Although some bugs with reading iTunes music files, overall it's an awesome app for watching videos and photo. Also sometimes the video will have resolution issues as well as legging. Other than that, this app is all good!

Screen still rotates after using the function

I needed a video player to watch training videos. I tried them all. Most had a lot of trouble when skipping forward or backwards. Which is a problem if I missed something in the video. Also, you need to be able to speed up videos. You can easily watch a training video at 1.5x or more. Not only is there an easy to use on screen graphic to control speed, but it remembers the speed I used. The only player that did that. Others video players needed multiple steps to get to the speed adjustment. Between that and so far flawless sink of audio and video when skipping around, this is easily the best app. I would give it 6 stars if they added a favorite icon so I could tag some videos.

Never had an issue. Works great and the developers are quick to fix any bugs they find (but there have not been many). I recommend this app!

Password protect a folder and it’s still easily seen in the file viewer tab. All contents are accessible. Also thumbnails visible of all protected files on iPad Storage info in the Settings app.

Great for all types of videos, love it

The light version does an excellent job playing my MKV. movie files. Therefore I was was happy to move from the light version and buy the paid version to remove the ads and unlock other features. However after paying for and downloading the full version I see that the option to download movies from my home remote network drive has been removed in the paid version. I'm not sure why features are removed when you move from a "lite" version to a paid version? Please add this download feature back in future updates please.

Loved this app...till they removed the ability to download files and store them locally! That was the only reason I bought the app! Holy c*** I'm so frustrated. I have to get on a plane with my son and I can't download his movies. Please tell the world why the h*** you removed this feature!

I love this app, and have paid for most of it extentions. For awhile now skimming through the video would cause the audio to lag behind the video. Others then that everything is great but since I tend to skim through most of my content I can't ignore this audio lag anymore. Otherwise 5/5

The download feature was the reason I use this app. Now that it’s gone, I have to find a new one.

They take features away once in a while and then put them into in-app purchase. Brilliant idea in their favor

I like it because it supports h.286

I use this to replace the useless Apple TV APP. Does everything I need it to do.

It play avi from samba there is no sound but when copy to app the sound is ok.

This lets me listen to audio files that are not mp3. I can hear a lot of important things that way that otherwise I would miss.

It lose sounds when I play the video with 1.54x up

I read posts about how to sped up videos like we could do on YouTube’s, and got a list of apps, including OPlayerHD. I downloaded many of them, and tried almost all of those, sequentially^ ^ At last, I, even haven’t deleted all others, I do started mainly using OPlayerHD. I wanted to sped up some of my studying videos then go back or forward seconds, or play some music during leisure time so to minimize screen on my iPad Pro(iOS 11 or so), and leave blank for future needs, haha. I think if is an on-going developing app, and I hope it will continue to be so. Therefore, when the ads popped up asking for encouragement/ payment by upgrading to full/ paying version, yeah, oplayer did get my backup, and happily purchased. Still, crossing my fingers, hope that it will not let me down~~

Very gooog

I picked this app because of the ratings, and haven’t been disappointed in what it’s able to support. I’ve loaded it up with hundreds of gigabytes of films, videos, clips etc in various formats but mostly mp4s. They all play fine. One problem: I didn’t think the picture-in-picture worked before, but I figured out the problem is with support for iPads without a Home button. The product is confused by the new gesture interface, so PiP mostly doesn’t work. But there’s an easy fix: add a button that indicates explicitly that you want the screen minimized to PiP. Can’t register on your forum to leave this msg: PLEASE fix in future version. —G

Took URL player and web browser away. Why? Probably not a common feature used by most, but why give less? It also separated the app from others. Please bring back!?!?

It seems doesnt work with ac3 audio in a video which has multi audio channels,even i purchase all functions.That's really bad.

Loss of download features in v. 3.4 , and the burying of this important detail at the bottom of the list of new “features” in the description of the update so that most will not notice until too late, has made me withdraw my previous five star rating for this app.

I want the web browser back or reinstall the previous version!

A year or so ago a number of critical features had been removed from this app, due To some new policy interpretation. Finally, those features have been restored! Thank you!

Its a good player. But it will be better, when we have some updates for its graphic design and better display. I hope we see better and user friendly interface in new updates.

Oplayer has played almost all video files I have thrown at it. I also like the file management features. Great app

It's useful if I can download video from a web link (URL)

For years I made, ahem, backup copies of DVD movies on my network. This is the app that I use to play them back on my iPad. There was only one other app that worked, and it stopped working when iOS 11 came out and it still hasn’t been upgraded to work with the current OS. But OPlayer works! It always has and continues to read any media file I throw at it. The upgrade from the free version was well worth the price. I’ve been using it for years and I’ll ever had to do was the occasional free update. This is the go to app for playing media! FIVE STARS!

While the app is still great for playing videos, I still don't want to have to use wifi transfer to download videos. Please bring back the ability to download via SAMBA.

I'm impressed by OPlayer HD, which has been able to play several videos VLC balks at. Definitely worth a purchase.

They removed the web browser which makes it impossible to stream of http. The Samba feature will not reliably play all the same videos that used to play fine in the browser. The app is useless and I want a refund!

Not as kludgy as VLC for iOS. Easy to get stuff in and out of, and plays just about anything I can throw at it.

When I try to open something in recently played, it won’t play, severely limiting the value of this app.

Oplayer was for many years a go to for all video. The dev improved and finessed it to a fine and totally needful app. In terms of playback, it’s still up there. It can indeed play many and sundry audio or video file formats which other apps can not. Occasionally the audio lagged behind the video. For all that, I would otherwise give it a solid 4.5. But the dev has earned 1 star by disabling one of the most basic features of Oplayer. Samba shares are now restricted to streaming. That is, you can scan for videos on your local network, from a computer or storage device, and stream them. But you can not download them to your iPad. This is an absolutely inscrutably bad decision to remove this feature. The WHOLE POINT of Oplayer is to download videos to it to play when away from home, without the need of a network. Why eliminate the basic functioning necessary to use the device? Also deleted is apparently the in-app web browser. I never used it much, but valued it being there. Perhaps this was in response to the recent hardware exploits. One can use another browser to send a downloaded web file to Oplayer. And if one is moving files to Oplayer from a computer, one can still move them from a computer using the Oplayer FTP or Bonjour servers. But if you use a net storage device, you are now up the creek. I heartily encourage the dev to RESTORE SAMBA FUNCTION immediately. Well, now I have to go find a new video player.

Hello, Download from Samba file sharing is now broken since last update on my iPad mini 4. Please fix it asap as it makes the app almost useless for me. Thx.

Very useful for downloading audio/video files from email and text attachments to listen/view. File name edit features and storage folders are useful. No feature in current version to share files by attachment to email or text is aggravating and why awarded only four stars.

I like the A-B looping feature. With the slow playback option I can use it to learn by studying the videos. It's a good, reliable tool.

Just want I needed. It’s perfect and can also syncs with subtitles marvelousy.

The option to download videos from my server was removed in the latest version. This makes the app useless to me, since I want to take some of my videos on the road with me. Before this I would have given it a 5-star revie

Reliable and well supported. Excellent choice for the toolbox.

It works perfectly fine with almost every file i've tried, except H265 1080p. I'm aware that my device might be low to play the file smoothly but it works on VLC just fine.

What gives why take away downloading capability from the best #1 video player app for so many years. I have told many people over so many years about this app now so I’m disappointed. I hope they fix it. Greatest app ruined by removing download option
