Antharia's Review of Libterm
Reviewed on 4/21/20 1:25 PMThis is a great terminal app for iOS. New or existing textfiles can be edited with the edit command which is nice. Is there any way that a new color scheme can be incorporated into the app like amber on a black background? Thanks.

Reviewed on 4/21/20 1:25 PMI use this app to edit and test python scripts from iCloud Drive. For that, it works amazingly. I use this to run them and external editors like Textastic to edit the code. The only very significant downside that this app has is that it doesn’t support keyboards on the iPad that well. For example if you could use up arrow to cycle through command history or use tab to auto complete this app would easily be 5/5 stars. It adds a much needed application to iOS that makes my iPad even closer to being able to replace my MacBook Pro.

Reviewed on 4/21/20 1:25 PMIt says you can code Python 2.7 scripts, but there is no editor so you cannot.

Reviewed on 4/21/20 1:25 PMWhen I tried to use SSH, it tried to sell me an app. Read some reviews to make sure it will do what you want it to. Or find a different one. There are enough terminal apps in the App Store. Uninstalled.

Reviewed on 4/21/20 1:25 PMThis is a great app. But I can’t seem to read 3rd party files. Second problem is I don’t know how to be connected. And I have a question: what is exactly ‘help.pub’? Thanks!

Reviewed on 4/21/20 1:25 PMThere is no operators!!! Just a couple commands. Only useful thing is ping. Google cloud console app has an actual terminal on a server for free

Reviewed on 4/21/20 1:25 PMI’m just getting my feet wet, so I know a lot more is possible. I’d consider this indispensable for anybody who wants to play with Python locally on the run. In the metro I might have insecure servers, or no internet connection at all. Besides, who works on a phone and wants it to be useless without an internet connection? This little app has tremendous potential: The more users it could get, the better it could be. Excuse me, but I envision an army of user-developers, contributing to an environment that is like a hand-held (fully-functional) computer. I’d love that.

Reviewed on 4/21/20 1:25 PMThere’s not much included with this, other than ping and basic Whois information available. Even something as basic as an ssh client/shell results in nothing more than a prompt to pay for something else that actually accomplishes something. Not terrible, but there’s just not much here.
