The Trip Little Critter Reading Adventure App Reviews

My kids really enjoyed this App. Both of them had fun finding the hidden flash cards and the various things to put in Little Critter's backpack to advance the gameplay. We all played as a family and my kids had a great time reading along and interacting with the various screens.

I love the voices in this app...absolutely spot-on!

It has mini games and the other apps.

What a cute little app! This book/game has kept my daughter entertained in the car. She liked the interactive story so much that we upgraded to get more access to other games. It's fun and educational. Some of the games are too old for her because they require reading comprehension, but that's okay because this app can grow with her. She never tires of listening to the story about little critters trip and even though they are above her level, she does try to do some of the more advanced games. Because she is 3, I had to show her how to work the app.... but once she saw how you move from page to page and click on the little blinking buttons on each page to start interactive features in the story, she was off and running.

I'm amazed! This app actually, literally engaged my 5 year old to sit through and play from the start to finish! Wow!

The graphics are wonderful and the story kept my niece engaged! Worth the purchase!

This is the best educational app I have seen for young kids! Interactive reading adventure with great animation,and filled with games to keep kids happily occupied!

It's like a mini-movie inside a book, there are so many fun animation sequences included. These were totally unexpected when I made my purchase and I am pleasantly surprised. My daughter and I have a ball playing with this. It's also has a great educational component. Lots of fun and very well done. It's a beautiful fun app. Highly recommend.

There is no sound.. When they are talking, there is nothing coming out but the lips are moving! Very disappointing

Filled with great educational games for lots of learning fun! My grandson loved the story and having the ability to choose where to go on the map and what to collect along the way to solve simple problems. Love the many games that teach reading, counting, spelling, sequencing and other skills. Great to enjoy with your child or to give to your child to play alone! Lots of humorous characters kept my grandson engaged and laughing! Highly recommend this app!

I would certainly recommend this app without hesitation to all parents and grandparents looking for an entertaining, educational, interactive story for their little ones. It is easy to follow, read and interact with, simple but warm, showing the adventure of a very cute family. The children will love the characters and have tons of fun figuring out all the hidden lessons and surprises in each and every page. The price is reasonable for the book and also for the additional Game Pak, for less than $8.00 you will have your children, reading, giggling, playing detective and eager to go to the next page again and again. Keep these stories coming, they are fantastic! Congrats to everyone involved in creating and bringing them to life with very creative and talented voices.

Does a great job with concepts, and doesn't waste time with senseless clicking. Each action and step are meaningful.

I love Little Critter, and the game mode of this app is a wonderful extension of this story. I wish the reading mode had the ability to highlight each word separately, and label items in the scenes when you touch them, but I would buy this app again for the game mode in it. It is lovely to see the characters interact with each other-the conversations are great ways to jump start learning as they encourage curiosity about the objects and events in each scene. At the beginning the characters pack up the car for their trip to the lake with help from the child. As the child progresses through the app he/she will be asked to use some of these items in the game. There are visual and verbal cues that remind the child where to look - the app talks about needing an apple to get the horse off the road for example- if the child doesn't look for it in the backpack, the app will prompt him or her to do so.

Love this app! My 2 1/2 year-old was immediately engaged in the interactive scenes. Although he could navigate by himself after a brief learning period, I did have to help him with some of the games that were beyond him, conceptually. Several of the games were just right for him. This makes me think the app would be great for slightly older kids too. There are little colored dots that periodically appear on each scene indicating where kids can touch to makes things happen. The dots were either too small or appeared too briefly for my little one to benefit. Wish they stayed visible on the scene until after you access them. Would love to find more apps like this!
