Embarassed for EW's Review of Entertainment Weekly Magazine

This app is a total disaster. I have an account, get magazines mailed to me every week, but can never get my subscription to work online. I am not even sure an intern is staffing the AppStore department at EW. Another sign that the mainstream magazine world will soon cease to exist. The app is an utter embarrassment for EW.

Why do I always need to re-login?

I’m constantly needing to re-login to download new issues. This is super annoying. It also doesn’t remember my login credentials. Get with the times, EW!

If everyone has the same error logging into app, why is update not being distributed? Same prob as other where logging in to app does not give access to my subscription to EW. Library empty, syncing doesn’t help, restore doesn’t help, logging in with acct num doesn’t help. Typical response so not really expecting an answer but trying anyway.

What has happened to EW???

I have used the EW app for a long time so I can read my issues when traveling. Now I can’t log in or access anything. This app is terrible. I’ve been an EW subscriber for years and this is enough to make me drop my subscription. Ridiculous. UPDATE - things seem to be fixed. Customer service is pretty good but considering all the concerns, I think they should just fix the app!

Every time this app is updated, I lose access to back issues. Very frustrating and customer support (when you can get ahold of someone) just repeats the same basic information from the app.

I am a print and digital subscriber and app will not allow me to download May 17 issue it only gives me the option to purchase. I have deleted and reinstalled the app and I have logged out/ back in and still only option is to purchase. I have already received the print copy .lease fix

Been a print subscriber since the beginning. Set-up digital account in 2017. No major issues until now. Had trouble accessing account. Now can’t access magazines. Asks me to purchase or free trial. Not happy.

I can’t seem to access any of my issues. I’m a subscriber and it keeps asking me to either purchase or start a free trial. Read other reviews on here and have tried what the developer has suggested of choosing the print/digital subscription and logging in with my email or account number. Logged in with my email and I have nothing in my library and I either have to purchase or try a free trial. I tried logging in with my account number and just trying to figure out where in the magazine my account number is located was a chore on its own. I basically had to go to the EW website to look it up. Once I found my account number, I tried using it to log into the iPad app and of course i got an error message saying it couldn’t log me in at this time. Reading the number of recent 1 star reviews on here and all pointing out the same issues, this app is absolutely garbage. I’ll give a better a review once the developer fixes the app.

I’ve been trying for 3 days to login through the iPad app and 1st it doesn’t recognize my email or password. It was working for the longest time, but not now. Deleted the app and reloaded it, tried logging in again. Still no go. So I changed my password and tried to login again with my email & new password and still no go. Tried signing in with the acct. # and after few minutes I get We are currently experiencing some problems. Please try again. Tried again on 2 separate days with signing in with my acct. # and still get the We are experiencing some problem message. I’m done fighting with the app. I’ll just go back to reading the magazine the old fashion way. It’s a good thing I still get the print version of the magazine.

So I see everyone has the same issue, not being able to get my digital copy. I keep trying the steps suggested and nothing. This is ridiculous. I also emailed the person regarding this issue and nothing. I can’t select anything less than one star for this app.
