Love it. You can filter by verb tense or by verb stem. Incredibly helpful.

My son showed me this great app. It's really speeding up my ability to learn the verbs and their conjugations.

The only thing to make it better would be to add more: gerundif, audio, verbal constructions...

Before I get up and work out, I spend a half hour conjugating verbs in various tenses that helps increase my recognition, speech, and writing. I would give this app a 5 star if there was a way to hear pronounciations. I would also pay a higher amount for a version that has a verb timeline, when to use the tenses, and a web based progress tracker. Nevertheless, I feel that I'm getting my money's worth with the version I have, because there are so many more tenses to go. Conjugation Nation definitely polishes my French. Thank you!!!

I'm studying French in France and use this to test myself on the metro. This was exaclty what I needed something that made my type the answer so I can make sure I know the spelling. It has a pretty decent amount of words but It doesn't have as much words as I would like. it seems to have all the major ones that I've needed to study so far. All in all I really love this app, just wish it had a bigger word set so it could help improve my vocabulary a well. Great app worth every cent!!!

Very configurable. Big help. I would only change it to disallow empty answers for, say, a tenth of a second so a shaky finger touching the submit button twice instead of once doesn't cause a wrong answer. Most people won't have that problem.

Very helpful, great app.

It was hard to know what to think: stellar reviews and a low price. I was pleasantly surprised. Pros 1). Can choose quizzes that last 10 or 25 or 50 questions. You can also cut out early (more on that later). 2). The app keeps a mistake history which you can peruse. I've got dozens there and there's no limit stated. It's nice that they give the question: you can click to see the answer and/or your wrong answer. 3). The layout is neat and clear. 4). There's a dictionary for the verbs practised within the app. Also, this is where the conjugation tables can be viewed. 5). You can have a report with questions, answers, a percent score and a letter score sent to the email address of your choice. Letters are from F to A+. Wish list (not really Cons): 1). When you make a mistake, it'd be nice to be able to go straight to that verb's conjugation page. Or at least be lead there at the end of the quiz. 2). It'd be great if in addition to pronouns, you could have nouns. You know "le chien", "mes amis", "Charles et moi." 3). Learning verbs by type would be more efficient. Like the system in Bescherelle reference. You can deselect certain verbs, but it's kinda a chore. 4). The app does not give give j' for verbs starting with a vowel a mute h. Kinda wish it would because "je apporte" is distracting. 5). You can't make a quiz just of your previous mistakes. That would be a stellar feature. 6). I would love to see something like a Spot-the-Mistake feature: a set of conjugations with one mistake. You know how when you proofread and miss a few? 7). Sound. Would be cool. 8). When you dump outta a quiz early, you don't get a report card. Sad. 9). Text could be larger. An option to size up would be good. I know the wish list seems rather long, but, on balance, it's a great app for those of us who wanna do fun, timed conjugation quizzes. Easily worth 5x the price. Typed on my iPad

This app is pretty awesome for conjugating. It would be perfect if it would pronounce all the conjugated verbs.

Fantastic app. My conjugation skills have improved so quickly because of it. Feature request - during the review, it would be great to be able to see the whole conjugation page for a verb, not just the correct answer for that tense/pronoun.

This app is definitely one of the best ones to get if you want to learn French easily! There are so many options available for studying, and it's easy to use, too! I highly recommend buying this if you plan on learning French.

Fantastic app! Some knowledge of verb conjugations is advantageous, though not essential. Extremely fun to use.

Allows you which tenses you want to test yourself against so you can move at your own pace. Only suggestion would be to add audio if possible - or sentence examples in French & English

I'm studying French for my next post in West Africa. This app is perfect for my learning style and exactly what i needed (especially in the beginning). You select the verbs you want and the tense and it drills you. If you forget the verb, tap the screen and it tells you, if you're in over your head, swipe the screen and the conjugations appear. I used it to nail down the irregular verbs. This app is perfect for having on my ipad and drilling every time i get a few minutes. It gives you so many options to adapt it to what you need to learn. I've recommended it to many of my fellow students at the school I'm in. Well worth it.

This is perfect for reviewing multiple verbs in a quick, reliable, fun way. Most other verb drills in books and audio tapes are mind numbing, but this is actually fun, and helped me master a whole class of verbs in the present tense in just a few days. I second the request for audio options made by other commentators!

Please!!, Please!!, increase the amount of verbs, I would totally pay for it!!, and I believe many of us will. This application is the best to practice your conjugation for french verbs. It is amazingly easy to use. I just LOVE it!.

No problems, just really not worth the money.

It's an excellent application to review French verbs. Even just a few minutes a day made a huge difference for me.

I needed a verb conjugation reference and really wish this app would allow you to view the verb tenses in a list format for those not ready to take the quiz.

I've been using the app for a few weeks and it is very effective...I'd love the following additional features. # 1. Can there be a way to select all failed verbs in order to quiz on them? # 2. Audio! # 3. Have the option to show only the english translation as the hint, or even better, as part of an english sentence. For instance, "I danced until dawn" or "I doubt that you went".

I am a 60-year-old woman struggling to learn French. This app is very useful. I can practice whenever I have a few minutes to spare. I know it is very important to learn verb conjugation. I need all the help I can get! I appreciate this app.

Nice little practice app. Well made. It should really only cost 1.99 in my opinion. There are cheaper apps that do essentially the same thing, but maybe not look as nice. Also, be aware that it only displays the definition of the root verb, not a translation of the tense.

Great app for memorizing the conjugations.

I cannot begin to explain how perfect a study aid this app is. Below is a comment I made months ago, but a couple days ago I found that I could restore the older version of the app by toggling it on in iTunes (could not be accomplished the numerous times over the past few months I tried from my iPod); plus now the warning badge is gone. I am so glad to have it back. ---- Upgrade to 3.2 will not load on my iPod Touch with iOS 5.1.1, and iOS 6.0 is not available for iPod. I deleted the app in hopes of re-installing and getting rid of the update warning badge from the iTunes app store. Unfortunately Conjugation Nation will not re-install. I am going to miss this app.

I studied French a while back, and this app is great for brushin up! Highly recommeded, for beginners-advanced.

I love this app! So helpful in practicing and building confidence. It would be nice to have a mode where you practice words you’ve missed more frequently. There’s a bug with the « vous » form of the imparfait with reflexive verbs, where it does not recognize the reflexive pronoun « vous ». For example, « se promener » , if I write « vous promeniez » it says my answer is wrong and shows it in the history as just « promeniez ». This is different from how it handles reflexive verbs in the imparfait for all other persons.

The best app of all french learning apps. Much moe effective than writing conjugations because you use different verbs and tense. Highly recommend for verb practice. Fun too!

This is the most complete and flexible app for practicing the conjugation of French verbs that I have found. It is well designed and and easy to use. It could be improved by allowing the user to more specifically choose to practice regular vs irregular verbs, but this is a minor issue, given the excellence of the app in most other respects.

This is an okay app, not a great one. It lets you customize tenses so you can pace yourself, as well as customize the display time for the answers. That said, it has a lot of glitches. Sometimes it will tell you an identical answer is incorrect. I slowed the answer time down so that I could verify it wasn't just a typo or missed accent on my end. It definitely was a problem on their end. On a 50 question quiz, I counted 5 instances where right answers were calculated as incorrect and then when I was given the right answer, it was exactly what I had entered. Also, sometimes it gives the wrong pronoun, then when you enter your answer it marks it wrong, and provides another pronoun of near equivalent meaning--except that you can't change the pronoun in your answers, it's set by the app. It looks like whoever entered the verb put the wrong pronoun in on the question but right one on the answer, so it's detecting a mismatch and marking it wrong. Also, while you can turn off the grade, you can't turn off the score. Since the app makes the aforementioned errors in scoring, the score is relatively meaningless. I find myself having to keep track of the app's errors then adjusting my final score accordingly to more accurately determine how I did. It would be nice if I could turn it off so that I could just focus on my strengths and weaknesses.

Could you please add more common verbs like: étudier, réussir?

This app is great for practicing conjugations and preparing for exams. Would give a 5th star if I could make a custom study list based on my past mistakes.

The GUI is what I dislike the most. Very aesthetically unappealing. There is no landscape support. The option to turn off autocorrect does not work because when I am typing out the conjugations the iPhone tries to correct them into English. Other than these, it gets the job done, though you won't have very much fun doing it.

Great way to learn french tenses!!! the options allow you to remove some tenses to focus on the ones that need; well worth the $1! :D

I liked the fact that I could pick out the verbs I wanted to learn as well as the tense. My suggestion would be to make it a bit more of a game. Stars or bells when you get them right. I am using it to learn the irreg. future tense verbs. I had used it for the subjunctive and was able to learn. My suggestion is to make a short list of verbs.
