Constantly have to login...and sometimes it gives an error code that I’m not recognized with the account. I can login to my cable app and all the other individual apps with the exception of Showtime. Obviously issues exit.

Server error. Server error. Server error. Nothing but server error messages. Can't even register.....*** update after finally registered. They refused my email address until I gave them a more common one. I use blur. When I tried my blur email. It simply said server error. Rather than telling me what they actually wanted to do. Which was give them information they could track on registration rather than doing what every other provider in the world does....NOT REQUIRE REGISTRATION...JUST TV CREDENTIALS... needless to say I deleted app and data and will never use this app to stream.

If you say to go to help then your responses are automated and not done by a real person. Cannot login ios spectrum. It will not allow the login. Do not say to go to the help site, give a human answer. The help site is a joke

Update 4: Months later this app is still not fixed. WHY CAN WE NOT USE A PASSWORD MANAGER TO LOG INTO YOUR APP — STILL?? You’ve known about this issue for a year! How long does it take to make it possible to paste user I.D. and passwords into the appropriate fields?? Update 3: Now can’t get to the login screen at all. Suggestions for app rename... SHOWTIME NoTime. Or, SHOWTIME Never. Update 2: I spoke with Showtime Customer Service and explained the issue many users, including me, were having logging in. I asked the Customer Service rep, who was genuinely interested and concerned, to please check the dozens of reviews here that detailed the experiences of users unable to log into the app. As a result, they escalated the issue. The Technical Team at Showtime have isolated the issue: pasting user credentials using a password manager causes logins to fail. Manually typing your UserID and password works. I added stars to my review to recognize Showtime’s great customer service — and will ad more stars once they enable copy and paste into UserID and password fields so that we may use password managers with the app. Update: Deleted cookies and website data and it’s still not working! Your customers have been complaining about this issue for years. Do a google search and you’ll find this issue has confounded your customers since the app’s inception. ==== Like so many other users, I’m constantly being logged out, and then I’m unable to log back in. After entering my TV provider credentials, which are correct, I receive a blank TV provider authentication screen. Frustrating since I pay for Showtime. This is been an ongoing problem with this app for years. Developers steadfastly refused to fix it. I’ll have to reevaluate my relationship with Showtime going forward. Are use several other television apps and none of them are problematic like this one.

It seems that every time I want to use this, I’ve been signed out. The problem is that, then it’s a huge pain to sign back in. A few times it has worked as it should but mostly not. The screen on my appletv says go to showtime anytime.com/activate and enter the code, but when you do that, there is literally no area to enter the code. It tells you to open the app and do it there! Why don’t they just tell you to use the app in the first place instead of giving you the runaround?! Then I go to the app, enter my Directv login and get an error message every time. That last part may be Directv’s fault, but Showtime still has a horrible process.

Like many other reviews, this app will not authenticate my U-verse account membership. It gets a “Bad request” error when trying to log in.

This is the only streaming app that logs me out. Then, half the time you try to log back in, you get a server error. Terrible

Every time I use this app on my Amazon TV, I had to reactive it using a new activation code! This is beyond annoying. It’s the point of having the app not having to log in each time so you can earache why you want when you want? I love the shows and movies but this app leaves a lot to be desired.

Try to use the app on my Apple TV but I first need to connect through my tv provider. No problem right? They all want you to do that. Except this app doesn’t do anything after I enter my username and password for my account. Just refresh and expect me to enter the same information over and over until I go insane. I only watch Ray Donovan so I’ll just watch the episodes on cable and cancel showtime when it’s done.

This update logged me out and it won’t let me log back in with Xfinity. When I log in, it doesn’t recognize that I already subscribe to showtime. I click ‘add to my plan’ and it checks and then says I’m ready to watch but I can’t proceed. Hitting back brings me to the App Store and when I reopen it I’m back where I started and not logged in.

I have tried off and on over the last year ago to use this app and to date I have yet to make it work! Logging in with Charter “Spectrum” and my password is incorrect or I need a different user to log in or even send a code to a computer. NONE work! Garbage. Clearly Showtime doesn’t care since all the reviews say the same.

the fact that you force viewers download this app just to connect their TV provider to the apple TV app is ridiculous.

I’ve been trying to log in using my service provider and it continuously kicks me back to log in. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the app and the problem keeps happening. It would be great if the app would stop logging me off in the first place.

Constantly making me reactivate my AppleTV but can’t easily do it from my iPhone. I have to delete the app from my AppleTV and then reinstall it, click “don’t allow” for my cable provider, and then use the mobile app on my phone (which I don’t want on my phone) to active my AppleTV. SUCH. A. HASSLE. And it’s been an issue FOREVERRRRRRRRR!!!! FIX THIS PLEASE!!!!!!!!!! I already pay too much for Showtime and this is making me want to cancel it.

Constantly being logged out every few weeks. BUT NOW I cannot log back in using my TWC/Spectrum id. Odd because I have no problem logging into HBO or other cable apps but Showtime is NOT working. The help page on the website is not helpful nor is chatting with a rep who had me delete & reload app after I had already done that several times. Then he wanted the model # of all my devices w/the app Last month all was working fine. The app is messed up. Please fix it

Hardly any new movies available. Series are only reason I watch SHTTV, but....Current series, not actually current. You can do better! Sometimes I watch boxing.

The app keeps logging me out. It’s essentially useless. And when i try to watch showtime on Roku, I’m directed to a website to activate that is dead, and which directs me to the mobile app which doesn’t allow me to sign in.

I like the app but there's no full screen option on iPhone Xs. The video display is the size of a smaller phone.

The app itself is full screen but all videos are tiny and not formatted for smartphones. As a result all video content doesn’t look right on the iPhone X or iPhone 8 Plus. Netflix and HBO Go both show video content that fills the screen and looks much better. Crossing my fingers they fix this with an update.

Since i am being forced to login through the app with my tv provider instead online. The login never always work! Always end up with a bad request error page! Just a waste!!

I’ve been logged out several times and upon trying to Authenticate or Activate my subscription the page says it can’t be found or load through my provider. I’ll consider canceling and trying the HBO package at this point since the app doesn’t bounce you out like this and runs authentication smoothly.

I have tried everything I know but cannot resolve this problem. Showtime anytime will not load onto my Apple TV. Each time I go through the activation process, it says it’s activated but it will not work. The only way I can watch Showtime is by mirroring through another handheld device. That’s just crap.

I can’t get through 10 minutes of a downloaded show and the app keeps crashing and logging me off. Not a good experience. When will you fix the app?

I download a movie, and then can’t watch it because “I haven’t been online in a while” ?!? Wow what a great feature. You should probably k*** it immediately or take away the downloading option.

Like many others, this app refuses to log me in. When attempting to log in, the app redirects me to my cable provider’s (Spectrum) log in page. After entering my credentials and clicking the “Sign In” button, the password field clears out and I’m back to square one. I’ve attempted deleting/reinstalling the app and resetting my phone, all to no avail. In short, this app is useless.

I used to be able to login with my TV provider but showtime always logs me out and now I can’t log in at all anymore...on my phone...on Apple TV. Doesn’t matter...this is an absolute failure of an app design and it’s embarrassing that your dev team can’t fix this.

I wanted to watch a show on Showtime on my Apple TV, but it is requiring me to sign in, ONCE AGAIN. It gave me an activation code, and told me to go to showtimeanytime.com/activate, to continue. Once there, it then tells me I have to download the app, then I can continue to sign in. Since I already have the app on my phone, it prompts me to log into my cable provider, which I do, and then nothing !!!!!! I have tried this several times to no avail. Why must I go through the iPhone app, to activate the channel on Apple TV? The same thing happened more than a month ago, and I chalked it up to the site being down. So after all this time, this issue still persists. I am so tired of jumping through hoops to watch something I pay for every month. I am seriously considering switching to another premium channel, and telling Showtime to take a hike.

I had to download this app because I got logged out of showtime on my fire stick. When I went to the website to enter my code, it wouldn’t let me and said I needed to authenticate through this app. So I downloaded it. And every time I try to login, it spins for a bit and then says there has been a server connection error. So frustrating to require you to use an app that doesn’t work to authenticate a completely different device.

Click on sign in. Before I can enter my information an error message immediately appears, “ERROR NOT AVAILABLE OK”. No problem on my Mac. Fix this Showtime!

Pure and simple they ruined it. A wast of time to download it. Can’t even login.

I didn’t want this app for my phone or tablet but rather I was trying to use the app through my fire stick and in order to activate Showtime Anytime, I was forced to download the app to my phone so I could activate through here. Needless to say, this didn’t work either since the option to activate, which is supposed to be in settings, doesn’t exist as stated. In this day when most people do everything through phones and tablets the need to have to get out the laptop to activate a device is really outdated.

The process for accessing your streaming service STINKS. I don’t have to register separately on theIr website for any other TV channel NOR do I have to have different usernames for each device. RIDICULOUS!!

Same problems as most. Constantly logging me out and asking me to activate my device again. Then I have to download their app on my phone to do it. Won’t let you activate the device from a browser.

When I log in with my PS Vue credentials, I see a small gray box that says “login successful” but then the box doesn’t close out and I can’t actually access the app in a logged in state.

Haven’t been able to sign into the app for going on 2 months now. Cable provider says first ‘they’re fixing the problem’ then ‘not our problem’. Only thing left to do is cancel the service. No point in paying for, or even supporting an outfit whose content I can’t access on a tablet or such.

This APP worked for me, but that is all that it does. Who needs a 30 second rewind? How about a +10 and -10 like HBO has. No download capability either. This needs a lot of updating. Horrible app overall.

I'd probably rate the app better than a one, if it would let me use it. When I install the app and tap login, it asks if I want to use my cable provider that's stored in Apple's system. Great, it doesn't work though. Takes me to the choose provider screen. So I chose Spectrum, log in, and... it takes me right back to the login screen. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. Tried deleting and reinstalling, then choosing not to use the provider in Apple's system, then just log in, but same result. It just keeps making me sign in indefinitely. What's worse is that I can't even get my Roku TV's app to work either because I need to sign into the app on my iPhone to link the TV. You can't sign in via Safari on the iPhone, it just tells you to install the app... so, yep... useless. Can't watch Showtime except through my DVR, so I don't get the"Anytime" part. It's been like this for months and I finally decided to write something about it because it's absurd it's still doing it. I may update this review if it ever actually works. Update: Chatted with support online, who basically made me walk through steps I've already tried over and over again. He even told me to try the Showtime app out which doesn't make sense since I have a cable login. He finally forwarded my issue to tech support, and I got an email with my request number. About an hour later, I get a follow-up email saying that my request has been resolved and I never even talked with anyone else. Ugh. Ridiculous. Still can't use this app.

Love their original series Ray Donovan is my favorite but so many others I can’t list you gotta check them out yourself!!The movie section has some of the very best !!

Worst app. Doesn’t work. Get through verification screen with all s***** robot protection verifications, Telstra me welcome and shows I’m logged in but doesn’t give me any other options. Have to relogin every10 15 days

Unable to use this app as I can’t log in using my Spectrum account.

Dear Showtime, please fix your app. I can't login with my Directv account and correct password. It always says I have the wrong password. I have tried everything and I still can't login. I pay for the service. Terrible. Used to work great.

I downloaded the app so I can catch up on some missed episodes. The problem is I have never been able to log in to get my account activated. I try to watch on the app through my TV and it says I have to sign in on my phone. So if you miss an episode too bad so sad. You can never watch it!
