Not playing videos, the videos freeze while the sound track continues, so there’s an obvious bug in the playback software.

App freezes up if WiFi drops. I have to force quit the app. When I reopen, it doesn’t remember where I left off, making me start at the beginning of the show.

This app is good when it works, though I agree with another reviewer that it should allow you to pick up where you left off in a show instead of restarting. My biggest complaint is that it crashes constantly...or just doesn’t play the show I select. I get a black screen and have to restart several times. Going through a browser is a more reliable way to get content but defeats the purpose of the app. You can do better PBS!

This app was written by and for the geeks who wrote it. The password requirements are far too complicated for a non financial site. There is no touch screen logon. The videos have limited flexibility and don’t support basic video capabilities. It looks like they spent all their time impressing each other with ways to limit passwords and had no time left to provide support to the people actually using the app.

What about a Cast option for a local live stream of the station? I don’t know what’s going on with the Google Cast ability, but it’s complete trash. You can’t cast at least half of the shows. The interface when casting rotated to landscape making it super difficult to control. It continuously disconnects. Show availability is completely dependent on what PBS network you choose. Needs a complete overhaul. A live stream option would be great.

Downloaded app to watch the Great American Read. When I try and watch - I get a black screen.

Latest update 4.1.1, iOS 12 still has Chromecast cast problem ...plays Ad, then never goes back to program!!! Can’t disconnect then reconnect without new ad every time, each time hangs, never goes back to program when casting. Plays fine on device only, but useless to get a program to cast on my Vizio 4K’s big screen

This app is TERRIBLE. I add videos to my “watchlist” and then they mysteriously disappear! They are suddenly not in the “watchlist” after a short period of time has passed.

I LOVE PBS content. But I hate the fact that every minute or so whatever I am streaming skips forward or backward 2 seconds. I can't figure out why or a workaround. It's a bummer because I love that I can watch local and national news on my time as well as my favorite local history shows and BBC shows. I get that it's publicly funded, but this has been an issue for several years now.

Considering PBS is called “public” I find this app horrible in 2 ways. 1. I can’t get videos to play waiting because I have to wait for ridiculous commercials to load before each episode. Sometimes I have to try 4-5 times waiting up to 5 minutes each time to see if the commercial will load so that I can watch the video. The commercial never starts so I restart the app and try again. 2. This play pass stuff is garbage! PBS benefits from public funding from the federal gov. Access should belong to the people since we are forced to pay for it. Yet 90% of the videos require a subscription which costs $$. Ridiculous. The big networks leave content more available than public broadcasting. I’d give 0 stars if I could.
