m in my room! I am able to watch live shows and it’s just awesome! Thank you for making this app!

Been using the app to watch shows that I missed but now it’s not working anymore. Reinstalled the app a few time and only get black screen when selecting the shows to watch. Sent an email to support but they never responded.

This app is the slowest ever to open. And when open it is prone to freeze or just pop out. Takes great patience and perseverance to use. If the shows weren’t so good, I would avoid this app at all costs! With the new update, this app is 100% faster and more stable!!

Looks good from any angle and the slides are put together very nicely. Try watching Timeless..it is a great show.

Really annoying when streaming a show. The show will play only several minutes and gets interrupted mid-sentence to break to another 6 commercials. This app has so many commercials that it take 1hr 15min to watch a 1 hour show. NEEDS WORK

You would think the NBC app would work beautifully on Xfinity/Comcast since they own NBC. The picture freezes, turns fuzzy and is frequently pixilated. Others, like Netflix, can deliver a smooth experience why can't NBC? Did anyone test this before it was released? I skipped the Olympics because it was unwatchable. Don't bother taking up any storage space with this app until they get their act together.

Great for when you can't watch your shows or to catch up.

Im glad that nbc has an app where i can watch my shows if im not able to see them when theyre on tv or especially when I am watching Days of Our Lives and there is a special news announcement.

As a viewer who generally watches NBC on regular TV, I've found this app to be MUCH more easy to deal with due to significantly less commercials and those that do come up are far shorter. Thanks!

This app crashes constantly. So surprised that a network TV app would perform so poorly. Get it together!

Terrible app. Don't waste your time or effort here. Last yr. it use to work just fine even w/o having to sign in. Can't get any show to play at all. They just can't seem to get their act together at NBC.

2-3 minutes of commercials that you are unable to fast forward through and the 30sec of the voice and then back to 2-3min of commercials! Ridiculous! I understand someone has to get paid by these commercials but allow an option to fast forward and play the whole dam show not bits and pieces! Thought this would be a good option to catch up on the VOICE, but not even close! I would give it a zero if I had the option!

I downloaded the app to watch Jesus Christ Superstar (2018 version) since I missed it the day it aired. I was able to watch it for no charge. Loved that I could skip back a few seconds at a time for stuff I missed and could pause it as long as needed!! I skipped back twice one time and thought I would get stuck rewatching the same commercials I just saw but a commercial popped up 1/2 a second and went away straight to the show!! I see they have the app set to realize when you already "been there done that" commercial lol. My other tv app will make you watch more commercials (same ones repeatedly and if you skip back or fast forward the same ones again) on way shorter shows than this app made me watch on this very long musical so I was pleasantly surprised!! I hope all my future app watching experiences go as well as they did this first time!

Love it , just has problems crashing

Always get a “video error” when trying to use this.

Worked great for a couple weeks and now I have been getting an “error” message when live streaming. It said to report it if the problem continues. I have. Multiple times. Still not working!!

App was great, for the longest time. Then about 4 weeks ago, I cannot get my provider to link. Even after deleting and reinstalling the app, with the automatic will you allow “xyz provider” to link automatically. I said yes, I have said no. No matter when I try to access a locked show it will ask me to link my provider, I click to do so and it goes back to the menu again. Worst service on top of this is, I have emailed them twice with no reply.

I have only just started using it, but so far so good. Thank you NBC.

Even though I get frozen up on the shows manifest and new Amsterdam are awesome I hope to see more episodes very soon

This app needs serious work. The live stream is a major issue. It frequently has errors and will not work.

I can chromecast YouTube, Netflix, but still nbc does not work after the update. Please fix! My tv displays now casting but it’s not casting. This app is the only problem! Everything was working fine before, why do you guys keep messing with the app. So don’t respond, it just confirms my truth.

Was working fine until you “fixed” it. Now all I get is video error try again later. I watched every morning with no issues but the past 2 months I have been unable to use anything and I’ve sent messages with no response. It’s been over 2 months!

Please fix the live tv feature on the app for Apple TV . It takes forever to come up and sometimes doesn’t work and you have to constantly close the app out for it to work.

I love the app and my favorite show Supper Store has four seasons. But, what really bothers me is that I can't watch the second season because I have to sign in. I get really frustrated when I am going to watch the show and then it stops in the middle of the show and an add pops up! I enjoy the app but it could use some serious improvements.

I like the idea of the app - with my cable provider, I can watch my shows on the go - but it’s not very good in action. The program freezes every minute or so, then starts up again about 20 seconds further into the show ... and you CANNOT go back to view the section that was skipped. The player will continue to skip over those parts, no matter what you do. The ads, though, play perfectly without skipping.

Some of my most favorite prime time shows are on when I’m not at home. Because of this app I’m able 2 watch them when I’m on the go!

I solely downloaded this app so that I could watch Miami Vice before finals week, having left all five seasons at home (so I would not be distracted away at college). I was happy with how easy it was to navigate the app and find what I was looking for, and I love how simple it is to use. It is an incredible app and I am so happy I downloaded it- I very highly recommend it! :)

Trying to watch a show that I missed. You have to download their app to watch it. Then you have to enter your Internet service provider which is Cox Cable. Then a message comes up and says - this channel is not included in my subscription. (?!). It’s NBC? It is included. Because we USED TO (past tense) chill watch a few of their television shows. Buh bye!!! Sad NBC....

It’s very slow when opening app. I was very excited when the LIVE TV feature showed up on the app, but it rarely works. Hoping it’s glitches that their developers are aware of.

I have the iPhone X so when this app is in landscape modes it fill the whole screen and the image is cropped and it cuts the top and bottom half, making it hard to watch videos. Please fix this

“It’s a always fun when we get to watch a little TV between commercials.” - my husband to me as we are trying to watch a show from the middle of the episode. Most times if we don’t finish an entire episode, the app does not save our place (or saves somewhere mid-episode, but not where we actually are). If I am casting to the TV from my phone, most times there is no progress bar on my phone for me to change where we are so I have to disconnect from the TV to find my spot and then re-cast. Every time I slide the progress bar in the episode we have to re-watch a whole round of commercials. Just now, it took about 15-20 minutes (and multiple whole commercial breaks) just to get to our last watched spot. We watched about a minute of the show and then were blasted with another break of commercials. Once we finish this season of the show we’re watching, we’re done with this app for good.

I just loved it. I saw and have the album of 1973 JCSS. I can sing almost every word. Everyone did a fabulous job. I wish I was there but thank you NBC for having it on for us and Easter Sunday.

I can’t even log in my credentials without the app crashing on me every time. The developers really need to update and fix this app. I can’t watch my shows at all. I’m lucky if I get through an entire episode without it crashing on me...HORRIBLE

Unable to load content, what’s the point?

The app constantly crashes...it buffers forever...what kind of technology, if you want to call it that, does NBC have? You need to look to the UK with our apps being superior to any of yours...we are way ahead in technology...

The captions automatically turn on and there’s no way to get them off. Very annoying. Besides that it’s great!

This is the slowest, glitchiest, most unstable app I ever had. You would think that NBC could afford something more decent.

Too restrictive in being able to watch live feeds from either Sling or Direct TV Now

This app freezes, cuts of randomly during live stream and you have to restart for it to occur after 3 more minutes. This seems to be a common theme for months, is no one reading the reviews and fixing the issues? Seems not. It’s gotten worse! I’ll move on and watch ABC instead.

The app was doing good even though loading slowly, but after the last update, live feed keeps giving video errors.
