I’m currently learning German and I found this app so helpful. I bought VIP and it’s definitely worthy. There are native speakers in the community who can help with your learning and the learning procedure is very organized.

Chat rooms for practicing it will very helpful

I've tried almost everything. I have done duolingo, memrise, rosetta stone, clozemaster, frantastique, etc. I think this is one of the best for two main reasons: 1. along with all the other main methods of learning, it really tests your LISTENING and SPEAKING comprehension, which other apps completely fail to do. This app has full conversations, spoken by real people, in almost every lesson. It also has really difficult (but accurate!) voice-recognition, unlike duolingo which just assumes you said the right thing. It also has exercises (I think only for premium) at the end of lessons where you literally have to record yourself speaking, and then others will listen, grade, and comment on your pronunciation. How awesome is that? Number 2 reason is that it's cheap for a premium subscription, as of this review it's $10 for a month. This could be compared to Frantastique (high-end French app) which is excellent and one of the best, but is $60 per month!!! Ridiculous. Busuu is the way to go. But please note: if you are learning a new language, my advice is to try many many different paths at the same time. Do busuu, duolingo, youtube videos, read books... I honestly think that's the only way to becoming fluent. Thank you!

I am very impressed with this app. The voice recognition help with pronunciation! Is fun to use. My 7 year old loves it as well.

This is a good app and a good jumping off point from Duolingo. However, this teaches you Spanish as spoken in Spain. There are references to Latin American differences but the focus is Spain. I can get past the “ths” for “s” but it’s a drag having to learn the vosotros conjugation when it’s almost never used in Latin America. Also, the jump from A2 to B1 levels is crazy difficult as all of a sudden B1’s instructions are totally in Spanish at a level not taught in A2.

Please fix the dialogue section for Arabic. The app’s syntax often gets confused. Arabic reads and write from the right to left. But sometimes it places the words from left to right, you can’t read Arabic like that at all.

This app is very helpful. It not only gives you the formal and official informal, it also gives you examples of what locals would say. Sometimes the recording is a bit hard to understand, but you can slow it down to help listen better. Overall, this is a great app and I will continue to use it.

Can you please add Korean to the languages you can learn are you planning to put other languages or are the ones on here the only ones please respond back I really need to learn Korean.

Its a different approach to learning a language. I use this app in concert with a couple of others and i appreciate the focus on listening

I love this app. It offers a very good education, but the only mechanism I would recommend adding in is a chat function. I think being able to chat with other people with the language you’re trying to learn would be a great addition. It could expand the doors of friendship and interactivity within the app.

I downloaded this app to learn Korean which it clearly states that Korean is one of the languages provided in the details but when opened the app it wasn’t there😑

I love this app so much I know how to speak Spanish now

I’m paying for the membership as I’m learning French. The app is great and does a good job at teaching both vocabulary and grammar but there are still some issues. Why is there no way to view your words as flash cards? Sometimes I don’t want to use the “quiz” format. I want to see an English word and be able to translate it to French. Piecing together random French sentences won’t get me there... Why, after you’ve answered a question, does it not tell you the phrase or word in French? Like I said, I can piece together a random French sentence using context clues (it’s honestly the worst exercise format), but what the h*** did that sentence mean? It should translate it and should even read it aloud in the other language to reinforce it. These downfalls may convince me to use another language learning service.

I just started with rudimentary Spanish but I'm impressed with the way the app drills previous vocabulary/grammar/pronunciation mistakes...until one gets it right. I love it!

This is the best app for learning a new language! I think it could have a chat, so we can talk to people! This app is perfect!!!!

This could have been a five star review. I started learning Arabic a few days ago and downloaded this app (I had already learnt the alphabet, this app did not supply that). At first it looked like a dream app. Easy to use, great design, and very useful in teaching me what I needed to know. Then came the “pro” part. All of a sudden some locked lessons showed up, and I thought fine, whatever, it was just some extra quizzes and things I didn’t really need. Then, the most basic grammar lessons became completely unavailable. Then, every single grammar lesson became completely unavailable. The cost to purchase it is around $68 per year, and I can not pay at the moment, considering I’m out of country. Occasionally they offer a sale, but even then it’s extreeemely expensive, and there are cheaper alternatives which don’t lock up all of their grammar lessons and half of the vocabulary. Busuu, I understand you’re trying to turn a profit, but I recommend you lower prices or introduce adds instead because you’ve lost me as a user and you’re going to lose many more if you continue like this.

This application is excellent if you insist to continue along with it you will learn very quickly , it is the best app to learn languages!

The features are great and the app itself is very useful and effective for learning a new language. However, when I tried to purchase the 1 month plan for 9.99, they took out 5.99, and then 44.99 our of my debit card! I would appreciate it if I can get the subscription without having my money stolen from me! But I guess i learned something after all, I learned Spanish word I learned for what they call people who steal, LADRONES!

How can I just start off, when I first heard about Busuu, I was like no this is probably s***** then I was like let’s give it a try. I wanted to learn French so you gave me some words and sentences, then on my first day I learned new words and sentences. So I love Busuu so much and I rated it to 5 stars because I love it.💞💞💞 Je t’aime!💞💞💞

There are hardly any languages to choose from, the one I wanted to learn wasn’t included so I went with Italian, and as you progress it gives you more credit than u deserve, saying “you learned it” when you can’t even remember what letter it starts with and it’s just it helpful in general

I really want to learn Korean. Well, it doesn’t have that language. I’m sure other languages are nice to learn but they aren’t the language I want to speak.

Overall Great app, it’s just it doesn’t have the language I am currently trying to learn (Korean) so I had to resort to the second language I’m trying to learn (Spanish.) it would be great if in later updates you included Korean and stuff like that ❤️ But otherwise love the layout and the process in which it goes about in the lessons!

I have never stayed hooked onto a language learning app for this long. Busuu has me hooked. It’s has a seamlessly designed challenging course structure. It makes the material appear easy, but when you look at yourself after two weeks, you realize you could basically get around in that language. Love the concept of meeting people online over learning each others’ language. I have one suggestion though. I am learning Spanish and Portuguese on Busuu. Before I started Busuu, I was also learning Korean. I was slightly dismayed to find no Korean in Busuu. However, the quality of the Spanish and Portuguese courses have made me very happy with the app even though there is no Korean.

I love this game

This app is hands down better than any on the AppStore. It has useful and relevant lessons, teaches you vocabulary in a classroom type way, and lets you connect with native speakers. Although it might cost a little more for all the premium features, if you're serious about learning a language, it's money well spent.

They get 5 stars for premise, and -3 Stars for execution. It goes like this: - download app - APP: please buy a subscription (No thanks, I want to see what this app does) - APP: please sign up for social networking (No thanks, I want to see what this app does) - APP: please grade home work for other people (No thanks, I want to see if this app works for me, so I click “Assessment Test”) - APP: you MUST buy a subscription (Fine, I’ll click the Intro lesson) - APP: please BUY a subscription (Skip, do most of the lesson) - APP: please BUY A SUBSCRIPTION (Enough, uninstall) - Then receive 20 emails of: PLEASE BUY A SUBSCRIPTION (Block domain as spam) Busuu - it would be nice if you could possibly let new users try your product without demanding a subscription. And your “7 days free” gimmick needs to be redone to just provide the 7 days free and then STOP working if the user doesn’t want to pay then.

I love this app, but I do wish you would add korean. Every time there is an update I am just hoping there will be a Korean. Unfortunately it still has not happened. I understand it takes a long time to get one language down but I have been using this app for over 3 months. (Ik not that long) also I would like a Chinese and Japanese app too.

The lessons are very “real-world task” oriented. Interactive.

Ive been trying to take the japanese course and when i try to quiz the vocabulary it asks me to type what i hear. I think its a great way to learn but sometimes it requires it to be typed in romaji and sometimes in hiragana which is confusing and frustrating. Also sometimes it marks me wrong when it wants a period at the end even if the rest of the sentence is correct. This function is very aggravating.

I love this app I really do, and the fact that you get to learn by interacting with people who speak the language natively is amazing, but the thing is first off I didn’t realize so much would be locked to people who don’t have money to get premium. And I wish there were more of the speech segments where you get to speak or instead of telling you to repeat maybe give you a phrase in your native young and have you translate it through speech, in the language you are learning?

I wanted to learn a new language but they hit you for the fee before you even get into the material! In this day and age, why would I consent to giving you access to my subscriptions (on Apple) which means I will pay immediately at the end of a free trial, before I even see the material?!? Way too many times do these sorts of things end in erroneous or nearly impossible to cancel subscription billing. It is great we live in an era where we can access so much without going to the stores or school, but at least in those scenarios we didn’t have to pay before even walking in to the view material.

Great app but it when I study Chinese and Japanese I need to learn the alphabets first before I can proceed to further lessons.

The best language learning app ever!

I've used every language learning app out there and this is the one I'm paying for right now. It's worth it. I hire two Spanish tutors who I see multiple times per week, and this is equally helpful (minus all the trouble of scheduling a tutor). The UX is smooth and the pacing of progression can be as slow or quick as you want it to be. It also tracks and allows you to quiz on the vocab you've learned, so you don't have to build flashcard decks. Its social features seem like a bit of an afterthought, and you need human interaction to learn a language, but a tutor or dedicated language exchange app can fill that gap.

Trying to learn Spanish this app has helped me quite a bit. I do find a few issues, though. One big one is that when you get to a new word and it starts to teach you that word, it throws other words in a sentence at you that you haven’t learned or heard at all. Why do I have to use google to translate a sentence and learn a word you haven’t taught me yet to learn the proper meaning of a word you’re teaching me in the same lesson?? Another issue I have is that there seems to be no great revision of what you learned. I can keep going on with lessons but it makes no sense if I have already forgotten a few words from the previous lessons. I can go back to the other lessons, but going through them again is almost a hassle cause it baby steps you through them like it’s the first time all over. The quizzes are also an issue cause I want to retake quizzes but they’re not only the exact same questions, but also the exact same order. Making it a memory of the question game and not of the actual words and language them self. Needs improvement and I hope they work on the program itself.

I just started the lesson and found I could do it with voiceover but I have to turn voiceover off to switch pages and I cannot match terms with voiceover at all. Please keep working on it as it is difficult for me to see what to do on the screen.

Busuu is a language learning app that can be used offline and is therefore very portable. The app allows students to take a pretest to determine at which level they should start their own learning. The app offers vocabulary and an audio dialogue for free. The vocabulary lists are presented with pictures and audio and are set up as flashcards with quick comprehension checks throughout the exercise. The vocabulary lists are extensive and pertain to topics that a person living in or traveling in a French speaking country would potentially need to know. This makes the learning more relevant to the real world for my students. The dialogue sections offer listening comprehension with a cloze activity. If you are looking for a way to increase your vocabulary in French, this is a good app. It is not set up like a game, so it is simply memorization and listening practice. There are quiz options, writing sections, and a way to have native speakers check your work. However, these extra activities are only available with a paid subscription. The mobile app indicates the activities that are free with a blue icon and those that need to be part of a subscription with a gold icon. There are many more activities with the subscription than without. Also, with high school students, it is a privacy issue to have them communicating online with people that they do not know, so I would not be able to encourage the use of that feature. I really like the ability for the students to move at their own pace and to learn relevant vocabulary. I would recommend this app to my students with that goal in mind.

UX is bad for the assessment when i first install the app. I do not understand what i have to do intuitively. Additionally, automatic approves are ok for normal scenarios, but it’s bad for assessment (because they are newbies to your app)

Ok so I love this game it really helps me but every time I get on the app I try’s to get me to get the premium version and I don’t want it. So please if you could fix this that would be nice!

This app is absolutely the best language learning app out there, but I don’t like the “premium” thing. It stops me from taking quizzes or even doing whole lessons, just because I don’t have the money to pay for it. Please fix this, I just want to learn a language without paying.

I absolutely love this application! It really taps into key learning esthetics that allows the beginner (like me), to really grasp the concepts of the words meanings; as well as key phrases in which they would be used. This app is very user friendly and graphics are a must in my book! I’ll be speaking French in no time!!

This app was great when I was learning Japanese, but when I wanted to learn Korean it didn’t have it available so it won’t be 5 stars from me. Sorry.

I like that you can connect with people who speak the language you’re learning! I find myself going back to older lessons often...It’d be nice to have a translation option underneath the sentences - night mode option please :) Nice app but not my favorite.

I’ve only done one lesson but I’m already so impressed! I’ve never used an app where I could actually get feedback on pronunciation! I’m much better than learning to read languages than speak them and this is going to help a lot! And no in-app purchases, at least not that I’ve encountered. Gracias busuu! ♥️

In the vocabulary section, there should be an English text under the information that gives you an idea of how to say a word. For example , “hi” in Russian should read under it, “Privyet”

I like the app, but it would be better if there was an option to have everything unlocked, maybe even with ads. I am missing a lot of important verbs and verb conjugations that I can only get if I purchased the whole thing. Otherwise, I really like this app. I like the grammar hints it has thrown into the lessons.

Great app, the lessons are short and easy to remember. The only annoying thing is when reviewing Japanese, it will only accept romaji on some words, kata on others. I know the words, but get them wrong because I’m using the wrong alphabet. I’d give the app 5 stars in a heartbeat if they’d fix the Japanese review to either accept both romaji and kata as correct answers or tell me which one to use.

Liking it so far, speaks clear, but a bit too fast for someone trying to learn for some of these words. Love the little g** bits between lesson pages.

It may be because I’m on the free trial right now, but this app seems really effective and fun! It really does well to cover all the styles of learning, “see say do!,” (i.e. seeing saying and doing) in order to retain—or try to—and getting people to be each others’ teachers is ingenious. #JOBWELLDONE

I just downloaded the busuu app and finished off with the first set of exercises. All seems pretty intuitive and easy to navigate. Overall good first impression! ;)

Check the fine print with this app!!!. I was charged 72.00 at the end of the free trial with no notification or warning. I didn’t see that it would also charge for the whole year automatically. Hoping for a refund cause I don’t even use this app.

I’ve really enjoyed Busuu as a supplement to my Spanish studies— the vocabulary is very useful for travel/living in Spanish speaking countries or working in Spanish.

I like how busuu sets a goal it makes me actually want to learn knowing that I’ll know enough to be able to have a full conversation in like 2 months.

It’s a really good app and you get a lot of help from the native speakers of the language you’re studying. Plus that just the free part but I’m to poor to afford a subscription XD. I wish I had more access but what I have available now has really helped out with my improvement in Spanish.

There needs to ALWAYS be the native language translation following a question. When only the words in a sentence from the language you are learning is displayed and you don’t know some of the words a display of the correct result AND the native language answer should be displayed for review.

Having lived in France and tried scores of apps to help with my French, I can say that Busuu is the only one that comes even remotely close to learning in an immersive environment. I’ve been waiting years for someone to revolutionize language learning through apps, and Busuu has finally cracked it.

I’ve tried all the popular, fun, and quick witted versions. But after actually pairing It with online face to face tutoring, busuu is the most effective for me. It tells you your level and reinforces weak areas until you effortlessly correct them.

I personally think it’s great! It helps you really understand the word and how to say it. I suggest that you write all the words down though so you can remember them later, this app really does help!

I’ve always felt like Duolingo didn’t really teach me as much. I felt like I was just clicking stuff and memorizing it. Busuu tells you why a word or phrase is how it is. Idk... I’ve been using it on the go for 5 days nonstop and it’s great. I just wish it had more languages to teach better than any other language app.

Why get a free app but have to pay

I’m glad that the Portuguese version is now more complete. I’m glad it has more grammar and exams and certificates for each level. I love the community!

My favorite of all the language learning apps I’ve tried!

For someone who can’t afford to take college classes or doesn’t do well in big settings I think this is a marvelous app and you can pay $35 a year and throughout the year and you get unlimited learning. Highly recommend this to anyone wanting to learn another language for a trip or just for a hobby.

I enjoy using it almost as much as Instagram lol. I just think they should show the English translations under everything, like give us an option to see it if we wanted to.

I’m learning Japanese with busuu. It is fun and easy.

I’m barely in my 5th session trying to refresh and to learn a little more French from my only course I took in college two year ago and it’s been great! They give you notes that you could take on a notebook so you don’t forget. They do you quizzes and make you review weak words. And take you out of your comfort zone by pushing you to actually write or speak the language and then native French speaking people can correct you on whatever your wrong. It gives me confidence that I could actually be able to speak it. So far so good! Premium is so worth it.

This interface is great for learning a language — so I purchased one of the plans. However, even once I spent some money, they won’t stop badgering me with ads for their more expensive, Premium plan. It’s really annoying, and does not make me want to spend any more money on this product than I already did.

Very easy to use and navigate through.

I think Busuu is a great application.I have given it four stars because I am still learning how to use the application. When I feel proficient with the software I will come back and give it a five star rating. I'm really excited to be using it for Spanish and Japanese.

My only issue is that when asking to practice certain exercises it asks me to listen to words we haven’t learned before and fill them in, so it takes me a while to get through that because I’m pretty much guessing until I get it right Other than that I like the app, it is really good for conversational language learning

Being able to speak with native speakers is well worth the subscription. App is well set up and more dynamic than other language learning apps. ¡Muy bien!

It fits my schedule and keeps me engaged while accomplishing my goal. Having the option of increasing my activity daily while being consistently involved with the language helps tremendously.

So slow and teaches you things you don’t need to know in the beginning! Try Duolingo, it is so much better!

This app has help me learn many phrases and words. Hopefully our goal is to be fluent! I recommend to download if your trying to learn spainish.

So, I’m struggling with this weird problem that every time I go to take a weekly test( I’m still not past the Iraq one m) after the first question a label pops up with words “Vocabulary Trainer ,make sure you never forget the words you’ve learned” and under it there is two buttons “Learn More” and “Cancel” if you chose learn more, it will put you to this another label, which is asking you to buy premium. And if you press Cancel it will send you back to the home page. That problem comes up every time I want to take the test, which I can’t because of that reason. Can I please get some help, or you just have to pay to take the test?! But other wise the app is great.

I gave it 5 stars because the free version really is 5 star quality, I love it!!! I love it so much that I was really considering buying the premium but $12.99 for a month is just outrageous, especially since the premium is only slightly more content.

It’s a nice application to learn English

Busuu is the best language learning app I’ve ever used. I love that it’s organized into lessons and abides by the European Framework of Languages. I am a high school French teacher and I use it to teach the curriculum. The vocabulary and the grammar is up to date and useful. I have also used it to learn Spanish myself! It’s like taking a language course but at your own pace.

I found that the most effective learning method for learning a second language is to identify the most common words and practice them in a manner where it integrates with real-life scenarios. Bussu teaches by an out-dated thematic approach. I had much more success with Pimsleur. Also, read the fine print. They will auto renew and will not refund you. I paid $60 for a year of service I’ll never use. They do not care about the customer.

Busuu is a great app. I love how busuu walks you through speaking new languages. I also love that it shows pictures to go along with the words and how busuu will translate the new language that you are learning into the language that you already speak. I also love how busuu has the “listen and repeat” stages where you can repeat the new language you are learning so that you can learn how to actually say the new word that you have learned. I love how busuu has added the buddying thing. That way, you and your buddy can help each other out in learning new languages. And they even pull up the buddies that are learning the language that you already know, and that speak the language that you are learning! 😀 And busuu is even FREE. Now you don’t have to waste your money on other dumb apps that cost like a million dollars every year. I was wanting to learn German because half of my family was from Germany. I was looking for apps that would teach me this, but all of them costed money-until I found busuu. I would definitely recommend busuu to others in need of learning new languages. It is a great way to learn, AND A GREAT WAY TO HAVE FUN WHILE DOING IT!!!!!😁😁😁😁😁

This app seemed promising. I purchased the one year hoping to get better features but was disappointed. The paid version is almost identical to the free version and the selling point of getting more than one language at once does not help anyone who is seriously learning a language. I speak English, Brazilain Portuguese, and I am learning Italian in Italy and I can 100% guarantee that if you try to learn more than one language at the same time then you will mix up the sounds and not be a master of any. The other thing is that I was hoping that paying would allow me to avoid correcting other people’s grammar and for mine to be checked by people with a more solid background instead of a random person who may or may not speak the language properly. The other issue is that it uses a lot of direct translation from your language into the new language so your just memorizing without it becoming natural yo use. To fix this I changed the app language to the language that I am learning and then the answers were given to me in the questions, making this one of the most useless paid language learning apps. When I reached out to them before my month was up about the features they just quoted what was on the site (like a robot) Then I asked to pay for the month that I use and to get a refund for the rest of the year but they refused. This has taken my dislike of the app and anything that this company produced to another level. If it works for you, use the free version because you will only waste money to pay.

Tried several language learning apps, and I personally like this one best! Its ability to keep you engaged, develop a study plan, and give you a goal to shoot for (actual language proficiency test) make it stellar. I’m early into it, but hopeful!

Just started this week and really enjoying this app with its multiple quizzes. Especially love that’s there’s a community to help you write and speak! Also there’s a prononciation feature (without the help of the community) that is great for shy and unconfident learners.

Busuu is very helpful, but needs more exercises to truly become proficient. It would be helpful if they offered optional written exercises within each lesson. Students could submit a photo of their work for correction.

I have had 8 apps to try and learn spanish, and this one is the best. But, if I have a question there is no customer support that I can find to get help. Also,I use this app on my iphone 6s and some of the answers are too low on my phone unless I remember to flip the page up a little. I also can not understand the man or the woman when a statement is being made on a particular page. I donot like so much audio usage. I want to use this whenever I have a few minutes while I am around other people, but I donot want to be rude with the sound from this app.

I’ve been looking far and wide for a good language learning app. Duolingo and Rosetta Stone have nothing on this app. I’ve got a decent proficiency in German, and it’s like the app knows exactly where I need to put in more work, all the while teaching things YOULL ACTUALLY USE!!! That’s been my favorite part; the vocabulary is very relevant and I can immediately use what I learn. Whereas in Duolingo, they force you to learn animals, then colors, then clothing, then food, and you’re putting in all this time and still can’t speak anything useful. This app is the exact opposite and their placement test was spot on for me. Definitely recommend!!!!!

This is an app with a placement test that met me right where I’m at in my Spanish level. I’ve taken four semesters in college and spent 8 months in Spain, but that was eight years ago. My Spanish knowledge is pretty extensive but has lots of room to grow. So jumping right into more difficult vocab and verb usages was perfect. I couldn’t handle another app or program that had me practicing Good Morning and Good Night.

So far I really like it. It’s a very thorough app. I was able to test into a higher level Spanish, so I didn’t have to redo all of the basics I already knew.

Better curated, with grammar lessons, more of a “social network” feel with a mature user base. Overall my favorite language learning program.

I would appreciate it if Busuu offered more languages. I’m trying to also learn Korean and can’t find other apps as nice as Busuu. I’m currently learning German and Japanese and love the app!

I have not used Busuu for very long, but I love it. It is methodical in its teaching and very effective. It is separated into categories based on subject. You learn vocabulary, practice it, take a test, and have a conversation. It can be corrected by native speakers. It is a great way to connect with other language learners.

As a former French teacher, I appreciate the multi-faceted strategies for acquisition this app uses. And grammar lessons? The first app to do so! So important and so well positioned here, after the in-context application of the language at hand.

I like it bc it tells me the word in a sentence and it starts slow and gradually gets harder. One thing u don’t like about it is u have to pay for certain parts and I wish all of it was free.

Great interface, nice social accountability, and it's not afraid to throw you into the deep end from time to time.

I like this app a lot better than Duolingo, unlike Duolingo, it doesn’t run on negative feedback or word repetition. Right away it starts with really easy life-relevant phrases, which makes it far more fun to learn. This way the words are in context and are actually retained. Plus I feel right away that what I learned is useful and I’ll be able to use even phrases in lesson one to already understand basic conversation.

I studied linguistics and several languages and this is easily the best primer for language learning I’ve come across in the form of an app

After a few weeks, I learned a lot more than just words. Grammar and pronunciation as well. Busuu provides a lot of hints on grammar, which are necessary for proper learning, understanding and usage. Having native speakers correct your exercises is a great feature, especially with oral quizzes. Certainly worth the price. I spoke German and French fairly fluently, but haven’t used either in ages. I will use Busuu to refresh them, once I have made the time. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

I give busuu 4 stars because this app is not fully advanced.When they test me on saying the words I say the wrong thing on purpose and on the third try it said it was correct. So I gave busuu only 4 stars. So until busuu can fix that I will only give busuu 4 stars.😀😀

Things that will help people in learning in any language. 1.) Explain sentence structure in any language and compare to native language 2.) Vocabulary should be listed with audio but with conjugation formats. 3.) Explain conjunction forms in more depth. The reason being is most native language speakers really do not understand even their own language basics. Also do not call the language basic in learning language form, first display it in native language with the translation as it would be in the learning language. 4.) Do not delete user downloads because the app updates. You want people to continue learning at all hours. If there is an update send a push notification that an update is available. Rosetta Stone has mastered this. 5.) Eliminate the social element I find it embarrassing and makes people feel as if they failed. A language a user is learning may have certain accents or stresses on certain letters that they have not learned yet and on the composing sections they get corrected and feel discouraged, Not everyone knows what letters need stresses or tildas also may not know how to do it and then they get corrected even though the structure is correct. Most importantly listen to suggestions for your app and not get offended when someone offers these suggestions.

I've used Duolingo for 2 years now to learn German, and hit a wall where I felt like I was no longer advancing. My mastery of vocab was good, but I wasn't sure if I was pronouncing anything correctly, and I was totally unclear on grammar. I couldn't understand even a simple children's show in German. Busuu filled in those gaps, and added context to the vocab. Now I feel like I'm well on my way to actually having a working knowledge of the language.

I don’t like how if you wanna take a quiz or memorize what you leaned for money. I feel like it should be free. But everything else is great!

I have been studying Spanish for over 10 years, mostly using audio-only programs. I tried a few online programs, and ended up using Busuu the most. Nothing beats practice, and Busuu helps me learn new vocabulary and practice using. It.

The repetition really makes you think and learn. I wish it had more audio sometimes , so I could use it without looking at my phone or screen.

I would actually spend money on this app except for one major issue: the app is almost completely broken with respect to the grading of my spoken exercises. As a novice with the Polish Language, Busuu presents lessons in a cohesive manner teaching one how to handle everyday situations. It incorporates the " most feared Polish grammar " into the vocabulary by the use of simple sentences. It gives one the natural feel of the declensions while learning new words. The Phone APP allows me to learn on the run in my very busy life. The utilization of native speakers is invaluable. I give it a 4/5 as nothing gets a 5. Dziękuję Bardzo busuu !

I have tried many apps to learn French but this one seems structured and provides multiple options to practice learning.

This is great for vocabulary, but make sure if you don’t know another alphabet, (Turkish, Arabic, Chinese, etc) then you need to learn it first.

Whether a novice or bilingual there is something in this learning sequence for every speaker.

Practicing lessons are intuitive and fun.

I have been using Busuu for about 3 months now. I really like the ability to choose to respond to a prompt by speaking or typing and to have it corrected by a native speaker. The lessons are what you would expect from a language learning app. I would recommend adding Busuu to anyone trying to practice learning a language and it is fun to finally finish a lesson and see your progress.
