I needed to run and manage ten different tunnels on a recent project and Core Tunnel really helped! I work on multiple computers between home and office, so the sync feature was really appreciated :)

I’ve tried quite a few SSH tunnel apps, and this one (and its predecessor SSH Tunnel) are the most intuitive to use and least bug-prone. Only thing keeping it from 5 stars at the moment is you have to manually re-install an external library (which I assume they can’t bundle for some legal reason) every time the app is updated. It’s a known issue and will hopefully streamline that bit in the future.

I purchased SSH Tunnel a while back and today switched to Core Tunnel after getting the EOL notice for SSH Tunnel. Its a good app - bought a lifetime license within an hour. My only suggestion would be for the developer to add a time-limit to tunnels when using the unpaid version, to encourage support of the paid version. Maybe five hours.

Let's be honest here, managing ssh tunnels isn't going to be sexy in the slightest, but this application at least gives you one place to do so with a nice graphical interface. You don't have to spend time looking up arcane options to add to a ssh config file, everything is right here along with some basic help. You can easily control groups of tunnels from a nice menu bar icon. Yes, there are other, and free, ways to accomplish the same thing, but you'll spend more time setting them up and more time managing them. Thoughtfully the developer allows you to try out the application with a single connection. Documentation is lacking, but if you go to HELP > FAQ you'll find some clear explanations of what your connection options are and how to set them up. Overall, if you have a need for this type of application, I'd say this is worth your money. Go for the "Lifetime" option, as long as the developer doesn't yank support within 3 years it will be the best value.

This is a fantastic app! I do NOT write app reviews, but the level of attention to detail and craftsmanship that went into it is so clearly amazing through the user experience, speed, and dependability of the app that I had to write this. I *live* in my command line and actively try to find ways to avoid leaving it (context switching cost, speed lost when I have to use a mouse instead of my keyboard, etc.), and I use a messy collection of aliases to manage all my tunnels, jump boxes, and so on. This app is a worthy exception and has made me rethink my entire approach to managing my SSH connections. I was wowed by how easy it is to recreate my long ssh tunnel setup commands into a shareable, working tunnel inside the app. The graphical representation of the connection is nice, too, and best of all, it’s incredibly fast. It’s also so easy to use, I didn’t have to read anything at all, I just clicked around for a few minutes & grokked its design right away—superbly done. The developer is so friendly, professional, and prompt—I accidentally purchased the “old” version of this app, but I followed the procedure linked to in the app and he got back to me within minutes with a code and a friendly “welcome to the club” message. This is a person who is really on top of everything and very detail oriented.

It has been very hard to find a good SSH tunnel program until now. I had tried all other GUI applications for mac tunneling and just not liked them. I have been using terminal and keeping all my tunnel commands in Notes until now. The clean inteface is also a very nice addition.

I’m trying to purchase lifetime premium license and Core Tunnel just won’t allow me to do so. Every time I try it’s stating that I have to switch MAS country to U.S., I switch it and then it just reports some kind of error. Sick and tired of this silly subscription model. Just let us purchase your app via App Store or directly on your site.

Compared with SSH Tunnel I’m seeing a greater amount of diagnostic info available at a glance for connections. I have it configured to jump through a bastion server to my target MSSQL db with no issues. Great product and signed up for Pro lifetime account after using for a few hours. I’m sure I could do the same via cli and some bash scripting but don’t really want to invest the time for every additional connection I need to make. For me this is a time saver.
