Reviewed on 9/11/19 2:05 PMApp is pretty plain. Don't get excited over this. If you're WWII buff, save your money...there are plenty of place online to view pics and 3 minute videos. Developers need to add more interesting content inside at of a few short clips that don't really teach you anything. Not worth $5 at all.

Reviewed on 9/11/19 2:05 PMFolks, the Nazis existed. The Holocaust happened. Removing "Nazi symbols" will do NOTHING to change that. I am so tired of people trying to rewrite history "so as not to offend anyone." I'm half German and I look at World War II as a dark stain on my heritage but also take it as a lesson: Evil MUST be confronted and STOPPED before it takes root and grows. To try to lessen the impact of the Nazis' evil is to forget the lessons of history and risk that kind of hatred and intolerance coming back. Put the swastikas and what-not back. We must NEVER forget and NEVER let that evil come back.

Reviewed on 9/11/19 2:05 PMI forget what I paid ($4.99?) but it sure was worth it. If you have any interest in history at all, this App is a great way to learn about WWII, with plenty of facts, photos, and Videos. Whoever put this together did a very good job, not wearying you with too many details but giving plenty-enough facts to help us better understand the conflicts involved. I had no idea that 70 million died in WWII. I think my husband will like the videos of all the war planes. I just like having a better understanding of this war. This will take some time though, as there's lots in this App to know (even pre-WWII stuff, like WWI). For about $5, I can't imagine a better and less expensive way get all this information. Many thanks to the developers!

Reviewed on 9/11/19 2:05 PMIncredibly well-designed app, as it is able to be extremely informative while maintaining the user's interest (and overall historical accuracy) by including a wealth of truly interesting - much never seen or heard before - audio/visual elements. Just an amazing find - not to mention tremendous value - for anyone at all interested in WWII, from the true novice to even the most well-versed historian. Could not recommend any more strongly.

Reviewed on 9/11/19 2:05 PMThis is a first-rate app by any standard! I am a hardcore WWII enthusiast and LOVE this app. It does a superb job of delivering information to the user in a concise and logical way, yet offers the user a chance to tap on a subject if they want to know more with TONS of really good pictures and videos and of course, text. Even better is that the information is ACCURATE and very well researched. The description as it is written in the App Store is right on with its list of highlights and features. Very easy to navigate and a great user experience. I just have to say that the user who gave this one star saying that it's just a collection of wikipedia articles is out of his mind and seems to miss what the purpose of this app is altogether, so fear not, it genuinely delivers. Where this app excels is in being thorough without getting to dull and bogging down the user with a bunch of information that is probably irrelevant to them. With all of the pictures, videos and text it keeps the user experience engaging and navigation is very intuitive. If you want to know what Panther tank production was at the Daimler factory in December 1944, then this doesn't go that deep. If you want to know that the Panther first saw action at the Battle of Kursk during the summer of 1943 and that's introduction was marred by mechanical problems, then yes, it goes that deep and will have some great photos and videos to boot. The photos and videos are very nice and not the same stuff you have seen a million times before. Some are familiar of course, but I was pleasantly surprised to see how much new material there was. The sheer volume of pictures makes this app worth it alone as you just aren't going to find anything even close anywhere else. So if you're worried that this might be a watered-down overview of WWII with 9 pages of stuff you already knew, fear not, you will certainly be pleasantly surprised. This app earned its 5 stars!
