Other than the recurrent ads on the website there is nothing super wrong about this app although there are minor translations that’s are weird

Lately it has been crashing a lot and it’s been extremely annoying. My only go to Spanish dictionary so please fix.

Why replace a very good “favorites” list for which you could search and save other words in the examples? The dumbed down list feature replacement is another example of failure to learn what works well AND KEEP IT. I wrote the company and got an inane reply. There are lots of other good apps and I will use them more. If I could go viral perhaps they would bring it back!

I’ve been using this app for years. Super helpful and it doesn’t just translate things for you but it conjugated them to let you make sense of them.

Always helps with Spanish homework.

I love Spanish dict, but lately it keeps freezing up at random times. It’s getting more frustrating. Please fix this. I don’t know if it’s my phone or it’s the app.

I love how easy it is to find definitions and various forms of verbs. My only problem is that if I’m listening to music on my phone, then switch to the app while on my phone, my music stops playing. It would be great if there was a toggle switch to change this in the app settings, or if there is I don’t know about it. But besides that the app is great!

Me gusta mucho mejorar el inglés y con las palabras del día mejoro mucho aunque me gustaría que también sirva de diccionario, ya que en ocasiones necesito el significado de alguna palabra y tengo que buscar otra aplicación

I do not like the new “word of the day”, my Spanish speaking workers have never heard those words. I would like to have the old list of words back. ???

Not bad

In the older version I had there was an option to Add to favorites words that I wanted to review later, but this new version diesn’t have it. That really disappointed me, I really like that function.

Alright, so the app itself contains a lot of useful information and it really helps me out in a lot of ways. In that regard, this app is great. However, I can’t give it 5 stars because of how bad the stability is. Many times when I type a word that isn’t in the dictionary, instead of saying that the word couldn’t be found, the app crashes. Sometimes when I’m reading something in Spanish and I don’t know what the word means, I’ll use this app, but for some reason when you switch to this app from another app, this app crashes, literally every single time. I don’t know what’s going on, I’m on the latest iOS with an iPad Air 2, so there shouldn’t be many, if any, issues.

For a long time I used Spanish Dict when I needed a word, phrase, etc. verified, but I have swapped to another app in the mast few months for a few reasons. Firstly, the app crashes every now and then. It isn’t every time, but it’s almost always when you need it most. Secondly, if it doesn’t crash, it will sometimes have spam-like pop-ups, etc. I think I’ve noticed before that it has tried downloading things on the desktop version, so I think it may be compromised. Finally, my Spanish professors (I’m a 4th year Spanish major) have always recommended other apps as more accurate (because they’re more closely aligned with the RAE, etc.). This last reason is really the least important factor in my decision to stop using the app, but I think it’s worth mentioning.

This app helps me so much! I’m trying to learn Spanish and being able to go to an app like this is so helpful. I don’t know how I would learn without it!!

We couldn’t find “the words YOU often choose to feature as the word of the day” in the dictionary. A few suggestions: • Check your spelling • Try searching for similar words

This app is great. But it destroys my battery in around 20 minutes of use I lose around 40% battery life

It’s incrediblely unstable constantly crashing or freezing my entire phone

I use this app ALL THE TIME. It is a godsend. I must say though, it is sometimes buggy. Especially the pronunciations. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don’t. Ugh!

The best dictionary I know for learning a new language.

No need to search further. This has everything from formal to colloquial definitions, explanations!

I don’t know if this is only me; but whenever I use the app it tends to take me off the app in the middle of my searches. Every time I try to search up a word for my spanish homework it just glitches and takes me out of the app causing me to loose my previous searches. I completely understand if it’s just me. I love using the app to do my homework but maybe that could be fixed if it is the app.

Some words are not accurate to the spaniard way.

This app is actually really good

spanishdict is still my favorite online dictionary for desktop but it has some issues with mobile. i think it started to lag last year and it’s almost completely useless now. my phone software is up to date and i have no issues except for this app. the screen freezes and lags and i have to reopen the app each time i search for a new word. i hope they fix it :(

I am studying Spanish, and I use this app a lot. I use the verb conjugation feature the most. I find the translation feature to be useful, as long as you treat it like any automated translation engine (Google, Microsoft Translate, etc.) and understand where it might go wrong, though it is very good. If you are careful in your choice of English input, you will get better results. If you take any automatic translation as gospel, well, you’re on your own. I tend to use the translations as starting points and change them as necessary to correctly express what I want to say. Along with a translated sentence, the app provides a word-by-word translation so you can see where it might not be the correct translation for your purpose. This process becomes easier as your fluency improves. I have found a few problems with the app on my iPad, but my emails to support have been answered relatively quickly and with good follow up. Thank you, Stephanie! I recently experienced a bug on my iPad, and by using the Screen Recording feature, I was able to send a video to the developers, who were able to replicate the problem. Stephanie reported to me that the issue should be fixed soon. 👍🏻 For those users who have complained about the ads, if this app is useful to you, I can only suggest that you upgrade to the ad-free version. It’s only $2.99 per year—a giveaway in my view, considering its utility. Otherwise, you can always go to wordreference.com—in some ways more complete (synonyms, antonyms), but not as easy to use.

If it didn’t constantly crash and randomly stop playing my music even when i didn’t push anything, then 5/5. It helps a lot, and gives good definitions. Theres just some major, MAJOR glitches that are painstakingly horrible and i switch to their website. Why do i have the app?? And no, it’s not my phone. I have an iphone 8 plus, and i’m up to date with ios. Please, please fix these issues and the app is absolutely perfect! (And about the music, please fix this, i’ll be jamming out and working and then all of a sudden it’ll cut off when i dont even push anything)

I have been using this app for 2 years and absolutely loved it! However, the last update crashes every time it opens. Please fix it!

I first ran across Spanish Dict in Google. There was so much information their that I looked for an App. I have downloaded a lot of apps for translations which I’ve found to be very difficult and not at all helpful to interact with, while Spanish Dict is precise and easy to use. It has everything and more that you would need to learn Spanish quicker and in the proper format. What more can I say, I love it!! Rita from Long Beach, CA

I use this amazing app for both English to Spanish, and Spanish to English translations. I also use it in class, and out of class, all the time. It makes translating 100 times easier, and it’s completely accurate. It’s also a lifesaver when it comes to homework, and I always recommend this app to my other friends that take Spanish. If I could, I’d give it 6 stars, 😂

I work at a bilingual preschool, which is English and Spanish. I am the English-speaking half of the team, however I often look up words to translate into Spanish, and this is the app I use. It's efficient and quick. Wonderful!

This spanish-English dictionary is really helpful and helps s lot in learning words, pronunciations, and their implementations.

This is an easy professional app which is great for fast and accurate translations. They also include conjunctions in multiple tenses which help a lot for comprehension. I recommend this for all high school students!

Love the app but it frequently crashes with the latest update of the iPhone.

I love the vocab lists that I can make myself, and the conjugation of verbs are incredibly helpful and found nowhere else on the Internet in such a straightforward and helpful manner. Thank you!

I’m a Spanish major and I use this constantly. Way better than the webpage

This is by far the best app for translating and/or learning Spanish or English! It’s very easy to use and accurate. Keep in mind that Spanish does vary from region to region. My wife is from Colombia, she says the translations are decent for the most part, you can find the variations with a little searching if you’re not sure about them.

It’s lazy to think that all the world speaks English. It only takes 15 min outside of turisto-central for me to feel out of my element! If you like to see/do anything a guide like this is invaluable. It allows you to type in a sentence, breaks it down into components for reference when learning languages and it has audio spoken when internet connected. And, it has a phrase book to boot.
