Can we still use the devices that are attached to company for personal use? Any privacy?

Our company went with this worthless and piece of junk app. I can’t get my outlook work calendar and notes to my iPhone/iPad and iWatch. Now I have doubled my work load by now having to enter my work calendar twice

I would not recommend it

I am personally uncomfortable with having to install a company managed application on my personal device.

I resent the requirement of my employer that I must use this.

I downloaded the program and there are no apps to download, view or use. Not very useful. Don’t want to download the new IOS system because I heard it crashes your phone.

I have an iPhone X and it basically bricks my phone once the company profile is loaded. Other apps stop working. A hard reboot and removing it from the phone clears it up. We’ve tried this along with our company IT 5 times now and it’s still unworkable. Tickets have been opened with Microsoft but nothing so far.

It deleted half my contacts in my iPhone 8.

I have no clue why I had to install this app just to login to my account in OneNote. The entire process was confusing and made no sense. Incredibly poorly thought out process. Wish I could give it zero stars.

Company OneDrive account cannot pass file to Adobe Reader which is also a ‘managed’ app.

Very very little feedback on errors. Goes for hours on pending sync It must have some storage that it can’t clean up. I uninstalled it and reinstalled few times. Seems to help a bit. But very frustrating. It’s just a thin layer over poorly written website. So glad that Apple App Store apps do not install in the same way. It’s very sad that a company like Microsoft put such. Piece of junk out there. Literally a piece of junk.

While I’m sure this is a perfectly good app, I hate everything about it. I hate the fact that it exists. I hate all the attempts to sugar coat the fact that I am essentially giving individuals I don’t even know root access to my device. I hate the fact that this app tries to sugar coat this fact with flowery wording cutesy cartoons. I hate the fact that my company is too cheap to provide company-owned mobile devices, and instead expects me to use my own. I hate the fact that even though it is my device, anyone in the IT department can snoop around my apps or erase my device without my knowledge just because I parked in their parking spot, or any other random reason. Why can’t this work like it used to in Outlook for iOS, where they can just remotely wipe the company’s data? Why do they have to be able to wipe my entire device? Exactly whose device is this, anyways? How about letting me know every time my device is being snooped, and giving me the name of the person who is doing it? How about letting me know when my device is about to be wiped, and giving me the name of the person doing it? I think a little more accountability and transparency will go a long way towards making people feel more comfortable about using this software.

This is my first time using this app and I was very impressed by how easy it is. I do feel that there is more research to be done in the security of my personal information by giving this app permissions.

Instructions are not precise. Getting the profile downloaded activated is not clear.

Horrible software - our company had to provide us with a 25 page written guide walking us through installation, it was laughably complex and convoluted

Mobile is all set for “data management” but ICM install option is greyed out. Bad experience.

Can’t recognize which apps are installed or not. I tried to install outlook but the installation failed. I deleted the partial install from the home screen and now Microsoft thinks app is already being installed and I cannot download the app....

Incredibly slow. I wouldn’t use it if I were not forced to.

This app was very difficult to install and required manually uninstalling other settings first. Then there were tons of pop up approvals before it was finally complete.

I spent some time reading the terms of service and multiple layers of warnings that my iPhone gave me about this before installing it. It is super creepy how much of my data my company can now gather without notifying me. By fiat, security agencies and the other security threats now have access to pretty much everything on my phone thanks to Microsoft’s intentionally porous, backdoor heavy services. The really nice thing is that Microsoft allows this to be the only accessible client for my device, closing the circle. If you can avoid downloading this app, do it.

There is no reason I should have to lock my iWatch. Terrible setup.

Can’t see emails. No instruction. Poor app quality

I really liked seeing how the system referenced my particular agency and it’s particular rules.

Terrible. This app in the name of “information security” completely violates individual privacy and also does not even work correctly to allow the user something as simple as accessing email. Many bugs and errors on install. Would NOT recommend when evaluating MDM options.

Why am I required to change a new password this is dumb

Wasted over 72 hours, not to mention all the other issues people had across the company wide roll out.

This gives the government access to view all my private apps, and access to delete anything or any app on my phone. And I haven’t signed away that privacy right. Maybe a phone should be issued instead? Sounds like I do not have a choice-give data, or loose your job because I cannot check e-mails.

The app slows your phone down and makes it glitchy.

Not impressed by having to share all of my phone calls and private emails to have them reviewed in the company CRM for all to see. Not happing. Boom!

This app gives folks in the c-suite the delusion that security has been improved, but all it did was make people more likely to use personal accounts to get work done and actually put data even more at risk. This app is cumbersome, un-intuitive, burdensome and doesn’t actually help the end user. Stupid to implement

The app just stopped working and I rely on emails since I’m a physician and on call. No fix or messages from MS regarding the downtime or timeline to fix the problem

Instructions should indicate to remove prior profile. Otherwise it's great.

My phone is my personal assistant. She is not yours to manage. I don’t keep my phone locked for convenience purposes. Your app is now making my life s***** difficult. The same as it would be trying to manage yet another device. Now I have to enter an encrypted password to check my social media. 😕

I’ve worked for three days trying to connect a new iPhone to our Computer Portal and have not been able to do so. I get an error that says my office email already exists on my phone when it does not. No good helps from our IT staff or the Microsoft website although I see through the website that I’m not the only one with issues.

Outlook was perfectly working until yesterday. It asked me to re login yesterday. After that , it asked me to install the management profile, which was already installed and the installation failed. On the contrary, it wiped out some of my contacts from the contact list. I had to delete the management profile and outlook, reinstall and reconfigure to make it work. However, couldn’t recover my lost contacts.

Super easy to setup with guided access.

Must be the third time I have tried this. Very frustrating when your BYOD word well and the company phone won’t.

Ever since installing Intune my contacts keep getting deleted. It’s annoying and cannot recognize my customer calls, only get the number.

This was easy to install

This needs to be fixed. Now everyone will have to carry 2 phones.

I’m chill with entering my password once, but then I go into my work mail and it prompts me again. This pattern continues and I’m not able to ever get new work mails. What the heck is going on?

Too many times the installer was asking to enter password or Touch ID. Very bad user experience. Won’t recommend

This is the worst app ever. It refuse to recognize touchid and wants to control your device. Make it actually work with iOS and try again. Learn how to build compatible apps first. Stop letting interns and first year grads build your apps MICROSOFT! Hire experienced professionals for a change.

They have no respect for privacy or employee. A surveillance app that is a bug in your phone but your employer forces you to install it!

Worst piece of c*** ever. Hijacks the phone, forces you to change the PHONE passcode to uselessly complex one. Randomly locks the phone until you jump through their s***** hoops. I am forced to use thus utterly horrible manhle of code in order to see my job’s emails, but i am considering renouncing to mobile email access just to avoid thi program

They can take over my phone, camera and even reset my phone. Why do I want that?

I love the peace of mind this app gives me just for the fact I have control over all of my data on my employees devices without effecting their data or privacy

Worst ever. I only have this app installed because the company I work for requires it. Don’t trust this app, seems like it makes all kinds of changes to data who knows what else.

I have 3000 iOS device that I am going to let it enrol into InTune MDM. As I do not have DEP yet from Apple, I am supervising the devices manually using Apple Configurator and push the Company Portal app via VPP with Apple Configurator so that my devices can then launch the company portal app and enrol the devices into InTune MDM. However, after I push my app via Apple Configurator 2 via VPP, when I launch the app, it crashes immediately on my devices running iOS 11.4 and 11.3.1. Signing in to App Store with my own Apple ID and downloading the app via the app store works but VPP distribution fails.

Never install big brother without being forced.

This app is continually running and draining the battery The phone is getting very hot And if you check the battery usage it comes up as mail background activity

While installing app, device settings is not working as expected, every time uninstall and reinstall app has to do.very tedious, it should be modified.

Unable to accept Terms and Conditions on Apple Media Services screen that pops up constantly - no “Accept” buttons. This means I am unable to download any of my company’s shared Microsoft apps. IPhone 6s on iOS 12.2. And yes this is an older phone but companies aren’t replacing older devices quickly so this has to be widespread. Please fix!!

Lost all my email access on a Friday afternoon. Was told that I would have access in 20 minutes. Did not happen. Have to wait till Monday to call from office. Sounds trivial but security upgrade removed my email access for no reason.

Took 20 minutes to download and install the app! Kept taking me in circles and had to install via phone settings to get the install

The new security policy has totally killed my access to anything in the Cloud, no matter what I do it has me in a loop of Managing this device, on top of that Outlook only supports a SINGLE 0365 account, so much for managing my boses emails/calendar!!! Thanks!

This is an intrusive app that will s**** you of your privacy. There is no way this app is compliant with gdpr and some state employee privacy law. When you install this your IT Department will gain complete access to your personal device. They can see your location, know your device password, can add and delete apps, look through your contacts. I suspect they can also read your email messages. MS privacy notice is very deceptive and does not list all the things this app is capable of. I just know what I’ve been through and how my previous employer controlled me. I deleted this app as soon as I left my last employer. I know ask employers if they issue their own devices. I am unwilling to sacrifice my privacy for illegal employee monitoring.

I hate having this app on my phone, especially since this is my personal phone and it can now easily be seen and controlled by both my employer and Microsoft. Another reason why I loathe Microsoft and every piece of terrible software they spew forth into the world. If they can’t have dominance of an industry (mainly because their own products are complete and utter trash), then they’ll do whatever they can to take control and, consequently, make everyone’s experience crap. Horrible company. Horrible products. If I could give them negative stars, I would.

It’s been installing now for about 10 hours and keep saying account and I have to keep re-entering passwords and he keeps dismissing everything. And short for the last 10 hours I haven’t had access to my email.

There are places where one has to ignore the prompts and switch to the iOS to continue. MS look how Apple does it: one click in the AppStore

I received my bank statement and realized that you have overcharged me. This is in regard to Texas Holdem purchase I made. On Jan 14 you charged me $6.47 which I did purchase. I lost my entire data on the phone because of this s***** app which locked my phone even when I didn’t do anything and asked me to remember a passcode which I could not remember. Given an option I might sue them for forcing me to accept the conditions and then make me responsible for the loss of my data on the phone.

Once you get through the set up phase, it was smooth sailing.

I refuse to give my employer access to my contacts, app list, or remote access of my phone. They don’t pay my phone bill. I used to use outlook perfectly fine and now they require this.

Step-by-step instructions are very easy to follow and didn’t take long at all.

This app is a complete invasion of privacy: your company will get access to ANYTHING you do on your PERSONAL phone. Completely unacceptable.

I am not sure what people expect. However, this app is part of a larger platform called Intune. This is an Enterprise Mobility Management platform that a company would use to manage access to and security around their own data and applications. This is not an invasion of your privacy, it is the company taking appropriate action to secure their data while extending the privilege of accessing that data on a personally owned device. Now, as someone who manages this platform, I can tell you that if your device is registered as a personally owned device, the data that your company can see about your device is VERY limited. In fact it is limited to information about the apps and data that they manage. Your personal information is not collected or accessible to your company or to Microsoft. Location information is only available in a very limited fashion and only for the system to use. It is not visible to your company at all. I do wish people would learn what an app is used for before they download it and review it.

I set up the app but email and contacts are still missing

Please restore the ability to see app installation status (installed, failed to install, pending sync, installing, etc.) on the storefront page.

Probably this is due to my company’s IT department, but this app keeps requesting permission to install books and apps, but there is no way to agree to that. So I am spammed every few minutes with a notification. Microsoft should make administration of this app Idiot Proof.

It’s stupid

Apparently, this Conflicts with BitDefender. I had to uninstall BitDefender on my iPhone before being able to install this. I’m not sure why the two need to conflict with each other.

Gives my company the ability to wipe my phone. They keep saying they won’t but I’m very uncomfortable with that.

Pop up would not go away

Company can’t see your web history but they can certain lock you out of your phone, delete or install what they please and know your location. Complete nonsense. I’d give it less than one star if possible

I put my work email address in and then it gets stuck on the taking you to your company’s login page— and it just sits there. My internet is down and trying to work from my phone to keep my job but this doesn’t even work

I do not know why my work changes email apps. But this is the worst app. My emails disappear. I can’t find the ones that I need. My inbox is always s****** up.

This is very easy to use even if someone is not good with computers

So this is what it has come to. Companies expect us to turn over complete control of our own personal devices to them in exchange for the privilege of doing work for them on our own time on evenings and weekends. This is the very definition of Big Brother. Also, I’m convinced that 90% of the five star reviews are either bots, or people who have no clue that this software essentially gives full control of your phone to your employer.

This app is becoming required software at large corporate clients, but is spyware. It has actually shut down my connection to one client because another client made some sort of rule which was pushed to my personal phone and applied changes without my acceptance.

Or better yet, have it done specifically for the user of the phone before delivery

I’m obviously biased because I feel like having to install an app giving so much data is not right to begin with, but then forcing me to lock my phone is a terrible idea. I leave passcodes off for convenience and am really annoyed all around with this app now.

Remember how liberating it was to have work email and other work apps on your phone? Those were the days.

Unfortunately this app was required by our IT department. Since the install I have been unable to access Outlook on my computer. The credentials management fails every time I enter my password. Is there a negative star rating?

It’s locks down phone to where I can’t even use apps designed to do my job.

This feature will not go away no matter what I do. I have a brand new iPhone and one day later installed this because Intune stated I had to, and now I have to go to Apple to see how they can remove this feature that constantly pops up despite me selecting “cancel”. Total virus. My IT mobility department said that isn’t supposed to happen. Shame on you for ruining my brand new phone!!!!

Slow and buggy. It wants me to update it when I try to open, that forwards me to the iTunes Store and than from there back to the app and this repeats in a dead loop.

Why would I want my company to view personal materials?

When I down loaded this app. I can no longer get my regular e-mail. I also can not retrieve my contact phone numbers or list of names of my contacts. Bad App and bad trade off for security. I would rather not use this app. What were we thinking????

I had to install it on iPhone and iPad due to company IT security requirements. As soon as I installed it started to delete all my contacts leaving only contacts that were on Outlook. It also deleted my Bluetooth connections. Fortunately I was able to go to iCloud and find the restore contacts function. However I now have to find a fix so this app does not delete them again. IT department is clueless on a solution. SO if you install it perhaps turn off sync of contacts with iCloud until you see how it behaves? Or at least do a back up of as much as you can before install the Intune app? Good luck.

App does not work with new iPhone. Endlessly loading software. Tuff to dump when you change your mind. At at the end...doesn’t work

It is not good for the personal phone and it installs more software what you imagine. Those softwares is not useful for you.

More than 3 months to get the compliance

Just followed the prompts and read instructions along the way, easy enough!

Piece of crap! 2 weeks and still don’t work. Have to use it at home since wireless is not available at work to get your devices working. Doubt it would work either. Phone and text work and that’s it.

Pain in the b*** to operate

This is the best app available on any mobile device.

It tells you after you start the process that your current password is not strong enough. Good luck then finding out how to correct this in this app.

Evil company enforced spyware. Once you configure your email and calendars using it, if you can, I would urge you then delete the app. Unfortunately you may not be able to do that if access to your email requires that it remain installed. For some access to email may only require the initial configuration and be safely deleted after the initial configuration. Do not trust Microsoft or your employer. They may claim they can’t “see” your web browsing, contacts, texts etc. using this app but that is a lie. If they can configure the security on your phone, they can then access anything they want on your device. I would give it zero stars given it’s insidious nature but you can’t submit a review without given at least one star. Needless to say this creates a statistical bias in any app rating. Way to go Microsoft!

I just was required to install this app to give away a bunch of my privacy which I have no clue how far. It’s my personal phone and I want to use it for my personal stuffs and not work related. So, tools like this should never be built a first place unless company provide each employ work phone. It’s hard to trust what they can see or not after seeing this app change all my settings and have full access to my devise . I hate this and we should find way to avoid install this app on our personal device. Thanks!
