One of the best apps

I mean when I saw the reviews on this app I was so excited cuz I thought it was going to be great so I downloaded it and I have waited 40 minutes!!!!!!!!(not exaggerating I swear.) For the movies to pop up but it just says *loading* like common this is bull shizz. Please like seriously!😒😒😒😞😞😤🤬

I love Plex for it’s beautiful organization and easy to use interface. Having almost all my media in one place has always been the dream and Plex has done that for me (for about 80% - still missing native audiobook support and support for eBooks). Having full control of my own personal media cloud and server has been incredible. The movie and show ratings from Rotten Tomato are awesome and being able to watch a trailer of something is convenient if someone wants a quick synopsis. I love being able to put all our childhood videos converted from VHS on my own cloud and give access to my family to see any of the embarrassing and amazing home videos anytime. ***DEVS: Would love to see a audio only version for Apple Watch for streaming or offline usage to listen to podcasts, music, audiobooks - Audible does this now which has been amazing. Being able to listen to Plex media with only a watch and bluetooth headphones would be a game changer. Also native audiobook support and support for eBooks would basically round out any media needs I could possible want to have in one app! Love what the Plex teams does and always looking to see what they’ve recently added. More than happy to be a part of the Plex Pass Lifetime member. Keep up the amazing work!

I don’t know if this is caused by a chrome cast update or a Plex update but nothing casts to chrome cast anymore. When I go to a movie it will not mirror it on the screen, only say “ready to cast” and then when I play it will say “Loading, playback will begin in a moment” and then after a minute or so “Sorry! Something went wrong.” Doesn’t matter what movie I try to play, rebooted chromcast, rebooted Linux box, both updated to latest versions. Other apps cast fine still, only Plex fails.

12/2018 UPDATED REVIEW - Now worthless! PLEX removed the cloud streaming function 11/30/18. No longer can you put media files on google drive or Dropbox and stream them remotely thru PLEX to your Apple TV/fire stick/phone/iPad. PLEX is terrific at making your home video library organization look pretty on your computer screen or mobile device for in home WiFi play off your home storage device. The in-home version is fine if you don’t mind keeping whatever computer your server is established on up and running constantly... although playback is choppy at time because the media is streamed from storage to computer to device (doubles the data’s on the WiFi system which can be overloading). Outside your front door it’s useless - remote cloud server viewing is gone. PLEX is otherwise becoming a service to stream third party media, a middle man, which I don’t need. RECOMMENDATION: Try Infuse 5 for streaming your video content from cloud servers like google or Dropbox (set up is easy, not quite as fancy as PLEX but playback is MUCH more reliable); try CloudBeats for music from cloud servers.

The software updates have broken key features, such as syncing. In most instances, the iOS device can not sync and will not stream from a server. Many of the client software is flawed and does not work. The website may work, but cannot download content for offline playback. This is highly problematic for paid software and those paying for memberships. Hopefully this issue will be fixed. The last several updates have not addressed it.

Make “all tv shows” or “all movies” the default like it was

I bought the $5 version of this app and it can not remember that I bought it.

I like this so much though I didn’t need I bought Plex subscription for life to pay for what they worth. Only issue I have is some reason my pics that are uploaded or on the server won’t load as good as movies that I have copied to same drive. Photo will take ever to load and truly I own flex for 6 months and never was able to view even a single photo. I know they are working on Video playing hope they will look in the photos issue as well.

It constantly crashes or freezes up. With the last update before this fixed most of that. Brand new update and it crashes or freeze more then it has before and have to restart the app to get it to work at all. Like the app just wish is more stable and you don’t have to worry about it messing up anytime you load back into it while a movie is playing.

I bought the Plex Pass thinking I could talk to someone when I had problems. No such luck. Just have to search forums for solutions. Sometimes my play lists show up. Sometimes they don't. Although I have everything synced to my phone, it sometimes thinks I have to have an internet connection. Can't seem to have find a reason for either. Also, it's not good using a Chromecast Audio. Sometimes you can't even shut the music off. Admittedly, the last issue might be part of a Chromecast issue. Either way, if I could just get support, I might not be so down on it.

I loved Plex. Used it for years. I’m a lifetime subscriber. Then the latest update did away with the plugins. The one feature that I use on a daily basis. The one feature that I became a lifetime member for. It’s gone. Plex is now useless to me.

PLEX does what iTunes should do. It makes all my media on my home server available on any platform anywhere. I've got it on my iPhone, my iPad, two macs, 3 Apple TV's, a Roku TV. a Sony Bravia smart TV. I can listen to MY entire collection in my phone....outside...at the gym...on the road. There's the rub, needs integrating with cars that allow iPod control from their nav systems for hands-free use; needs to be on CarPlay. But all this is possible for music, movies (non-DRM protected), and TV shows (ditto DRM limitation). I have EyeTV and capture my TV off the air to my Mac and process them to iTunes. This app does not use iTunes to get to the media but goes right to the folders where it is located. iTunes needn't be on the host machine. This will also work with a NAS. My stuff where and when I want it. Perfect!!! ============= 4/12/2017 Addendum OK, big problem, frequently new music added to the PLEX server only shows up on ATV4 as a cover. When you select the cover on Apple TV you get a blank screen with the album name and date but no tracks. Others on the forum are having the same problem but none of us have a fix that works. These tracks show up in every other app (iphone/iPad/Mac...even Roku) but not in the Apple TV app. PLEX has NO factory support. They leave it all to forums so when their software IS THE PROBLEM ... there is no recourse and no place to go. Changing from 5 stars to 2 until PLEX fixes THEIR problem. =============== 12/21/2018 Addendum PLEX needs a music only app for CarPlay with search and scroll capabilities appropriate for the road....ideally with voice command capability. The “perfect” music player for CarPlay simply does not yet exist. Desperately needed !!!

Loved this app for 3 years and then greed took over in Nov 2018 and now the server and app are worthless. They got rid of all the customization and easy to navigate interface. Now it is just a copy of Apple, Microsoft, or any other movie GUI. Emby is the new favorite.

just playing remote content is a pretty basic feature. I would like to be able to control the playback speed.

Plex is probably the worst app on my iPhone, and I got about 80 apps installed. I am a lifetime member and I fear I made a great mistake putting my trust in Plex. Oh my god, they seem to try so hard but they just can’t get it right. Update after update, almost every week and yet the app is incredible bad. Here are some of my greatest complaints: - I can not play synced content on my iPhone if there is no (or very slow) internet connectivity. The content is categorised as being on my iPhone and yet it is marked as “offline”. How is that possible? Somehow it works after I try a couple of times but it is a terrible hassle to get it to work! - The content is not very well organised. There is “News” and “Podcasts” and other stuff. Really? Who needs it? Guys: People use Plex to organise their own media content. Surely they have other ways of watching the news. Why not just try to get right what you claim to be and THEN expand? - The app is slow and sluggish. Sometimes it takes five seconds to get a response. I get an iPhone 8. It should be fast enough for Plex. - I get about 4000 Songs in my media library (all purchased content btw.). When syncing most of the time it gets stuck on 99%. I never get notified what’s the problem and why it can’t sync all the content. - (This concerns the Apple TV app, which is not much better): Apple TV is connected via LAN cable to the router. My media server is connected via LAN cable to a brand new, high end router. Yet, towards the end of any movie the wonderful Plex app keeps informing me that my network is not “fast enough to stream the content” or similar BS. I know for a fact that this is not true, yet, since the very beginning, several routers, different servers, always I do get this false notification. - (This concerns the Apple TV app, which is not much better): The navigation within the app is confusing as hell. I am not a s***** man, but this app is a mess. Sometime the same click leads you to different places. It is hard to explain, just try it, you will see what I mean. Also there are the categories you I set up and then there is “Playlists” which includes ALL playlists. May they be Music or Movies or whatever. Guys, why not keep the “Music Playlists” in the Music category and the “Movie Playlist” (who needs that, btw?) in the “Movie Category”? There are more points of criticism, but I don’t want to waste any more time. I now have to spend some time looking for a Plex alternative. Goodbye.

I travel a lot, and this app allows me to relax in hotels and watch my local tv shows and movies when I want. I’ve used the app for a couple years now and never had an issue. New DVR and channel display features are really nice. Can’t say enough good things about Plex.

I’ve used and loved Plex since XBMC was a thing on first generation Xbox hardware, I think! I don’t care for some of the decisions made in recent history but I’ll be filing those as requests but the thing that drives me bananas right now is this: PLEASE ADD A CARPLAY VIEW FOR OUR MUSIC AND POSCASTS😂

The new UI is confusing and makes my library harder to navigate. I’ve used Plex over a year and the older UI layout was smoother. I started using plex to organize my media library for my children’s and my wife’s use. Now my children can’t find the showed they want to watch. Please return to the original mobile and Roku layouts please.

And fortunately for you, that UI is now on virtually every platform! It barely functions now. Most of the time it doesn’t function whatsoever. Who decided this was a good idea, and can I get some of the drugs they’re on?

I love Plex. I use it on my Apple TV and my iPad Pro all the time. I’ve got my library on a WD MyCloud. My only gripe is when I fast-forward through a video, it doesn’t let me scan the video as I go (like you can do on Netflix and Hulu, for example). I’d love if you could improve this!

It works fine for me I don't have to pay for any movie and there is no crashes or glitches

I’m honestly confused about the negative reviews about the latest update... it works fine for me and I actually like the new UI. If you haven’t used Plex before, DON’T LISTEN TO ALL THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS!! These are the type of people who struggle with technology in general and probably still have an iPhone 4s... the new update works great on my iPhone XS Max, Roku Ultra, Roku Stick+, Apple TV, Chromecast... the list could go on. I literally tried to replicate the issues that some of these people described and could not. I don’t work for Plex and I wasn’t paid to say this—just a long time Plex Pass holder.

Used to be good, now crashes on start

The previous update broke the app. After updating to the newest version, it still had the same issues. Just delete the app and reinstall. Fixed.

Do you guys test these updates prior to a release? As soon as I login the app crashes. Version 5.9 EPIC FAIL

This app is my go-to app for watching videos, so, I want to give it five stars, and I wish I could give it another half star because it's that good. There's only one small complaint, and I hope the developers are reading this, because I know I'm not the only one that has mentioned this flaw. Please let us access our playlists from the home screen! It's more of an inconvenience than anything, but, I have to find the part of the library that the playlist is in, then the section, then the playlist. I know, it's a very minor inconvenience, and it used to be on the home screen, but I feel it would make this a five star app. Other than that, I can access all of my videos from my server anywhere I am and the quality is fantastic.

For a “technical” product/service to have zero tech support is a joke. You can browse guides or hope someone on a forum can help you (no, not a plex employee, some random person that might be familiar with your issue), and that’s it. They’ll take your money if you choose to support their product, but they won’t support you while using it.

I absolutely love Plex! but now when I try to sign in it kicks me off! I can’t get onto my account!!! Please fix this!!!

New update can not connect to server. Have no problems connecting to any smart tv and no issues through fire sticks. Only the iOS app has connection issue

On my AppleTV I can rarely ever get the audio to work through HomePods. Sometimes a kabuki dance of quitting the app and selecting/deselecting HomePods will work but not always.

I love this app but theirs just no good move copy’s like a star is born or venom I love those movies their just aren’t any good copy’s of them so ask people to make some please

I absolutely love being able to watch movies from my own media server. Plex makes it a seamless experience. The only feature I would want is being able to sync only a portion of certain chapters or specific time range of a movie. I am typically watching only about 30 minutes of the media offline. I feel like it would be beneficial to have this feature mostly if I don't have a lot of time to wait for the transcode. I'll restate, there is no other media server that can compete with Plex.

The last couple of versions are very buggy and keep saying that I do not have plex pass even though I am a lifetime subscriber. This makes the app almost useless since I cannot use sync.

Multiple updates later and still not even able to be opened successfully. Let alone used on iPhone Xs

I usually don't leave feedback regarding updates, but I must in this case... I'm a big fan of Plex, and mainly use it on Roku and IPad. I am extremely disappointed that the watch later feature was discontinued recently AGAIN which I used everyday! It was helpful to browse tv plugins on the iPad and add episodes to watch later......to then watch later on the roku....since the roku has NEVER had this feature since Plex was born. Please bring back the watch later feature asap, and please add this feature to Roku too! Also, I am happy with the new podcasts feature but would love a listen later feature for that too! I do not like the webisodes feature and don’t care to see it but there is no way to remove it? Still need tweaking with customization options. Plex is fantastic overall, but I'm giving 3 stars this time, because an update should not keep subtracting from the user enjoyment. Common sense says make things more user customizable, so people can choose what they want to keep and get rid of what they don’t want to see....and with as few clicks as possible too! Please fix what is lacking now, but once was there to enjoy.....for the 2nd time!!!

Loving the new update Plex made for the iOS, tvOS and PlayStation 4. Haven’t yet seen the new update for my Samsung Smart TV, but I won’t doubt it looks very similar. The whole new experience is dope and you guys fixed the AirPlay issue so now I can cast to PS4 and tv more streamlined than ever before, as well as the entire software. This update is really good. Five stars Plex. Keep up with the maintenance.

You can’t watch any of your content without paying $5 once per device or getting the “Premium” pass for $5 a month forever.

I’ve been using this app for years and with the recent major (absolutely unnecessary) update the developers have effectively ruined the experience. Simply shuffling a library, once easy and accessible on the home screen, is now buried. Customization is limited to what is unneeded and leaves out what most users want. The developers seem to be unaware or unwilling to admit or see their mistakes. The old Plex wasn’t broke - they shouldn’t have tried to fix it. We want it back.

Difficult to create a standard look to find content. Drives my wife. Crazy. Any help out there?

Great alternative against of the public streaming. Needs notifications for podcasts. Please!

Constantly updating on all platforms for the client. Updates that bring more bugs and headaches. Just stabilize what you have first before changing the UI.

Overly complicated. Very buggy. Features touted don’t always work. Inconsistent at best. Air video which I had before this was easy to use and rock solid. If this only worked consistently with basic functionality it’d be fantastic and 5 stars. Lack of decent support lowers this to 2 stars. Probably better options out there but they already have my money. Disappointing.

I would give this no stars if I could. All I want this thing to do is show the video categories I’ve organized on my server—as I ordered them. As it is, I can’t find anything

I was in a early user of EyeTV software. Unfortunately, the software fell apart for users a couple of years ago. Plex is a successful replacement. It’s not exactly perfect, but it is improving greatly, over time. I just wish you could manually edit video files, within the program. I also miss not being able to record from a keyword search. But, all in all, I am back in business recording over the air. Using the Plex server in a Synology box has greatly improved the Plex process. Highly recommended.

Unable to connect to media server after latest update. Created a new server and it doesn’t even register that it is there on the app.

Really wish I could watch something without it failing halfway. That or get my b***** money back from this incompetent company.

I’ve been a long time Plex user and subscribe to Plex Pass. For years I’ve recommend this app to watch your own content. The recent UI update that hit not only iOS, but other channels is unusable, buggy and removed functionality that extended its capabilities. If they don’t roll it back, I’ll be looking for another app.

Wow. How the mighty have fallen. In one update Plex went from one of my favorite apps to one of my most hated. It’s clear the devs don’t care about their loyal fanbase anymore. Way to ruin a great thing. Emby here I come!

Most people when they open Plex want to click on the library they want and choose the show or movie from the list. Why do the devs have to make everything so difficult with this cluster of an app? The iOS app developers are clueless and have broken this app. Plex needs to fire everybody on this team and bring in a whole new crew. Plex 4.29 was amazing. They ruined it with 5.0. Stay away!

This new update can’t find my play queue for any of my playlist. The last update worked fine but now?? They need this new update corrected and quick!!

This app was my MOST useful application. Now, it is so bad I literally can not use it. New interface resulted in losing access to all of my local media with no obvious way of fixing it. My kids will never find the playlists we’ve made now. 11 button clicks. Really? Are you turning into Boxee?

The perfect companion for plex media server.

Works fine but doesn't remember my playback position. I often have to manually find the location I ACTUALLY stopped in the movie. If I continue playback on my computer after watching on my phone, no problem. But the phone never seems to pick up when another device has been used to play more of the video. This was never a problem in the Android version.

Let me start by saying I love Plex the app and all of the possibilities it has and are working on. Let me finish by saying I hate the new IOS design. Please bring back the old design

I upgraded to ver. 5.8 on my new iPad Pro 11.9” and I cannot sign in. The app keeps crashing after i enter my pin.

It’s amazing I love it

My setup at home is an 27” Asus ROG monitor with my iPad Pro connected to it via USB-C. When I use Plex, it properly displays out to the external monitor and is using the full screen instead of just mirroring my iPad display. This is great! However, other apps like Infuse 5 and Twitch allow you to use the app on the iPad to be ran in splitscreen. This gives you the ability to have a video playing full screen on your monitor, 1/3 of the iPad screen to be the app playing the media, and the 2/3 of the iPad screen can be used for whatever you want. I’m hoping they release an update for this soon. Being able to watch shows/movies on my external monitor while I multitask on my iPad screen would be great!

The search will search every thing on all servers, that’s less useful then just searching for what I want. If I’m looking for a song it will pull movies and podcasts on other servers, I might as well just look in my own library by hand it quicker and I can at least make sure it’s filtered by the content type, it would be nice to see some way to set a filter on search. Also better support for grouping various artists albums, right now it seems to always group by artist then album.

I'm TRYING to figure out how my go to PLEX CLIENT, while I gave a seemingly ATV 4K HDR with an insanely powerful A10X chip but then the lack of mkv support caused the need for a demux of 10 bit HEVC that my QNAP NAS drive's Intel Bay Trail 15W TDP CPU (w/basically Intel 3000 HD) just couldn't handle. Meanwhile I also bought a PS4 Pro hoping that despite it stating no support for HEVC, but wondered if the because the GPU "based on Polaris architecture" and the clock bump to 2.1Ghz, it might someday get a software update to leverage a hybrid decode of 10 bit HEVC. Well... suddenly my PS4 Pro is playing low bitrate 1080p 10 bit HEVC and my Apple TV suddenly was no longer causing my NAS CPU to spike to 99% and is so low I can only figure some updates from either INTEL or PLEX are allowing direct stream and demuxing in some way it's now like having hardware acceleration and no decompressing of any 10 bit HEVC 1080p MKV w/AAC 5.1-7.1 attempts by my Linux based NAS suddenly? Unfortunately over Thanksgiving I drug my trusty Roku Ultra was unnecessarily requiring my NAS transcode every 10 bit HEVC movie? I tried EVERYTHING and I had finally try a Force Direct Play to stop it! I tried two different Vizio 1080p Smart TVs and a 46" Samsung 1080p LED and ALL required I transcode all 10Bit 1080p HEVC material!? Then I switched from "auto" to "force" Direct Play my CPU dropped back to the 5-7% I'd been used to until now?! I even have to force one Vizio with SRS abilities to Dolby Digital and k*** the "auto" detect as well?! Meanwhile my Apple 4K HDR and PS4 Pro can at least suddenly can PLAY lower bitrate 10Bit 1080p AAC or AC3 5.1-7.1 MKV without hitting my CPU anymore? Should I be grateful two devices are doing things they previously could not with my weak Bay Trail QNAP NAS PLEX server or be upset that whatever they did, the Roku app is NOT okay. I tried everything. FORCING Direct Play was only way to Remote Stream over the holidays. Sadly it's been a few months not using it to know when or how this change occurred?

Designed to be simple but garbage. I’m linked to two servers and I can’t find them. Keeps wanting to “get started”. Plex needs to step up their game.

You plex company shouldn’t take an hour to get service started or to respond to people when trying to get an account started. You all need to get on a ball and get rolling quicker because me and my husband is still waiting. Either get it going or refund my MONEY NOW. Yeah I’m not very happy with your awful service.

I was THRILLED to see the support for displaying audio track titles in a recent tvOS Plex app release. Today I noticed the same feature has arrived on the iPad version of the app. Thank you thank you thank you! The best app just keeps getting better!

The interface is full of useless lists (‘videos from 2010’, ‘more from...’, etc.) that you cannot get rid of. Syncing to device does not work well. Removing synced content doesn’t always remove it from the device. Playback of music in the background often stops unexpectedly.

I am in love with this application but Last updates made it function and layout is very bad. I hate to open it after the updates

I can't even copy a Playlist from my server into my iPhone anymore. I have to make a new one from scratch.

1st thing’s first: you have to have content in Plex. Which means you need a Plex server somewhere. If you do have content, Plex is the only way you should be watching, streaming, and organizing your content. I use Plex on my Apple TV’s and iPhone when I’m traveling literally hours every single day. I don’t know what I would do without it.

Since the last update the Apple TV app has gotten very glitchy. Playback has to be stopped multiple times because it gets choppy or freezes or gets out of sync. Happens regardless of which video player is used. Will be looking for other options.

The best media library manager and player. Buy a plex pass and support it. Now add Tidal and live TV and never leave the app!

I love Plex, but trying to watch a movie on Apple TV is infuriating. Audio drops and stops AirPlay’ing every 20 minutes and just goes silent. Any file format just working is amazing, but this is pretty much a deal breaker.

For years and years, I’ve hoped the fact that Plex takes money in order to provide a service would make that service improve. Unfortunately, the very basics promised can almost ever reliably be delivered.

Plex just unleashed a surprise update that immediately disconnects Mac users who aren’t updated to current OS. I have Plex on 3 Roku devices and my cellphone. But overnight a few days ago, Plex uploaded its player “update” that now no longer connects to my Plex server. You get error messages saying Plex server needs to be at least 1.1 something or higher — even tho I’m running the current version. Plex is NOT backward compatible for users. You have to upgrade or quit using Plex. Since I have a number of legit reasons for not upgrading, I have to quit Plex and find alternative software. Plex is poor at communicating with its customers, apparently doesn’t test on various software OS versions (or desn’t care), springs surprise updates that aren’t user friendly or intuitive. Avoid this for now — until they figure it out.

The mobile app is a great companion for the Plex server. My only nitpick is that the latest background color on iOS doesn’t do it for me. Maybe a nice OLED black option to make the content pop? Thanks for all your hard work!

Cannot access any of my videos! I have a lifetime membership and have immensely enjoyed Plex for many years. Now however, everything comes up as OFFLINE and I cannot access anything! I updated the app and that didn’t help at all. I am not a happy camper at all. I would give you a no star at all at this point if that were an option. I am able to watch your news clips but that all. My internet works just fine. Nothing else is OFFLINE but PLEX. What’s going on? Are you going out of business? Please fix if you want a better star rating from me!

Even if the current session has ended on the receiver, the app thinks it’s a good idea to start casting again. This is super f***g awesome when right before bed I unlock my phone to the Plex app and my TV turns on, even though I turned of the TV 3 hours ago. This is pathetic.

The app is stuck on my old server... which doesn’t exist. I had to google and sift through the hundreds of angry comments on their forms to figure out how to switch it. Why would they make this so confusing? Why not just a simple drop down?

No matter what Plex always thinks I’m off-line on my iPhone. No problem lately streaming to my TV though.

Why there’s no EQ option for music is bewildering. Other than that, I love it.

This is a great app however I cannot get Plex to launch anymore on iOS 9.3.5

But outside your front door it’s useless - remote server viewing is gone. PLEX is otherwise becoming a service to stream third party media, which I don’t want.

This is my go-to media app for my home media collection. Been using it with a Plex Server for years now. Functionality is fantastic but the interface has gotten cluttered and confusing. They update often so I’m hoping 6.0 version will fix the more recent UI weirdness.

If you learn to utilize Plex and it’s capabilities, it can be a life changer. I have enjoyed it, but my family, wife and 3 kids have truly cherished the capabilities that come with Plex. We have tracked over 3,000 hours on our server.

Don’t waist your money on this. It doesn’t work with Apple devices. When I tried to stream video to my iPad, iPhone or Apple TV, I get the ‘the network connection is to slow’ message. I wasted hours troubleshooting this problem only find out it as the Plex app that was not working! There are free apps available that work!

Great product... love what it has to offer. Incompletely hate the update. The layout is worse than its ever been. I found the previous version far easier to navigate. That being said, I would still recommend this app regardless. Works very well. Just from a user friendly stand point the previous versions was easier to navigate.

Plex hasn’t worked on my iPad Pro in ages as the app simply crashes as soon as I enter my PIN.

No one at Plex seems to think of the elderly when making changes to the interface instead of fixing bugs like subtitles. The changes continue to cause problems for older users with no one at Plex responding to their concerns. Plex does not seem to care about their older users anymore.

The new look of the latest update is not so nice. To many clicks to get to my content. Filled with lots of junk rows that I have to go through and a useless home screen. The tab bar at the bottom is useless if you have more then one folder for each library, example would be two movie folders and two TV show folders. Also the washed out gray background is not so nice as the black.

As the old saying goes, don’t fix it if it ain’t broke. Loved it until this latest update. What are they trying to do? Make it as user unfriendly as possible? Just junk now. The interface is comparable to some unsophisticated piece of junk

Literally don’t know how to find a lot of my content anymore. Been using Plex for years. Can’t find my custom libraries or folders, it’s all lumped together. Got a bad feeling they are scrapping features and this is about to go under. Maybe it’s just bad UI and will improve. Maybe I gotta spend more time figuring it out. Idk man. This major update is not good.

Put in password and app crashes

Used to be free. Now I have to pay to watch my own stuff on my iPad? I don’t think so. Still works fine on an android phone. Why do this???

If paying for Plexpass and plan on syncing content be warned that all syncs performed are transcoded. Causing the sync to fail or at best take forever. Great at streaming though, as long as the settings on the target device is right.
