I thought this sounded like a really cute and fun game for my grandsons, so I gave it a shot. A complete waste of time and money. It's too simple and not much substance. It was over before they could really get into it. Boring!!!!!!

OK app, The Monster at the End of this Book and Elmo Loves ABC are much better! This very basic and daughter plays other 2 apps much more.

This app is so cute, easy to use, entertaining, and well-made. My son is 17 months old and his favorite iPad activity is pushing the button and laughing as it boots me back to the homepage of apps. This is the only app that holds his attention for a sustained amount of time. The monsters c**** him up, he loves the music, and I find it cute as well. The only thing I would like to see are more options for eyes, noses, mouths, etc. The options that are there are cute but limited. Maybe there are additional choices in different seasons?

The sound doesnt work...and its not my ipad....looks like a fun app but its lame without the sound!!

Considering it was a Sesame Street app, you sort of presume that it will be educational, but it isn't remotely educational. That said, it is pretty amusing with the types of things the monsters do. The app is essentially a number of videos that fit together and switch mostly seamlessly, making it it sort of seems like a live app. My son had fun with it, but the novelty wore off rather quickly.

It's freezing and not working

My daughter is obsessed with Elmo. We bought this and it is entertaining if it worked. Like the other reviewer said the audio for the dialogue stopped working. We only hear background music. Also it doesn't always start when the app opens. Also it sometimes freezes. The take a photo of your monster function doesn't always work. A picture is taken,but without our monster in it. I hope these bugs get fixed because it is a fun app when it works.

There are hidden easter eggs if you get the monster combination 'Just right'. To get a hint of these look at the icon of the application and notice the background monsters. If you get the monsters looking like this you will receive a special hidden video! You can also see these items when you first select the monster and it says 'loading'.

Great app, not as educational as the rest of the IDEO/Sesame Street apps but my 2 1/2 yr old loves it. What upsets me is that having already purchased the iPhone version it would have been nice for the developers to create a universal app update instead of charging $3.99. Looks like I'm going to have to end up paying AGAIN for those as well when they get released. The upscaled versions look awfully mushy on the iPad. Also, any plan on returning to the non-holiday themed version anytime soon? It's almost February now.

It's a very cute application but my 1.5 and 4 year old were over it within in 15 minutes. I wouldn't care so much if I paid .99 cents for it, but it's expensive.

Have yet to open it withoutbit automatically closing 30 seconds in!

My children love this app. Last year we installed it around Christmas and there was an upgrade with Christmas decorations for the monsters, which was adorable. Unfortunately, one of the kids accidentally deleted it and now that I have re-installed, I don't see that option anymore. I hope that comes back again this year. Either way, this is a huge hit with kids and keeps them occupied!

Recommend for 3 and younger. very good support for this app.

The app is ok but repetitive after a while. Another app, Furry Friend, is more interactive and the puppet really feels alive.

Would be a good game for my 2 yr old but freezes all the time. Overpriced as well

I really love this app and more importantly so does my son. It's fun to play with though you quickly get through all the options of monster-choosing, feature-choosing, activity-choosing (but kids wouldn't). My only question is why does every picture I take of a monster include the hanukkah backdrop? How can I choose a non-denominational background?

This is you save to your Camera Roll after Elmo takes a photo of your monster. When you press the Elmo button, Elmo will come and dance with the monster you make. Elmo Calls is good but this is like a little late to save to your Camera Roll. As very good in the play mode, the camera icon is yellow & Elmo has a yellow camera in his hand given on Elmo's World.

My 4 year old loves this app! Heck, even my 6 year old will play with it. They laugh hysterically when making the monsters move back and forth and when they dance with Elmo. I give it 4 stars because it could have offered a little more.

My daughter loves this app, but often the music will stop working. The rest of the sounds will play, but there will be no music. My daughter gets very frustrated with this!

My 14 month old granddaughter loves this app. My iPad is filled with apps for her and I would have to say this is one of her favorites! I love watching her change all the different eyes and noses. I think this app brings enjoyment to the both of us. :-)

I bought this to amuse my 2 year old grandson and he loves it. He loves to change the eyes and noses of the different monsters and then play the songs. It is a very cute game that is well worth the cost of the app.

To few monsters to choose from and need more options like add hair, more hats, eyes and noses, also clothes or something. The butterfly and ladybug noses are a little silly. I bought this because it made it seem as though Elmo was involved in play with your monster you make, but Elmo is in and out in a flash! For the price I. Expect more, give consumers an UPDATE WILL YA!

This is the best sesame street app ever!!!Take my word for it.

I wrote a review shortly after using the app with my 19 month old, we also gave it 1 star. FIVE STARS FOR ELMO!!!!! Once you get into it there are endless laughs and never really repeats itself. I love watching Elmo make my daughter laugh and laugh!

This needs more reviews it's a really a good app. First my 2 1/2 year old plays it all the time. She learned how to say, "Are you ok?" then reply "Yeah" from it. She dances to it constantly and can find the app on my iPad, she seriously plays and dances to it all the time. It never froze on me and it uniquely changes with the season here. It's an interactive Mr. Potato head with music and less mess. I let my daughter practically k*** me with constant usage of this app for a month and showing it off in front of other toddlers before I reviewed it. I don't like many apps but this got me from Japan to the East coast with ease when my toddler should be running wild. It I find embraces her creativity. How the reviews are so eh on this amazes me. I am not solely going by reviews anymore because some products are eh themselves with half hearted reviews that can hurt a decent one and hype crap. If I try it and not like it I won't cry behind the possible 4 dollars. Just look for a new app and test it out myself. This app is a necessity for me in addition to "There's a monster at the end of this book and "Green Eggs and Ham" by Dr. Suess.

I bought this yesterday for my nephew. It was fantastic for awhile and now there is no sound at all. Update: someone flipped the switch on the side of my iPad and that turned off the sound. Really a cute app.

my son and I love this app, but i'm getting rather sick of the holiday themes, music and snow. will there be an update anytime soon?

Was great for about an hour, now all we hear is music. When the characters speak there is no audio, which made our girls laugh all the time. Now they don't like it anymore. I am looking for an audio setting to fix it, but with no luck. I wish there was an update to fix this.

My 2-yo is a huge Elmo fan, and loved playing with this app for about 7-minutes. The idea and platform are awesome...just limited in overall activity, especially for a $4 app. Some upgrades would be great to include more activities!

This game looks great.... However, very limited gameplay. My 3 year old played for about 5mins and when I turn it on for her now, she just switches apps... This one bores her now. Visually beautiful but repetitive and really boring after a while.

I love Elmo. Who doesn't? All the monsters are cute and cuddly. It lets you make any monster you want and lets your imagination run wild

Cute applicaiton. Children took a little warming up to. Entertains for a little bit, but not enough routines or monsters.

I downloaded this thinking that it would have been upgraded to be optimized for iPad. Instead, all that is differnent from the free version is 1. The button to reduce is gone 2. Each monster has (the same) two new hats, eyes. Also, it's not listed, but this is holiday themed. The new eyes, for example, are candy canes or stars, and there is a constant snow fall in the background. So useless. Bummer to have downloaded it in mid January where my holiday overload is at its peak. Hopefully the next upgrade will remove all this!

Hands down, this is my son's favorite app! I love the regular seasonal updates. We've had it for over a year now and haven't had any problems with it locking up or anything. Great app!

My son loves this app. He especially loves when they dance or when Elmo "visits." But we have had a lot of problems with freezing, the app closing or just not loading. It is unfortunate that we experience these issues because he loves the app - but gets frustrated when it doesn't work.

Not enough face customization. Same music and play routines. Will not hold kids attention. 3,99 waaaay to much to pay for this. Would be better served elsewhere.

There's really not much to this game. Elmo ABCs is awesome. Totally worth the money. There's just not much to this one. My toddler got bored with it pretty quickly.

This really works well for the ipad, where kids can scrawl all over the place and not worry about being super exact. The visuals are really nice and elmo's interaction with the various monsters is really cute! My nephew's going to love it!

I should have listened to the negative reviews. It's a very expensive app for what it does. Basically, it's a few characters that you can pick from and put goofy things on their faces in place of eyes, nose and mouth. You can push a button to have elmo come out and play with the character and he only does two different things - very boring.

My 18 mo niece LOVES this app. It works perfectly, but the holiday themes have got to go.

Froze up my Itunes when I tried to sync. Had to uninstall it.

As soon as we got app downloaded it never went past the title screen. They should reimburse everyone who purchased it. What a rip off.

My son loved this app. Glad to have the October update with fall dress-up options.

My 16 month old LOVES this! She giggles and dances and uses the photo option way too much. It is a huge help during our long commute.
