My app just stop working today. I’m unable to email files. I need help

I haven’t used this app in a while, but want to again. Why will it not allow me to send via email anymore? It just hangs and says “upload pending”....

It takes excellent images and is loaded with features, but many basic commands are hard to find. Quite unintuitive.

When I try to save, this app simply crashes on my iPad 12.9.

They’ve since been allayed. Saves tons of time and space. A solid and easy to use utility app.

It takes forever to recognize half of the stuff i scan when it does it’s alright the quality’s not as good as the other apps there’s a better app and it’s free and it recognizes it really quick the app is called Evernote scan I’ve been using scanner pro for years and it still hasn’t improved Evernote is relatively new so thats sad that is better and is my go to app until the developers of scanner pro make it as good as that app and scanner pro has been around for years so it’s sad that i had to switch and which is why i gave it two stars is only because it’s very easy to save to files and etc...

I don’t usually take the tome to write reviews but this one was worthy of my time. I had a bunch of textbooks that I was going toss out but I bought this app and gave it a try. It’s fast and takes very high quality images. The OCR takes documents and turns them digital so you can copy and past any of the text you scan. I would buy again and I e been sharing the app with my family. Great quality and with every penny.

This is the best scanning app I have tried—and I have tried a dozen or so! For the 70% of the time that distortion removal works, it is great! Two small complains with an otherwise stellar product: 1. App is inconsistent in how it deals with shadows on the page. Unfortunately, this is a constant annoyance as there are almost always some shadows unless you have improbably perfect light—in which case, you probably have better options for scanning than an iPhone! The result is that about 10% of pages require a retake or two before a clean scan is obtained—and maybe 5% of pages require a half-dozen tries to even get an acceptable scan, never mind a good one. Considering how hard it is to find lighting where the phone itself does not cast a shadow on the page, the app should handle this better—on this it is clearly behind others. 2. App can be quite badly behaved with longer documents. Somewhere around around 15-20 pages, app sometimes crashes. Fortunately data seems usually to be preserved so you can pick up where you left off but it is annoying. Some rough edges notwithstanding, this remains the best scanning app I have so far found.

I am glad I have this app. Its very helpful and handy. I was trying to scan a long paper but Its too long it didn’t fit on my scanner with printer had problem solving how to manage it. But I remember I have this app.! Managed to scan it my documents without having any difficulty. Solved!!!!

I really like this app, and I want to give it five stars, but until you stop asking me EVERY SINGLE TIME I upload to enable auto upload, I will not give you over three stars. I upload things to so many different locations, there is no way auto upload will ever make sense. So please, give us away to say “I don’t ever want to auto upload, stop asking me to enable this feature”.

I have used Scanner Pro for years and never had an issue. Now I just got the "Updated for iOS 12" version and it crashes on start-up. Duration it runs is variable (Max 30seconds). I will not update to iOS 12 yet, and I did not see a warning saying this new version is not backward compatible with older iOS. I hope this is only a temporary glitch and I can adjust the star rating back to 5 because I otherwise very much liked this app. I can not get into the app to contact the creator, so I hope they monitor these rating comments and fix this soon.

Another commitment to the customer and product! A free upgrade! A true time saver, Organizer. There is never a reason to lose documents, scan them, email them, upload them. A must have for sales professionals. Integrates nicely with Concur. Thanks for the Folders. I have been using Readdle Apps for a long time. I can say Readdle's customer support is responsive and helpful. They will work with you until it works and it always has. Buy it you will not be sad!

I absolutely love this app it takes great photos and copies of documents or photos. I took a picture of a photograph with my iPhone the picture was grainy. I scanned it with Scanner Pro an the picture was perfect and gorgeous of my niece and it’s using the same camera. I can scan a five page document save it attach it to an email and have it sent in a couple of minutes as opposed to many minutes using my printer/scanner and laptop computer. Love it. Thank you for a great app.

Just like the video. Turns a paper into a perfect scan and completely removes distortion. The only suggestion is that the OCR isn’t as as it can get (Acrobat Pro is phenomenal with it).

Many scans did not get sent- so I wrote them, and they refuse to refund me. They said I must go the iTunes. They further denied any responsibility, accused me of not knowing if my phone was set up properly.“ I wrote back “I have no way of checking the scans to see how or why they weren’t sent. As your team can not take responsibility for the losses, I am in contact with Apple..”

I’ve had and used this app for a couple of years. It is fantastic how easily I can convert a document into a PDF and then share it. I recently had a 39 page, hard copy document that I needed to share with someone on the other coast. While I was on phone with them, I scanned and emailed it. They were so impressed that they insisted on knowing what app I used to do it. Fantastic!

The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was because the OCR needs improvement on things like receipts. I tried to scan my receipts to put into a database that can parse all of the data to the proper categories, but most receipt quality is not great. So I did some experiments to see if it was only the quality of the receipt text, because I realized that if it was totally unrecognizable it would be impossible for any OCR. So I first did a scan of the whole receipt, with yielded many mistakes. So then I used the iPhone photo app to edit the same image many times, each time cropping off areas, leaving only the text that the OCR made mistakes on. This effectively zoomed in on the text, and each time the OCR had an easier time recognizing the text. I did this multiple times, zooming in on every area of the receipts, until it had recognized the entire receipt. So, since it is obviously possible the scanner app could do something similar and end up recognizing the whole receipts

You can’t do simple things with this software without paying for additional apps. For instance, if you want to save as a PDF you have to buy another app $10. You can’t make a simple copy and rename it as a second file. So you can reduce the size And email it. The list goes on and on. They have some work to do with this software

Excellent multipurpose scanner!

I have used this and many other Readdle apps for a few years. While this scanner used to be good, it just doesn’t work well anymore. If the lighting is perfect the scanner works. If it’s too bright or dim all scans come out with a blue tint. Pretty much unusable outdoors. I hope the rest of Readdle’s apps don’t start going downhill like this one.

Works good! User friendly; I was able to scan and email from the app with no trouble.

The thing I love best about this app is the attention to detail. When you drag the corner of the crop box to the corner of your document, a little zoom window pops up to help you precisely find the corner. And it pops up far from where your finger is. That’s just one example. This app is awesome. I have a flatbed scanner. I don’t use it anymore.

I paid $7 for this app years ago and now it doesn’t even take photos! Very frustrated. Please fix this bug ASAP!

I needed to scan some documents, obviously. I decided to opt for this app because I figured hey it’s payed and will be less of a hassle vs the free apps. So after paying for this app I was unable to get it to work properly and my documents kept coming out over saturated with color. As if it’s lack of functionality wasn’t enough this app is also not free to continue using even AFTER YOU PAY TO “purchase” THE APP! This app needs a subscription!!! I bought and then deleted this app with the hour. Download and used a free one without any other headaches or hassles. Skip this one!

I'm using this App on both my iPhone and iPad and think it's wonderful -- caveat, I'm a very new user. I'd give it 5 stars except for one thing: you can delete a scan on your iPhone, but NOT on the iPad. Unless I'm totally missing how it can be done, I can't locate delete!!! Help, please?

This is a good app for scanning but it doesn't have editing pdf capabilities like adobe reader has, ive literally have to scan it and use another app to edit my pdf also you cant rotate/flip pdf other scanner app I've tried all had editing, rotating/flipping PDF files. If they add this feature it will make this app the ultimate scanner app.

I have been using Scanner Pro for about 2 years now. All of a sudden it is no longer responsive. Not sure what to do because I have lots of important documents here. Help I am confused and others beware this could happen to you. I am using an iPhone X.

I bought this app out of desperation as I am in Germany and needed to scan a bunch of documents on a national holiday. It allows you to do as many pages as you need together in one PDF and automatically sizes and crops them. Super App and a life saver for me. Well worth the small fee.

I’ve used this app for a couple of years now. It always works perfectly and is easily the most useful app that I have ever used.

I’m with the other reviewer. The app all of a sudden lost all my saved documents, and just freezes when I try to scan anything. EDIT: rebooting iPhone (X) seems to have fixed it.

I’ve using this app for years for scanning documents with my phone. I think it was the first document scanner app for the iPhone. Extremely easy to use and convenient, the app is perfect.

I was blown away by this app when I had to scan multiple pages. It was so fast and scan was perfect! I recommend!

Some scans are not showing up in the app, yet shows up in iCloud. Why??? 😤 Ok, this is getting ridiculous. My scans are all over the place. Could someone fix this? Not all of my scans are showing up! 😡

I was an early adapter to Readdle’s product line. Scanner Pro was my gateway drug. This app hasn’t left the front page of my phone apps the entire time I’ve used it. While I’ll occasionally try other calendar or productivity apps, I will never give another scanner app the light of day. This one’s simply too versatile and feature-packed. Readdle doesn’t disappoint.

I was using primarily another scanner to perform scans and it is still a good scanner but Scanner Pro surpasses all I have tried in terms of the clarity and ease of editing pictures. I scan many things but mostly chapters from textbooks not available in digital form because my eyesight is not so great. With other scanners the chapters would take forever to process, plus the editing left me with a less than desirable shape that was almost impossible to highlight. With this, no matter how the book is bent, the scan comes out perfectly straight and functional, plus the scans are much brighter and easier to see. Even when I must edit some of my hasty scans, no matter how wonky my edit seems I still end up with a perfectly straight result. Also, if you use the other Readdle products it makes it very easy to process then send to, in my case, PDF Expert where I do the majority of my markups, notes and storing of all of my school material. This app has been a real timesaver and of all of the other scanning apps, has the best quality and share functions. Scanner Pro also keeps a library of my scans, where the files are big enough to read, even on my small iPhone 8, which is great, so I am not hunting for certain scans I need to email out, quickly and haven’t had any problems with returned emails due to size issues which I have experienced with other scanners outputs so the overall file size must be smaller but with a better quality scan. This is definitely my “to go to scanner“, now.

I was stuck away from the office and had to scan, compile and email a fairly large number of documents. I was able to scan them very quickly with this app and each scanned page was highly legible and perfectly aligned. Scans with this app rival those of a desktop scanner.

it captures and auto trims pretty well have had no issues when there are defined spots. i would give it a 5 but have a pet peeve mostly when it can not auto trim i do appreciate the manual trim and also is not an issue but when i save selection it is not in my scan directory or any where but have to push save again in the top left. it's a pet peeve but i did find i just wish the first save meant save and there was some kind of cache in where you look at them in this app.

This app lacks basic iOS shortcuts. Please add the ability to dismiss a scan by swiping down similar to how the photos app allows you to dismiss pictures. Also, the addition of 'left swipe to go back' functionality would make it easier to navigate throughout the app on larger iPhones.

Since the last three or four updates it’s been causing my device to heat up. I’m sure they will fix it . It really still is the greatest and my most used app . I have hundreds of apps but none can compare. Thank you guys

The quality, functionality, and ease of use of this app is truly AMAZING!

I’ve owned this app for a LONG time. I’ve tried others, and just keep coming back. It’s page detection is excellent, PDFs are good quality and quick to OCR. I do a lot of research and spend time in our University library and I used to be down in the compact storage area and after cranking those giant shelves around and gathering up the volumes I needed I’d have to check them out if that room to get to ancooy machine, but they’ve bound the journals into 6” thick books you can’t get a great scan without breaking it. Now, even in terrible light (no niceties - it’s shop lighting and 20” wide aisles between 10” tall shelves) I can use it to create great quality PDFs with OCR in minutes. No more hauling things out and back, trying copy, etc. Tried a couple others but nothing compares.

Used this app to send a bunch of info to the mortgage company when we bought our house. It worked great

Click on screen to scan and color fades but nothing happens and app locks up. What a waste of money!! And yes I enabled the camera.

Versatile, accurate OCR, speedy.

I bought the app to help scan files and then upload those scans to my cloud drive. However, whenever the WiFi function is on the app crashes so it defeats the purpose entirely of having the app in the first place.

What happened!!! I used to love this app. It worked like a dream. I recommended it to everybody. All of a sudden, it cannot find the edges of the document. It is a nuisance to use. I am so sad.

Used to work great but lately crashes all the time. Like every single time I use it. I have The app on iPad and iPhone , same issue on both of them.

I bought three apps and the only one that works for me is the PDF editor app. The problem with the scanner app is that I am unable to save the scanned docs to iCloud. And the issue with the printer app is that the print to PDF does not capture the webpage fully. I would like to get refund for the bundle but these apps are not allowed me to get refund. I had to buy the PDF app separately and can't get refund for the bundle package. I wasted$12.00 on the bundle and unable to use any of the apps.

Great App! Highly recommends easy to use. No hassle.

I love it, but can improve. The problem is that when you convert pdf to text you should be able to select certain parts you want to copy. Second, for some reason when you convert a pdf to text, anything containing the word “in” gets converted to “m’”. It is really annoying and it is causing me production time as I have to skim through my documents to fix the issue.

Scanner Pro is sincerely one of the more useful apps I’ve installed on my iPhone. The image distortion repair works fantastically and the OCR is surprisingly accurate, doubly so considering it’s a mobile device app. The one change I would make (and the reason for four stars instead of five) has less to do with the app itself than with the scanning service: it offers no fax receipt confirmation. Just throw your $.99 and document into the wind and hope it makes it to its intended destination. Aside from that, it has definitely been money well spent.

I paid for this app thinking it would be more reliable and ad free. Used it for one month and all of the sudden all my scans were deleted. Costing me $85 for an item I could not return.

I’m writing the review now to thank the developers for updating the app to work with iOS 12 betas. I’ve got the beta on my iPad and this app didn’t work with it. I was dealing because I have the app on my iOS 11 phone and also because ... beta! But the developers updated it - for a beta! How cool is that?! So, now I’m happily continuing to use this app on both my iDevices. Thanks.

it should have an option to share via airdrop within the app instead of saving to photos then go to photos app then airdrop

EVERY scan - the program has changed the aspect ratio of the document!!! Circles become ovals, squares become rectangles (and other rectangles become squares). There seems to be no adjustment for this. And sometimes it doesn’t alter the ratio until you hit save. So all the time spent to correct the image is wasted. USELESS!!

This app has never failed me. So easy to scan, email or fax and the pic quality is great. So easy to use whether it’s my phone or ipad. So worth it!!!

Suggestion for improvement: - Hope this will allow more locations to save to in the future. - Scanning is only the first step must be able to access later. Need ways to organize scanned documents (tags, sort, folder, etc.)

Purchased pro version so I wouldn’t encounter extra fees. Who else knows what they have fee based in the pro version. Worst.

I’ve used Scanner Pro through many phones and mostly it works quite well. Lately though, I can’t open a multi page document I’ve scanned several days ago. I usually scan three or four pages and the view page has no page count and gives me a “Cannot Open Document” message. I’ve opened it and viewed the scans since saving them but I guess it’s trying to back it up again or something. I’m looking for another app because I have to be able to view a document when “I” want and not when it’s convenient for the app. Sorry Readdle, you dropped the ball on this one.

I needed to send a fax today and thought I would try this app to do that since I use this app for everything else! Well over all experience was good BUT I would like to recommend 2 key things, a log of faxes maybe by number or something and someway to get confirmation the fax was sent! Some faxes are very important and at the very least I would like to maybe get a email confirmation that the fax was sent! Thanks!

This app was great but now it has stopped working. I’ve tried troubleshooting every external factor and it comes down to that the auto upload just doesn’t work anymore.

I use this app primarily for scanning music and sharing it to my forScore app. I have to first share to Adobe Pro, then from there to forScore. Would be better if I could share directly to forScore. Still this is the best scanning app for the purpose I have found. Follow up: The developer responded directly to me with instructions on how to accomplish a direct share to forScore. “please open Scanner Pro - select the file needed > Share > Open In > select forScore”. This does exactly what I need. Great app and Great support.

Just now scanned a one-column paragraph from the newspaper with this app—it got most of the text correct, with a few minor exceptions and layout issues. Very impressed! Now my go-to OCR utility!

I bought the app and tried for a while, and asked for refund. The worst part of this app is that it cannot well handle pages taken under poor lighting conditions. The pages have a lot of black shadows. CamScanner is better. I recommend the developer to download that to have a look into this problem and improve this app.

Until this is updated, it is unusable. Currently it crashes every couple of seconds.

This app scanned 5 pages before it simply quit working. Freezes up when I try to manually scan and no longer scans on its own. Worthless. I want my money back.

I needed to scan documents. I used my phones camera to scan the documents with no problems whatsoever. Docs looked great. I noticed I forgot to fill in a part on one of the documents and was able to edit and replace the document easily. I then emailed the document. Super.

This apps is useless and wasted my money. This apps cannot even recognize a text from HD photo. Go and buy other apps.

This is by far the best scanner app I’ve ever found, and I have bought dozens. It has a simple interface, OCR text recognition, iCloud document sync and backup, PDF or JPG export options, great editing tools, and Workflow integrations. The only thing it’s missing that other scanner apps offer is a business card scanner that can take the text from the card and let your create a contact in your address book. Other than that one missing feature, it’s perfect.

This app is an essential tool for where I work. That being said, I am unable to send emails to myself using the share feature, which in turn, makes doing my job much more complicated than it needs to be.

I really can’t say anything bad about this app! I had previously been using Cam Scanner, which is awesome, but sometimes the person receiving said documents would get stuff practically billboard size! Hopefully, I will have reason to change this to a 5 star rating in the near future! Nice job!

The app blew me away, my wife had an out of date printed template that she need to edit for work, I went to the Windows store to find something that would work with my PC, it would cost me $300to $400, no can do if you know what I mean. I took up my iPhone turned on Scanner Pro, played with the app and discovered that it had OCR. I started scanning documents, sent it to my PC via email. And all worked well. Unbelievable

I cannot recommend highly enough. No bs, just straight out the best scan to PDF app. I save everything to back up paper with this. Love this app, thank you.

I scanned 20 final exams, 9 pages each, in a little less than a minute each, using the auto scan feature. Faster than pulling out staples and scanning in a scanner. Cloud sync through iCloud works well, as does OCR.

I used the app a lot and loved it. Now It crashes after scanning the first page. What can I do?

This is one of those apps that makes my life ridiculously easier. Especially if you are scanning a large number of page this will scan them in a fraction of the time it would normally take.

Wanted to use this for scientific papers but the OCR cannot detect superscript numbers used in the body of the text which denotes references.

I connect to onedrive to upload scans. Every other scan upload I get the following error "upload failed with error code -1". I unlinked onedrive and relinked several times. No go. I deleted app and reinstalled. No go. Time to look at something else.

I’ve used this app for years and unlike other apps that change the rules on you after a while, this one has been solid.

I have been using this app for a couple of years but all of a sudden in past couple of weeks I cannot receive scans to my email. Not sure what happened.

The best scanner app I’ve ever used. So easy and efficient.

This is the best few dollars I've spent on an app! It works just as well as a copier of scanner - even better, actually, since you can crop and edit right from the phone. It will even correct most "phone and hand shadows" from taking the pictures. Variety of options for saving/sending the files, too. I'd definitely recommend it!

I rarely write reviews, but this app surprised and impressed me! I scan and edit numerous text documents. Recently, I had to scan a 50 page legal document which would require extensive post scanning annotations. I wanted to annotate this document using Readdle’s PDF Expert (a great app!). I scanned the document using the scanner function on my Apple MacBook Pro and my HP scanner. That worked, but it took awhile to scan the individual pages. Then, I had to merge the individual scan files for each scanned page to yield a pdf document, with individual pages, I could annotate. The downside was I still could not highlight and underline the text on any page. I did not attempt to OCR the pages. That would require an extra step, never seems to work as well as I need it to, and takes extra time. After I had a finished pdf version of my legal document, I discovered, reviewed and decided to buy ScannerPro. As a test, I re-scanned my legal document using ScannerPro. First, I setup ScannerPro to automatically upload scanned documents to my Dropbox account. It then took me less than 10 minutes to scan the document and wait for it to be uploaded to Dropbox. Next, I used PDF Expert on my laptop to access and edit the scanned document. I had to rotate the pages because of the orientation of my iPhone when I scanned the document, but that was easy to do with PDF Expert. ScannerPro's OCR worked great. I now have a document I can edit and annotate with no obvious limitations in a fraction of the time. In the future, any time I have a document to scan I'll use ScannerPro.

Works ok, but crashes pretty often but not clear why. Usually picks up at an appropriate place after restarting. OCR seems to be of highly variable quality. I don’t use it much but I think I’ll investigate alternatives.

I'm a teacher and I love uploading children's work and other documents. It's very user friendly and easily uploads to my google drive account.

The ease of use, the potential to declutter....awesome

Seems like the app designer took away the ability to create PDFs that it had before. Makes it useless to me. Unless of course I want to be extorted into paying up an additional $9.99 for their separate pdf app

Used to work great. Now Box functionality no longer works. When trying to reconnect to Box folder Captcha “I’m not a robot” check box will not work. It just loops, preventing authentication. Searching for a new app.

I’ve tried a handful of paid scanner apps and this is my favorite, largely because of its good quality scans, OCR and file management. But it desperately needs the ability to create nested folders in its iCloud storage. And working with its other Readdle app ‘PDF Expert’ is really wonky. Scan a file with Scanner Pro and open it later in PDF Expert to make some annotations, and those edits are only visible in PDF Expert. And files created with PDF Expert and saved into the Scanner Pro folders are invisible to Scanner Pro. Would love to see better compatibility with other Readdle apps.

Scanner Pro used to be good, but in the past few months it's developed serious performance issues (it's at least 5x slower than it used to be).

I have to say this is my first time writing a review for anything. This has to be my favorite app to work with. This app scans them so well and takes all the trouble away of using a real scanner lol. It works like a charm and even makes them into a nice pdf file for you. It’s soooo nice worth every penny! 10/10

How can I add multiple folders inside a folder for example (insurance) —> car insurance; health insurance. Also is there a way to create a folder/ move to a folder after scan with out having to upload then select? Some apps have the ability to create multiple folders. Also doesn’t really directly connect to my files. I wish there was more options on this app... like a button to add folder, I keep trying to hard press the plus sign hoping it will allow me to add a folder... Also there is no way to add a folder in a folder... But... I like the app. Could be faster... I have to fiddle with it for a while... but ya Still these are little things everything else Very good!

ScannerPro is an outstanding app that has all but taken over for my flat bed scanner. The other day I was editing some scans. For reasons unknown it defaulted the paper size to “A4” that so many developers love and no one else has heard of or uses! Please do not offer “A4” as default, and best of all expunge it. If there is a user base for it, then offer a setting so the size defaults to “letter”. Thanks.

I use this app for work & school! I constantly use this app; it's great to upload documents that I need to save to my email. Especially images can be converted into black & white. I have used this app for years & I absolutely enjoy this application! Keep up the good work!

This app produces outstanding quality scans, simply by snapping a photo. It creates multipage documents with ease, and then converts them to a PDF that you can email or text if necessary. When I recently sent a document scanned on this app, the recipients thought it had been scanned on a flatbed. Bravo for a high-quality, easy to use scanner.

Love the workflow included and quality of scans. I can easily send receipts to the office and even shoebox by using workflow. Scanning quality is outstanding

Stop looking at other apps. This is all you need to scan paperwork, photos, flyers, whatever you need. You can save them as JPEG or PDFS, edit and send easily. OH! HAVE I MENTIONED HOW EASY IT IS TO GET AN AWESOME SCAN?! IT’S SO EFFICIENT!

This app has been on my phone since it came out. I use it constantly and could not live without it.

I’ve used this app to quickly scan my airframe and power plant logbooks. It did a terrific job and was quick. The ability to flip a page and it automatically scans is amazing! Thank you.

Everything works as expected, except it has a hard time uploading documents to iCloud without giving you a white screen of death. Please fix.

I'm and engineer, not much impresses me and I never write reviews. THIS APP HAS CHANGED MY LIFE. No exaggerating, no kidding - straight up changed my life. I tell everyone I know to buy this app. It's simple to use and easily configurable. The quality is fantastic. My wife even loves this app and she's not technical at all. We use this for personal use and business use. Someone at Readdle sat down and said "How can we build the perfect scanner app?" - and that's what they did! There's simply not enough stars to rate this app high enough. THANK YOU READDLE!

The scans are excellent quality. Easy to use application. Great organizational tools. My only criticism stems from the fact that I use the application all the time. I wish I could see the scans in the Apple file application or the Readdle Documents application. Then I could transfer all of the folders to external storage such as a lightning capable USB drive for backup. The only way to backup my scans now is to transfer them one at a time through the share process.

But my scans are now getting corrupted. A simple scan of a few pages takes an hour because the scan pages get corrupted. Yikes!

I have owned this app and used it for years. It is nice to be able to scan all my receipts on the road. Recently more and more companies are emailing receipts and I have a need to compile these into a PDF and send them via PDF to our finance group. The problems are two fold. The only way to get the emailed receipt, whether it be a PDF or other type of document, into this app is screenshot it and then laboriously go back into the Scanner Pro app and import them into the app, where manual cropping is required. This contrasts with other scanning apps like Genius Scan which allows you to directly import them into the app itself from a menu that pops up in the actions tab (where you would forward the PDF or other document). Second problem is when the screen capture is imported, the quality is so poor that others cannot read the actual document at all. This is likely a compression problem or, more likely, a result of the Scanner Pro app trying to adjust the resolution/color to one of it’s four pre-determined resolution settings. I have asked Readdle to support the import direct function months ago with no progress shown. Therefore, I am likely making the leap to Genius Scan by Grizzly Labs until they fix these two issues. I do love Readdle apps and would easily assist them in explaining more as I truly believe they have an excellent suite of products. Problem is this is just not usable now for my circumstances.

I used to be able to scan something, tap send, and select my gmail app to send it in an email... now the only emailing app that shows as available is the Apple mail app. Why did you guys seemingly remove the gmail app as an option? I don’t use Apple mail and I hate that app. Please bring back the option to use gmail.

The look and feel of the app is great, but sadly I have never once had anywhere near a clean OCR scan on any document ... There are no controls for character recognition (except language) so there is no way to tweak results. I guess if you have a plain text document it may work, but in practice I have bills, DMV paperwork, receipts, etc. that have small graphics, and varied fonts, and those minor things are enough to throw the OCR waaaay off. The results are comical in many cases with single letters being recognized as multiple letters of vertical text! And there seems to be no predictive algorithm to help the OCR take a reasonable guess at words, so you get some letters correct but not all. I’d love to use this to simplify my life, but it is not ready.

5S running iOS 9.3.5. Cannot press the take picture button. No response renders the app useless.

This is one of the best scanner apps I’ve used. Very good at detecting edges and auto cropping. I love that I can take scans and fax them but one thing is missing - here’s the feature request- it would be great if the scanner app had a share sheet extension so that I could get documents I didn’t scan into it for faxing. I’d rather have one app than have to download a separate app for faxing.

I’ve had this app for years and have always loved it. However, within the past couple of months it has gotten so slow that it is nearly unusable. I’m using an iPhone 6s and all of my other apps are working great - no slowdowns or battery issues here. It’s just this app that freezes when taking pictures, cropping, etc. This now happens every single time I use it. iOS updates have not helped either. Please look into this!

So I am using this app and I sent a fax it says it sent and charged me 1.98 but I have yet to receive any kind of confirmation saying it was sent.

In the past few months this app has been going downhill. I’ve been using scanner pro for years now and recently I’ve noticed that the auto sizing along with the app’s ability to find a white receipt on a black surface to have degraded considerably. To sugar coat everything, at least 10 of my receipts and other scans have disappeared completely. They don’t show up anywhere. That is just.... awesome. Thanks for the quality app guys. You’re killin it.

I've used a fair few scanning apps, and all had pretty much the same experience. I discovered scanner pro by accident and I was immediately impressed. I immediately purchased the pro version. The auto scanning is simply and unbelievably accurate and amazing. You will not regret purchasing this app.

Can’t seem to figure out how to switch between personal and business Dropbox accounts for uploads. I started using the Dropbox app for simple scans and uploads with account switching. Otherwise a solid app.

I've used this for years and it is the most accurate quickest way to scan docs into PDF for emailing, text, etc. It's one of my must have apps

The app works exceedingly well as a scanner and OCR. I no longer have to hunt for a copier or scanner, or wait until I get home to scan a document. I simply whip out my phone and scan just about any document in seconds! The processing takes care of most, if not all, the odd angles and shadows that you’re likely to encounter when snapping a pic of your documents. You can also upload the scan directly to cloud services or attach it to email and other apps. Buy it, it’s worth the money.

App crashes on me and is slow loading up. Makes my whole phone slow. I lost my 8 page document with sensitive info. I demand a refund for this purchase.

Calls itself pro but doesn’t allow you to upload to shared (for teams) Dropbox folders… otherwise a great app.

One stop for all scanning needs. Easy to access files later for storing or sharing. Love scanning the kids artwork that isn’t quite wall worthy but not wanting to throw away. It’s fun to open the file and see the progression through the years. Just one simple click and it’s stored away forever without the excess papers stacked up.

The suite of quality products they developed consistently delivers beyond my expectations for over 9 years. Everything about their apps is outstanding. I like may thinks about the app: Upload to iCloud Collaboration with other Readdle products Ease of use, etc. But I HATE that you all have faxing listed on the description, but fail to add in-app purchases to the purchase button. Furthermore, when you’re in the app and go to fax a document, you’re prompted that the cost is 1.98. If that’s not an in-App purchase then i don’t know what is. So this is a SCAM. By not listing that there are in app purchases you are tricking the buyer into thinking that the fax service is free. I’m going to report this to Apple, not sure if much will be done. But if you’ve purchased this app you should report it too.

I never rate apps. But I had to rate this one. It’s incredible. Thank you to the other reviewers who convinced me to use this! I was using Tiny Scanner and tried iScanner. This one is perfect. It’s everything an app should be — intuitive, simple and efficient. You can have it automatically take the photos. They are very crisp. They are so easy to name and to adjust the color on. The app synced to my Dropbox effortlessly. When I upload subsequent documents to Dropbox, it pulls up the folder where I was before. Which is so great when I’m uploading lots of documents - cuts down on me having to click through all the other folders. I have a scanner on my printer 20 feet away from me, but this is so much faster and easier. I’m actually looking for more things to scan so I keep using Scanner Pro! Get it. Well worth a few bucks if you need a scanner app.

....Yet so easy to use! Who needs a copy machine...EVER! This scans the document, flattens it out and makes it look just like a flat scan. You can scan multiple page documents and rearrange the order of the pages. You can GROUP separate scanned documents. You can export documents. It has OCR capability that is so simple! Read, copy, paste! The longer I have this app, the more wonderful features I discover.

Color scanning not so good. Every scan I do has blotches of color not in the original. Black and white scanning is good.

Guys, this app is great, but for the love of all that is good and holy, it crashes ALL THE TIME! I’ve been trying to scan a pile of 10 pages and it literally has crashed with every... single... page. I have the updated software, full paid version, and a new phone. Fix this, please!!

I have used this scanner for several months now and I continue to be amazed at the quality of the scans. I have scanned documents, photos and and drawings and the quality is outstanding. I have a Brother desktop multifunction printer scanner fax and copier that I have retired to save desk space. Due to the volume and frequency, my iPhone and a small Samsung air printer will will do the job.

The app freezes and laggs while switching pages in edit mode. Documents magically reappear after having being deleted. The app is bloated and heats up and crashes my iPhone 7 plus. This used to be a good fast app, no longer can recommend.

Does what it says and does it well. Combined with a cloud upload I use it for all my travel receipts. I have had it crash (very seldom) but have never lost a document. I also scan our postal mail and send to appropriate inboxes on Dropbox for processing later and then I shred the mail. It keeps my counters free from daily mail clutter. I really like how you can create workflows in this app. It’s a must have.

Did a comparison of the several paid scanner apps I own, scanning identical print under the same lighting. Of course, they all essentially worked. But Scanner Pro was the fastest to successfully frame the image, automatically cleaning it up. Then when I pressed the text button (sheepishly admitting to never having noticed it before), the printed copy was INSTANTLY OCR'd! And formatted correctly! As usual, Readdle in one of the most dependable productivity app developers in the Apple Store. (And I have no connection with them other than being a satisfied user of most of their products.)

Good app but when scanning a paper with a lot of white space it will shade in a shadow that I am not able to remove.

My “go to” scanner for daily business use.

Been using this for a longtime and it works without any issues 99% of the time. It will be perfect if it can turn on your phones camera flashlight for scanning in dim light areas. There’s seems to be issue with color scanning. Documents are coming out with a blue color and I have to switch it to b/w mode to get rid of it. Other than these 2 issues, great app! 5*’s once fix.

I use this app weekly to scan 2-10 pages and immediately email them where they need to go. For high volume I prefer the auto feed scanner.

I’m dealing with a lot of probate and work that requires a lot of PDFs. This app scans quick and lines up perfect every time. Other scanner apps I had to manually align the edges. This app does what it’s supposed to and quickly. Highly recommended.

I’ve owned this app for years. I have all my important documents scanned and saved. I’ve used it for numerous things from personal to business and school. Never had any bugs or issues. I’ve switched it between iPhones and have never lost any documents. Pictures are clear and look as if regularly scanned. I’ll always use this app and continue to refer it to my friends.

Every time I have to scan a document, I give my old printer the boot and return to this app. Like it was mentioned in another review, this app takes amazingly clear scans and makes it super easy to share via text or email. I am very thankful to this app for saving me the time and aggravation of figuring out why my printer/scanner failed me.

I've used the app for about 2 years. Today all my files saved in the app disappeared. This was the second time it happened, and this time really hurts. Makes it worse since the app seems to have a hard time backing up to Dropbox. Some of the files remain in Dropbox, even though they do not appear in the app. Strange.

The actual scanner function is usable and convenient, however, this app on multiple occasions has lost my documents that I've scanned. This is unacceptable. Also, it seems like every other time I try to export documents using the email function, this app crashes completely. Overall it's an ok app -- developers need to work on data management within the app and also email export compatibility.

Waste of money. No different than just snapping a picture of an item except it comes out worse!!!

I have tried many other scanner apps, including Adobe Scan and Scannable, and Scanner Pro blows them away for scan quality and features. The app captures the true item, and not the area around it, which is a problem with the others. The Workflows are also the best feature ever! I use Dropbox and Evernote, and I created workflows to store items in different locations, and it is all done in one click! Don’t be fooled by other brand names. This app blows all of them away!

i was blind complaining about missing iCloud integration. Needed to enable it in iCloud settings. Would be nice anyway to have some hint from the app if its not enabled. Otherwise its perfect app for scanning .

I am on the road working all the time out of my truck. Scanner pro makes it easy to scan and send my receipts for credit card purchases. I love it!

This comes in handy if you don’t have access to a copier or full size scanner. It eliminates paper clutter, which is my biggest downfall when it comes to organization. Easy sharing too.

Paying user of the app for years now. Utility of the tool is great- I always am inclined to click on it when I need a scan. However: I have lost scans on 3 separate occasions now. Where I’ve scanned hundreds of files in the last year, I currently only have 5 files showing right now. I have not changed phones. Also, syncing to cloud drives is buggy. Creates random new folders repeatedly. What good is a good scan app if you cannot trust it to keep your files? I have simply lost trust in this tool. No matter how good the functions are, if you can’t figure out a way to keep the data on the phone/in the app, it is UNUSABLE. Therefore it deserves 1 star.

I have so many expense receipts missing because I would scan them and then close the app because I was in a rush traveling for work and moving about. If you don’t click “save” after the app has successfully scanned a receipt, it won’t save it! I have lost so many receipts because of this and do not recommend this app. They need to fix this!!

Very poor performance

This was solid until the update. Tried emailing a scan to tow different accounts, checked sapm of course, checked sent mail in the email account, nothing either place.

I’ve been using this scanner app for several weeks, and it was worth the few dollars I spent on it. It’s a great app, does pretty much what I want and is user friendly. I’m sure any issues I have with it are “pilot error”. I don’t give it 5 stars because sometimes the scanned photos aren’t the best, but 4 stars is pretty good. Keep the updates coming.

Really nice app i’m using it for years on my ipad and iphone but recently the app works too slow on iphone- se and crashes after taking 3 or more photos.

This app seems to scan ok. But I can't figure out how to use the scanned documents. I would like to save and email the scans. But this app doesn't seem able to do it. Every few months I try again but get frustrated because there doesn't seem to be a way to do it.

In recent updates during June to now, the workflows settings will happen to disappear. I do not know how that happened. I observed every time the app updated, my iPhone restarted, but the issue seems not to appear regularity.

This app uses the iPad camera to take clear closeups of docs-- I am likely a basic user with simple needs for financial, legal, and medical documentation and I am well pleased.

I've depended on this app for a while, it seemed solid. Recently my scanned files are not always showing up in my cloud. I can see the scans in the folder section of the Scanner Pro app, but no matter how much time I wait, the files won't upload or re-upload to the cloud even if they were there last week. Turning off the cloud service, then turning it back on does not help. Every once in a while a file shows up, but has lost its name and is titled with the scan date. I don't trust this app anymore. Edit: I have renamed and uploaded all my files to dropbox from the scanner app. I've disabled auto-update to both the icloud and dropbox, that feature is not working for me on an iPad Air 2. This is scary if you're dealing with important papers- don't assume your files are safely stored.

I had given scanner pro only 4 stars because I was switching back-and-forth with TurboScan. Turbo scan allowed you to crop better without moving multiple points. Now with the new update on scanner pro they have fix this challenge and I have DELETED Turbo scan

This has been a staple for my business for years now. I haven’t even tried some of the other options out there because this app leaves nothing to be desired for me. I scan receipts/documents/etc. directly to a folder on Google Drive and then file them in my Drive where I want them. The scanning is great and it fixes skewed documents really really well. I’ve recommended this app to many people who are all happy with it also. Keep up the great work!

Don’t expect to do much with this app unless you are willing to do ‘in app’ purchases. This is not evident until you purchase. #sad

I have to say that this app has made my life easier. I often have to scan, sometimes 100s of documents, and instead of feeding them one at a time or using a balky hand scanner using this app streamlined the process and cuts down my time scanning by more than half.

New review: I used to love this app, but now it seems it needs to get too many permissions. All I want to do is scan (& sometimes OCR) images *I* choose. I don’t want to give it access to the camera, and I don’t want it automatically scanning my photos library. If you turn those features off, THERE IS LITERALLY NO WAY TO OPEN A PHOTO. (The reason is that the “open photos library” buttons are hidden in the Radar screen and the Camera screen, so if you turn those off, there’s no separate Open Photo Library button.) What you should be able to do is pick one or more photos in the Photos app, tap the share button, tap Open With Scanner Pro, and have those photos opened in 1 document in Scanner Pro. That would be super easy and maintain all your privacy. I will start to look for another app that respects my privacy. Old review: Everything you'd ever want. Oftentimes when rating apps, you're left to ponder why a certain obvious feature was left out. But this app is missing nothing. It's easy to learn, easy to use, syncs with iCloud and Dropbox, and has really great output. What's not to love?

iOS 11 introduced a bunch of bugs but the devs have been quick to fix them. This app works very well and even with the scanning functionality in the stock Notes app, this app is still much better.

Have a lot of sync errors with Dropbox , often crashes because of this I believe.

I was using primarily another scanner to perform scans and it is still a good scanner but Scanner Pro surpasses all I have tried in terms of the clarity and ease of editing pictures. I scan many things but mostly chapters from textbooks not available in digital form because my eyesight is not so great. With other scanners the chapters would take forever to process, plus the editing left me with a less than desirable shape that was almost impossible to highlight. With this, no matter how the book is bent, the scan comes out perfectly straight and functional, plus the scans are much brighter and easier to see. Even when I must edit some of my hasty scans, no matter how wonky my edit seems I still end up with a perfectly straight result. Also, if you use the other Readdle products it makes it very easy to process then send to, in my case, PDF Expert where I do the majority of my markups, notes and storing of all of my school material. This app has been a real timesaver and of all of the other scanning apps, has the best quality and share functions. Scanner Pro also keeps a library of my scans, where the files are big enough to read, even on my small iPhone 8, which is great, so I am not hunting for certain scans I need to email out, quickly and haven’t had any problems with returned emails due to size issues which I have experienced with other scanners outputs so the overall file size must be smaller but with a better quality scan. This is definitely my “to go to scanner“, now.

I love scanner pro and use it all the time to scan and store documents temporarily, but I can’t open it due to the latest update (12/17/17).

I have used several scanners apps before ,this one is the most efficient in my modest opinion.

Very useful and does a good job with little human input needed. It is not terribly intuitive, and could use a better instruction set. That being said, it still works great.

Hi Folks!! Love the App but have a question... I needed to send a fax but the problem was I also needed the confirmation that it was sent. I sent the fax and then couldn’t figure out the confirmation... is it there and I missed it or is it not possible?

I've been using scanbot for years, but I've had this app along with other Readdle solutions (pdf expert) for my document management. And lately I just started inbuilt option of pdf expert to scan documents for me. Previously I was maintaining record in Scanbot and then exportinit over to pdf expert. Improvement in scans quality by scanner pro has lead me to make the shift.This has now locked me into Readdle ecosystem (have all their business apps).

Granted that I haven’t tried every single OCR app out there, but I did spend eight hours trying to find on that worked even half as well as this one does. Low-light, originals marked with handwriting, highlighting... this app has overcome almost everything I’ve thrown at it and gets it right 95% of the time– if not more! So happy. It’s definitely worth the price. (And then some.)

Takes way too long to send pdfs, took over 24 hours to email a PDF. Do not use in a pinch, if you're low on time.

This is one of my most valued apps. For work and personal use, I rely on Scanner Pro almost daily to get the job done. Workflow is simple and intuitive, scanning is fast and of excellent quality, text recognition is generally good. I highly recommend this workhorse!

If you’re using it for 35+ pages, use a scanner. Some reviewers are absolutely ridiculous.

This is the "holy grail" of iOS scanning. It's unmatchable in the mobile Scanner Apps. I wish there was a BlackBerry version too. It basically makes all scanner apps look like toys. However I cannot give it 5 stars. Why? Because to give 5 stars is to imply that it is equal to other 5 star scanner apps. I give 7 stars! This is all I ever need for my perfect scans. I have tried some top name apps to do anything better than this but there is none out there. NONE. I have even paid for apps more expensive than Scanner Pro only to end up deleting them. I cannot have the second best for what I do. I need the BEST and this is it.

Well worth the money turns anything into a clean neat PDF. Paper, white board sessions, a major productivity tool. Especially with the new iPhones and the higher quality cameras

The previous version would hang up and get stuck 9/10 times I tried to open the app. This update still did NOT resolve the issue.

Best scanner app I’ve used. Easy, user friendly, and many ways to share your documents or receipts.

I was using primarily another scanner to perform scans and it is still a good scanner but Scanner Pro surpasses all I have tried in terms of the clarity and ease of editing pictures. I scan many things but mostly chapters from textbooks not available in digital form because my eyesight is not so great. With other scanners the chapters would take forever to process, plus the editing left me with a less than desirable shape that was almost impossible to highlight. With this, no matter how the book is bent, the scan comes out perfectly straight and functional, plus the scans are much brighter and easier to see. Even when I must edit some of my hasty scans, no matter how wonky my edit seems I still end up with a perfectly straight result. Also, if you use the other Readdle products it makes it very easy to process then send to, in my case, PDF Expert where I do the majority of my markups, notes and storing of all of my school material. This app has been a real timesaver and of all of the other scanning apps, has the best quality and share functions. Scanner Pro also keeps a library of my scans, where the files are big enough to read, even on my small iPhone 8, which is great, so I am not hunting for certain scans I need to email out, quickly and haven’t had any problems with returned emails due to size issues which I have experienced with other scanners outputs so the overall file size must be smaller but with a better quality scan. This is definitely my “to go to scanner“, now.

Best scanner ever It's very useful

I’m using Scanner Pro to organize my very messy music files. I would love to be able to copy a file and place it in a folder or make a playlist to use when I perform.

Not only does this app not use ocr or the orientation of the device to estimate what orientation a page is in, it also does not have a way to rotate every page of the document to fix their error. Recognizing the text to determine the orientation of the sheet is a difficult computing problem (I get that) but having a button that rotates the whole document is not. The fact that such a feature is not included shows a lack of thought and care.

I use this app almost everyday and I rely on it for work. The performance on iPhone 6 running iOS 11 is just plain awful. The app lags while taking photos or editing them and the app makes my phone incredibly hot and it drains the battery really fast. I didn’t have any of these issues before the latest major release which was aimed mainly for iOS 11. I still use the app regardless of all these issues since Scanner Pro is the best solution available on the App Store right noe but I’m really disappointed.

Need to be able to add Fold inside Fold feature and it will be a 5 star app. Until than they should take Pro off from the name of the app. It just a nice simple scanner app still.

If Scanner Pro has stock you need to just go ahead and buy it. I’ve had the app since 2014. Every time I use it I remember why I actually purchased it. Pure, simple and hands down the best. I have an extremely expensive printer at work that can’t hold Scanner Pro’s briefcase.

For the years I let be these app. And I purchased more apps from these guys. But for some reason every time I need to see my file, the app just don’t have it in there. It dumps the data from the iCloud for some reason and the it take forever to download it. So when you need to see your file in hurry it’s basically not there. And defeats the purpose of this app. Don’t waste your money on this. I will now look somewhere else for my scanner app. Very sad. Also I contacted them few times by going into feedback but they simply just don’t have an answer and ask for more information rather than addressing the issue. I think it’s a good app when it works. Another thing is, if you have too many folders and files then this app will starting to run slow. Also this app doesn’t have all the new ios features. Like swipe features to go back etc. it’s not optimized and I now think it’s downgraded. Sorry but I was one time a huge fan of this.

I downloaded Scanner Pro this morning, and after using it for 10 minutes, I’m hooked. I’ve scanned and emailed a few important documents, and it has a Radar feature that scanned my photos and brought up what it thought were scannable documents. By using this feature, I was able to turn some long forgotten information into a PDF. Well done, Scanner Pro team — keep up the great work!!

The email function never works

Exceptionally easy and simple to use. No issues whatsoever and I use it every single day to upload handwritten class notes for disability services. Picks up colors well

would be absolutely perfect if it had the option to just "scan" (i.e., deform a portion of an image to align with the edges of the image frame) without modifying the image at all in terms of color, contrast, brightness, etc.; as is, it's an exceptionally useful and well-designed app that works as advertised. (i use it quite often when working on large artworks that won't fit in a scanner, and it works fabulously for that, except that it alters the color/contrast/brightness etc. no matter which color option you select (b&w doc, b&w photo, color doc, color photo) - which, as you can imagine, isn't super optimal with image work (where getting an accurate + faithful reproduction of the piece is important).)

Look, I get you added a new feature and want people to know it’s there. However I don’t want to enable auto uploading to the cloud. I upload scanned receipts to different folders and even different cloud providers, and have absolutely no desire to attempt to do it automatically. It is really annoying to have to say “no” every time I want to upload a file to the cloud. Once it stops bothering me, I’ll update it to a five star application.

I just went back and tried every scanner app in the App Store again after using Scanner Pro for a long time and it is obvious to me that Scanner Pro is still the way to go. That being said, Readdle still insists on their own, very specific UI that can be confusing and difficult at times. It doesn’t feel very much like a native iOS app. I won’t take any stars off because every scanner app has a bit of a funky UI, but it’s worth noting because it’s the one thing keeping some of Readdle‘ apps from being perfect.

I will update my review but in its current state the app almost all the time freezes in a dim screen when scanning in app. Needs a fix for iPhone 6s.

A few quirky things, but overall a great app. Create a folder in the cloud, snap pic, it uploads into a smart folder. Easy peasy 11/2017: constantly running to upload, but never completes. This has gone on for months. Today an update.... I updated and now crashes. Can't open. They have two strikes on them. I'll update this is it is fixed or not.

Every Scan is taking too long due to edge dectection being so slow I had a few blurry scans as well I do like the app but the extra time it takes to scan a page lately has driven me to the app store to look for an alternative scanning app

Go to scan a document and save it and it gets lost. Sort by name, date, nothing, gone.

I bought this app to use on an iPad Pro and I have been universally unimpressed. I love Readdle’s Spark and PDF Expert, but when I downloaded this app the first time, its detection of text was extremely poor and did not see underlined text correctly. The pictures of my document were taken in excellent light against a dark background and I had written them in Times New Roman size 12 font, but the scanner translated the text incorrectly any time that any formatting existed at all. In addition when I had reset my iPad for another reason and re-downloaded the app, it didn’t download the English language detection package and now crashes whenever I open it with an internet connection. Totally useless and a waste of my money.

I “scanned” in 25 receipts and only 1 actually went into my system. I wasted almost an hour futzing around with this app. Save your money.

This app has made my job as a OTR truck driver so much simpler, allowing me to use my phone as a scanner/fax instead of having to have an actual machine. Thank you!

I recommend this app to everyone I talk to you! If you are out on the road at jobsites in the office at home there is simply nothing better than this app to provide consistent clear accurate and easily transmittable PDF documents of anything. By far the best app for this process I have ever run across I wish more developers for apps would do things in their apps as simply as this app does scanning. There is simply no reason to buy any other app for scanning documents with your tablet or phone period! And no I am not a paid reviewer.

When I try to save, this app simply crashes on my iPad 12.9. I also bought an iPhone XS Max and it crashes too. All I do is scan 10 or 15 pages and then, when I go back to the hone screen and save, the app crashes.

Easy to use! I scan receipts and other documents so I don't accumulate clutter. I can send the pdfs from this app to google drive or iCloud for safekeeping. 11-3-17 The app has been updated and I can no longer share my item to google drive! The button is missing. Please fix!

This is a simple and clear cut scanning app. It's free and works every time. I have used this app since it came out and I can't find anything to complain about. You can send PDF to google drive, Dropbox, etc. you can even fax it using the Apple service for a charge of course.

Works perfectly use it all the time I have used this app for about 2 years now and have never had any issues with it . It works great for everything I need I drive a truck so I don’t have access to an office or office equipment this app replaces all of that stuff I’ve used it to fax print and email documents and and all of the documents come out great on the receiving end I would recommend this app to anyone that has to be away from an office and needs to still remain connected and able to send documents

This app has replaced my sheet fed scanner! Great quality, good speed - no more worries about cleaning the sheet fed or paper that is too thick to feed, etc. Only complaint: fix the file naming limitations!! When I scan a receipt, I want to be able to put the dollar amount in the file name using $. When I scan a check or check stub, I want to be able to put the check number in the file name using #.

This was a favorite app which worked great on my I-phone until the last update. Now, scrolling through scanned items to locate a file is a mess. Large gaps appear, many files are missing, or the entire file select screen is empty. After scanning, the previews of your scanned files vanishes. The only way to return to the files you have scanned is to close and reopen the app.

I am one of your users and I am using Scanner pro on my iPhone. I have some suggestions and questions. 1. When I finish my scanning and I want to send the file to others directly using my iPhone, I cannot find the option "using the Airdrop" which I think is the most convenient way connected iPhones. This is question #1. 2. As a new comer to this app, I sometimes deleted files by mistake. Although the app can upload files onto the cloud storage, I still think there should be a place where we can find the files we've already deleted just like other products of yours, like PDF Expert. This can be really helpful especially when I have some important files. 3. The uploading works in a strange way sometimes that I can't understand. I always find the folders missing in my Onedrive and iCloud drive, and the files that supposed to be in those missing folders turns out to be in the primary folder. It's easy for me to delete some file in this way. 4. Still the problem of uploading. I think it better to let the files on my iPhone completely conform to ones on the Cloud disk. Sometimes I may scan one file several times to get the best one, and those files are all uploaded on to my iCloud so that I can't tell which one is the best when I open my iCloud. So the best way is that when I delete some files from my phone, they will also be deleted from my Cloud storage at the same time. I'll appreciate it if you can improve some of the problems in the next version.

decent app. does pretty good job of scanning documents. just turn off automatic mode. it doesn’t do want you want.it is useless and wastes your time but my real beef right now is i am stuck with a HUGE scan that took me over one hour to create at the library, which i evidently have no way to get to a computer other than emailing it, which is probably going to hit mail server limits!

I've been using this app for years, it is everything you could want from an app like this. It's easy to use, versatile, faxing is cheap and easy (I rarely use that function but the couple times I needed to it worked flawlessly) It's a 10 star app in a 5 star rating system. I have recommended this app to everyone I have spoken to that needs to scan, email or fax documents while not near a computer, scanner or fax machine!

I have been an IOS user since the iPad 2 launched and over time have ended up purchasing all of Readdle’s apps. Printer Pro was one of the first allowing me to print to my iPad over my LAN. Documents, convert PDF, PDF and more followed. Although I do not prefer Spark as my main email application, I still, to this day, use Readdle’s apps as my main avenue for getting things done. High quality!

Looking at Readdle’s business and the apps they provide, it looks like anything by Readdle including this Scanner Pro is here for the long run. They seem to operate like a software company and I know they won’t be a here for a year, gone the next year sorta app. Now it has OCR recognition and it works well! I’ve been using this to convert papers into PDFs for years now and the app keeps getting better!

I bought this app because I read some of positive feedbacks for this App and I was so regretted after used it. It is a bad scanned image, taking picture for the document is much better. It’s not even worth for 1 star.

App has worked pretty solid. No problems for about 3weeks of use. The printing is not working properly as it cuts off the bottom of the page. It’s not my printer bc I printed other PDF documents from my phone without this problem. App is useless to me now!

For $4 this app is a pretty good deal for light to moderate scanning of documents on the go *EDIT* As of 11/25/17 the app locks up my iPhone 7 after light use. Just downloaded the newest update, too. Cannot reach Readdle’s app support page, so will rate it 1 star for now.

I use paid version. Today, adverts came up in the top of the screen. I’m very disappointed to see ads in paid version. Please fix it!

Can quickly scan items and it detects edges in real time. It works so well and I love that I can fax from within the app. Also great for business cards and I keep them all in a folder for quick reference

I got this app to scan and fax things back to the bank during a refi on my house and ended up living by this app for about 2 months. It has stayed on my devices since and is now my fax machine for pretty much everything and has been for the last year. The option for iCloud saves has also been a life saver many times. All you need is a good printer, this app and you can pretty much run a business LoL or refi a house in my case.

This app has been an amazing tool. I have used to to scan tons of papers. The OCR feature is great. Though I do not know how the integration with the Documents app works or how it is supposed to work. For me it does not really do anything. I don’t really use it anyways so it is not a problem for me. Thank you for another great app Readdle!

the autodetection of the page you’re trying to scan is absolutely atrocious and I’ve wasted a lot of time with what should have been straightforward scans. This app seems unable to detect pages that have relatively uniform illimination and sharp boundaries. I’d strongly recommend looking elsewhere for a scanning app.

I have had this app for over a year and never had issues. It’s amazing how well it works.

I have used this app for years and it is my go-to scanner. After working with several others, this one does everything I need, easily and flawlessly! The app even provides a fax function, at a reasonable cost, one that I have utilized since there are organizations that still require faxing over email and text. After an update that prevented me from using the app, I contacted the support team. I received a prompt response and the member continued communicating and working with me until the issue was resolved satisfactorily and in a timely manner. I am very pleased to be using the scanner once again and I can't say enough about the help I received, the best from any other app group ever! I am completely satisfied and delighted with the scan quality, the features of the app, and the perseverance and dedication of the support team.

My Mom and Dad have documents that needed to be access remotely, but they needed to be able to read them, taking a picture of them did not work, i am glad i was able to store documents for them and produce documents that can be zoomed in with clarity.

This app is the best. But I’ve got a suggestion. Please add the option to choose the interval of asking the code or Touch ID after reopening the app. Something like “Lock after 1/2/5 minutes”.

There's a lot to love about this app. It's simple, intuitive, and does a great job at recognizing pages and transforming them into quality scans. I love the custom share sheet and integration with iCloud Drive. It's almost perfect, but I'm deducting two whole stars in hopes that it'll bring attention to the fact that the app chokes when I need to scan more than a handful of pages. For example, I wanted to scan 35 whole pages yesterday. By the 8th page, the app was glitching out and slowing down on me. It was barely usable, but it worked—up until when my phone (a 7 Plus) literally overheated and rebooted. My scanned pages were still there in the app, but it was a nerve-wracking experience when I really just needed the scan done quickly and uploaded. I understand that it must take a lot of processing power for Scanner Pro to do what it does, but if I paid for a Pro app, I'd want to be able to seamlessly scan a whole bunch of pages in one go. Regardless, if your particular use case is light, you'll be satisfied with Scanner Pro.

Works very well; I especially like how it corrects and straightens out the document.

Being in trucking industry, my drivers spent $1000’s mailing paperwork in via FedEx because no scanner app was able to come close enough to provide good copies of documents. I have finally found an app that works great and also uploads all paperwork to the cloud for me.

I love this one. Easy to use and does the work it should do.

Hands down the best scanner app

It struggles to scan even the clearest, most evenly spaced sentences. Not worth the $3.99

Program worked really well on my iPhone 7 and my iPhone 6 I got my iPhone 8 three weeks ago and I have had nothing but problems with Scanner Pro. I have sent an email trying to find out what I could do to fix the problem and have not gotten any responses back. I am about ready to delete this app and get a different one.

Exactly what it is supposed to be

I am the music director of a small church, and Scanner Pro has been a huge asset in my sheet music preparation. I primarily use it to create clean, easily readable pdfs from my collection of hymn books. It works better than any of the scanners on the printers I have owned or currently own--rendering a small file size with excellent visual quality that is easy to share with my musicians.

This is the best $3.95 I have ever spent. You have the ability to scan all your documents, put them in separate folders, email, save in the iCloud to retrieve from a different device, and you have the ability to organize the documents and folders as you wish.

I don’t know why, but the app does not convert any scanned text into a editable text data. I think it just does not work properly although all the settings look right.

This is the best phone scanner I have ever used so far.I hope it can support Chinese in OCR. I hope Scanner Pro can change brightness and contrast by typing exact numbers not only dragging. I hope Scanner Pro can support 🇨🇳 Cloud Services. As you all know there are some problems 🔒🚫 connecting to Cloud Services outside 🇨🇳.

After the new update, the app keeps on closing on its own and I can’t get anything of my documents out of the app because it wouldn’t stay open

WOW, this product has deteriorated beyond use. Running on an iPhone 6+ (iOS 11.1.1). When it does open the camera is VERY Slow to register an image, staggers and chops with even small movements, and hiccups to reorient on the image. Crashes constantly while trying to save. I have loads of memory, so that is not the issue. For now absolutely terrible.

Really good features, low fax cost, very low app cost (universal for my all my devices) than the 2nd best, similar app. Love the OCR accuracy! Good, solid developer. Works well @ 14+ days of testing after evaluating 4 similar apps. (I keep the 2nd best app on hand but have never had to resort to it.) #HIGHLY=RECOMMENDED#

I’m sick of not being able to get instructions. I visited the developers’ Web site, and it was, of course, 90% marketing. No info on how to create multi-page documents. No info on how to name documents. No info on what that blue box is or what to do with it. Figuring out how to use a product should not be a DYI project. Consumers are consistently screwed.

Love this App! With one click I can create high-quality PDFs and email them back to my office or to a client. Compensates well for different lighting situations. I don’t even bother to use our desktop scanner most of the time. Perfect for people who work on the road.

App crashes even after I’ve rebooted my phone . Also , I’ve added Documents to my iCloud and drop box and now g The app goes nuts when I open it. Won’t let me select files because it’s “uploading to drop box “

The best review I can offer: I bought it, and don't regret the purchase in the least. Update: I found a bug with the WiFi server function. I contacted support, which after a couple of interactions provided me with a work-around, and two rapid updates later, it’s fixed in the application. Very pleased by the whole transaction.

I have used this app for a few year and found it very easy and useful to use. However the app constantly crashes when opened and cannot be used. This started about the time iOS 11 rolled out.

And that is what it ends of costing, 399 pennies, can’t beat the price for what it does, perfect scans every time, no more needs to be said, that’s that.

Thanks for such an awesome help! Got myself a Chromebook and couldn't scan anything with it... This is the best and most convenient way to scan wirelessly and no additional hardware. Thanks! Update: iOS 8.1 keeps crashing and won't work. Update: iOS 11 works flawlessly and it’s my go-to scanning app.

I love that I can scan in important documents and easily organize them based on name or date. It helps me declutter my life with receipts and papers that I don’t want to have to vary around. I highly recommend this app. It’s worth the small price you pay. I promise.

This is a great app and I use it on a weekly basis. Since the last update, I’ve had a little trouble scanning. I tried to scan a B/W doc yesterday and it wouldn’t pick up the document. Had to move up and down several times before it scanned. Like I said, this is a great app ... just maybe an update glitch ?

Scanner works fine but I mainly got it to scan articles from magazines that I wanted to be able to search later. Unfortunately it doesn’t search through the content of the documents, only for names. If it could do content search, I would give it 5 stars.

Scanner Pro is perfect for the task I use it for at least a few times a month - a clean scan of a single or multi-page document. I highly recommend it.

Easy-to-use and helps me send files wherever I need! So great!

This app used to be perfect for in the moment at home, and quick on-the-go scanning. Not sure if it was after the iOS 11 update, or a random bug, but now there is discoloration and distortion on almost all edges of the scan. When taking the photo and within the first preview, it’s normal. Once moving to the last step to save, the distortion appears. My phone froze for almost 10 minutes last night while trying to use the app. Had no issues at all before launching it. Tried again this morning, app was very sluggish, and I had to accept the distortion on the page today as the document was urgent. Issue needs to be fixed or I’ll have to move on to something else for scanning.

Horrible, horrible, OCR no matter how polished or pre-preped the Photo is with the source text. Even very clean clear black text on white background, the app usually has errors. Poorly executed programming flow. Even if I take a snip of text, say a paragraph in the picture, it assumes the snip I just made in its crop selection is a full page. So the app, to correct for this stretches the snip. My text paragraph, is now stretched up and down in really thin lettering. Then it tries to perform OCR on this and naturally fails miserably. Just what were they thinking? Didn't anyone try their app before putting it on the store? Band-Aid fix is ...if you can guess almost exactly the dimensions of your clipped paragraph, you can punch X and Y dimensions in manually and it does better. Second-best is using the auto size feature, which on mine didn't appear as the default setting -why I don't know. And sadly, Readdle doesn't even have the workflow so that from your pictures album you could send a picture directly to OCR with a "cut" button for pasting (which is what the user is going to do next) ready to go like in other apps. Clumsy, clumsy, unusable. Not the typical Readdle Standard quality of apps. They really dropped the ball on this one. The only good thing I can applaud them on is being forward thinking and putting WebDave features in place cleared -kudos. Otherwise, it's just another scanning app.

Terrible app. Despite multiple efforts, the app won’t e-mail, despite properly configured e-mails.

Unfortunately there is no option when opening PDFs to open in scanner pro. It only allows items that were scanned by app to be opened.

The file name it created in iCloud is “Documents” the same as the real “Documents”. You can’t change it or rename it. I’m constantly saving files to the wrong folder. When I asked support about it they said the may fix it in the future. Wow. Looking for a new scanner.

I don’t want to have to rename every scan. Please make scans searchable via OCR text. As of right now, I have to go to google drive to search for a scan. Is this on the roadmap?

I have been using this scanner app for years for both business and personal use and it does everything that I need it to. Great job!

Scan app definitely makes mobile business easier. Our company continues to find more interesting ways to make this app work for us. Google integration, workflows, and ability to store documents in folders makes this the best solution out there.

Best all around scanner app. Scanning is great but so is sharing, saving and organization. Also, you can lock it with TouchId. Lost a star because every time I upload to Box App, Scanner asks me to turn on auto-upload. This ads an unnecessary tap to every upload and is very annoying. I guess no app is perfect :(

Beautiful scans even in dim light.

The app allows me to create a “scanned” document and edit it as well. However, when I try to share the document to google drive or any other share options, it keeps saying “error” very frustrating because it used to work well up until a week ago. I use this app very often as I am a teacher and digitalize many documents I receive from my students and colleagues.

Have tried several scan apps. This one is head and shoulders better than the others. Highly recommended.

I just started using scanner pro a few months now and I’m very please and empress the feature and clarity are very good I’ll always use it because it’s easy to work with It is also safe as it allowed users to passwords protect your files I think it a great tool

I have used this app for a few years now and rely on it all the time. I forget that people even have scanners anymore- so much easier to just use this and run on my way. I would highly recommend to anyone who needs an easy way to capture written documentation easily

It really works great. The only problem is that I have thousands of images in the Photos section of my iPhone, because I got rid of 5 tall filing cabinets full of paper. It's all stored in my iPhone, backed up on my laptop, and the iCloud for only 5 bucks per month. I seldom do anything with them, except using them for reference, and if do need a PDF copy this app does a great job. But the OCR doesn't seem to handle serif fonts very well

This app is so convenient, fast and accurate that I now use it to scan all my documents. There is no need for a physical scanner anymore.

This corrects for distortions and let’s me email pdf documents from anything. I love the import feature and ability bring in from photos. Black and white vs color option allows decrease in file size. Well worth it.

I use this app constantly. I can easily turn pictures from my phone into PDFs. Highly recommended.

There are many options for scanning. This happens to be my favorite one. There are some opportunities to improve document management feature in this app. Specially for expense management etc.
