I bought the non-pro art set not knowing that there was a pro version. So I just wasted my money on the non-pro set when I could have spent it on the pro version!

I think the oil paint my be as close to real as a tablet can get. Manually reloading the brush and varying how much paint gets on the brush are the features that won me over.

I am having so much fun with this app. It's easy to use, and is helping me understand how to use all different sorts of media. It's great to be able to paint wherever I am, so long as I have an iPad with me.

I liked Art Set - I have the pro version, regardless of a few nit picky issues, it was a fun interesting app. That is, until the latest update Version 1.11 Feb 26, 2015. Now the app is bricked... Deleted. Reinstalled. STILL DEAD. I dont see the pro-version of app available in the App Store a day after I ran the update... DO NOT DOWNLOAD until they figure out a fix.

Changing colors & tools not very intuitive. Interface can't decide if it's for traditional painters or digital painters.

This app is good for starters. If you are using it for sketching, it is not that great because the lines are hard to get in the place you want. It is good for coloring. If you take a screenshot, you can put it on the canvas, and color on top of it. It has many, many colors and has a lot of different coloring tools. My favorite tool is the paint tool, because it is good for coloring. It makes the colors dark and it looks a lot like an actual painted stoke when you paint. Although another big problem, is the thickness. You can't really control it. The only way to get it to be thick, is to paint quickly. If you need a thin line, paint slowly. If you want to know what the tools are, they are: paint, colored pencil, crayon, oil pastel, pen, thick marker, thin marker, eraser, sponge, wet tissue, cup of water, thick stick, & thin stick. The sticks are for smearing the oil pastel, and the water is for splattering. Over all, it was okay, although it could of been a little bit cheaper. Either way if you chose to get it or not, I hope you don't regret your decision. 🎨

The tools from the old version were so crappy I never touched the app, now that it updated its MUCH MUCH MUCH BETTER!

My favorite of the cheap draw apps. There are features I'd love for this to have, but for the peanuts it costs, it's kinda amazing, really.

I love this app as a tool to draw because I can do exactly what I want without dirtying my hands. BUT This app will lose ALL your drawings on a whim and doesn't save it like its supposed to. Please please fix this. I CRIED FROM BROKEN DREAMS

The only thing I would change is the option to change the sizes of the brushes.

I have the Pro version too. Go to your computer with iTunes, open the Recycle Bin and literally pull the Art Set 1.1.ipa (maybe Art Set 1.0.ipa) file out of the bin. This is your old (hopefully) still workable Art Set prior to the update. Keep it safe for the time being, and wait to see if Art Set is updated. Please wait. If for some odd reason the Pro version is gone forever, then you still have the old version. At worst, you can copy into your Apple set of apps, and reinstall on your device.

But...could you add layers for the next update? If so then thanks! And i think 3 layers with a background layer(DrawCast has a background layer) then that should be all :)

Its a great app I love it!!! But the blending tools aren't too great, but other than that totally worth the price.

This is NOT one of those programs that starts off cheap and wants to sell you on brushes and mediums. All included and very addictive. Lots of tools and colors to choose from. Worth it. I just want there to be updates or something. I want to see more happen with the app.

I want the pro version, but holding out for support of Wacom's Creative Styluses. Once that is implemented, there could hardly be a contender! That being said, the basic stuff is still frustrating, lack of brush settings, no layers, no color wheel. I like the natural workflow, except that it's not that natural and is actually quite cumbersome. This is one to watch and keep updating though!

I LOVE THIS APP! It's really fun to play around with the colors and tools! It's very fun! I really like how there is preset colors that you scroll through like real life! Hehe :3

It needs to be updated on the mixing tools

The premise is good... But how can you see what you are doing on a tablet when your finger is in the way? This is really only good for pcs where you use a mouse.

The mediums look good on the canvas and I like how the app looks with the trays and tools. There aren't many features to speak of, but I'll forgive that because of the low price tag, I think it's worth it. I would like to see a better way to choose colors though, you can't choose any one you like and it's a cumbersome task to scroll through them all each time you want to change. Also, the canvas always zooms from the center instead of where you pinch, which is annoying and makes it harder to navigate around the canvas than it should be. Otherwise, solid app for the price tag.

This app is fantastic indeed however the eraser is horrible I prove it please!

I tried to draw something but it ended up looking like the F word, so I wanted to delete it. A day later I logged back in and it was still there. I had to delete the app and buy it again

Fun app. Would pay a bit more for the ability to change the size for each drawing tool.

Due to a known apple itunes bug, I am unable to consistently download to install your app update. I have been waiting 6 weeks for a fix from Apple. Thought you should be aware of Apple hindering your hard work. ==== Developer, Subscription model: I don’t like over paying for an app over and over again. I don’t want to spend 50.00 a month (for 20 apps) to use needed apps. My budget will not allow it. Basically I will be "buying" an app for big bucks over time instead of a reasonable fee one time fee which I could save up or stagger buying over time. Many app store users are on limited income/SSI/SNAP. Allow me to prepay a year or still offer a one time cost for several years at a reasonable price. If you lock out my already paid for App; I will fight you. I will not be abused.

The pictures clearly show that the brushes look MUCH better than the actual app looks, the brushes don't look real at all. Sad that I spent two dollars on this.

I love this app-I use it every day! What I really love is that you can draw on photos. I recommend it for older children, though.

I don't even pick up a piece of paper and pencil anymore. This app is great.

I have been looking for an art app that would be fun for the whole family to use, and this is it. No overwhelming flashy sounds and lights to distract from creativity, and very realistic options for mediums. Love the selection of colors for every option, including canvases. Excellent!

In the non-pro edition, how do I change the brush width?

This app is incredible! As a full time artist I really enjoy having this app to jot down ideas for my next project. Many fun tools and mediums to play with, and they work flawlessly. 5 stars!!

This is an old app with a nice logo and good looking screen shots, but there's nothing to the app itself, and it has not been updated in years. No retina support, not updated to newer iPads, doggidly slow, and has not kept up with iOS updates and features. This is just an old app acting like it's something special when it truly is nothing special at all. Don't bother, find something from a reputable company to buy.

This app is incredible for multi media... It is like having all of the art supplies in the world. You can draw on top of pictures, mix colors, and so much more! Definitely worth the money

When I mess up and try to undo it won't work so I try to erase but that is not working. It needs to have a good eraser. It takes at least 17 seconds just to erase one little smiley face

How can I get ver. 1.1 back. Dont like the new one at all.

Wow! Great app! All the features are great and hyper realistic and creative. I love this app. Yet I don't understand why if I try to redo something, it only lets me redo a few little things and not what I really want to redo. The eraser works well but you can still see a little of what you wanted to get rid of. Other wise, the colors are amazing, the tools are excellent, and I just love to draw and this app helps me do what I love the best! :) <3 love it!

Simple and delightfully fun app to use. Beginners or pros alike will get a lot of creative mileage out if this one. Personally, I love using the pastels and the blending tools.

i used to love this app, but the subtle and natural looking drawing tools have now been replaced with harsh digital versions (i guess in an attempt to make you buy the pro version - but which is not much better.) i tried complaining to the makers, but they dont care to reply.

I love this app because I get to use art materials I've never used before but I also think you should lower the price on the art set pro because some people don't have enough money for them that is too much 😨😨😨😨😱😱😱😫😫😫

Dear Developers, I used to use Art Set just for the fine blending tools and now they are not as refined. The blending is less controlled and I am not able to get into small places. Art Set used to have some unique features that made my paintings look so much more like real oils. Please fix and return some of the older features.

I love Artset and have spent many hours painting with the app. It is a good way to experiment with different mediums without spending a lot of money. The downside, Artset keeps losing my drawings. Here today and then gone! I hope they fix this soon.

This is the best art app I have tried! Use a paint brush, Markers, Crayons, Colored pencils, Pens and more! You can even upload your own photo! Trust me--try it!

Another okay app but, it cost me five dollars so you should buy brushes.

I love this app. It calms me down and its a stress reliever. I feel so accomplished when I finish a great art piece! It makes me feel great! I highly recommend this app. It's also good for kids! If you can't see use a stylist!

When you import a photo it comes upside down in landscape position . Needs a rotate photo button. Also check Wasabi, may need same thing, I didn't try to enlarge photo ,that too would be superb. Keep up the good work. Thanks Artist LarJon.........

I’ve been a heavy art app user for years, and Art Set has been among my top go-to apps. It’s personal and simple. Now that we have the pro version— OH MY GOSH~~~ What a tool! You can really do everything here in this intuitive app. I can’t wait to do get started on some new drawings/paintings. Thank you, developers!
