I miss the feel of paper comics/books, but the app does a decent enough job. Solid 7/10 rating for ease of use/viewing quality, can't think of anything they could do to improve it.

Installed 3.10 update for Marvel, DC, Vertigo and Image apps, but only Marvel and DC apps have 12.9 support. Vertigo and Image resolution still look the same

In-app purchases were disabled about a week ago, with the support account on twitter (@cmxlgy_support) giving only ambiguous, non-specific explanations to the ensuing chorus of complaints. They now expect you to first make a separate account within a web browser in order to provide a cc number to a third-party vendor (Comixology), then to go into the Vertigo app to try to link your two accounts, and then try to download the purchase. A seamless process ruined.

If your a fan of Batman, Green Lantern, the Flash and other great DC Comics characters, then you will love this app. Vertigo is great, period.

I'm fairly new to comics. I read Marvel when I was younger but lost interest in my teens. I decided to pick them back up after a friend recommended Vertigo since it was a more mature branch of DC. His first recommendation? Y: The Last Man. What a great book. There is a downside though. All the beautiful art and the brilliant guided reading is ruined buy not supporting Retina displays on iPad. Anybody who was alive back in 2010 saw that this type of display would eventually be on iPad. Those are the people who had their apps ready long before it debuted. The comics are great. The display support; not so much.

App has mind crushing glitches

I enjoy being able to purchase comic books from the store, but the app has some glitches that are so frustrating I never want to use the app again. First, I absolutely love the feature that allows you to read the comic from panel to panel instead of page to page. This really engages me in a way I never thought possible; now everything on the page is a surprise and I enjoy the big artwork around the panels more when I see them after reading all the panels. This really adds artistic flare and dynamic ambiance. Though, it is imperative that they add a button or other obvious and quick way to turn the feature on and off. If they do have such a feature, I have not seen it due to another issue(read below). However, this is the only feature I like about the app and while it's a big one, the glitches really break this app. When I tried downloading multiple comics at once, the app would crash or simply download the first comic and then keep the others in queue. Restarting the download wouldn't work or simply stopping the download then trying to download another comic. I contacted customer service(whose response was quick and courteous) and they were able to help after some troubleshooting. Another issue is even more detrimental. I have no freaking idea how to close the mother@&@"ing comic! Once I'm done reading and want to read another comic or simply want to change the settings I can't! I tap all over the screen and nothing happens. After tapping randomly a dozen or so times I may get the controls to show up, but if I'm tapping too fast it just disappears again>.<. Even closing the app doesn't work because when I reopen it just goes right back to the comic. They need to fix these glitches before I will ever recommend this app to anyone.
