Great Colorado mystery story from an area of the state I known well.

A friend recommended this book to me and I finished it in 3 days! I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT. Not only is it well written, romantic, with a few “hold your breath” moments..there is a character in this book for everyone to relate to and fall in love with. I wasn’t too partial to the narrator for the first chapter or so but once the book began to speed up her voice grew on me. This is a perfect example of life long friendship, the trials people face even behind closed doors and real true love. 100% recommend!

Now I can listen to in the car and at work to books I’ve had on my to read list. I have not found the library lacking in choices like other audiobook subscriptions.

How does this app have 5 stars? It’s user interface tries it’s best to PREVENT you from listening to your audio book, and instead uses its screen space to suggest you buy other books and share what you’re listening to with friends. Why can’t you just let me play my books that I’ve paid for?

Honestly, I’ve never written a review before. Not a single one BUT this book.... this Author.... she was so REAL! I felt like she was sitting in my living room sharing her life story to ME all the way to the Pentecostal upbringing. She challenged me! I feel like most women will be able to relate with her in one way or another! Scared to read another book after that one!

This book was incredible!

I could not wait for the book to arrive by mail, so I bought it on Audible. Hearing Trevor narrate his own book made me feel more connected to the story, almost like having a conversation with a friend and his stories flow together seamlessly. He paints a picture with his words and the emotion in his voice brings it to life.

I recently separated and am back to single parent life. Even though I know with every fiber of my being my daughter and I are in a better place, I’m still struggling with why couldn’t I make this work? Why can’t I be loved? This book has given me a way to look at my situation, my life and have a different perspective. It’s given me hope and insight to start moving forward.

I could not stop listening to this Book. I love that the author reads her story because you can feel the authenticity and experience behind the words. This book gives you tools, it prompts you to ask thoughtful questions and face some of your own fears and things that may be holding you back. It’s a beautiful story, filled with honesty, but also ignites the willingness to grow and be challenged to take responsibility and practice focusing on more of what You want. When you recognize the opportunity for influence you have over your own destiny, it’s not only in powering, it’s exciting to think of all the possibilities.

I enjoyed the Rooster Bar on audible. I had read about half the novel on cruise but not finished it. I’m from the DC area and I found the details to be believable even if they weren’t accurate.

Overall it is a great app, but the only thing that needs to be added is the ability to purchase new books from the app. The Android version has this feature, and would be nice to have on the iOS version as well.

This app crashes all the time. Sometimes my books won’t play for no reason so then I have to delete them and re-download it. I have to hit the play button multiple times before the book actually plays. And it’s dumb that there’s no Apple Watch app.

Personally, I was looking for more information then provided here but this is good as a starting point for someone who hasn’t begun any research. Most of the information i found here I previously learned in podcast, fb groups, bigger pockets and YouTube. Nevertheless it is motivational and has a few good nuggets.

The app is easy to use, and looks good. No major issues or glitches that I’ve experienced. My one hang up is whhhhyyyy can I not make purchases in the app?

Wish you could make a purchases directly on the app

The app works fine. The only real complaint I have is that you can’t buy any books through the app. You have to go through the Amazon app, hit the “I want this book button” then check your email, agree to the 30 day trial of the subscription, then and only then can you buy books. I don’t think I will use this enough to warrant paying a subscription. I would prefer to just be able to buy the books when I feel like doing so. At this time the sub is $15 in my opinion. Each month it gives you 1 book and 30% anything you buy. I’m sure that is worth it for most people.

This audio was the best thing my pastor could ever recommend for my husband it was a blessing in our life. Thank you for all the incredible stories how they impact and brought understanding to this horrible addiction that men live with I know from experience how we think there is no way out but this audio has proven to be the answer for the weak that you can get through this with a commitment to change your ways and ask God to help with your decision. What a great way to sit by a pool and relax or spend time when driving or simply curling up with on a rainy day. Seams to work well nearly all the time.

Great selection of books But was very disappointed that I could NOT purchase books on the app had to log in on the web page which add an extra step ! Also once I purchased the book on the web page it does not automatically add the book on the app so I have to call customer service again to figure this out ! I am on my second call in 2 days.

About community, appreciation of music with a cast of odd characters who deserved my compassion. And I found here a wonderful line to quote: “The way to heaven is not through the clouds, it’s in the joy with which you look at the world despite your pain and sorrow.”

While it doesn’t look much different the newest update is causing me issues where it won’t show any of my purchases and thinks there is nothing in my library. I have tried deleting and reinstalling the app, restarting my phone, signing in and out and changing my filter setting all to no avail. Please fix! It was a 5 star experience before

I love audible. Been with for 4 or 5 years. I am really fickle and if I don’t like it I return it and I have returned So many books! I never take advantage but am not afraid to return as many books as I need to and I never return books I enjoy. They’re the best.

The story content was well written kept my attention. I played the audio version while driving and helped make time endless.

App is awesome but it costs a lot per month and you only receive one credit for one book. Also I have to visit the website if I want to listen/download a new book. Last thing I notice was the review in the app seems a to be a little different from the reviews in the website.

I am now 66. I first read The Robe when I was 15 years old. I was not much of a Christian before reading the book and it took me a number of years after reading The Robe to become a Christian. But it did inspire me to read the New Testament and to begin the process of looking around for a church that I felt at home with. I just completed listening to the book. I loved it!!

Audible has given me a chance to enjoy what I love most again. When I was young I got a concussion, that long story short, has given me lifelong chronic migraines. I couldn’t be in school, or play any of the sports I used to, or even go out with friends much, but most of all, I couldn’t read without getting skull-splitting pain in my head. This app, has given me a chance to be a bookworm again, without the migraine for weeks- with a library bigger than any I’ve seen before. Thank you audible!

I LOVE Audible! It’s great to be able to enjoy a book and still be able to get things I need to do done. Sometimes there’s just not time to sit & read. Thank Goodness they often offer the Audible version for an insanely low price along with the low cost of the book through Bookbub.com on Amazon. One suggestion/request: There needs to be several choices for joining Audible, not just 1 price for 1 book. I go through a book about every 2-3 days! Maybe 5 books for so much or Unlimited for so much. As it is, I only get the Audible version when it’s affordable along with the Bookbub purchase and I Really wish I could listen to a lot more of my books. So far the voice talent has been fantastic!

After listening to this audio book I am so excited to apply these closing techniques. I feel as if I have been given keys to a goldmine!

Why am I paying $14.95 a month for an app where I can’t even purchase content? Anytime I want to get a new book, I have to mess around on a desktop computer (or my smartphone browser) to get anything. Then, amazon tells you one price while audible tells you another. Nothing is clear cut or easy to figure out. The recommendations don’t refresh, so you only see about 8 titles recommended for you. For an app subscription this pricey, it should be functional and flawless. And yet, I feel duped. I will be cancelling this month. PSA: there is a great app called Overdrive that links with your participating local library. They have ebooks and audiobooks, all free with your library card. The app works just as well as Audible, with all of the great playback features you’d want. Definitely look into that if audiobooks are your thing. And it’s FREE.

The app keeps crashing. If you pause the player your lucky if the app is still open when you press play to listen again. Previous versions worked great kinda sad since the content is great.

It was everything I expected and I didn’t want it to end

The book told a story and also addressed situations that could happen and how to easily allow yourself to explore another option. This has helped me think differently about circumstances that occur in my life.

I love using the Audible app when I am traveling for business or on vacation. or just running around town. However, it is very problematic that I cannot download books from the App and I have to do those on my computer online. Or on Amazon. It really is defeats the whole purpose. So, I have to go to the Apple app and download the book that I want.

I’m a learning English people and I love read books, but sometimes is difficult read in correct time (different grammar rule) ... and help me a lot to understand the histories in the book!

I think it’s so great to be listening to a story while doing things

My husband and friends have used Audible for awhile now. I shunned it because I love the smell of a good book, and turning pages. When I had a pile of books on my nightstand and in my purse with intentions to read, and they weren’t read after a year, I decided to try this. I’ve already listened to 2 books in a week just by switching between Audible and my music playlist.

We had a great time listening to this story, it kept us engaged and guessing the next twist.

Good suggestions for overcoming past situations in life. Teaches living in the now rather than wasting time complaining about the past. Good book.

This compilation of stories is a wonderful addition to the Star Wars universe. Not only does it give the reader a complete different outlook on a New Hope, but shows the true heart of what Star Wars is. There are many beautiful moments full wonder, laughs, shocks, and tears. This is the book you are looking for! Not to mention the narrators do a fantastic job.👍🎟

I love audible. I have used it for around 10 years. It has helped me get through books that I just have not been able to finish reading. It is also great for my subway commutes in the morning and evening as well as long car trips. BUT, the fact that I have to go to a website to use my credits then download the books in the app is just inexcusable in 2018. I can see no reason why I can’t use credits and purchase books in the app. This is a glaring omission and incredibly frustrating. This is why I can only give your app 3 stars. Oh and also maybe update “This is Audible.” It sounds like it was recorded over a telephone in 1958.

This sheds a new light, clarifies so many topics and explains so many issues.

I purchased a book by Thomas Sowell hard copy and was curious about getting the audiobook version. The purchase was through amazon, but the audio book does not show up. I try to use the market app to purchase it. Purchasing is not offered as an option... only “free with prime”. I want to listen to this and you won’t sell it to me because your tangled weird apparatus of apps keeps passing me around. Can I already listen to it because I bought it? Should I buy it again? Nobody knows and I can’t listen to it!

App quits 2 seconds after opening. Too bad.

Books are way overpriced. There should be a rental option for a small price. I don’t need to own all these audio book. Monthly fee is too expensive and not worth what you get for it.

This app is bad to say the least. No book titles? Wow and you are gonna charge 14.95 a month? A free month but it won’t even let me access a book it just keeps saying download the app. Well I have downloaded the app, but the link to the book I want to hear via email, just keeps taking me back “download the app” it can’t seem to detect I HAVE the app already. Too much trouble. Get the stuff streamlined before you charge an exorbitant amount of money for an app.

I needed to read a book for homework I forgot the book but I remembered it’s name I came to this app to see if I could find it. I clicked the search button but it told me to sign in. I had to sign in my amazon account but I don’t have one so this made it a problem.

Overall, the app works extremely well. I’ve never had any issues with it freezing or having any bugs. The app even has some useful features such as the bookmark option and being able to skip ahead or back 15 seconds. However, my biggest issue with this app is being unable to purchase an audio book through the app! Shouldn’t this be a key feature for an audiobook app. It’s inconvenient for the user to have to go to another app/screen to purchase content. I just wish they’d change that one minor detail. Haha, honestly, first world problems, I know. As far as apps go, this is one of the most well designed ones I’ve used. And I w never run into a bug which is saying a lot since I used to work in mobile apps. But you can’t be having an app for audio books which doesn’t let you purchase content, come on now.

Vivi Holt always has a unique twist to her sweet stories and in this book the conflict is one of differing stations in life between the man, Harry Brown, a commoner with a penchant for gambling and Lady Charlotte Beaufort who is desperately running from an unwanted engagement to a man she doesn’t love. Charlotte meets Harry and his sister Camellia the night she flees her engagement party. Born to nobility she is ill prepared to travel alone so is thrilled when asked to accompany the brother and sister on their journeys from England to New York and later to Cutter Creek Montana.

I recommend this book for anyone going into a relationship of any caliber, anyone in a relationship (romantic or otherwise) and anyone who feels they are struggling with another individual in their current situation. Excellent strategies for ALL.

I love audiobooks, and use the audible app almost every day, but when one wants to get a new title, it cannot be purchased from the app, for no logical reason. One has to go on the web, log into audible.com, make the purchase, then go back to the app to listen. A minor, but completely unnecessary hassle for what should be a simple task.

Absolutely love this book. This is my first book by this author and I really enjoyed her writing style. The narrators fit perfect for every part.

This new update is a mess of a UI/UX issue. I never fat finger any apps but this one is beyond excusable. The close button triggers the button next to it. The ellipsis plays vs prompting a sub menu. Oh and the Apple Watch support... extremely grateful to see the device inclusion but fix the pairing and subsequent error pop-up spam. Also fix the watch screen that keeps prompting instructions when I’m listening to my iPhone and just want to check the time or other complications. No, I don’t want to sync a new book yet. Or the five times later.

The Audible app is lacking this most basic element of functionality. Instead of purchasing books in the app, users are forced to do it on the website, which is an extraordinarily poor experience on mobile devices. I’ll be sticking to the Audiobooks app in the future, which allows me to make purchases within the app.

All the app will do is display the intro guide. Every time I close it, it reopens immediately.

Make it a set monthly price like Apple Music. Please

Audible wouldn’t stop prompting me to write a review no matter what I did. So they should stop asking.

While the service is wonderful, the app itself will play your audiobooks, but that’s really the only thing it can do. Strangely, there’s no option to actually purchase new audiobooks, or even view your wish list, from the app. It also has some annoying technical issues. If you leave it paused for too long and then un-pause it, it will play briefly and then stop again and freak out. The Apple Watch app is also pathetic, since you can’t use it unless you sync books to your Apple Watch (something that isn’t necessary for any other app), and the syncing functionality also doesn’t work. It also doesn’t have any shortcuts integration, either for Siri or for the app itself, which isn’t great. All of that said, this app is your only option for audible, as far as I can tell.

Dang nab! This was the best book I’ve ever listened to! Never have I heard such a fabulous audio production!! I laid my iPhone X on my chest as I listened in bed to listen to Emma without EarPods. I was immediately dumbfounded by the absolutely perfect surround sound! There I was right in the middle of the story. I could hear the blacksmith pounding his anvil down the street. I could hear the clock ticking in the corner of the room. I could hear the crackle of the fire in the hearth. AND to have Emma Thompson as narrator was exciting. I’m still frustrated by a persistent reminder that I can load a book on my Apple Watch, but I use the app every day, and overall glad to gave it. The Now Playing app which I loved on the watch, gets overcome by the new feature reminder, which will not Close.

This book was recommended by a friend. I wanted to try audible and was greatly impressed by the book and liked listening to it. I think it might be difficult to find another one like it, but I will give it a try. It left me smiling and sad at the same time. I think I enjoy listening rather than reading. Joanne McCarty

Trevor is our hot cowboy with more baggage than he should carry...and then come Natalie with her son. This book is my favorite on the series and John Lane does a great job especially with Trevor’s voice! It will melt you.

Just get it!! More life lessons than you could ever pay for!

Cannot get audiobooks to sync to watch. I’ve put both Apple Watch and iPhone on chargers for the process but still get error that audio book can’t sync. On iPhone X with latest iOS release and Apple Watch Series 4 with latest WatchOS release. iPhone app is great though. Just wish I could stream on Watch with cell but might be limitation implemented from Apple so next best thing is sync but can’t do that with the error.

Audible is absolutely the best ever. I love it, I depend on it, and I am growing from it. I read more books than ever before in my entire life. It is a very powerful tool in my continuing education. Thank you for giving us Audible. God bless you and Jesus loves you.

Not sure why audible doesn’t have a purchase feature... or if it is supposed to be connected with Amazon why I cannot easily purchase from there either. Once I remember how to exactly jump through the hoops of purchasing and downloading, I know I’m going to enjoy the fruits of my labor. I just hope it takes me less than an hour to figure it out.

Although I like to read when I have time, I enjoy the the convenience of audible at work or at night in bed with headphones.

It turns out that Nora and I are the same age and I think in many ways we lived in the same life. I am a man living in Long Beach California and she is a well-known writer of great movies and stories, like when Harry Met Sally, which has always been one of my favorites. Her marriage and divorce parallels some of what happened to me too. So this story spoke to me. It was almost like it was written just for me. I really enjoyed it and for the first time in a long time, listened from start to end in one sitting. I’m probably going to turn around and listen to it again.

Hilarious! While the Africa trip only takes up roughly the first half, it was fun to hear the remainder of linked stories and realize the chaos is truly a daily occurrence.

I travel a lot every day. It is generally boring. But for the last few years, driving has taken on a new perspective. I read Audible books and am much more rested at the end of each day. My only problem now, is what do I read next. Audible just has TOO MANY CHOICES!

Interesting story

Great book!

Based on the authors advice, I ended up looking for ways to generate more income, and how to diversify my retirement investments. One month after reading this book, I increased my monthly income by getting a higher paying job and getting a roommate. I only gave it 4 stars because he does spoke about religion, and I wanted a financial book, not anything to do with religion.

I absolutely loved this book!! I laughed! I cried! Oh how I cried!! Amazing!

With iOS 12 and WatchOS 5, the Apple Watch will now show a notification dialogue explaining that one can transfer a book the watch. This notification dialog stays opened even if one hits “Close” and covers the Audible controls that have previously allowed one to control the book playback on the phone from the watch. Numerous attempts to transfer a book from the Phone to the new Apple Watch 4th GEN failed. Definitely needs a bit more work as an app.

It’s been working fine until recently, I am unable to hit play on an audiobook. Any help is greatly appreciated! I found the That turning the phone on and off fixes this

I’ve only purchased a few titles so far, but enjoy the app and find it easy to use. Amazon Alexa integration is particularly nice - even understanding commands like “back up 2 minutes” if you want to re-listen to a passage. It’s almost too simple in Apple CarPlay however: limited options to skip ahead or reverse except in 30-second intervals. Have also found app to be inconsistent in capturing last stopping point and being able to resume on another device. This is where more options to skip ahead or reverse would be handy.

But the perspective these three beautiful teachers bring together create a teaching that makes it so much easier to understand and realize what happens within each and everyone one of us. If you are on your healing path, please read or listen this book, it will help you see your woundings, your current unwanted behaviors, and your blocks and give you perspective on the root of where they come from and how to navigate your way to a place of light, peace, and joy.....really a place of wholeness.

I have had hoopla for a while and LOVED it. Five stars until.... about 6 or 7 books ago, I noticed the speed of the narrators must be altered. All of a sudden, every book I’m listening too is read faster than the average human can speak. It’s disconcerting and I hope it gets adjusted. An alternative would be to let the listener have to option of choosing regular speed or extra fast speed. Please, please look into this, Hoopla!

This is driving me absolutely crazy. I love audiobooks. I listen to them constantly. But I’m forking tired of whatever y’all did in recent “updates” that is causing a ridiculous time lag between pushing Play and the audiobook actually playing. FIX THIS. TELL YOUR PRODUCT OWNER THIS IS TOP-FORKING PRIORITY. Everyone in UX knows that slow loading times and time lag between action and response is one of the top issues that affects user experience. FIX THIS IN YOUR APP. I believe in you. I know your developers can do this. Let them fix the lag and stop being s***** about priorities. FIX THE LAG!!! Holy fork nuts. I left a kinder review months ago but I’m sick of this. Fix it. Just do the right thing. For your user’s sake PLEASE!!!!!

...but I don’t “like it-like it”. I love the service, moderate subscription fee, wide selection of titles and all that, but I have a lot of devices. I won’t count the number of times I’ve had to either backtrack or sync myself up to the correct place in the narrative while in the middle of a book. It would be better if the interface with your devices was more accurate, preventing the minor hassle of having to find your place whenever a new device was selected to use the app.

The last chapter was the most impactful. I’ve run a business for 25 years and was looking forward to retiring soon. More lacking in purpose than ready to retire. Now, with a modified mission, I think may stay with it for another 15 or so and use the business to Impact meaningful change.

I would give this 5 stars if I could access the store and buy books in the app but since I can’t get 3 stars

Love to hear books while I am driving. I have an hour each way and I stay awake and engaged. I would prefer an easier way to purchase the books.

I could relate to pretty much every word in this book. I absolutely loved it.

The app is glitchy and the navigation could be more intuitive. I’ve repeatedly lost my place in a streaming book and often the book disappears from my recents. Getting to the list of channels is also annoying as you need to scroll through the suggestions first. I’m not impressed enough to pay the $15 a month. Oh, and she can’t I buy a book through the app? Weird.

History is probably the most difficult to write well. Not only that it provides ominous obstacles in honest research and study but it is rarely written in a way that engages the mind in a thrilling and emotional manner. This book is an overwhelming success in every one of these characteristics and more.

The way that Nguyen can turn a phrase is captivating. This novel is part poetry, part political manifesto with the remainder historic spy intrique. I recommend it to anyone who wants to and can hear “the other side of the story” about Vietnam. While the writing and story are captivating it became quite slow in the second half. Thus why I rated it 4 stars.

I use Audible every single day. It helps me fall asleep with a reread of my favorite books (the sleep timer is key), and it makes travel so enjoyable when I take a long drive or an airplane ride. I subscribe monthly for the discount, and I love that it encourages me to keep on listening/reading. I have a few chronic health problems, including daily migraine, and so often find it difficult to physically read a book. I also knit a lot, so I can read and knit at the same time! It’s like magic! I can also garden and read, clean and read, and even at times, work and read! I find some of the performances so good that it actually improves my reading experience. Thanks Audible/Amazon for helping me through this terrible time of becoming disabled and allowing me to continue to read and learn.... I’m a loyal Apple customer, but when my iBooks (which were insanely expensive) started disappearing and replaced by “newer” versions of books that were written 30 years ago, I was beyond furious. They actually tried to blame someone else and said they had no control over what the “owners” of the books were doing. Beyond being an insanely s***** explanation, they also were unwilling to help me solve the problem. I realized then and there that I wouldn’t spend another penny with them, and the customer service people basically agreed by saying that at any given time, all my books could disappear. I have become partially disabled and not only were the books that I had bought essential for me while being sick, but I am on a more limited income as well. This made no difference to Apple, even though I’ve been a loyal customer for fifteen years! Thanks to Audible for making this sick person’s life a bit better and so much easier with a flawless service....

As of version 3.01, whispersync is now working one way only. Reading from a Kindle and opening the book in the audible app will sync it to the right place, but the reverse is not true. Listening in the audible app is not syncing the book to the right place in Kindle. The Kindle book remains where it is. I tried my Oasis Gen 2. I tried the iOS Kindle app. I am having to download the audiobook in the Kindle app instead of the audible app for whispersync to work. Problem is, I prefer the audible app due to changeable skip back duration and the higher quality download option. Please fix whispersync. Update from the previous review - to get the apple watch app not show up every time you use the phone app, go to settings and uncheck 'automatically open music apps'.

Way too pricey

I appreciate the app giving me the ability to listen to my audiobooks through my phone, but it seems crazy that a company wouldn’t allow you to purchase their content.

For getting reading done this app and company have changed my life. New books come out quickly (such as Fear) and I enjoy most of the emails. Lately the app is less consistent staying on especially when I’m just getting going- it turns off spontaneously. I also wish the chapters click was in a less prominent place- I very rarely use it but it frequently gets activated and loses my place. Finally I wish a finished book would stay on the device page long enough for me to delete it- rather than having to go hunt it down amongst all my books to be deleted. Many thanks for asking. You are the reason I own a smartphone!

Recommend this book for all women! Let’s keep our eyes and ears open

Constantly crashes. I listen while I walk my dog. When I leave the house I start it. I get out the driveway and it just stops. I double tap my AirPods and nothing. I hit play on my watch and nothing. I pull my phone out and go to the app and it’s restarting. This situation must happen 3 times a day minimum; sometimes more. Still download the app but just be disappointed with all the crashing.

Although I still like having a book on my nightstand, audible has become the primary way that I read books, especially the really long ones. It’s not an exaggeration to say that it transformed my very long commute in the horrible congested Washington DC traffic, to something that was much more palatable. There were many many days when I was excited to get into my car for the long drive, so I can pick up my story, where I have left off.

This book was really good and I had such high hopes. Then it took a turn to the bizarre. It was so hard to follow in the end. The wrap up was disappointing.

Every emotion a family can go though mixed with sex, lies, gossip. Loved it!

I like listening while driving or cooking. I wish the app would let me go into my audible account- but I use a laptop for that, that my chosen book appears in the audible app, after I go on the computer. Works just fine after that!

Love this ap! It’s my constant go to! It’s a fantastic way to rip through books for the on the go person who frankly doesn’t need her bottom in a chair, but adores books! Only improvement I would suggest is the ability to purchase on the ap. I have to do that on my laptop. ( Could just be user error/LOL)

This book is hilarious, sensitive and sexy. I love Henry and I’m listening to as many of Joel Leslie’s audiobooks as I can find. Tomato and onion bruschetta is my new favorite summer snack! N R Walker on my must read everything list.

I am listening to an audiobook from my Apple Watch and most of the time it starts over from the beginning. And there is no way to change to the chapter I was on last time. I can only jump ahead by 30 seconds. This makes listening from the Apple Watch essentially impossible unless I plan on listening for the entire duration of a book, which I will never do.

This review is for the Apple Watch app which is terrible. Like others have noted, it doesn’t sync. Please fix it. The iPhone app is great, but I’d really like to listen to audible books directly from my watch.

A great guide for someone just getting started or to inspire you to continue to strive for more when you have been a seasoned business owner.

When my son was an infant and I did not have the time to sit and read much anymore, I discovered audible and audiobooks. That was 8 years ago. Being able to listen to a book while cleaning, cooking or driving, honestly, brings me happiness. What I take away from a book when listening to it is quite different than what I take from reading that same book. And, unlike movies which are almost always inadequate when compared with the book it was based on, the audio versions are almost always equal and often, superior. With the help of an outstanding narrator of course. The narrator can definitely make or break a book. I appreciate that Audible continues to improve upon itself. Adding new features for members, maintaining an easy to use and dependable app. The audible app gets more use from me than any other.

This book is brilliantly written by Dr. Caroline leaf. It has opened my eyes to a way of learning that I did not know existed. Although many of the terms that I heard I did not understand, I believe I understand the general concept. This information has brought me to the place that I will purchase the book to read so that I can learn the five step program for learning.

I wish there was the ability to buy a title right through Audible! Only flaw in my opinion

I’m a member , how do I know how many credits I have / books I can download ? There’s nothing in my profile or anywhere that tells me this . Doesn’t this mean the $16 I Pay a month for this should give me 2 new books to listen to and download every month? Looks like I can only get the books on amazon and they are all over $30 each. What is my $16 a month buying me exactly ? Just the ability to keep my books on there ?

The poetic prose almost put me off in the beginning- what’s this? A troubadours story of a serial killer and an unlikely but believable relationship between capture and criminal. But I Couldn’t put this one down. Not too gruesome (enough to get a full minds eye picture) and somehow touching. Sometimes I look at my audible library and think did I listen to this one? I won’t forget this one.

I am so incredibly thankful for Amy who shared this wonderful, life changing, positively heart opening, faithfully living in bliss book. This is definitely a must read/listen to everyone. I am eternally grateful to the author , Love, and divine universe. Namaste #BeKindToAllKind

Gets worse with every update. They randomly included one of the books in my library - one I paid for! - in their Channels category so I could only listen to it by going into Channels. Now they’ve removed Channels and thus removed my ability to listen to the book that I paid for. So thanks, Audible... hope people enjoy your Originals content. And they won’t.

I listen to audibley every chance I can. Love the readers! I wear my earbuds and listen whenever I am doing mundane chores or driving.

Or at the very least kicked to the amazon mobile app. You can’t even purchase audible titles on that. You have to go to desktop to pick out new titles. WHYYYY

Amy’s presentation of the people of the old of the new testament it was not boring and in fact kept interest and off I would recommend this call Mont very.

I love the whole experience It’s magical

This was very interesting for me. It’s the first book I’ve listened to with British accents, so it was weird at first, but then I got used to it in no time and got very comfortable with each characters voices. It is also my first book by this author. There were times where I thought it got kind of boring, but then something would happen to pull me back in. And then holy crap! The ending was crazy!!

After sitting and reading on the computer at work for 10-12 hours a day, who wants to come home, sit and read some more! Don’t get me wrong, I love to read but when I come home I need to move and do home chores. Audible allows me to multitask and get both done in half the time! Love it. I can use it in the car or when traveling!! It’s wonderful! I can listen to a 200 page book in 6 hours!

While I can understand their hesitance to allow customers to lend their purchases to each other, the fact that I cannot buy a specific audible title as a gift for someone is ridiculous.

Great trilogy! Detailed science theory, fast action, in depth characters! As always, great for listening on long car rides and boring commutes...all 60 hours!!

There isn’t a day that goes by that I’m working and not at least listening to a portion of a book. Makes my day a lot better. Only issue with the subscription is it’s one book per month. I think it should be at least 2 since it’s $15 a month. But that’s just me. Still a good app

With audible I can finally sleep if no one wants to read to me or tell me a story

This isn’t my actual review, I just want to know how to sign in! I try with my username and password. It doesn’t work, I press “Forgot my password button” I did the stuff, but I never got the email! Please help me!

Includes some interesting topics but it is just that - a collection of topics with no focused direction. Unfortunately the author interjected his politics into story which further detracted from a coherent storyline. Just one more public mouthpiece claiming the sky is falling.

I have been holding off on rating the app because of one pesky thing — the lack of 1.75 playback speed. After the most recent update the new playback speed has been added. Great app. I use it everyday.

At exactly the right moment. Every chapter really opened my eyes and my heart. I feel more encouraged to do the things Im doing and encouraged to do the things I dream of.

By the time I got to chapter four I knew I’d need the hardcover. I knew I would want to highlight parts of the book. Woodward’s writing had me in the room as the story was being told. Excellent read.

I have a long commute and love using the Audible app on my I phone 7. The books download and play well. The only negative in the price. The booms can be quite expensive and one credit doesn’t last me an entire month.

Great companion volume to the terrific iron Druid series. One of my all time faves.

I normally love this app and use it all the time. However, this is the second time an app update deleted all of the titles I already had downloaded with the added twist of making them look like they are still there. This means I will have to manually delete and redownload a book before I can listen to it. They need better quality control checks before pushing out updates.

I loved this book from start to finish. It grabs you right from the start, and doesn’t let you go until the last page.

Since I started using Audible a couple of years ago I’ve always had a book going. I had a lot of sad things going on in my life, and when I got into my books I could escape for a while. Keep up the good work I love the new romance books.

Impossible to find books to download

I listen to A LOT of audible books and this narrator is by far the best.

Currently, the Audible app for iOS is having some serious issues. The iPhone app chapters feature is broken in that one “chapter” contains 3-6 chapters of a book making it hard to find your place. This most recent Audible app update, 3.0.1, was released to include the Apple Watch. This added watch feature has issues as well, including books (more than sometimes) not loading on the watch (before you take “issue,” I checked prior to loading the book; I had plenty of available space on the watch for the book and I DID have the Apple Watch on its charger). When a book DOES load, the loading process is extremely slow to the Apple Watch. I suspect that the transfer process is using Bluetooth instead of/rather than WiFi. WiFi is much faster than Bluetooth. You should make the default transfer process happen over the Apple Watch’s WiFi. AND, (after loading a book with the above difficulty), the “WisperSync” feature is broken in that the place in the book on Apple Watch diverges from the place in the book on the iPhone (Apple Watch Series 3 with watchOS 5.0.1 and iPhone XS with iOS 12). I currently use the above iPhone to listen to my current book, “The Fallen” by David Baldacci even with the chapter issue (above). I Do Not use the Apple Watch app in its current broken state. This app is improving, but surprisingly slowly. Perhaps it’s biggest drawback is that it doesn’t do chapters very well—that is, they often don’t correspond to the chapter numbers of the book itself. Chapter One is usually the introduction, which makes the book’s chapter one into Audible’s chapter two. This is not complicated stuff. The day/night option is a very welcome addition! The lack of an Apple Watch option is a big negative. We need an watch app that allows us to things our ear buds control doesn't--such as repeating last 15 seconds. Chapter info still terrible, even in latest version. When is Audible/Amazon going to work on this app? This is what happens when there is a monopoly. Wish I could play audible books on a different app! Update: nothing improved Update: still no watch app, still no accurate chapter headings. Update: still no progress. Wish I could give it a 0 rating. Still no progress. Chapter numbers do not correspond to actual chapters. Chapter Four might be Chapter One. The Apple Watch is almost useless. What do these guys do all day? As of Sept 29, almost no progress. Still no rewind on Apple Watch, and Siri says it's rewind is not supported bythis app. Chapter numbers are still wildly out of sync with the numbers listed in the app. Most recent is Who We Are and How We Got Here. 74 chapters for a book with 12 chapters. Can't eventides where, say, Chspter Seven might Erin. Nice that you can as n now transfer shook to the Appke Watch--you can be lost there! Are they stupid, lazy, or do they just not care? Hard to know. One other possibility: they want to make sure we buy the Kindle book as well as the audio version. Hmmm...

I didn’t want to be auto-billed I listened to one book. I resent that Audible requires you to navigate quite the labyrinth to unsubscribe. Not to mention, Audible requires that you unsubscribe via your desktop when this service is clearly made to be utilized on your mobile device. AND you lose credits that you've already paid for. ROBBERY.

When I first came across it, I was concerned that as a peer s** educator in college who spent adolescence on the Internet learning about s** and sexuality, this book would not teach me anything new. I was so wrong. I have learned so much that I do believe will transform my s** life. Please read/listen!

Audible has been awesome going to be my new favorite thing I have you recommend

Thanks for adding Apple Watch support to the Audible app. Unfortunately, it’s quite buggy at this time. The most serious problem is that it doesn’t seem to sync its playback position back to the phone (or any other device, for that matter). I have listened to a couple books on the watch for an hour or two. The next time I listened it started back at the beginning, making the app almost useless. The second problem involves the transfer of books from the phone to the watch. It’s very slow and unreliable, with error messages every few minutes. My gut feeling is that this problem is either a watchOS or iOS issue, because transfers to the watch in other apps seem to have similar problems right now. Either that or the documentation on the transfer API leaves out some important details on how to implement reliable transfers. In any case, transfers need to be more reliable. Third, please add a complication capability to the watch app so I can get to it more easily while I’m running or working out. Also, please make sure you implement the various types of complications so I can add it to both the old style and new style watch faces. If these issues are fixed, I will happily change my rating to 5 stars.

I have read countless inspiring self help books, that have all had helpful ideas and “what to change” in my life to make me feel happy. All of them disconnecting me from myself. I loved this book. It gave me permission to let it all go. And just be. In my opinion, it is the answer. I’m grateful that I read it. And am considering repeating it.

I’m disappointed that they took Channels away. They replaced it with Originals which so far is a real let down. Very disappointed.

So the content library books is exemplar, this is the most frustrating, buggy app that I use on a daily basis. Running an iPhone 7 with iOS 11 and now 12, the app is nonresponsive for up to 20 seconds when I first open it And when I switch back to it too tap anything in the UI. And after that 10 to 20 seconds of being nonresponsive, it tries to execute on all of the invite but I gave it, play pause play pause play pause... And I can no longer reliably control the app from my car hardware interface, though I could six months to a year ago. Simply put, this app is maddening in it’s lack of responsiveness.

I love this app, and I use it every day. Please fix the sync to Apple Watch feature. It acts like it’s working, but it just cycles through and restarts the sync. Update on 9/27/18: The sync feature is working now. Had to contact support. They responded the next day which is great. I did a full reset on the Apple Watch, and now it’s fine. Took a few minutes to sync up to the most recent location in the book. Now I can go for a run and listen to audiobooks at my leisure. :-)

Amazingly well written. One of the best books I’ve read. The characters are deep, well developed and real. The descriptive writing is truly beautiful, complex and better than any movie! The narrator doesn’t use different voices for the characters, but he is so skilled that it is unnecessary and would seem exaggerated if he did!

Since my eyes have been going south, Audio Books has allowed me to continue to enjoy great books.

A direct and positive look at the simple tasks, personal, daily, weekly, long terms and the ability to look at self change. A great inspiration and self achieving book. I have enjoyed this app for quite a long time. After updating, the watch app now takes over the screen when listening. The promo for syncing books must be closed each viewing and the playback controls don’t work (assuming they’re intended to control a book downloaded to the watch?). Using the native play/pause controls was great but now it’s obnoxious to switch to Now Playing to control playback from the watch. Please fix!

This book wandered towards me unexpectedly and I dove into it with an open curiosity. Delightful, inspiring, refreshing...I now have a fresh perspective on creativity, how it shows up for me and how I would like to now interact with it. Love the app, but I like to sleep to my books. The timer doesn’t cut it. I’m always restarting the book and re-sleep timing the book. Or waking up two hours later and turning the book off only to have to find my spot the next day. Ugh. My Fitbit know when I fall asleep. Please explore connecting your app to my fitness device and turning off the app when I hit my first deep sleep cycle. Thank you!!

This is one of the most profound and important books I have read in my long life, (though not such a long life when we think of the life of a tree). It is beautifully written, lyrical, poetic, compelling.

Good news: sync to your watch! Bad news: if you're using your phone as the primary device, you can't control the book with your watch. And it keeps bugging you to sync while not giving you the basic control options as a remote for your phone. All in all a good idea, but literally competes against itself if you're using your phone.

This book saved my life to be honest. I was a person who suffered badly from depression and just everyday issues. I was so focused on what I didn’t have and even though I didn’t physically complain about it, my thoughts was enough. I didn’t realize this until I listened to this audiobook. I am going to live my best life, matter fact I’m already living my best life and thanks to the secret, I’m at the happiest that I ever been.

I used to love this app. Use it hours a day. But now I am being annoyed by the incessant notifications on my Apple Watch that I can transfer a book to it. Some may like that feature, but I have no interest. But where I used to access the watch to pause the book, now I get the constant reminder to transfer a book. If you close it, it comes right back. Fix this please.

It takes forever to load a book (about an hour for standard size book), but once it completes the download, it plays perfectly. But then the trouble starts. The next time you return to the Watch app, the latest play position has been lost. I’ve seen it both return to the position when I first loaded the book on the watch, and also to the very beginning of the book. Either is extremely frustrating as you're left with scrambling around trying to find where you left off. Going to the app on the phone, restarting, syncing play position, tried them all and nothing corrects the loss of play position on the watch. Audible, please fix this. The app is so close to my favorite on my phone that this is more than a disappointment. Apple Watch Series 4, iPhone X, both with latest iOS and Audible app versions (as of today).

Would be nice if the author and narrator would learn how to pronounce Tunica. Another author trying to capitalize on southern stereotypes. Better current research would benefit this book greatly. Ole Miss does not turn out hayseeds for lawyers as implicated. Not like Grisham at all as implied in your commercial.

I had a free 30 day trial and have been trying to figure out how to cancel well it charged my account and so I emailed them for some help on how to cancel and they were super helpful and refunded my money. I liked the app just haven’t had time for it so only reason I didn’t want to keep it right now. Customer service 10/10

I’ve been using Audible for a few years now and I absolutely love it. I use this App more than any other App on my phone. I love the wide range of speed settings that I’ve only found on Audible. The clarity of the story and quality of sound is the best I’ve heard yet no matter the speed setting. The audio selection is completely amazing. I’ve found books on topics that I couldn’t find anywhere else.

My husband and I love audible. We each have our own membership because we listen so much. We also both just got Apple Watch Series 4. We upgraded the app, we both have the latest iOS, and we have relatively new hardware; he has an XS Max and I have an 8 plus. We tried to sync and it shows that it syncing. Takes about 30 seconds to a minute to “sync” and then, the sync starts all over again, but when it does, it stalls and says it will take around 100 minutes. And then stalls out and says our watches have stopped responding. Also, the message we get when we first sync says to put the watch on the charger to “speed up” the syncing. The only thing it speeds up is how fast you get the “not responding” error message. And btw, charging my watch while it syncs is kinda ridiculous. I want to wear it and this kind of practice is super old-school circa 2005. I gave it two stars because I do love me some audible.

I enjoy having almost any book I’d like at the touch of my fingertips. Especially when a really great book is coming to a close and I’m mid drive or in the middle of the night and I’m unable to jump in the car and run off and grab another book. However, it’s is unfortunate you cannot buy books from the comfort of your app. It’s also uneasy to navigate the app. Functionality needs simplified and the search capability in the app needs attention. I was given a subscription to The Wall Street Journal when I became a member, which I love! However, it often does not update to the current dates read and is impossible to search in the app. I also like to save some of the free “podcast” type offerings Audible provides with your membership, but again, you cannot always access from your app as they randomly disappear. I’m forced to login to the full site, but even then locating “podcasts” (not purchased books) saved is a challenge. None of this would deter me from using audible as I love to read but spend a lot of time commuting in my car and audible allows me the opportunity to enjoy more books than I could otherwise. Though i do hope they progress the usability of their app sooner rather than later.

I bought this book about four months ago. I read the first of the boxed set, and thought it was too slow. So I set it aside, then, this month, I finished my other books and became bored and continued reading this one. I even started over, still believing that the first book was a little slow. Then the story picked up, plot twists were introduced, and all of a sudden I couldn't stop reading. Not to say the first book was boring, but the only tension was in the end. The beginning of it seemed rather Disney. Don't let the first book fool you. You start to love these characters, the character development is fully fleshed out right from the beginning. And by the time you get to the third book, you really don't know what's going to happen to them. In the last book I really thought it was going to and sadly, but it doesn't. I even cried close to the end. I am pleasantly surprised, and I wish I had more to read. It's that feeling when you get to the end of the perfect series but you wish there was more. This book is worth the credit.

Everyone must read this. So relevant in this day and time. A major eye opener and page turner. This book gives such an amazing visual to what we battle with on a daily basis.

I found myself not reading as often as I would like with work and twin 1 year olds. I’ve always like audio books when I drove across country. To date over the past 2 years (2016-2018) I’ve torn through over 150 books, covering almost 3 months of cumulative listening time. Thank you Audible. I only wish there was a membership option above Platinum.

I love the organization and control over my books in the library. The quality of the audio is phenomenal. I listen as I commute to work and at the office. Audible syncs all of your devices so you can pick up where you left off across platforms. The sleep and timer controls make listening before bed pleasant and convenient when you just can’t stop a good book.

I enjoyed this on my ride in to work, right before I went to bed and on the plane on my business trip, finished it in a day and a half. I can relate to it and I just wanted to soak it all in, like you were talking to me! Love her bravery and candidness. Thanks for sharing and I want to share it with my other mom bosses.

Great for listening to books while daily walking Passes the time greatly

This book, the audio version especially, is everything and should reach people, starting with women and young adult women, wide and far. I didn’t want it to end! Rachel Hollis is the best life cheerleader out there. A trillion stars!

While you can now transfer more than 1 book to the Apple Watch you can only read the last one transferred. You are supposed to be able to select any book that has been transferred via the Library Icon but you cannot scroll through them as this does not work. I reported this to Customer Support but their response showed that they did not even read my problem description. I will update my rating if Audible ever manages to fix this.

I think I missed a few chapters by falling asleep during this one. An interesting story but I guessed Mimi’s roll shortly after she was introduced. My favorite character was the psychologist. Certainly not one of the best I’ve read This year but it kept me working in the garden & walking briskly as I listened. It was a nice reminder for me to be more sensitive to people who cross my path with different life experience. That’s why I gave it 4 stars.

I’m from South she is so down to earth and everything she says is true. I could relate to all of it and enjoyed her putting it all together. Definitely could picture her as my best friend sipping wine on the porch. On Audible trying to find where all the recipes in pdf she mentions are located though!

This app is amazing on my only Samsung phone. I could buy books, add and view my wishlist ( super useful so I don’t miss out on books I want), I can view my account, etc. it has all the features as if you were using a PC just with a phone friendly interface. However I was extremely disappointed with the IOS version. I can only sync and listen to my books. I can’t purchase or view my wishlist. Super inconvenient.

Wish you could buy books directly from the app or add bookmarks from car console instead of just being able to play, pause or go back 30 seconds.

The watch app update is nice and everything, but I don’t personally have any reason to sync books to my watch. I just want to be able to control books that I’m listening to on my phone from my watch... like we used to. Can you please add that feature back?

We cannot truly understand what it is to be an American without listening to this account by Frederick Douglass. Today, this may help us more than any other media coverage we read currently. If we could all take a step back, black-and-white, Republican or Democrat-read these words of trials and tribulations by a true genius. All peoples of today may have and obviously do have something to gain in understanding of our great and at times our primitive ways in history. As we look back on our history so do our predecessors look back on us. Frederick Douglass knew this understood that and wrote these books for his people and for all the people at the future. May we continue to learn and grow as a human race.

I can listen to my book anytime anywhere!!! Doing the laundry , cleaning the house, driving/riding in the car or surfing the net! I love me some audible!! Audible customer service is always helpful. Audible is GREAT!!

You would think it wouldn’t be that hard to sync a 100mb file to another device, but somehow Audible managed to bungle it to the point where it says it syncs, then tries to sync again, and takes over 20 minutes to do so. Well 20 and counting, it still hasn’t finished. Pretty impressive to fumble the ball this badly with such an anticipated addition.

JB covers every controversial topic related to Autism particularly those that enable the continuation of this Epidemic. Most importantly he settles the debate of vaccines role in the epidemic and reveals those who continue to intimidate real scientists from speaking out and manufacture doubt to protect the vaccination program. His logical science and evidence based approach hits a home run for the vaccine safety movement!

The narrator was excellent! The first word of every sentence cuts out though on the audio.

Maybe it is me, but why can’t I buy books through the app on my IPhone? That would be much easier than having to log into audible on my computer or other device.

Update: I have confirmed my iWatch does not synchronize the play location back to anywhere. I started a new book on my iWatch, listened all day, and the next day it started back at the beginning. This makes the app on the iWatch practically useless. I hope this gets fixed. I was really excited about having Audible on my iWatch finally. It works pretty well for it’s intended use, but I have had a few issues and there are improvement possibilities. First, it is really slow to transfer a book to the iWatch. But with some planning that can be managed. It would be nice if it could be loaded over WiFi rather than Bluetooth but that may be a limitation of watchOS. Once I got the book on my watch, it was very easy to play the book. However, after listening to a book most of the day yesterday, this morning my place was not remembered and it started back at the beginning of the book. Not sure what happened and I hope it is a rare occurrence. One behavior that I do not like is how the Audible app on the iWatch starts when I play a book from my iPhone even if the book was not loaded to the watch. That is a bit of a pain because I typically use the watch to control playback through the Now Playing compilation but that gets circumvented by the Audible app on the watch. Another odd behavior is if I start a book on my iPhone that is loaded on the watch, the Audible app starts but does not actually start playing and the controls do not work either. So what is the point in having the Audible app start when I play something from my iPhone. I look forward to continued improvements with this app on iWatch. It would be nice to have an Audible complication for the iWatch so I could quickly access Audible from the watch face.

🎉 It did improve when the sleep timer was restored to the main page. Thank you! Fans are waiting to have a way to organize books into folders or bookshelves in addition to sort by author or title. The categories Audible uses to market these books (fiction etc) would be a start, but customizable files would be better. It would help to be able to sort completed books from unfinished ones. Audible’s best customers are the ones least likely to enjoy having all their books in one heap: they have too many titles to run through randomly looking for one volume. Somethers have complained about the inability to purchase on this app. I read that Apple charges Audible a 30% fee to sell audio books through an Apple app. So, although it is less convenient to have to go on line to an Audible purchasing site to order new recordings instead of buying directly with an Audible app, it might keep prices from rising due to overhead. That said, the purchasing site is clumsy and annoying to use. It is difficult to find books from any list. On my phone, the wish list and lists of books offered in different special categories are in brief “pages” and to get to the end one of a long list must go through each page to the bottom in order to turn to the next page. If you stop midlist it is necessary to start over. GRRR! No chance to go to a given page directly. As a result, I have no idea what is on the last 80% of my wish list or special offer lists or book category lists. Too much trouble!

9/26/18: It got better for a while (it was, you know, USABLE), but operation is deteriorating. Crashes and more crashes... glitchy as hell... AGAIN. So the c*** rating stays. *sigh* 7/12/18: Still broken, but in a different and worse way. UNUSABLE. 🤦🏻‍♀️ At least I finally talked to a competent CSR who is in the process of merging the multiple accounts (I’ve always been told previously “That can’t be done.”). Gee. Yes, it can. So yay for that. Pity the app is, you know, unusable. 🤷🏻‍♀️ And really. I have to wonder why people are reviewing books in the APP STORE? Really? Useless clutter! Go review books on Audible’s site. Review the APP here. 🙄 ETA: wow, this is still as bad as it used to be, though I have been using it a bit. I have learned that it’s is a total piece of 💩 for anyone with multiple accounts. Log one account out, it says it is going to delete all content—fine. Only... it doesn’t. Logged in with second account, all the downloaded content from first account IS STILL THERE, and the cloud library for acct #2 is EMPTY. Most recent version of the app, closed the app, reopened, no change. And now I cannot even log on to my accounts via the computer and browser. Audible is getting worse and worse and more frustrating than words. I just cannot believe with all the BS and incompetence that I haven’t given up and have invested more than 16 years into this crap, except voracious reader and a love for audiobooks. I guess I’ll be calling their often WORTHLESS customer service. AGAIN. 🤬 — Very little change made to this old review. Added this bit, and the last paragraph, since I came to complain once more about the lack of an iPad version of the app. As a long-time Audible customer (10 years, 600+ title library), I expected more from this app than what Audible delivered. "Badges"? Spare me. I'm not ten years old. I've been listening on the iPhone for years... I'm a "newbie"? That's fairly insulting. The listening stats might be useful, except they don't, you know, work. Hours upon hours of app listening, and no sign of those numbers in the stats. The only thing that shows is the first seven or so hours. The greatest annoyance for me, however, has already been voiced by many others: where is the in-app wish list access? The ability to browse and *acquire* new content on-device? Really, without those things, What Is The Point? The iPhone-as-iPod does just the same thing and does it better, and without the monumentally childish (IMO) badges and other nonsense. I know my listening habits, Audible. I don't need worthless digital clutter telling me what it thinks, nor do I care. Oh, and one more thing: how about a version for the iPAD? One that is sized to fit and one that will sync with the iPhone and compile stats. Wouldn't that be nice? STILL waiting for an iPad version. And waiting. And waiting. And waiting.... Still find the app essentially useless on the iPad and very rarely bother on the iPhone. Oh, well.

I enjoy audible from the moment I leave my house to the moment to go to bed. I drive long distances in my job, audible help me enjoy the drive. I don’t mind traffic because I’m just listening. I love it!

I love audible and in the past the app has worked great. Since the last update, however, I am in able to navigate the slider to advance or regress to different parts of a chapter. This makes it difficult if for whatever reason the reading has progress to a certain point and I want to slide back and listen. The 30 second reverse button works but is too cumbersome to reverse 15 min. Please fix!

Very interesting and quite educational. Although I knew about the Inquisition, I thought it was in Spain and Portugal and didn’t realize that their horrors transcended to the new world. Written very well.

I think the title says it all. Just learned that I can trade books back in. An app I already loved just got better.

I had high hopes for this book because I love travelogues. However, it started to become a list of the men she was interested or disinterested in more than anything else.

3.0.1 fixed the position marker bug. I’ve been a member/subscriber since 2009. I’ve seen many updates and changes to the service and playback ability through various hardware platforms and software updates. Overall I’m satisfied with their service. Audible has an excellent selection of audio books. My only complaint over the years is that the software team needs to really focus on better Quality Assurance before they release updates. The team always seems to introduce fairly large bugs that really detract from the user experience (especially if we are talking about NEW users). That being said, they DO eventually fix the bugs - sometimes faster than others. Some of the really nice features I particularly enjoy are; 1) The whisper sync ability to both read and listen to the book. 2) The new Apple Watch integration (though it can still use some work - being new and all I expect further updates on this. 3) The single file high quality download ability 4) The ability to download an entire book on cellular connection when I am traveling Some improvements I’d like to see; 1) when listening to an audio book on my phone, while having the watch app, but NOT having the audio book transferred to the watch - please have the app work like the “now playing” app on the watch so I can still control the playback. I can still use the now playing card in the dock but every time I raise the watch, the audible card comes up asking me to sync - just allow a pass through type of control using your app interface if the audio book is on the phone only. Or playback is occurring through the phone. 2) bookmark management and selection UI/Layout needs to be improved- it’s clunky. 3) please allow us to edit our reviews once posted

With the latest update, the audible app is not working with Apple Watch. On the watch, it is showing a prompt to download a book onto the watch itself. If you try to close this, it just pops up again. I have tried installing and uninstalling and resetting. The problem persists. I enjoy audible, but this bug needs to be fixed ASAP.

The main Audible app for iPhone and iPad are great. I’m sorry I can’t review the Apple Watch portion separately but since it’s all considered a single app, I cannot give it any higher than this. The syncing between watch and other phone is one way - from phone to watch. It doesn’t sync from watch to phone. If you move the current location on the phone, it moves on the watch, whether you want it to or not. If you listen for a while on the watch (which is great, not doubt about it) the location is not updated, so when the 2 are near each other the watch goes back to where the phone is. It looks to me like whomever designed the watch app hasn’t actually used it.

I love this app, and I use it every day. Please fix the sync to Apple Watch feature. It acts like it’s working, but it just cycles through and restarts the sync.

This was an excellent book. I have read many civil war books. Never have I heard of the significance of Lincoln ‘s Independence Day speech. The explanation that Lincoln gave concerning the reasons the Union was obligated to wage this war and give all to win, was extraordinary. It was the reason why we must wage war for any reason a group of citizens would attempt to destroy our government whether by secession, rule by minority, destroy separation of powers or any other way they would change our form of government.

Incredible... there is no one that should miss the opportunity to read or listen to this book. I am a avid audiobook listener and will pass these profound teachings on to everyone that will listen. Haven’t read the book i enjoyed listening to it.

It just constantly fights with the iPhone version of audible. If you listen to audible on your phone, you can no longer use your watch to pause or adjust volume, until you’ve downloaded the book onto your watch as well as your phone. Even if you do that, it’s still a very bumpy experience. The watch doesn’t preserve read, so if you’re listening at 2x volume, then use your watch to pause/play, you’re back to 1x speed. It’s so bad I’ve had to uninstall the Apple Watch version so I can use Apple’s Now Playing app. All I need the audible watch app to do is support play/pause but apparently that’s too heavy a lift.

Engaging characters, a heart felt and sometimes heartbreaking story kept me thoroughly engaged. I wanted Sam’s story to continue. It is one of the rare books I hated to see (or rather hear) end. The book is read by the author who beautifully brings his story and his characters to life. Sam’s mother is particularly well drawn and her unshaken faith, even, in times of great adversity is inspiring. There are lots of laughs and a few tears. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to read an endearing character study. I will not easily forget Sam or his mom.

Love audiobooks. I believe that before Audible belonged to Amazon I could loan books to another person- more thane. Now that’s changed. Boo on you Audible.

Not only was the book’s content compelling, well written and relevant; the reader transported me into the very presence of Strobel’s interviews by capturing each character with a different distinct voice. I was unwittingly led into thinking the reader was sitting across from me and telling a story rather than reading a book..well done! Thank you.

Despite these troubled times, Jim Comey managed to leave me more encouraged than discouraged. Two-thirds of the book is about his time before the Trump administration and this was especially interesting.

I was super excited for the ability to listen to audiobooks on the watch without the phone, but the execution is poor. The book on watch and phone need to sync. You need to be able to control the phone from watch. You can if you switch to “now playing” native apple app, but the watch keeps switching automatically to the audible watch app, so if you aren’t using the watch to listen at the moment, controlling the app with the watch is a pain in the but. Some minor tweaks and this will be a 5 star again, but till they bring back the quality of life with ease of control that the Apple Watch use to bring, it’s a downgrade from me. (The fix: have watch and phone sync and either allow the audible watch app to control the phone and seamlessly switch to watch when out of range of phone, or make it so if you aren’t using the watch to listen, the watch app doesn’t keep coming to foreground, making controls harder to find on the watch. This is a problem either you have the book synced to the watch or not).

I hadn’t realized how highly educated and achieved Omarosa is, until this book. Although she cannot successfully claim, as she did in the book, she was advocating for Blacks, she achieved your life’s goal of being a famous minority female. As difficult and racist as this White House seems, she sold her soul, made it on the staff, and was foresighted enough to document everything and spill the beans. I am glad she found love in her husband, and her Savior Jesus Christ. Hopefully, Omarosa has been exorcised of the Trump Demon, and will live happily ever after. I loved the book, and totally believe her experience.

Absolutely love the app, but very expensive to own any books if not on the monthly plan. I don’t want to be limited to a book/month. Maybe if it was 2-3/month. A 4-star review until something changes.

Apple Watch App need to be fixed. The “transfer a book from your iPhone” message keeps popping up. I can’t get it to go away. I have uninstalled the app from my watch multiple time and reinstalled it. I had to keep tapping my watch for an hour to get it to sync. At least my phone says it’s synced but watch still has the pop up and show no content when I close the pop up be fore the pop up returns. If I leave the watch on the charger like they say. The phone can’t transfer. Keeps saying connection lost. Also needs to be able to use WI-FI to do downloads so it doesn’t take forever. Don’t know if this is an Apple restriction but needs also to be able to download in the background

I really enjoyed listening to audible in the car during my commute. It was great that I could control it from my watch! I could rewind and pause from my watch, without the need to open my phone. However, ever since the IOS update, I can’t do this anymore. If I start a book from my phone, my watch won’t control it. If I sync the book to my watch and connect it to my Bluetooth device for the car, I can just faintly hear it with the volume all the way up, and yes my volume is all the way up on my watch. It’s terrible! I wish it was just left alone.

This book is so rich in thought and detail! It is definitely thought provoking and informative and brings about many necessary conversations for people who are ready to make in difference in education. I would recommend this title to all educators, no matter what color you are! It has shifted my perspective and given me new lenses to view my own daily teaching practices.

The watch app works well as a standalone app without the iPhone. However, the watch app pops up when you are listening to books on the phone, however, it doesn’t work properly. Volume control and skipping doesn’t work, and you can’t even pause. The now playing screen on the watch DOES work, but the watch app defaults to audible app when listening on the phone. Please fix!

I’ve meet Luke on many occasions and he is a genuine great person. I’m so glad but not surprised he recorded his own voice for the audio book. I loved all the great stories and experiences he talked about and other peoples take on events. It’s a great read and I highly recommend it.

I like the idea of having books on my watch, but the current integration is annoying as when I raise my wrist when listening from my phone I don’t get a now playing screen but the audible app with no controls.

Update: I did use the watch app for listening to a book and absolutely love the interface(much better than Overcast). This makes me more upset as I cannot use it for playing a book from the phone. Please please fix that! :) First, I really appreciate the effort to create the watch app as it has been missing for a long time and sadly it shows the inexperience. There is no attempt to make the watch app usable for anything but as a stand-alone app. The problem here is that the app gets launched automatically anytime you use audible on the phone. Please take some time to study how Marco management to make it work property in his Overcast app. Will restore the rating when this issue is fixed. Don’t you guys actually test your app? Make sure to do your testing from a complete fresh start and you will see the shortcomings clearly

Ok, the plot and the scrapes the crew get out of were predictable. But, I am still a fan of the Oregon and her team... even though she is probably the best known secret ship afloat, from her many previous adventures. Scott Brick did his usual masterful job of narration. Along with the proven formulaic Cussler story line, its hard to swing and miss. New To The Oregon Files Books?? This is the latest (2018) Oregon tale. But, like most of CC’s books it can be read stand alone without having read any previous books in the series.

Current version of the watch app has a bug. Keeps displaying the info on downloading a book the the watch. Select Done and flashes away to show normal controls and the. Beings up the s***** instructions again. Watch app totally useless at this time. Tried to call since I couldn’t find a easy way to report the bug and was told smart watches were not supported.

This book kept me mesmerized from the very beginning. I laughed often and cried too. Great writings and Great narration

Love everything about these books & the app!

Only thing I have to critique is that some of the books sound like they are read by a robot. You know how you always say I wish I read more, well know I do. I love how many books I can get through doing chores and stuff.

Will have to try the watch part of the app, glad they FINALLY added it. I’ve been a member/subscriber for since 2009. I’ve seen a lot of changes and some rather frustrating updates and issues. Overall I’m satisfied with audibles support and products. I wish the team was a little better at bug fixing this seems to be a constant source of irritation over the years. Some recommendations I still have; 1) let me edit my reviews after submitting them. 2) reinstall the app or new upgraded phone = lost “finished” marks on titles still - please fix 3) browse titles to get via credits in the app on the iPhone. After the latest update, the position marker in the app does not update correctly, however it does on the iPhone lock screen. I’m almost done with my current book - not sure if moving on to newly downloaded title will fix - perhaps this bug is related to this book as the update happened while in the middle of it.

This was a fast moving book that I had to pay close attention to in order to not get lost, but it was riveting. The person who read it was phenomenal at bringing the story to life. It read like a movie and I wouldn’t be surprised to see it made into one.

Beta version? Love Audible, but cannot get books to sync to watch. Following the instructions, but can’t get to work. Please fix!

So enough said right! If you are a fan of the movies these audiobooks are a must!!! And Jim Dale is spot on!

The audible app has issues resuming playing after a pause. When I use my headphones to resume play, it come back for a seconds and then pauses again. Then I have to press play again. Very frustrating, especially with AirPods.

What can I say but I’m addicted to Audible.
