Meth boy's Review of Ham Morse
Reviewed on 6/8/20 5:16 PMThis is the best Morse tutorial product that I have found to date for the Macintosh. My only problem is that the program stops transmitting code when the screen times out. This forces me to continually tapThe screen of my iPhone to get the product to keep transmitting. This is the only flaw with the program. This is what prevents me from giving it a full five stars.

Reviewed on 6/8/20 5:16 PMHands down the best cw trainer app out there. I went from 0-20 wpm in just a few months. The ability to add your own text would make this an even better app.

Reviewed on 6/8/20 5:16 PMSo far, this is the best app I’ve found for increasing my code copying accuracy and helping to increase my speed. I especially like the QSO function; you’re able to customize the app with your call sign and name, which is what then is used for the simulated QSO’s… a nice feature that helps me recognize my own call sign. One thing to be aware of though- and this is a comment that reflects how complete and functional this app is- you’ll want to make sure you go in and take a look at the list of punctuation that can be included in QSO’s and other random sets of characters sent- on a couple of occasions I was sent punctuation I had never heard before and wasn’t aware of! (like the @ sign, the dollar sign, parenthesis, etc) You can turn any or all characters, letters, numbers, pro signs, etc on or off to customize the software, so it’s not a problem. All of these are on by default when you first start. All told, though, I am finding this to be a great app that runs smoothly and is a real asset in helping increase my copying and code speed. Nice work, Simon! Tnx es gud luck, AA9PW de KG9MG

Reviewed on 6/8/20 5:16 PMI like the app but it stops working when my screen darkens to save power. Also the app will only play the audio (code) for a few minutes. I want to listen to the code while working, exercising and so on, but no, I find that every few minutes I have to stop what I'm doing to baby sit the app.

Reviewed on 6/8/20 5:16 PMJust purchased this app based on the reviews, downloaded to my iPad. Went thru the setting and app instructions. Started to familiarize myself with the controls and "low and behold" you can get the KOCH setting to go back to 1 of 43 with the " - " button! Might want to fix this for the beginners who purchase this app as it is UNUSABLE for beginners!

Reviewed on 6/8/20 5:16 PMOut all the apps, mp3 files, Windows software out there, I found this to be the best out there. Just 30 minutes a day for a few months using the Koch method will make you a CW operator. Even if you make mistakes, who cares. Just try again the next day. Trust me, you will do better the next day.

Reviewed on 6/8/20 5:16 PMThe setting turn to vary the block length during the Koch lessons is not persistent. Turns off every time I launch the app. Still not fixed in 1.470. Still don't know if that's advertised behavior or not.
