Look, people already said what I know... Like the top review. I have all of those problems. So I'm not going to reiterate.

I love Wattpad so much but there’s one problem that I’m having a big issue with. When I read a book and finish it, I go back to the home page at at times it says, failed to load “home” which I press the try again button and nothing happens. I know I’m connected to good WIFi and I restart my phone to make sure it’s not the phone. This is very frustrating because I have to delete the app, re install just for it to happen again. This doesn’t happen often but when it does it often stays for weeks. I have the latest update so it can’t be that either.

Hundreds and hundreds of fantastic books. 10/5 greatly recogmend.

Apparently, other users are sending me messages on their message boards and It won’t show the updates for stories I follow! FIX IT!! WATTPAD PLEASE FIX THIS PROBLEM PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE

I love Wattpad. To say I love reading these Wattpad books is an understatement, but there are a few issues I have found to disrupt my reading. One, being that there are ads every other chapter. Like all other reviewers, I get that you guys have to make money, and so you have ads, but to put them after every other chapter has bothered me and makes me want to find a new app to read books for free. The second thing is when I pick a certain book to read sometimes it doesn’t even load and won’t allow me to read. And finally, when I’m reading and have to stop maybe midway through a chapter and do something, I come back to start up where I was but instead it takes me back to the beginning of the chapter and then I have to find where I left off. So, these are my only complaints about Wattpad, mostly being the glitch where it sends you back to the beginning of the chapter. Otherwise, I would have given Wattpad a 5 star review. I hope I can change my review around ( when and if you guys can fix these issues ) and in the mean time, I am going to be looking for a different app to use for reading until theses issues are resolved. I’m back. Again. I love wattpad. So much. I remember my best friend introducing Wattpad to me to read. I loved how it was a free reading app to indulge in a great book that is FREE. I get you guys have to put in ads from time to time to earn money from Wattpad. I don’t care for the premium features. What my main concern is that the quality of this FREE reading app has become so poorly because you guys had to “be greedy” and put in premium access and not focus on the people who can only afford Wattpad for free. When I open up the Wattpad app, I get so many notifications about people posting on “MY” board when it should really be on “THEIR” board and it’s starting to get irritating that it’s spamming me up. There’s no way to get rid of those notifications. I liked it better when it was just through emails. I have a question for you Wattpad developers. Who will use Wattpad if you have to pay for a less, pardon my language, s******* app to read and avoid all these constant ads?

I honestly love writing and reading on here but there are several problems. When I try to italicize some of my writing it does not work due to my preferred font, but I’m glad the bold function works with no troubles. The big problem is when I open the app it sometimes automatically tells me that there is no wifi connection when I have a brand new modem and hotspot that’s better than my old one. Another thing is that when I try to read or comment on new books, I can’t! It will continue to show the loading sign until I give up and close the app to try at opening a new story again. And when I try to comment, I can’t, it tells me that I’m not logged in so I log out and log right back in for it to tell me the same thing. Whatever you guys did when you updated the software has messed up me trying to communicate with other members and probably several others have the same issue. Deleting the app and downloading it again is not helping anymore. 😕

I’ve used Wattpad for a very long time now on all different kinds of phones, and it’s become my favorite app to read on. I absolutely love the feature where the menu goes away as you scroll down making the reading material the entire screen of the phone. I’ve used the app perfectly fine since I got my iPhone 7 a year ago, but lately when I use the app after about 10 minutes of reading or scrolling it starts to lag really bad and makes my phone super hot to the touch and crashes the app freezes and I am unable to close it in time. I would really really like to keep using this app since it’s always been my favorite to read on, but I can’t have my phone overheating every time I use or it’ll fry everything inside 😭

I love the Wattpad website, but the app has glitches and needs improvement. First, it needs the same ranking system as the website. The website shows you and ENTIRE list of your ranks. I wish you could see everything and not need to click on each individual tag. Second, it needs a colab option. Everyone has been asking, so why isn’t anything happening? Please listen to your faithful users! Third, I wish that when you upgrade you could choose from a whole color wheel of colors to really customize your account. Fourth, it needs all the emojis like any other app. It is missing them in two places. One the dm, and two in the conversations section. Fifth, I really wish you could send videos and photos in the chat. Sixth, why can’t we put our own videos from our devices in stories? That would be awesome and really handy. Seventh, the glitches lately have been insane. The app doesn’t even do what it’s supposed to do anymore! I can’t vote, comment unless I tap it three times, or even save book progress! A lot of times the main screen won’t even load. These are crucial issues to fix because they stand for the app as a whole, so if anything at least work on these ones!

Leaving the movie theater, Update and I decide to take the scenic route home and walk. Hand in hand, my head resting on Update’s shoulder through the near-empty streets. I know moments don’t get much better than this (they will when next Updated Update arrives.) Then, Update tells me to look up. The blackness around us is freckled in bugs and glitches. Tears stream down my face as the notification Failed to load ‘Home’ shines with its dull off-white background. It feels like I’ve stood here for years. I turn to Update horrified. “When will it stop?” I manage to choke out through my sobs. Update only smiles and shakes their head. I’m afraid. When will my Wattpad come back? All in all great app, loved it and used it every day. That is until an update comes. So far have gone four days without Wattpad. Honestly I’m not sure how I’m surviving, but I suppose this is a good separation. Wattpad has begun to become an addiction. Multiple google searches each day, clicking “try again” until my finger cramps, flickering my WiFi on and off just HOPING for a reaction. Maybe this is a wake up call for me to find a better hobby, but either way I will be waiting dutifully for your return. Your Dearest Fan

Legit lit for kpop stories😂❤️

This app has helped me express myself and share my creativity with people. I write a lot of poetry and even plan on majoring in English (because I want to become a poet.) However I don’t think I have many readers and after using the app for 4 years I still haven’t figured out how to promote my book “A Hot Cup Of Poetry” I don’t worry about it much considering it’s just my outfit but it would just be nice to have a few more people reading and giving me criticism and praise. Other than that I’m pretty happy with the last 4 years using this app, I’ve been able to watch how my poetry has improved over the years and I’m excited to see that continue!

This app is so good if u want to read many fan fics

I love wattpad and everything but the new update is stupid. I wake up with hundreds of messages saying someone pasted on my message board when they aren’t. It’s stupid, I think it should go back in the news feed. The only reason you should keep it is when the person chooses to get notifications from that specific person.

I really love this app!!! It has great stories and great authors too,I would highly recommend this app to anyone I have even recommended it to a lot of my friends so yea, you should get this great app

There are too many adds nowadays

I love Wattpad, the only thing I'm complaining about is the limited space in my library, the only way I can add more books is archive the ones that I've already finished, some of the books I've finished I end up rereading it. I wish the library has unlimited amount of space. Wattpad's notifications are slower than usual too, other than these problems, it's amazing! Updated review: My home screen is saying 'fail to load home' no matter how many times I click 'try again' it won't load. I even turned my phone off and nothing! Please fix this! I can’t check someone’s comment in the notifications section! If I click on it, the book stays on the loading screen! Updated review: 9/6/18 Every time I read a book, exit out of it, and open it up again the chapter I was on either kicks me back to the start or just puts me on some random page every. Single. Time. I know I’m not the only one you need to fix this ASAP. I keep getting notifications saying that people are writing on my message board when they’re not. It’s blowing up my notifications and I’m sick and tired of it. I’ve been on Wattpad for years and recently this app have giving me more problems then it ever has. People I follow are writing on their own message board but it’s sending to my notifications as if they are writing on my message board. Fix It!

Using wattpad has been a really good experience. I’ve been able to read other peoples work and overall, the app is really great. Besides that, I’ve had one problem while using wattpad and it’s that sometimes when i go onto the app it suddenly says that im not connected to a network and it can get really annoying because i have to get rid of the app and then download it again

wattpad, i love your app and i have been reading stories on my laptop/phone/tablet for many many years, but the update with premium involved is just dumb. ever since i updated the app, any time i try to leave the chapter i’m currently on (whether it be to check chapters, check the description, scroll to the next/last chapter, etc.) my phone freezes. i can’t read any of the books in my library because it’s just not even worth all the trouble, and also i know that it has been mentioned many times but the ads are very annoying. i got wattpad because it was “free” but now you are wanting your readers/writers to pay money to do basic things on the app like read books without ads or even just reading offline? frankly, that is so ridiculous. it would be better to just sell wattpad to someone and get the money if you want to be greedy, because this will just drive away all of your previously loyal readers/writers. this is like when toontown added a premium feature, but guess what? it was shut down anyway. all you are doing is ruining your business, and i hope that you aren’t so greedy but who can say. edit: after this last update, i can’t even open the books in my library.... edit 2: i returned to the app after i edited this review and now it also freezes whenever i want to go to any other menus. edit 3: finally wattpad works as it used to. idk what you guys did but it worked sincerely, i think i am switching to quotev for the time being :)

It horrible

I have been on wattpad for a while now and have loved everything about it! But if you update your phone you may want to delete and reinstall the app.

I love Wattpad and have been using it for awhile. I’m leaving a review now only because for the past few days the app has been unusable. I can’t load my home page or search for stories even though my connection is solid and I have full data. Don’t know why this is happening all of a sudden but it needs to get fixed.

Please stop sending message board updates to our notifications and not are email EVERYONE IS LEAVING and if all my favorite authors are gone I’m leaving too.

I keep receiving notifications that people wrote on my wall and when I go to verify it’s the authors I follow writing on their own walls. That’s what the news feed is for; I don’t care for every message every author has to say and I certainly don’t need 100 notifications with authors’ thoughts.

Whenever I try to get on Wattpad it won't let me on it. I click on the app to get into it, it loads up and then it just kicks me out of it! PLEASE FIX THIS NOW!!!!

I have been using and reading stories on wattpad from web. That means i always log in there after searching the page on google. But recently i installed the actual app on my phone, entered the username and password, everything is correct but when i click log in, it says my password is incorrect. I wrote my email too but same. But those are exactly the same info’s i used to write while using in web and there it opens, but in app it doesn’t.

Recently the stoys I have read have not been in the same place as I was before I closed the app or the book I was reading witch means I have to find where I left off this is very annoying. If Wattpad could fix this that would be great

If I'm going to be honest I don't have any issues.Everything is great no difficulty. I love the wide variety of stories I can pick from. In all is awesome.

I will I add a story of the author updates all the chapters at once because the notifications get to crazy and it blows up my phone. And it won’t let me remove the story from my library. I’m so tired of it. Happens a lot.

I can’t read stories on it any more because my account was deleted by my sister and when I tried to sign up again it said my email was invalid so you should do something about that

Do you know why everyone is getting notified everytime someone posts something? I keep getting notifications saying “so and so has left the following comment on your message board” but it’s actually on the persons profile and has nothing to do with me at all whatsoever and it’s annoying. I wake up to like 200+ notifications everyday that I don’t even care about and it’s so annoying 😒😠 ..

I’ll be using Wattpad for like 30 minutes and then it gets all glitchy and freezes and makes my phone hot and it’ll be stuck for a few minutes and I can’t exit the app or turn my phone off. It’s kind of super annoying so yeah!

I’ve noticed that a lot of people are complaining about the ads but I’m used to them and it could’ve been a lot worst to be honest. Also one thing I really want in the next update since I often don’t have time to actually read and I often multitask can you input a text to speech feature for users even if they don’t have the pro version but other than that it’s actually a good app for writing and reading.

I have used Wattpad for a few years now and have seen it go through many different stages both good and bad. Unfortunately right now I’ve been in a bad stage. I REPEAT “I” have been in a bad stage. It may be different for others but... When using the Covers App and I assign my cover to my story it continues to say “Failed”. A lot of people have had problems with losing story parts, which is still a problem. Another thing is when I have several gifs in one chapter it will not load all of them and so I can’t leave the chapter nor can I publish it, because my gifs haven’t loaded. It’s probably a problem that’s easily solved, but I haven’t found it and it’s kind of annoying at this point 😅 Other than that, it’s a good app for reading and writing stories. I give 4 stars.

I’m not sure if it’s just me but my phone does not like Wattpad. I can never stay on the app too long because it’ll cause my phone to heat up, slow down and eventually the app will freeze. Wattpad is the only app that does this. Wattpad doesn’t save my spots in some of my books. Other than that I absolutely love the app. It’s definitely one of my favorites.

I hate the update where author messages are notifications. I like that feed to just be updated stories.

Please fix the notification system for the message board, I’m getting spam notifications from every single author that posts on their message board, but the notification will say they wrote on MY message board. And there’s no way to turn off the notification for that unless you unfollow the author, and if you follow hundreds of authors it’s extremely bad. Also, the app is running very slow and freezing up, tho that started about 2 months ago. Please fix the bugs

I wanted to get back to reading independent books again and remembered this reading app helped me overcome a horrible breakup so I downloaded the app again and I’m sad to see that it’s not longer free how disappointing the adds are so annoying and it’s just sad to see how greed takes over all the good things especially a reading app that I’m sure helped so many people forget about their problems like myself. I can’t even read a story without adds and it doesn’t even let me read the chapters. Just don’t even make it free anymore. Just say you have to go premium in order to freaking read independent stories.

Wattpad is a good app but, lately the app has been acting up ever since the last couple updates. Each time I come back I have to restart my book because it doesn't update my reading positions. And when searching for books with tags, I get NOTHING when I put completed for the tags. But when I don't I come across several books in the same category with tags that say completed. And as of recent, my home page keeps failing to load. Infact i dont even see da home page anymore it jus says failed to load.

I love Wattpad but lately it’s been a bit glitchy. When I am in the middle of a chapter and I exit the book, and then come back it is at the beginning of the chapter and not on the same page I left off on. Can you please fix this?

Ever since this new update everyone messages for their message board has been coming to my notifications and it’s very irritating!!! I’ve lost so many followers because of it since everyone doesn’t want their messages to get blown up with notifications of people ranting on their message boards. This is a big let down and Wattpad has also been deleting my books.

I’ve complained I haven’t gotten the e-mail to confirm my account for 2 days now, the e-mail is right, and still no confirmation e-mail. I have complained on the page and asked for help, no one has tried to help me or contact me about my questions. I have complained on Twitter with the official page, no help either. If after today I don’t get any help or answers I’ll just delete the app. So disappointed. 😒

I love this app but with this new update it doesn’t save where you were reading and starts at the beginning of the chapter. It’s really annoying cause it is hard to find the place you left. Please fix!!!

So i’ve been trying to add videos but it keeps saying it’s restricted and to try and log in with a google account. Can you fix this because some of my stories require these videos.

I prefer to get notifications on updated books and not a super talkative author who post on their message board everyday instead of updating 😒😕. Other then that I love the app👌🏾😂😂

I love this app! It is the perfect place for beginner writers to post their work. And it's great for more seasoned writers as well! I don't really like how some of the options and features are now unavailable with the newer updates unless you pay for premium. As someone who has no money, it is quite annoying. But overall I love it. I've made many friends, and my writing has improved so much after using this site. Great app, I would definitely recommend it. P.S. I love the story that the staff is writing in the updates. Could that please get updated (lol) soon? The last couple app updates haven't included an update to that story.

I get notifications that someone posted on my message board when it was posted to theirs. It’s getting to the point that my last books updates are lost because of all messages. I am starting to think that the books I am reading will be me missing the update because I think it’s just another so and so posted on your message board when it was posted on theirs. FIX THIS!!!!

Hello, I’ve been using wattpad like many others for years. I’ve never had a problem with ads or too many crashes although sometimes it can be a bummer. Recently, Every time I go to the home page, it won’t load or will say “failed to load try again”. Of course, this makes it very difficult to find and browse new books to read, i hope the wattpad team is doing their best as always to fix this bug. Thank you.

I use this app the most out of all of my apps. One thing that would be cool is if readers can comment gifs on the stories.

I LOVE Wattpad... the only thing is... every time I get to the middle of a chapter and I turn my phone off and leave it off for a little bit, I’ll usually reopen it to find myself back at the start of the chapter. Please fix this, I really love this app and everything, that’s the only issue I have been having so far. Thank you for your time 😊

So I’m having the issue that every time I leave a book it goes back to the top of the page making me have to scroll back to my previous spot. Then I also can’t get rid of books from my archived, even after removing the book it reappears once my archived reloads. Just really annoying to have to deal with, have a great time.

I absolutely love Wattpad. It’s an amazing app, and a great safe place to write your feelings. But lately, myself and other authors have been receiving message board notifications from other accounts. It’s not even like we’re tagged in the post. We just randomly receive them from hundreds of other accounts. Please fix. Other than that, this is a great app. Definitely not worth taking off a star for one minor annoyance.

I like this app, but lately it hasn't been saving my progress on chapters. Whenever I click on a book in my library, it takes me to the very top of the chapter. It's really annoying, especially with chapters with 2k+ words. Also, I ALWAYS get video ads with no content that just randomly pop up on my screen. I have to close out of them, and then more pop up. Sometimes it's just audio. Seriously, this app's quality is going downhill

I use to love Wattpad so much that I would go on it everyday, but all of a sudden there’s way too many ads, and Wattpad is making my phone slow. Every time I’m on the app it’s very slow, and sometimes freezes my phone. Like I said before, I use to go on this app everyday, but now I don’t even want to go on it anymore. Another thing I’m experiencing is when I comment I can’t because it says this user is not logged in. I log out and log back in but it still says the same thing! PLEASE FIX!

I think that this app is awesome you can search up any type of story you want you can a book publish one and it’s over all awesome if you are looking for a really good book maybe not in library’s or anything in general then I highly recommend 😊🌈♥️

Why is there a BTS fanfic in the cover 💀💀💀

I have used this app for about a year now... I have noticed that about a month ago that ads have been included. I honestly have no problem with that but. It happens every 5 seconds especially in the middle of the story. The ads some times crashes the app. I would also like for it to be able to save books offline especially when I’m on vacation.

I’ve been using Wattpad for around four years, and I’ve always loved that it was free. I understood that ads had to be shown so the company was making some profit, and I thought it was okay that Premium was added but it didn’t take away from those who didn’t want it. However, in the most recent update, I saw that they were testing a feature where you can only unlock chapters one at a time unless you purchase the whole book. I think this really takes away from what I loved about Wattpad– free literature for those who loved reading but couldn’t always afford to get to the bookstore, but I think it’s especially unfair to the authors to have the company profiting off of their work. I understand that profit has to be made, but I don’t think I’ll continue using Wattpad if I have to pay to continue to read stories at my own pace.

Before I downloaded Wattpad, I was a normal person 😂😂😂. Free of fandoms and fan fiction. Now I’m trapped. I literally CANNOT LIVE without this app. It’s amazing and it just completes me 😍😍😍.

I’ve had Wattpad for years now and I throughly enjoy it. However I have had several instances where a story has been deleted as well as chapters. I am highly displeased with this since I’ve spent so long on these stories just to find them gone. I hope this issue is resolved but for now I would not recommend writing anythjnf!

The video ads are ridiculous. I don’t mind the picture ads between chapters, but when you put in videos, you’re disrupting the entire reading process. FanFiction.Net and AO3 don’t need ads like this, and wattpad really shouldn’t either.

Whenever I use this Wattpad app, and I’ll read along any stories, i say for at least not over 10 to 15 mins it makes my iPhone overheat.

This app is amazing for reading things you love as well as writing stories that come to mind and making them into books. Recommend it for book lovers!!!

So there’s this glitch where it “restarts” your story but it doesn’t change the parts but just removes everything the tag, title, description, category etc It annoys me a lot when it happened. It happened a couple minutes ago that’s why I’m writing this review right now. Do you think you can fix that it’s annoying. I had loads of tags too

This app is annoying most of the time. Whenever I finish reading a new chapter in a story or if I stop midway through the chapter. It takes me back to the beginning of the chapter when I go back to reading the book. And another problem I have is when I go to archive a book that I have finished reading. The books sometimes get deleted from my archives.

Home does not load “Failed to load Home” “Click to retry” infinite loop

So i love the app but I notice when I read a story a few days later on a different device I go to read the next chapter and either the book is not in my library or it says I haven’t read it at all. :/

I’m reading a lot here but it doesn’t save where I stopped. It just stops in the beginning of the chapter. Plz fix this

Ok I LOVEEEE this app but.. whenever I exit my app the page in the chapter I was on doesn't save! So every time I log in and press on the book, I have to scroll on the way down and find the paragraph where I had stopped! Please help me!

No recently added tap for iPhone 6s .... I cant get to the books I just discovered on another device on my new phone !

It’s a good app but the new update is poo and it’s so annoying I’m thinking one of my boos updated but it’s some random posting some s***** stuff on my wall

No matter what device I use, every time I use wattpad, my phone/tablet heats up a lot, and really fast. I can’t even search for anything without the battery overheating. This needs a definite fix!

I love Wattpad, it’s just that I can’t use it anymore due to the app locking me out. When I was using the app, it said, “User not logged in” even though I am. So I tried refreshing the page a few times but I still got the same result. Then I tried to log out and log back in again. But when I typed in my password, it kept saying that it was incorrect! I tried multiple times until I decided to reset my password, but the reset password email was never sent to me! I have no idea what the problem is, but please, please, please fix this problem soon! Everyone’s going nuts about the message board thing. It’s ridiculous I’ve slready turned off that notification in my settings! Everyone’s being spammed and everyone hates it. IT NEEDS TO BE FIXED IMMEDIATELY.

Wattpad is a good app. I found this app when I was lost and as I explored the app I connected with people through commenting on fantastic stories, however, there has been minor glitches. Sometimes it says that I have exceeded the amount of vote and I don’t get to vote on the stories that I enjoy and it’s really annoying. And sometimes when a video is going to pop up it doesn’t and then I have to wait for an annoyingly long time to continue to the next chapter. But despite these glitches I will rate it a 5 star because honestly wattpad has become to place where I go to recollect my thought on a c***** day. Anyways that’s all I have to say

So I’ve been using wattpad for 5 months on my new account and this recent update is really ticking me off along with many others. The update being that whenever somebody posts a message on their message board we get the notification in our notifications, and because of that, my inbox has been blowing up and I then I can’t see what things I actually wanted like book updates unless I scroll through hundreds of notifications, It would’ve been better to move those notifications for Message Boards to the News feed rather it being the Notifications

I was a Wattpad user for almost a full year. I used Wattpad until just recently when some of my works were deleted without warning. Here I am now to claim a simple truth. DON’T GET THIS APP, the devs are lazy, the community is turning puristic, and they only lie around all the problems. One of my friends had his account deleted by Wattpad after writing a petition to make minor changes. I quit Wattpad with good reason, and I don’t recommend it to anyone except total masochists. I’d rather die than use it another second.

This update where it shows what people post on their own message board but appears on your notification tab is annoying, I think it would be better if it had its own tab, it's a good idea but not when it's jumbled in with people's books updates and whatever else, it should just have its own tab.

So many people have noticed that you can now see other people’s mists on their message boards. Many find it annoying so I was just wondering if you could add something to disable receiving them.

I love this app so much, but lately there has been a glitch where it says someone wrote on my message board. But, it turns out to be someone that I’m following and they write on either their message board or someone else’s. Not a huge concern, but I would be grateful to have it fixed.

Yeah uh I have like 500 notifications in my inbox and legit it’s all blah blah blah posted on their message board. Please fix this!

This is great the story and the people there are amazing. I made some great friends and read amazing stories. Not only that. I get to write down my own stories and share it with people. I really Love Wattpad

I love wattpad and have been using it for 6 years but there are a few issues with the new update. There should be a separate notifications tab for comments and such on my own work so I can see all the likes and respond to the comments easily. The other notifications (updates on work I follow, updates on an author’s message board) should have a separate notifications tab so it isn’t as crowded.

I love Wattpad, but recently there has been a problem with my notifications. I don’t know if it’s a glitch or this was intentional, but I’m getting notifications when someone posts on their message board and it says they are posting on mine. This is very annoying due to the fact that people love to post so many times a day and due to this, I can’t see when a book is getting updated because I have 100 notifications about someone’s day or rants on their message bored. Please fix this Wattpad, it’s extremely extremely extremely annoying and irritating.

I have tried deleting my old account so I could make a new one. Every time I try to use my email to make a new account it says it’s already registered, then when I look up my old profile it isn’t deleted. Please do something about this!!

My phone is getting unusually very hot only when I'm reading stories and I have to get off in fear it will damage my phone. Also, it takes a bit to even load the story. Please fix these issues.

Read the update description and I really hope that you’re really not thinking about making people pay for stories. It’s not right. There are people who can’t afford things. Even if it’s cheap their money could be going food and things. Please don’t charge people to read good stories. Writers go to Wattpad to show people their work not to get paid.

Sometimes on Wattpad when your reading or just scrolling it will stop for a while then turn black or exit the app.This happens often also deleting what you read after awhile and moving the book all the way to the bottom of the list.And the ads o** they get on my nerves having to wait til the ad is over or it takes you to an random site. But over all the experience of being able to read up coming writers or people that just have an Nook for writing is pretty great.

I made a new account and I set everything up but every time I got to comment on the message board it’s says I have to confirm my email and when I try to get a confirmation nothing happens

I actually like that we’re notified on Wattpad when someone writes on their message board. Maybe include a choice where you can receive notifications when someone writes on their message board. If there was a way to remove books you don’t want to read or see, that would be great too!

Absolutely I like this app. I thought it’s gonna be one of those apps that won’t let you make up your own books, but This is just the app I wanna be in. I had this app sensed this year 2018 and by far it’s starting to make me learn more about writing books and actually Really wants me to write books in real life now over the fact that I’m 13 so I have to wait. I write on there and I also read a lot, but every time I go to my notifications list, there's nothing but what people I follow write on their message boards, but they say they wrote it on mine. So this will happen while I’m reading, usually any story, most of the time ones that don’t even have ads on them. And all of a sudden, there will be audio playing of a girl, saying “warning, do not enter this game if your under 13 years old” and I have to exit the app and enter back in so it won’t play any more. I’m confused, because I don’t have anything playing in the background, and it just happens while I’m reading, not during chapter breaks.

I understand the point of ads in the app, but it’s super annoying for the ads to stop your background music. The worst part is that only some ads do this, so you never know when your music stops for a s***** ad to play.

I love the books on here and love how it is ive been using it for years and have never come across any other site that I love as much as this ...im still working on my writing but on rhe meantime I love getting to read other peoples work

I am obsessed with wattpad! There are so many amazing books on this app. I have never been a person who loves reading but on wattpad it’s SO DIFFERENT to the point were I find myself craving to read the next chapter or I am sad to finish a book. The stories on here take you to another place and it’s absolutely fantastic.

I have been a off and on reader of wattpad for 5 years and I love it because it’s an awesome place to read stories but recently I have been having a problems I can deal with it’s the ads when they load but when they don’t I am sitting there waiting for it or there are other times that I skip some chapters and I can’t and only once I have watched an ad can I and my app seems to like to freeze witch is very annoying especially when I’m in the middle of reading a story or looking for a specific book that I heard about I love the app but these problems have been interfering with my reading experience and it’s very annoying

The new update where you get notifications if people write on their message board is really stupid. Like it makes me think that the books in my library have been updated. I don’t really care about what people put on their message boards because it doesn’t affect me. So could you please fix this.

I LOVE Wattpad and have been using it for a number of years now and most recently, I have noticed my notifications tab is FILLED with people writing on their message boards. I don’t want to see that, I can never find when a book I am reading is updated and it is really frustrating. If there is some way to fix this please help! I want to be able to read stories in peace and not have to dig through literally 100s of notifications

I got this app a few years ago and it has not failed me in the slightest when it comes to entertainment. It is easy to read on as well as write.

But there should be an option where writers can’t upload a story without finishing it

There has been a lot of bullying and people telling each other to k*** themselves. Faking hate accounts..and so much more. If you please stop this bullying then that’d be great. The app overall is really good, it’s just i’ve been getting a lot of ads lately. But yeah, it’s pretty goods deserves the 4 stars

It’s an amazing app but since the update, I’ve been having issues. The app doesn’t bookmark where I leave off when I close out of the app and go back into it, it does that with every chapter and every book. It takes me to the start of the book which can be frustrating when it’s a 50+ paged chapter. When I comment I get an error saying to try to resend it because of not being able to connect or something like that. I went to here to see if I’m the only one and it seems like I’m not...I hope the new update comes soon and these issues gets fixed. [going to edit every time there’s an update until they fix it...and each update they don’t fix it, they lose a star...until it’s at one star but still...] Edit; seems like they updated today...didn’t really do much it seems...(August 28th, 2018) Edit; They finally fixed the problem after so long and probably several complaints from others...(September 19th, 2018 update)

I don’t know if this is just my phone but whenever I exit Wattpad and go back to my story, let’s say I was halfway through, it would put me back to the beginning, leaving the inconvenience of me trying to find my spot. Other than that it is a great app.

Hi, I made a account called YaBoiBomy237 (or something like that) and made a long password. I wanted to log in into my account of PC. Problem was I didn’t write down the password. I tried to make another account with my same E-mail and didn’t work since my other account was still using that same G-mail. I was kinda ticked off at that moment. I don’t know if you guys ban users for reasons but if they wanted to make another account (and learned their lesson after the ban) and used the same E-mail. But of course, it was not work. Please patch this, I had to switch to some other site to read stories.

I was on youtube just watching a video without touching my screen this app opened by its self. I do not know why, but please do not do that. I may have an idea as to why, so i advice that gets fixed.

I love Wattpad, being able to experiment with my writing and virtually meet new people, and I feel tremendously grateful for Wattpad being created like you have no idea. But so far as I look through the comments section, I see that there are kids up to 8 years old using Wattpad. There are a lot of books that contain mature content. My concern of this is that kids might take scenes from books seriously instead of thinking or learning the fact that it's just a story. Shouldn't there be an age restriction code or something? Okay so one time when I went on wattpad I had 100+ notifications and I got all excited so I looked at my notifications and I saw that it said “(random username here) wrote on your message board:” and then when I click on it, they didn’t write on my message board, they wrote on theirs/someone else’s. So basically I’m getting everyone that I follows notifications for message boards and it gets pretty irritating.

I honestly LOVE Wattpad , don’t get me wrong, but I’m having a few difficulties the app. My reading list for when I go to lookup stories are like “your search didn’t match any reading lists” and I’m like huh? It used to work but now I don’t know what it is. But overall great app. Just wish that my reading list thing would work

I love the app but, the responses are prolonged. Once I click on the app, all messages appear plus I set it up in a notification on my phone and still its slow. Then, the pictures don't look on the chapter I have to repost them. That is my main concern otherwise its a useful app.

I love Wattpad but when I deleted it by accident I had to sign in my account is said “Password wrong” which it wasn’t, I pressed “forgot password” and it would send me an Email, I’ve never go the email, and I made a new account I logged out to see if I can sign in my old account and couldn’t and when you log out before the new update it would show your email you used and have the password ready for you and stuff like that to log in, but now since there’s an update it changed I’m not happy about this

Like many others, I’m not able to comment because it tells me that I’m not logged in.

In the "notification feed" between "news feed" and "messages", it keeps showing the things people I follow post on their message board even though I set my notifications so that I only get that for when people post on MY board and when I get replies to comments. The little symbol that comes under it is the same one that goes under the replies, but idk if that’s normal for when it’s set so that you get it. I’m fine with having it in my new feed, but now I have to scroll through all of these repetitive and spammy messages to get to replies and so on (and I don’t want to unfollow these accounts either!). It’s annoying, maybe I’m just missing something in the settings but, if I’m not and it’s just some new update thing, I’d gladly give 5 stars when it’s fixed. (I’m not checking this for grammar, so enjoy all of the extra commas and shiz)

Oi, I absolutely love this app and would love to rate it 5 stars, but with the new update that sends you full on notifications on your notifications board instead of your news feed with the mb status is really bothering others, people have tried to turn of the message board update notifications but they still get the messages, its bothering me, and many others because there are a lot of people on here that dont care about people’s statuses or news, please change this back to the way it was before.

I love Wattpad likes it one of my fav apps but the new update where you can see peoples message board can you maybe rethink that? Or maybe just make it where we can delete it likes please!! I’ve been using this app for more than 2 years now and OMG! I feel so inspired by people’s stories and I decide to write my own.

Every time they update saying they fix I problem I never have... I suddenly have the problem and have to wait until it’s “fixed” again. Then maybe a week later I’ll have that same problem. They should also let you use video’s from you phone because I don’t want to post them on YouTube in order for me to use them.

There are many books, fanfics, smuts and stories that connect the reader to the character. No one book, fanfic, s*** and/or story is always going to be suited to the readers taste and that’s a great thing because the reader will find their favorites and be able to tell their friends about it irl or on Wattpad. Not many stories are taken down by the team, that’s a good thing because if someone is dealing with loss, they can go find a story that’s related to a similar loss and connect with them.

Alright, I can not stress enough about how much you NEED this app. I am obsessed and been using it for a few months. There are some bugs here and there that should be fixed, but overall I will give this a 5 stars. On behalf of the fan girls, I could say that this app has the best fan fiction. And if your not into fan fiction, they have tons of other genres, anything from love to horror. This app is also good for expressing your inner creativity, and makes writing books fun and easy to share. Here is a tip that I wish I knew before reading watt-pad stories. ‘Smutt’ is a very... ahem... interesting genre? ‘Fluff’ is adorable And (y/n) stands for your ‘name.’

I’ve been on Wattpad for 3 years now and I absolutely love it. There are many great fan fictions and even some personal stories. It’s easy to read and write, but I have come across some problems. 1. It’s rather hard sometimes to find a fanfiction. You can check up a ship (_x_) and only popular stories pop up. It’s hard to search through the many stories on there to find the right one. 2. For some reason while I’m writing and I use italics, it never stays. Even if I wait a few minutes so I’m positive it saved the changes, it still doesn’t save. Quite a bust for me. That’s about it, but overall I think it’s an amazing app and definitely recommend it to nerds all over!

Every time I try to add a new book to my private library it’s shows that it can’t and tells me to address the issue. Just want to say that’s it’s extremely annoying and fix it

I like this app since its been one of my main reading sources. There are only a few issues with it that I have been having with it like when I scroll down the Home menu to view recommendations etc, the app starts to lag to the point that it becomes barely responsive but the biggest issue I’m having with this app is that it literally kills my battery. When I open this app and start reading I watch as my percentage go down a number every minute or less and Ive been using the iPhone 6S Plus 128gb Model. Sure, it might be the battery but none of the other apps that I have eat as much power as this app does including games. Overall, if it wasn't for issues it would have been a solid 5 Stars.

I love this app but why all of a sudden do the messages from authors you follow come into your notifications page where the book updates are posted. I actually really hate it. It would be cool if you could put them in ulterior messenger part so I at least think I’m popular. Lol. Anyways I have this app for years and love it. There’s recently been an update and I get spammed with “someone recently posted on your message board” when no one has. I know that’s the actual update but please, take it away. It’s annoying. I get spammed with notifications that are useless and sometimes I miss important ones. I’ve been using Wattpad for 5 years and I love it, but this update really makes me want to delete the app and go write my stories somewhere else. And there’s way too many ads. Even when I’m reading my own stories I’ll get an ad every two or three chapters, and I hate it because I don’t want ads on my stories. Please tone it down a little.

The age rating is a little high for the app... Ik there’s some bad stuff in stories but a lot of 13-14 year olds know a lot about that stuff... so maybe it would be better to lower the age rating.?

Wattpad is a great app. But, it also needs improvement. It only needs improvement because I can see other post on their message board in public and it assume that they texted me off of my posting board. Also some of the authors say when they update Wattpad often deletes their updates. Trust me Wattpad is a great app it’s just problems that need to be fixed. Don’t let my comment stop you from downloading Wattpad. You never know you might enjoy Wattpad too.

i used to live on this app until y’all started adding things like ads in the middle of stories and started putting message board notifications from other people’s posts on my notification tab. now i can barely find story updates or comments on my books in my notifications because it’s all drowned out by what used to go in my newsfeed where it was fine. not to mention the “user not logged in” issue that happens every time i try to comment something. instead of doing all of this useless stuff and shoving ads down our throat, you should try to incorporate things that we actually have been asking for, like the ability to actually block users to where they can’t see your stories, or improving the messaging system. this app really went downhilll.

It was better before the app updated a long time ago. I’ve been using this app for at least 5 years and this is the slowest most laggy I’ve felt it. It really takes away from reading and finding new stories, which I really enjoy. I don’t mind the ads, but I wished it would load faster.

I really hate the new update like why TF do I need to get a notification when someone writes something on their board!? And this app is super glitchy like when I write something it puts space in it and I hate that the MOST, so could you please fix it and get rid of the notifications! okay, so apparently, everyone has recently been experiencing this and it’s driving everyone insane. the problem is when someone post something on their message board, it glitches and it’ll pop up in your notifications saying they posted on your message board when they didn’t ‘cause if you click on it, it’ll send you to their own personal message board. this has really been a problem for all wattpad users and lately, everyone has been giving threats off to the verified wattpad account on the app. from disrespectful comments in the books, to tagging them on their own message board and even more beyond that. please, could you do something about it because the app isn’t bad, it just has had very bad issues lately this past year. once again, i know i’m not the only one who has experience this but please, try and do something. the “new update” has been a problem... a big one and i just wanted to report that, since no one else won’t do it the “professional” way and just throw hateful commands here and there. i hope this helps and the problem will be fixed soon. thank you!

i can’t even log into my account half of the time and as of right now i can’t log in with my email it’s not sending anything . and then half the time my page isn’t even loading so i can see my other books . update : it won’t save the page that i last read on .....

This is FatherGrim, a ruined Wattpad user who’s lost everything. I tried to petition Wattpad to change their rules on roleplaying and now they have deleted my account. I only wanted to help Wattpad, but now I’m going to ruin it. Everyone should know, Wattpad is a cruel tyrant who will only oppress you with its rules and cruel behaviors. I tried to reason with them, it failed; I tried to talk with them, it failed; I tried to petition a change, it failed. This app only ruins people, and now I’m going to ruin it. I wanted to be a kind and caring wattpadder, but now I can’t even do that anymore. I would rather die in a gutter for a good cause, than use Wattpad another second.

I noticed with the last update I am getting a gazillion notifications about people posting on my message board, however that is not the case it’s their message board not mine. So please fix. Secondly I am also not receiving notification about books that I am following being updated. I checked my notifications and I had not been notified. That’s really annoying. Please fix. Other than this love the app it’s great.

I’ve been writing on Wattpad for a long tome now but just recently they updated the app and fortunately none of my stories have been deleted but others have. I keep getting notifications from other people’s message boards and it’s getting obnoxious. I love Wattpad but if they don’t change something, the app is going to become less fun.

At the time of the posting of this review, it's been less than a day since the last update where the issues with the notifications thing and the deleting of entire books and accounts were supposedly resolved. But if that was the case I wouldn't be here now would I? >:( You know, I've gotten my patience thinned and here's the biggest issue, fellow Wattpad users, just take a good look at the responses the developers have made to some of these comments. Check at their dates and you'll see that not only are made apparently at times before the issue first came up (an example would be one i found that dated back to January but was responding to a comment made 19+ hours after my first review) they are also clearly responses made by bots instead of actual human beings. That made me so infuriated I had to bite my own lips to prevent myself from screaming to the heavens and waking my neighbors. I'm still gonna use Wattpad, but only out of loyalty to the people who I made connections with on there, my friends. I don't stay for the app anymore. And until this issue is resolved, that is how it will be. And that one star rating ain't going anywhere either. If I could, I've be giving it a half star rating. THAT'S HOW ANGRY I AM!!! F*ck Wattpad.

I have forgotten my password and tried to reset it multiple times, yet I still haven’t gotten any emails stating how to reset it. I have done everything the support group has told me to do, I even logged out of Wattpad, and now I can’t get in!! I am very mad because Wattpads support group sent me the same email over and over again. I hope in you’re next update you can fix this instead of promoting 18+ stories.

Yes, there may have been people who have already sent a review about this, but it’s seriously a problem for me too. I love Wattpad, don’t get me wrong, but when it suddenly started to show all the messages from many users, to people who don’t even follow those people, that’s where it’s a big problem. I love Wattpad, the only thing I'm complaining about is the limited space in my library, the only way I can add more books is archive the ones that I've already finished, some of the books I've finished I end up rereading it. I’ve been using Wattpad for many years, but until recently I’ve came across a huge problem that has become extremely frustrating. When reading a chapter and closing out of the app it doesn’t go back to the place I originally was but it goes to the beginning of the chapter. Please fix this!

Wattpad is an amazing app! It's great for reading and writing. I love it. And yes, I'll admit that there are a few bugs here and there, but the rest of the app makes up for it. Great app, it was definitely worth downloading!!! However, my Wattpad has gotten REALLY laggy. I can't keep the app open and when I try to write, comment, look up new books, or open a book in my library, the entire app closes. It's not my internet because my other apps work fine and don't kick me off but Wattpad does. UPDATE: My Wattpad no longer does this. It turns out the problem was the device I was using, and when I upgraded my phone(due to other reasons), Wattpad worked fine and didn’t crash.

Dead Wattpad, Please for the love of g** FIX THIS APP, i’ve been a wattpad user for a solid 5 years and it’s just been going downhill this year. Firstly it was the ads not loading and stoping me from reading, luckily that was fixed. Now it’s my home page not loading, when i post a comment it says “failed to post” or something along those lines causing me to have to keep retrying until it posts. Second thing is my pages, wattpad no longer saves the page i was reading on it just skips back to the beginning of the chapter which is really inconvenient and ANNOYING. Lastly the message board updates, i do not CARE about what people had for dinner or what famous kpop star is having a birthday that day, i have turned off updates from profiles i follow but i still get the notifications. I love wattpad dearly and recently with the updates when I try to change my book cover or profile picture I noticed that it has been coming out blurry and out of focus no matter the size I put it. Please fix it so that it can come out as clear as it did before the recent few updates and all the adds. Also can you please bring back letting gifs be in the chapter covers, it will be very much loved and welcomed. Thanks for listening to me and keep up the good work.

Wattpad is amazing!! I love to write my stories and my fanfictions on here!! I get a lot of feedback on what my readers like and what they want as well. Also there’s a lot of stories to choose from as well! I will read a minimum of 12 stories a week. It’s just that amazing and I love this app so much.

The newest update has made wattpad really slow and laggy and it takes a while to register after you have tapped something. It’s really annoying especially on the profile part. Please have another update asap ;-;

It’s a great app I love it! The only problem is that the it causes my phone to overheat, and then the app will start to glitch if I’m on it for a little while. That’s the only problem I have with it, but other than that there are thousands of talented writers on here, and I love how that people are able to use this app to express themselves and distribute their talents to everyone.

Lately they chapters I’ve been readying they don’t stay where I felt off they go to the beginning of the chapter which is really making me up. I don’t want have to read a whole chapter to figure out where I left off

Buckle up, kiddos. 1. Reading position doesn’t save. That’s annoying. 2. I randomly get redirected to an app on the App Store when I’m in the middle of a chapter and I haven’t clicked on anything. That’s also annoying. 3. Videos will also play randomly when I’m in the middle of a chapter and haven’t clicked on anything. It’s mostly advertisements for p*** sites ... with volume. That is especially annoying. 4. My phone overheats and freezes and glitches when I’m in the middle of reading. I can’t exit the app or turn my phone off to get out of it. That’s annoying too. 5. Most annoying of all is the fact that my notifications are blowing up with “posts from my Message Board” except it’s posts from people I follow on their Message Board. Plus, I didn’t sign up for wanting notifications on my Message Board in the first place, or updates from profiles I follow. I have both of them toggled off on the app, but I still get them. Extremely annoying. I know that seems harsh but I mean it in the kindest way!! I really do love Wattpad with all my heart, but I just want you to know what’s up and what you might want to focus on (hint: #5, literally no one wants it. I follow 200 people and I don’t want to know what they had for breakfast or who they saw at the mall). Thanks!!

The app on my phone is glitching. It’s slowing down when I try to comment something and then freezes a little bit when I try to move to edit while still typing before I hit send (if that made any sense). Everything else is perfect tho. No other complaints.

I can’t leave a book saved in my library without reopening it to find my place saved at the beginning of that chapter. Please fix whatever loading and saving bug this is. Thank you. Edit: Even after the update, it STILL doesn’t remember the exact point in the story I left off. Only the chapter I was on. For example, if I was near the bottom of the chapter and left that book to see my notifications, when I’d click back on that book I was reading, I am back at the beginning of the chapter! Ok, I’m a long time user. I love Wattpad and I write and read a lot. But lately, I can’t comment without it saying I’m not logged in, can never see my home page because “no connection”. These are my main issues. If fixed I’ll give 5 stars. Just..please fix soon because I love Wattpad too much to not be able to use it properly.

I use this app all the time and I honestly can’t get enough of it. The people who I interact with on here really get me even if they don’t really know me and it really helps when I just need to blow off some steam because I can rant about it and not everyone is gonna just move on about their day and just ignore the fact that I’m hurting and I’m having a panic attack or break down or I’m just simply hurting and need someone and I honestly think these people care more than my family. For some reason I keep getting a strange glitch that has the loading sign between each chapter and it pops up the screen multiple times. When I try commenting something, it slows down everything, and some chapters on books I was reading were repeating...is something wrong?

Maybe if the creator just said what was new with a simple bulleted list, you’d be able to actually know about new features properly.

There are no way to sort books by view count, or any way to set the about of parts you are looking for. You can only filter by 1- 10, 10-20, 20-50, and 50+ and when it was last updated and that is it.

Its a good app but im mostly getting “user not logged in” errors when im in fact logged in please fix this! Its getting soooo annoyinnggg

So whenever I’m reading a story, I’m not able to read while I play a video in the middle of the story, I mean it’s really f**king annoying when it does that cause it ruins the pace of the story, can you fix this please.

For the pass few months, I’ve been opening Wattpad to the home screen stating that I’m not connected. There was no issues with my WiFi connection. Everything else work fine. It does not show anything at all except that it was not connected. I’ve been waiting for it to be fix. But more than month later it’s still showing the same problem. No connection. I love this app. It have provided with many great stories. I want to have that experience again. Find a great book to get lost into.

i’ll skip going on about how great this app is - it IS, but what annoys me is that for some unknown reason, notifications of people writing on their message boards have popped up in the app. Okay, so I brushed it off and went to turn that off in the notification settings. But it still alerts me everytime someone writes on their message board! It is incredibly infuriating - the app itself says I do not have notifications turned on for it, yet here I am receiving far too many alerts about things i really couldn’t be bothered about (sorry!). I have come to like wattpad, but i'm concerned that there is something wrong with the app or something. The app heats up my phone, which has never happened with any other app until i decided to install wattpad. When closing the app, my phone begins to cool off, so i know it is this application. When scrolling it lags and it doesn't respond very well. This can be hazardous. I like wattpad hoping it gets fixed very quite soon...

I love Wattpad. But it’s hard to use with all the bugs. First, people writing on their board and then I get a notification saying it was written on my board. Second, I’ve saved descriptions that I’ve changed for books I’m writing and I WILL press save, but when I go back to the description, it will show the original description. It’s getting annoying and honestly, I just hope it gets fixed and soon. Cause I don’t want to whip out my laptop each time I wanna use Wattpad.

What happened to picking up where you left off in a story? Now when I leave a book and come back, the story picks up at the beginning of a chapter instead of where I left off in the chapter.

@wattpad so recently i got this app because my friends have it so i was making an account right i put my username i use for everything right i didn’t know how to use it so i made another account but i used it to test out the features and whatnot so then i finished all i needed to do but then- as i try to log back into the account that i actually made for posting , i try to enter my email but then it’s saying my email was never registered so then i try it like 60 more times but it still isn’t working so then i come to the conclusion i entered my email wrong then i went to make a third account and i did enter my email correctly but i entered this one username that people won’t recognise me on so yeah now i can’t get back into my main account can you delete my main account it’s momijitea kthnxbai

Forgive my grammar but whatever Wattpad is an amazing thing. It’s allowed me to be more out there with the things I like and has been there for me when I needed a crutch. I’ve been on for about two years and even though there are a few bugs and a few things here and there that are annoying in the end of the day with all the good it brings the small things are worth it. So sure there are a ads and sometimes it glitches about log ins and home pages and crashes those are all fixable things. Above all wattpad creates a safe, fun community for writers and readers to explore and share their opinions.

It’s the best reading app that includes stories that other people wrote about your favorite movies or shows. You can also write your own stories and follow your favorite writers. It’s the best I would totally recommend it to my friends!!

notice just about every review is about how buggy and gross the app has become? its probably because the developers are unbelievably incompetent and dismissive to the issues that their app has. I cannot count how many times i've reported an issue and instead of fixing the issue at the root they tell me to delete the app and redownload it. NOT worth it. You can find plenty of other apps and websites for reading and writing. Take it from someone who has had this app for ten years and is now completely and utterly baffled at how useless the team is.

i love wattpad, i’ve been using it as an outlet and just for plain reading for almost four years now. i love it, yes, but there are so many glitches. it ALWAYS says i’m not logged in when i go to comment or even to add stories to my library. my biggest issue is when i hold my finger on it for a second without moving the screen, it glitches to the bottom of the chapter. can you please fix these, please, please, please?

I really love Wattpad and have been using it for a very long time. But I am getting very annoyed ever since the new update came out. For some reason, I get a notification saying that one of the accounts I follow posted something on MY message board when in reality, they just posted a message on their own message board. I don’t want to know every time someone posts a message and neither does anyone else. I noticed that a lot of people are having this problem. It’s not just me. It’s getting on my nerves. I check my notifications to see if any of the stories I read have updated, not to see if someone posted a message on their account. Fix this. It’s very aggravating. If it weren’t for this problem, I would give 5 stars.

Although great, wattpad had been incredibly slow lately. As i go through my reading lists it will take forever to load and it will lag as I’m swiping through and ill have to exit the app and reopen it every time.

Don’t get me totally wrong !! I absolutely love wattpad it’s my favorite of all time but there are a couple things that bother me. First one is every time I delete books from my library or Archive I refresh and they reload !! Second thing is the message board notifications!! I know you already probably have a bunch of complaints about it but it’s very annoying to say The least. It clouds up my notifications and I can’t find if someone has replied to me or something else :( last the ads ! I love the app and used to read on it all the time but I deleted accidentally and now it won’t let me back in because I forgot my password. I know what you’re thinking, yes I did use the ‘forgot password’ tool but it wouldn’t email me a code. I Googled it and people say to wait. I did and nothing.

I hate it that when I leave the app while I’m in the middle of a chapter and come back it won’t go back to where I ended it will take me back to the beginning of the chapter. And I don’t like it that you can’t review the picture before I start the story. Pleas fix these problems. Thank you.

i've been using and loving wattpad around the time it first came out, you know when it had the black bg and everything was all cool and mysterious looking? yeah. so, i was disappointed when the app updated and it talks about this dumb premium stuff, i don't want it and i think it's s***** to pay for a free fanfiction app??? the ads are also so horrible, the skip ad button appears and when i click it, i still have to watch the rest of the ad and then click which is so stupid!!! the whole point of a skip ad option is to skip the dang ad, not watch the full trailer of some dumb movie. listen wattpad, i love yall but please get over yourself, these ads and premium stuff is so stupid,,,

So there’s this glitch, that when you post on your board, all your followers get the notification as you posted on their board.

Halfway through a really long chapter, when i close the app and open it back it’s on the start of the chapter, i really like the app and if you fix this, then i’ll love it! Thanks!

I really like your a lot. I have been using for years but I have problem that is get very hard to find new book that I haven’t read or just doesn’t catches my eyes. I would like if you in put something that would filter out my home page. Would really appreciate it.

When I tried to reset my password, I entered my username so I could receive an email to rest my password but I never received it. I entered my email address and never received an email to reset my password. I entered both my username and email address twice and I still haven’t received the email. I’ve tried this a couples time and recently these past three days straight! I just want to reset my password. If anyone can do anything about this, please let me know. (No, it’s not connected to Facebook so I cannot log in with Facebook)

I’ve been using this app for years but lately my home screen has been failing to load when I’m connected to the internet and when I try to search for a reading list it won’t pull up any for anything I search for.

The Current Wattpad update is TERRIBLE it has the newest feature where it shows the message board of others and accounts you don’t follow it is TERRIBLE

Wattpad is incredibly good! I’ve managed to find countless stories I like, and I’ve found that writing stories is very easy. Though you may want to work on wattpad on the computer, as I’ve had some trouble when using my laptop to write wattpad stories, but that might just be me being stupid, but still, work on it.

I love this app, because you can read so many stories that people wrote and its easier to write in here. BUT, the app keeps getting frozen and I have to keep logging back in. There are times, when I cant even see the recommend stories... Where the stories are ranked.... When I even try to comment it tells me to keep log back in. It gets annoyed. Please fix it. Thank you

I’ve been on Wattpad 3 years and never have I had a problem with it. First it’s the ads that come one every chapter, then it’s where I skip a chapter to go to a new one and when I slide up it brings me to Chapter 1. Please fix this it’s really annoying

Whenever i try to sign into my account on the app it says that there could be an error in the servers but this has been happening for the past two days! Not even the website works for me and i have no idea why, please fix it soon!

I miss the old wattpad, where there were now Ads at all. And if maybe you could bring back how we could change the color of the reading text! Please! And if we could also bring back to when we can change the color of our reading background as well!!

Honestly I spend most of my time on here and it lets me read all of my favorite fanfics. Mostly got this app to read K-POP fanfics.

I love the app and other than this slight problem I have no other complaints. When I try adding pictures to a chapter they won’t load :( I’ve tied deleting and reinstalling the app but it’s still the same. Is it a problem with my account?

The bookmarking is still off, every time I come back to a certain story it’s never in the same spot as before. It’ll be the same chapter but it always starts from the beginning when I didn’t leave off there. Hopefully this bug can get fixed, it throws me off on my reading and is kind of annoying to always have to find my exact place again.

I love Wattpad but it’s annoying to see that I have 90 notifications that says someone writes on my message board and has not I’m seeing all of their messages and some of them are a little inappropriate so I would like the glitch you call an update to be fixed because I can’t see if the stories I have in my library have updated without going through fifity-level notifications messages from other peoples message board Ik I can’t spell so if I spelled some words wrong forgive me

ive been using this app for years and have been extremely satisfied. but now, it is almost unbearable with 15 second ads playing after every other chapter. it is so annoying.

Wattpad is a awesome app and forum and I’ve been using the app on my iPad for three+ years. For the past five months I’ve been noticing a lot of freezing within five minutes of me logging into the app. And every once and awhile a book I deleted out of my private library two years ago will appear as if I added it back into my library.

So I’m not sure if it’s because my phone is whacky or because the app was updated but every time I open the app up, it doesn’t leave where I left off the last time I read. So every time it would take me to the beginning of the chapter and I legit have to scroll down to where I left off and some of these chapters are long af so it takes forever and it’s so inconvenient. PLEASE FIX IT.

Since they did they new update everything had been going downhill. Before I had the option to not see what every writer that I follow wrote on their message board and now I’m getting spammed with messages. It doesn’t matter what I put my settings as b/c it still does it. Also the app is no longer updating my last reading position no matter how much it syncs. I am really starting to believe that Wattpad app owners care more about the commercial ads that they are generating, which they don’t pay the writers for, than the actual people that write and read the stories on their platform. It’s really sad b/c a lot of people are leaving and hopefully are taking their fan base with them.

Lately when i ready my books, it does not load all the way to the end in. it will say that i am half way through the book when in reality i am done. Also, when people right on their message boards, its says they wrote on mine. Please fix this

Wattpad has been having problems with the comments saying that this user is not logged in when CLEARLY im logged in. But then i log out and it says that home cant be loaded and then i still can’t comment. Also it glitches and crashes for no reason which is very weird. Work on on this please. I love this app so much but it’s been so weird this week.

I would like to admit I love this app; however it says that I’m not logged in when I try to comment. I have tried everything I could think of to remedy it but it wouldn’t work. I tried logging out and logging in and logging out but that didn't work. I also tried deleting the app and reinstalling it but that didn’t seem to work. Can you please fix this?

so everything was alright but until when i commented something it said ‘User not logged in’ I logged out and logged back in since that is usual. But when I got back on it still said the same thing. I reseted my phone and it still said the same thing. I even deleted wattpad and redownloaded it but it STILL SAYS THE SAME THING DJFNKF idk what to do anymore

I just would like to say I agree with the review my sprinkle stitch so Wattpad knows this is happening to more then just one person. All the stuff they listed has happened to me too.

So it’s the same as SparkleStitch. I can’t make any comments because it says I’m “Not logged in” When I obviously am. I’ve had this problem for a long time but I could log out then back in and everything would be fine. Since the recent update It doesn't matter how many times I log out then back in, it STILL says I’m not logged in. Also, It keeps saying all the people I follow wrote something on my Message bored, when really they didn’t and it’s really (And I mean REALLY) clogging up my notifications!! Isn’t there a way to like.. have the message bored stuff have it’s OWN FILE of notifications?? I love this app. It is SO SO SO SO SO worthy of a 5 star and I will gladly change my rating once this is fixed.

PLEASE please fix the message board notifications. It is ridiculous that I’m getting notified for messages that I have nothing to do with.

So I noticed that after I updated my wattpad...it’s saying “failed to load home; (with the) retry option. So I do retry...but it still won’t load. HELP !!!!!!!!!!!

This is THE best app for writing fanfics and other stories that I’ve ever come across! It could have minor bug fixes, and maybe more backgrounds instead just f only black, white, and tan-ish, I guess. Other than that, PERFECT!!!

emojis don’t work in anything other than your writing piece. for example, private messages and profile description. also when you comment it says you’re not logged in. please fix that as well. this is a personal pet peeve, but after reading a book the green/blue marker under the book isn’t full even if ive read up until the most recent chapter.

Leaving the movie theatre, Wattpad and I decided to post the same story in the update notes over and over again instead of telling our users what we were actually updating. It was the stupidest decision we had ever made. Suddenly in my right pocket, a loud vibrating...

As the slightly paranoid and bookworm I am, I can’t help but to love Wattpad. I can write my stories, I can learn from others by reading their books, and I never have to really worry about slipping up. All people here are very familiar with typos!

I use Wattpad almost everyday. This app is actually amazing for me since I like to write stories. Sometimes, I write drafts so I can collect ideas for an even bigger book. Wattpad can definitely Let you be as creative as you want with stories. For some reason, I’ve been obsessed with joke books or horror stories. But today, I looked at a creepy riddles book, and started really enjoying it! When I first joined Wattpad, I wasn’t sure if I would find any stories I liked. But now, I have like, 24 stories in my library. There is always a book for everyone on Wattpad. If you like text chat stories, they have them. If you want riddles or jokes, they have them! If you want romance or horror, they have them! Another thing I like about this app, is the Watty awards. I find it amazing that different people and their books can win awards! I recently just missed out on a watty award, because I was too late, but there is one every year! And, you can submit any story and multiple stories as well! I really recommended Wattpad for people who become bored very easily, like me. When you have free time Wattpad can definitely be something you use!

The notifications on the message board is just not it chief

Hey Wattpad. I’ve been having Wattpad for a few years, and I love it. It helps with endless books, and helps me share my stories I’ve written over the years to others. It helps me interact, and find what I can make better in my stories. Readers are very supportive, and I just love the app.

This app is one of the most amazing apps I’ve ever had. It Not only gives aspiring writers a chance to get their chance to get noticed, but it gives individuals the chance to go into another world.

This update is not very good. Believe me, I love this app, but after the update things are going bad. I can’t even see my stories when I click on the comments on my notification section. I let it sit there for 5 min, nothing. It just keeps ‘loading’. Wattpad used to be my favorite app, but not it’s not getting used very often. I can’t reply to the people who comment, and I can’t load any of my stories. Edit: Thank you!

I have been using Wattpad since middle school I love this app and have found tons of amazing book. And have even uploaded some of my short story ideas on this app but recently. I have noticed with that with more of the recent updates phone has started to overheat. Now I thought it was my old phone because the screen was broken and was 3 years old I got a brand new phone last month and am having the same issue with the app causing my phone to over heat when the app is in use. If I could get some feedback as to why this might be happening let me know thank you for taking the time too read this have a nice day.

Well i just updated Wattpad okay.. so when I opened it .. it says to me “ Failed to load Home” whyyyyy is that!? It’s supposed to be better not worse! I wish I didn’t update it :((

I’ve been using Wattpad for the past 5 years, and I’m in love with the app but recently I’ve been getting a lot of updates on people writing on their own message boards but no story updates what so ever. When I try to open the app, my ‘Home’ screen says ‘Failed to Load Home’ and it’s been annoying me. I don’t know what happened if it’s part of the update or if it’s a glitch, I tried uninstalling and installing the app over and over but nothing seems to work that my only option now is to create a new account and not follow anyone and I don’t want to do that bc I’ve had the same account since when I started. Please fix it, thank you.

I love this app, it fuels my soul and gives me life but uh, I don’t need a notification every single time someone writes on their board. I absolutely hate this. Please change it.

the recent update of showing what post in your newsfeed is horrible. i hate waking up to nearly 600 notifs of people i follow. a bunch of my friends were sick of it and moved to instagram.

This app used to be very nice and organized, not overwhelming. But recently they added a feature that had ads in between almost every chapter and that wasn't all that bad but now they added a feature so that when people post on their message boards it also pops up on the story update screen instead of just the news feed page. its literally so annoying and overwhelming. plus peoples accounts are getting deleted. if they don't fix these problems many people including me will not continue to use this app.

Wattpad was a good tool for writers out there until a new update took the whole point of the app away and made it where people spam others with Message Board Newsfeed message notifications. Not only that but there are also countless glitches on the app that makes it frustrating sometimes.

So since the newest update, I’m constantly receiving everyone’s messages from their message boards when I haven’t been at all tagged but it says that I’ve been mentioned in my notifications. It would be great if this could be fixed ASAP. Also, please fix the problem where it says I can’t comment because I’m not logged in when obviously I am.

i actually love the message board. it helps us interact more so. thanks for that! BUT i’m suggesting that there should be an option where we can hide whatever message we’re posting to certain people and/or we can choose whose messages pop up in our notifications because if it’s all the people i’m following, it’s just too much.

I love Wattpad, (almost) everything about it except this one new feature. Like many others, I find it very annoying that whenever anyone you follow posts on their message boards it’s now in your notifications saying “soandso wrote on your message board”. There’s multiple reasons why I thank this is a terrible new feature and idea. First of all, the most obvious- it clutters up the notifications. I am following 75 accounts and that’s actually pretty low compared to other accounts, yet I still get about 45 notifications every three hours- and only about two ACTUALLY apply to me. I’ve been on Wattpad for about four years and run a pretty successful graphic shop (it’s been ranking #1 and #2 in cover maker and cover requests) and it’s really important to me that I can see all my notifications because of requests of updates in peoples requests as well as if someone’s seen their orders. I’ve seen many other people post about how much they hate this new feature, after a while it gets on everyone’s nerves. My second point is that... it’s a lie?? Before this feature, when you got a notification that said “soandso wrote on your message board” it meant that they actually wrote on your message board. Funny lol. So when I first went on Wattpad and saw my notifications after this update, I was so shocked to see SO MANY people writing on my message board I was like “woah what did I do??” Haha. But it actually was everyone writing on their OWN message boards, so I don’t understand even the set up of the notification. And I guess it wouldn’t be that big of a problem, except now when someone DOES write on your message board, will you even know? It defeats the whole purpose notifications in my opinion. I was told I can change this feature in settings, but after I did it did not change. I’m worried that it may have actually made it so I won’t have notifications of when people DO write on MY message board, so might just even change it back. It’s annoying, unreasonable, and misleading and I’d love Wattpad so much more if this wasn’t a feature. I just about NEVER write reviews, especially kind of bad ones, but I like many other wattpaders hate this feature so much and I would really appreciate if it was removed or fixed some way. Thank you
