This app helped me so much.

This app is amazing. The questions are exactly like ones you would see on the BMV test with many choices for practice tests as explanations for questions if you’ve gotten then right or wrong. Also if you think there’s a problem, the makers of this app responded within 1-2 business days with the explanation of the answer. If you want to pass your test, I highly suggest downloading this app.

Maybe it's where I'm located but there wasn't that much on here that was on my actual permit test. I want to say no more than 3 questions. I understand that they won't be the exact same question but it didn't really help. And yes I chose the correct state for the practice test. Maybe it just needs to be updated on the content

I am a premium member on the web site. I wanted this app to streamline my study for my CDL on my iPad. Unfortunately, there is no log in and no method at all to access premium content or get rid of those obnoxious ads. I am uninstalling and going back to the web version I guess. Devs ... there is no point in providing an app if not everyone on every level can access the content they paid for. At this point, this app is just a lure for folks to get them to the web for buying premium access. I’d love this app if it weren’t for you blocking me from premium and shoving full page ads in my face every few questions. 3 stars for design, but had to knock off two stars for blocking me out of the level of content I paid 40 bucks for.

If I could I would give this a 10 star rating or more, I’m having to take my permit test and half of the stuff in the book puts too much words into it and I don’t know what I’m looking for so this app is so amazing!!!! I hope I pass my test because I’m doing great on these tests I’m working on!

The app is very good, works well, and it’s easy to understand and use. However, the real DMV test is completely different, almost all the 36 questions of the DMV test are different from the questions from this app. I said almost, one question or another are very similar, but the most part of it is different, so the app was really useless (for me) after all, I didn't pass the test, and now I'm looking for another DMV app to study.

I just took the 2 test and didn’t even get halfway through both test before being disqualified for the amount of worong answers I had !!! Big waste of time there was maybe one question I knew thx for nothing #trashapp

This app is an amazing resource when it comes to studying for your test. It’s such a great tool for learning because when one chooses an incorrect answer, the app immediately gives you feedback as to why it’s incorrect and what the right answer is instead. I personally found it to be very helpful and there are a variety of practice tests for each difficulty level you may choose. 10/10 would recommend!

The app is so good all you have to do are the first two practice tests and the final a few times and you are ready for your test. Passed mine today and it was easy thanks to my studying on this app.

i studied constantly, i got 100% on all of the tests.. went to take my test and failed miserably. none of the questions were on the test. didn’t work for California test

I’m from Indiana and I remember taking my permit test August last year. Even though I had read the manual prior to taking the test, I ended up failing miserably. Feeling down and low, I promised I would come back well prepared. I used this app two weeks before taking my test, and I passed today!!! I would highly recommend this app for anyone applying for their learners permit, CDL, or motercycle permit.

I studied for my permit exam only using these practice tests and they covered everything that would potentially be on the exam! I passed without any mistakes thanks to this app! Btw. I took my exam in Illinois.

Be very careful, cause not all the answers here will appear on the real test, still study the handbook. But helps a bit, not to pass the test.

I took every single test on this app and took several of the CA DMV Test Stimulator, but the questions did not match the ones on the test at all. There were only about 5 questions that matched the ones on the test. I do not recommend this app for people in California, although it would be extremely useful if they had the right questions.

The app covered a large portion of the test I took, it did a fantastic job being informative. I would recommend taking a quick read through the book, because there are questions that were on my test that did not show up on the app. Study the app, and study the book if you’re seriously wanting to pass the test.

I passed all three of my test general knowledge, air brake and combination. Between reading the manual and testing myself with the app for like two weeks was great for me to pass the test with ease. The questions and answers are almost identical. I am very pleased with this app to help me pass for my future.

It's a great app. It has some glitches though. Despite it telling me I got some answers wrong when I got it right, I used this app to study and I passed my permit test on my first try. The bugs need to be fixed.

So this app is pretty good; it’s motivational, has lots of questions, and makes sure you review anything you got wrong. I’m glad it worked out for so many people but the road test practice questions for the New Jersey road test needs to be updated. Considering there were 10 tests, one of them being 360 questions, I’d feel I knew a good amount of questions for the road test. But during the test I’d say only roughly 15 seemed remotely familiar. The rest I knew from the drivers manual. Plus during the actual test, the choices I had learned to choose from the app were wrong. I wish I could post them so changes can be made but I don’t remember them. Also I know the app has repeat questions so people can review what they learned in the past but the frequency of the repeats is too often, there should be more varied questions to review for more information. If you’re taking the road test, use this app first since it seems easy to learn with but then read the actual manual to make sure the information you need to focus on for your state is accurate.

The is a great app, especially for helping you keep track of what you are reading and maintaining! There’s a lot to read and go over! So this app not only helps you to remember, but reminds you of what you need to go over again or read up on. This was a life saver!!

It’s great once you already have memorized the manual. Would be better if there was a learning mode or if the manual was included.

This works great for all you DMV testing needs, when you miss a question it gives you an in depth explanation on why the other is answer is correct. It has great quotes to bring up courage and bring down anxiety.

This app helps in no way. They give you no background information and just shoot you with questions.

This app is very helpful because it quizzes you not only on the rules of the road, but on what to do when. There are 4 modes: easy, hard, hardest, and exam mode. Easy mode has 5 practice quizzes, hard has two, hardest has two, and exam only has one. The app does not give you flashcards or any sources to study from, it ONLY has the quizzes.

Thanks guys for making such an amazing app, I passed my cdl permit test with the airbrakes, combination, double/triple, hazmat, and tanker endorsements. For those of you who want to pass the exam, I recommend you guys read the handbook and test yourself using this app.

Along with reading your state’s learners book, this app is a perfect way to study in any environment for your test. After you get a question wrong, it is thoroughly explained and you can go back and re-answer all the ones you got wrong in the challenge bank. This review really reinforces what you are learning

This app is absolutely amazing. It was able to help me study for the knowledge test for one week. I did not touch the driver’s manual most of the time! I really liked the practice test that breaks down into different types of sections such as the road signs, situations, and the fines. Most of the questions are also alike to the actual test. There was some questions that aren’t in the test. So make sure to skim through the book as much as you can! Without this app, I would have probably failed without knowing which questions are highly asked in the knowledge test. I got 35 questions right and 5 wrong answers. Keep with the good work for the app for future testers! 🙌👍

This app either gave me misinformation or not enough. After studying with this app heavily I failed my drivers test. The lady at the DMV said do not use online sources at all costs and that the safest option is to buy a book from them.

Really easy to learn things. You can retake the test over and over again until you get the score you like. It has like a section of all the questions you got wrong so you can study and get them right. It’s really good, I highly recommend people to use this app

I literally did the "Test Simulator" 30+ times and I passed them all with 3-4 wrong answers and I went to do the real Nevada permit test and failed it. None of the questions on this app were on the NV permit test. Smh. Should just study the book and do it right the first time.

just recently took the test it was 30 questions and luckily I got 24/30 this app is alright for last minute studying but if you really want to make sure you are prepared I would recommend reviewing other sources as well.

Used this to get my Iowa class A. Didn’t look at the book once. Studied this app for a day and a half. Took the tests and didn’t miss one question. Almost the identical questions just a few words switched around.

Nothing like the permit test. Don’t rely on this app to pass the test. I knew every question on this app and the test was nothing like it.

I find that the questions are not repeated. And it is so progressive doing the test one after another. It gives you the idea of solving all the levels of questions from easy to difficult. I would recommend this app.

I have been going over the NY CDL handbook for some time, but never committed enough, I found this app about two months ago and I went on the app every time I felt bored or just to try it out, after almost two months -having previously read the book over a couple of times- I went took and passed my CDL B permit !! This is an extremely valuable tool for review: Just remember, read all the answers before you choose. Read the question carefully. Make sure you understand exactly what the question is asking.

This app was the one who helped me pass my CDL license test and then all the endorsements I needed. It dosent get better than this and all for free.

Passed my permit test on the first try but This app gives a lot of information, I took my permit test and some of the questions that was in this app was exactly like the ones on the test or just worded differently but if you’re taking the actual test don’t over think it because it’s actually easy asf now not every question on the permit test was in this app but the questions that wasn’t in the app were the really easy common sense ones, good luck. Also I didn’t have any fines questions so either I got lucky or they don’t add fine questions to the actual exam.

This is one of the far by best practice app I have used. I’m pretty sure this will help because I read the book and remember most of the guide to the practice questions.

I live in Louisiana and was studying for the CDL Test. This app helped me pass the tanker endorsement , the cdl , the combination exam and the airbrakes exam. Questions are almost identical to the real thing. This app is legit and goes off of the cdl manual for the state truly. It also mixes up the questions too so you can be ready for all possible combinations for the real exam. Tests are the same every time so it never gets boring! I’ve had iPhone since iPhone 2g and never left a review for any app so this one speaks volumes!! THANK YOU DMV GENIE!!

This app has really helped me

I just studied hundreds of questions like this before taking my written test and proceeded to fail it (got 70%). I’d say I had to guess half the answers as they were more like IQ tests than road safety. So I thought I’d try this app after the instructor suggested it as maybe the previous mock tests were too easy. These are just the same. I even went into exam mode and it was still too easy. Brace yourself for the real thing. It’s hard.

I hate the game garbage popping up. I assume it’s an ad. Very difficult to get to go away.

Not a single question on this app is related to the actual permit test. This is pointless app that teaches unnecessary information. Hopefully it adds questions that are relevant to the permit test.

I had taken the airbrakes test twice at the DMV and now it seem to be I think I’m ready after using the Genie as a study guide 😃.

I learned a lot of stuff that will benefit me for the rest of my life, but for some of the questions it would be nice to have pictures to understand what the question is referring to.

Hello I PASSED THE TEST ON THE FIRST TRY. I didn’t really start to study it untill about two days before the test, and it was a breeze! Super easy ok. I asked the dmv lady and she said that people dont usually pass on the first go. I believe all my luck was due to this app! Its the only thing i used to study :) The questions were very similar and I felt confident going in! Thank you so much dmv genie!

This is great application if your aim is to effectively acquire all knowledge needed to successfully pass your permit exam. There are multiple test, each with specific content and questions. There’s also a feature called the “challenge bank” where the questions you miss will be present. It’s highly effective for avoiding the repetition of careless mistakes. All in all, it is a very good app for knowledge of the road in whatever state your might be in. (Works with many regions.)

I downloaded this app a week before my permit test and this was best practice permit test app I have ever had!!

They App helped a lot but unfortunately when taking a test yesterday a lot of surprise questions they weren’t even in the practice test or the exams were given a good reminder once skipping you will have to go back and answer those questions I did passed by the skin of my teeth but somebody information on these apps should be upgraded to give you a better look at the true test at the DMV

When I went to take my permit test, most of the questions I was given I did not know. I’d been studying this app for a while before my test and almost none of the things I learned on here were relevant to the real test.

I’ve taken the practice test 7 times & i’ve missed no more than 3 questions & i get a result of failing once i get to the 44 question.

Failed my permit test today, only 4 questions were related to DMV genie, the rest i had to answer from my own knowledge. Spent hours taking all the exam modes for nothing, now i gotta spend more unnecessary hours studying the handbook. Thanks for nothing, please update the california test.

The test is literally made so you can not even want to take your permit test. This app actually needed to improve itself.

This app did not help. I studied and studied and passed all the practice tests and did the exam over and over till I could take my permit test. When it came to the day to take my test I completely failed because the app didn’t cover everything so I didn’t have practice on questions. The app is not better than the book I suggest just to study the book. Then the next day I studied the book instead of this app and I passed because I was able to get all the information needed.

This app is terrible. Most of the material in the actual written test was not mentioned in the app whatsoever and led me to fail my test because i relied on this app. Only gave me a little info that helped me passed and thats why i gave it one star. TERRIBLE LEARNING APP

This app is absolutely perfect for rmv studying I love it

Im getting my Basic license and still a road test ahead of me but as for the computer, i strongly encourage to read the manual FIRST. This app had zero questions about points and GDL license and i guarantee you'll get at least one or two. DMV genie was not the only source of questions i did. I did even from the actual website and some of the questions may stop you and you'll get it wrong. Overall, its a great stimulator but i didnt set myself to rely on it 100%. If i did i'd fail. Manual first, then this app. My honest opinion.

My daughter took the online drivers ed class and didn’t feel confident taking the California Driver’s permit test. I downloaded this app for her yesterday and she took all the exams, also the challenge bank was very helpful. She had her DMV test today and passed. She said the questions were almost identical to the questions on this app. Thank you!!! We will be recommending this to everyone.

I saw this app and it was a guarantee that you would pass the real DMV test if you completed all of the quizzes. I completed all of the quizzes and still failed. I don’t know what to say other than it is sad. I studied hard and went over every test twice. Sad...

I am currently in lineman in school and i had to get my CDL permit by a certain date and this app was highly recommended by my instructors. I used and it was so easy to learn it! I got my permit and didn’t fail any tests! Highly recommended

i used this app to study for my permit test... i completed all of the courses that didn’t require you to pay, and once i did that, i completed and passed the practice permit test at least 30 times. i took my permit test and NONE of the questions on this app were on the test, they were all different. i would recommend using the DMV handbook from your local dmv.

This app is just amazing but having us to buy premium so we can have full access was terrible mistake the developer has made!! I was enjoying the app when I first started but when I reached quiz number 4 I got stuck and got to buy premium while I don’t even have a credit cards, decided to uninstall it and download a free one !!

Amazing way to score good

This app is the goat. I think I read the first chapter to my states dmv drivers manual and then stoped. I then started using this app prob spend no more than 5 hours total and passed the written test. highly recommend. Weather you don’t feel like reading the book or if your having difficulties reading the book this app with definitely help like I said HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

I absolutely loved this app. It was fun and easy to use, the tests are VERY VERY similar to the real test, and they give you the correct answers right away, so you can learn QUICKLY. I postponed taking the test for a while because I was afraid I'd fail.. but it literally only took like two to three hours of studying with this app, (right before I took the test) and I passed the 75 question test with only 1 wrong!!! The exam practice test really helped me study for my CA commercial drivers permit! I passed with only 3 wrong! The questions were almost exactly like the real thing and it really prepared me for the test. Although I recommend you still read the handbook before you take your test.

When I first heard about this app & the practice tests, I was a little skeptical of its success in preparing me for the actual Indiana CDL written tests!!! But to be honest with you, this app help me immensely!!! I paid the $10 to unlock all the practice tests & I’m glad that I did. It was worth it. I especially like how the practice explain each correct answer.

I used the app to study for the CT learner’s permit test. While the app is easy to use, the questions selected by the app were so much harder and more obscure than the ones on the actual test - which made me really nervous and freaked me out before the test. Would not recommend it

I used this app CONSTANTLY in August of 2017, it used to have all the tests for free. Recently, my friend has been trying to get his license, so I reinstalled it and noticed almost EVERYTHING is locked . I will not put money into an app that used to be free and that should be trying everything to get somebody to pass. It’s truly unfortunate how everything has to have a “premium”, or, “PLUS”, edition. For anybody who is struggling with money and wants to pass, I’d just go online and practice the free tests on your states DOL website...

This really is helpful when studying and I love how it give you immediate feedback and multiple chances at different test and levels.

So, when I took my permit test for the first time, I completely failed it. I decided to download this app and study. It was pretty easy to study on he go or at home, and it even let you pick your own states’s diving handbook. The only thing is, when I went to do my test after studying for 10+ hours, there were a few questions on there that weren’t on the practice test anywhere. I can’t say for sure it’ll be wrong, but that’s just my experience. 4/5 stars. Great app, but it doesn’t have every feature and question that I would like.

I used the free version of this app and it was pretty cool. Not a lot of test you can take but then i bought the whole version for $10 and it was mind blowing. More test for each category. The hardest test I took was Hazmat and even using the $10 version i managed to pass that, my doubles/triples, and tankers all in one day. Hands down best app I used to study for my endorsements.

I live in Colorado, and the rule is as of April, 23,2007, if you are at least 14 and a 1/2 years old, (which I am) you can take an approved Colorado drivers education course entirely online and receive a DMV- approved affidavit of completion? So if I buy the premium version( and complete it ) does it count as a approved affidavit of completion? Do I get to print out a certificate showing proof?

The money I paid for additional questions was worth the investment in myself and studying. I passed the general knowledge, passenger and air brakes my first attempt!

Almost every questions on the CDL test on the app I have seen on the DMV tests. I studied the night before without previous, but have pretty good common knowledge. I studied one test of each endorsement I was taking. Then the next day showed up to dmv and started with the General knowledge. Did all 5 tests on the app and went it to test. AND PASSED! I went back out and studied for my other endorsements one at a time, went on to each and did all practice tests and exam and tested! And passed all of them. I guarantee it will be the best 10 bucks you’ll ever spend towards your CDL. I very much like this app and I appreciate it!

You can take only one test in each section before you have to buy the premium version. I’ll just keep going to all the free versions online and forget this app. I suggest everyone else does the same👎👎

I used this app for about 15 minutes a day for a week and a half and I went from knowing nothing to passing first try and only missing 3 questions. This app is helpful and I recommend it!

Keep studying and memorizing MA fines and limits practice test 50 questions, most questions are on the permit test! I passed my permit on the first time thank GOD!

It is a very great way to learn to obtain your CDL at all levels... Love the way it lets you go back and see the questions you gotten wrong... It’s really and truly a great app!!!

Bought the app, messed around with it for two straight days, then went and took my test and Aced it!!! I will say there were a few awkward questions on the test that weren’t gone over in the app. One was when do you talk to your passenger. A few others I believed the answer was all of them, but that wasn’t an option. So, you just had to choose the one that best answered the question. Most of those were in the app somewhere, but in the app had an all of these option as an answer. You have to answer 19 out of 25 correct on the actual test. I would say 15 of the questions I answered were almost Word for Word exactly like they were in the app.

I took a practice from the actual dmv website, and half of this information isn’t needed, a lot of it is also incorrect

Omg I took the practice questions and it really helped me take the permit test and I Passed!

I got 100% on all of the quiz that they allowed you to take, but they were nothing like the real thing. The real test’s questions are formatted differently and don’t show resemblance towards this app’s questions. This app made me fail the test.

It’s really helpful to learn and progress. Unfortunately I paid for premium service and 5 days ago and am still unable to get the premium practice tests. I tried contacting the DMV genie and did what they suggested but nothing worked. Can a girl either get what she paid for or her money back?

None of the questions are remotely closed to be gone over after taking the permit test twice and have never seen a single thing from this app even touch bases with what’s gone over especially the portion on insurance and money is never touched and is useless to the actual test. Do not use this app for your permit test it doesn’t not actually teach you anything for your test.

I suggest you take the 3 normal tests and then take the exam as many times as possible. I passed my permit text with no wrong answers.

I didn't take drivers ed or read the drivers manual before taking the learners permit test. I just studied the tests that were available on the app that didn't need to be paid for, for about 30 minutes before i took the actual test and i passed easy. The questions are very similar to the actual test so this app definitely helps. 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾

Please guys don’t buy this app I feel it’s super out of date because if I didn’t study from my motorcycle book from the DMV probably I would fail the test. The question you train it’s super super different than the test not even closed. I would like if the app send me my money back because I feel this is not value for almost 10 usd.

I was really nervous because my busy schedule didn’t allow me to take drivers ed before taking the permit test, and I wanted to get my permit as soon as possible. Use this app as much as you can, take the exam mode a few times and you should be fine. The test is mostly common sense, and you can always retake it right after👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

I downloaded this app with the hopes of studying to get my permit FOR FREE. I easily mastered the easy tests, but when I took the simulation test, hardly any of the questions were on the free tests. For anyone looking for a free helpful dmv app, this isn’t it.

I GUESS I’ll give it TWO stars because it’s a great app, but it only allows you to complete one thing then asks you to PAY. If I wanted to pay, I’d probably pass the CPL exams with flying colors, but the way I learn is to do the practice exam BEFORE I study THEN study and retake to get what I missed. I didn’t get a chance to study here prior to taking the actual exam and failed lol. I’m not blaming the app for that, but it wasn’t available for free for me to study on and I thought it was a FREE app.

But they need to fix grammar and misspelled words so you don’t get confused on the question. For example the test said Peace officer instead of Police officer.

New Jersey is written exam is notoriously difficult to pass. I know of 4 people who didn’t pass even their 2nd attempt. The paid version definitely included questions not available on the free.

First of all, two suggestions: 1) In addition to “tap answer to instantly submit” I propose to allow users to tap an answer and press a submit button separately before revealing whether it’s correct or not. This makes the app accessible to people who don’t have fine hand/eye coordination or deal with a small screen. It’s easy to tap the wrong answer and get penalized while you intended to tap the correct answer. 2) The bottom bar for is not following Apple guidelines. This bar is intended to be used to travel to different sections in an app, not as buttons, similar to ‘tabs’ in desktop apps. Why not show them as buttons instead? Anyhow I was disappointed to learn that the questions asked during the exam are much different from the ones in this app. Time to update the questions!

I genuinely loved this app and was almost finished with my practice exam and the whole format and tests changed and all my progress went down the drain. This app charges to take certain test which is ridiculous because this is temporary study option for a permit. I won’t need this for the rest of my life. This app is distasteful.

I downloaded this app to study for my permit test. I thought this would be useful considering my options were this or a hundred page State driving manual and I have a hard time actually learning from just reading something. I went into my test with confidence until about 5 questions in when I saw that literally none of the questions were even close to what I’ve seen. This app claimed to be helpful. Instead, I had 6 out of 13 right. Now I will have to make the next week miserable doing nothing but reading over and over all because you couldn’t deliver on your promise. Thanks 😒

This app is awesome! I used it to help pass the SC Motorcycle knowledge test and it was spot on. Use this together with reading the relevant chapters of your states Drivers Manual. Worked for me with no problems.

This app is very useful and helped me learn a lot in prep for taking the written test, but the new updates on here make it less convenient due to the fact that you’re now only limited to a test or two, unless you pay premium just to practice the extra things. To be honest, I think it’s BS, but, it’s also my fault for not studying and taking the test ahead of time before these kinds of updates existed.

I did the whole thing feeling confident don’t be fooled the test is nothing like the app and I failed you can’t get around reading the manual it’s good to practice but save the time money and gas and read the manual.

I really like this app, it’s been helping me study for my learners permit. The only thing is, I have trouble with the buttons sometimes. My fingers are big, the buttons are small, and I accidentally hit the wrong answer. Maybe make the buttons a bit bigger, or add some kind of “Is this your final answer?” thing. Still though, it’s a great app, and keep up the good work! Wish me luck for my official test!
